RW: So, if anyone has noticed, I didn't add NeoYami's name to this also. Because she didn't write any of this, I did. Why am I putting it here? Because it fits pretty good! Why I wrote this? Funny story actually.
It's my English project I did a little while back. XD We had to write a romance story that also worked with Coming of Age, King Arthur stories and such, so this is what I got. ^_^ There were some changes I had to do so it didn't freak her out like 1) they're all human, 2) Baku is a girl (my teacher would have flipped if I wrote yaoi LOL), 3) Ybaso is Baku's father--
Ybaso: T_T++++++ Why me!!
RW: Because! XP I didn't have a name for Baku's father back when I wrote this. ^.^;;;
Ybaso: -.-0
RW: And you'll see the others. Enjoy~!

~*~*~*~*~*

The country side was as beautiful as ever as Zero rode down the road on his obedient steed from a dangerous quest to aid his fellow knight. He took a deep breath, filling his lungs with the refreshing summer scent while letting his mind wander.
I can't wait to see my beloved Baku again... I hope she is not worried, I want not to make her fret over me...
His horse reared back and startled him, forcing him out of his train of thought. Zero pulled on the harness to calm the creature while peering to see what disturbed it.
"What's this?" He said aloud while swinging his leg over the horse and gently landing on the ground. Walking over to the body lying stranded in the road, he knelt down beside the person, shaking their shoulder slightly. "Hello? Are you alright?" Zero, after receiving no response, turned them over onto their backside, revealing that it was a blonde-haired girl in her mid-twenties. He brushed a long lock of hair from her face to feel if there was warmth in her bruised face. Nodding unconsciously, he lifted her carefully by the waist and hung her over his horse before mounting himself and slowly riding off.

The bubble floated upward, swaying to and fro in the breeze before popping on Baku's nose. She giggled slightly before returning her attention to the work at hand. Grabbing the wet fabric with her delicate hands, she dunked it back underwater while grating it against the washing board. For a long while her hands continued to soak in the soap water as she scrubbed the material indifferently against the wooden board. Feeling a tad less determined, she pulled her weary hands back while cracking the knuckles and examining the shirt.
Blowing a red strand of hair out of her line of vision, Baku smiled triumphantly at her handy work as the hot summer sun beat down on the ground.
"Good as new," she chirped while standing up and bringing the dripping shirt to the cloth line before noticing the button sized hole near the chest cavity. "Or not..." She muttered while sticking her thumb threw the hole. Sighing, she hung it over the line anyway. "Well, at least it doesn't have any blood stains on it!" Baku told herself before digging in the pile of clothes to be washed.
"Baku, don't stay out in the sun too long," Ybaso warned, stepping out of the doorway into the backyard while jamming his hands in his pockets. He strolled over to her and knelt down beside her.
"I won't daddy," She promised while giving him a quick peck on the right cheek with a scar stretched across it. He smiled as he watched her return to her duties to scrub out some more stains.
"When is Zero coming back?" He asked while letting his eyes follow her hand move the next shirt along the washing board.
"Sometime today he should be back... Oh, that reminds me, I need to go shopping today!" She said, standing up and hurrying inside the house. He stood slowly and followed behind, watching her run around in the house to find the list.
"If you want, I could do it today. I don't have anything else to do, plus you are very busy at the moment..."
"No thanks, father!" Baku pulled the small slip of paper out of the pile and grinned, she hurried by to the front of the house while grabbing the money purse. Throwing the door open, she waved at Ybaso. "I can handle it!"
"Baku, look-" Baku plowed into Zero, stumbling backwards and falling on her butt sorely. He took a step back, being caught off guard, and knelt down to Baku.
"Dear, are you alright?" Baku opened her eyes in surprise before being filled with joy.
"Zero!" She pounced on him happily, knocking him flat on his back and wrapping her arms around him. Zero laughed while trying to sit back up.
"I missed you also, Baku..." He gave her a quick kiss before prying her off of himself and standing up. Ybaso chuckled at the two lovers while shaking his head slightly. "Here, come look," Zero said while leading her to the girl lying on his horse. Baku's eyes traced the girl's tattered body, examining her torn clothing and hemorrhaging limbs.
"What happened?" She asked with worry filled in her voice. Ybaso casually came out of the house to accompany them, also waiting for Zero's answer.
"I found her like this on the road here..." Ybaso nodded before moving over to the horse.
"Come on, let's get her inside."

The girl's eyes fluttered open slowly, trying to take in everything around her. Her eyes glanced around the dark candle lit room as shadows jumped across the walls before locking on Baku standing in the corner of the room looking at a picture. Her eyes lit up as she looked over Baku from her short, wavy red hair to her chocolate brown eyes. Baku blinked for a moment before turning back to the girl.
"Oh," Baku gasped in surprise. "You're awake! How are you feeling?" The girl averted her eyes to the wooden floor.
"I..." The girl started in a hoarse voice. "Where am I?" She managed to choke out while sitting up and examining her bandaged arm.
"In my father's house," She chirped while grinning like an idiot. "So what's your name?"
"Sheela..." She muttered while glancing at Baku for a second before quickly returning her eyes to the floor. "What about you?"
"Oh, I'm sorry! My name is Baku!" She bowed slightly before placing her hands on her hips. "Your voice is really rough, would you like a glass of water?" Sheela nodded sheepishly as Baku quietly left the room on cue. After Baku closed the door, she sighed and glanced at the picture of a couple on the wall. A soft knock came from the door as she sank down in the bed.
"Uh, come in..." Zero cracked the door open and peeked into the room.
"I hope I am not disturbing you..." Sheela inspected Zero impassively yet was stricken with surprise by his deep cerulean blue eyes.
"No, it's okay." He opened the door all the way and came in.
"Baku told me you were awake, what happened to you? I found you in the middle of the road beaten to a pulp earlier today..." Sheela glanced up at Zero's eyes before bringing her eyes back to the floor. "Don't feel intimidated, I won't hurt you..."
"I...I don't know. I can't think..."
"That's okay, there isn't a rush." She rubbed hands against the soft blanket nervously.
"So, are you Baku's father or..." Zero busted out laughing, startling Sheela badly.
"Oh no! Not even close," He exclaimed while sitting down in a chair across from her bed and pulling a rose from the vase on the desk. "I'm Zero, her fiance." She clenched her hands into fists with the blanket but smiled.
"Ah, I see. I'm sorry. Who is that, in the portrait?" Zero blinked while rolling his head to the side.
"Oh you mean that one over there?" He asked while pointing to the corner of the room. "That's Baku's parents, before her mother died... Sadly, I never met her." Sheela stared at the crusty picture before something clicked in her head.
"Oh! My sister," She gasped.

Baku approached the door merrily with the glass, she was about to push the cracked door open all the way when she heard Sheela. She paused to listen to her.
"What was that?" Zero asked returning his attention to Sheela.
"I remember now! That man took my sister and threw her in a cave guarded by a dragon..." Baku's eyes softened as she hung her head. Zero placed the rose back in the vase, and stood up.
"Don't worry. If it means that much to you..." Baku swallowed hard, knowing very well what he was going to say next. "I'll go rescue her." She sadly turned away from the door and walked off, forgetting that she still had the glass of water.

Baku trudged in the room and flopped down on the couch while putting the glass of water on the table. Ybaso looked up from his glasses and looked over his shoulder at Baku.
"What's with the long face?"
"The guest woke up..." She muttered while lying on her side and burying her head in a pillow.
"And Zero's flirting with her?"
"I don't care if he is." He took off his glasses and turned his chair around to her.
"Alright, what's wrong?"
"Sheela's sister is being held in a cave guarded by a dragon..."
"And Zero's going to go off and help," he finished for Baku and sighed. "You know, you aren't married yet, there are plenty of fish in the sea. Too many in fact..."
"Daddy, don't even suggest that! Zero is the only one for me," she pouted and slightly raised her head from the smothering pillow. "I love everything about Zero except this habit to run off at any sign of adventure..."
"No one is perfect, there may be something about you he isn't fond of either-"
"Is that why he keeps going away," She cried while sitting back up.
"No, his passion for exploring and helping others is what drives him away! What I'm trying to say is sometimes you have to accept the bad with the good." Baku sighed while hanging her head slightly to her chest.
"You're right daddy..." Ybaso smiled before setting his glasses back in place and turning around back to his reading.

Zero peeked into the bedroom from the hall and glanced around as if looking for something.
"Hey baby," Baku asked while sneaking up behind Zero. He flinched slightly before turning back to Baku. "What are you doing?"
"Hi honey, you startled me," He said while turning around and hugging her. "I was looking for you actually." Baku let her eyes fall to the floor while resting her head on his strong shoulder.
"I know what you are going to tell me..."
"You know about Sheela's sister, Syoka?" She mellowly nodded. "I'm sorry Baku..." He pulled her back and kissed her on the lips. "If you really want me to stay, I can just-"
"No thanks, it's alright Zero," she murmured before nibbling softly on his lips. "But this will be the last trip for, at the very least, a week!" She smiled while pulling back, he placed his hand on her shoulder.
"I give you my word."

--

"From the directions Sheela gave me, the cave should only be a days worth of travel to arrive and another day to travel back..." Zero announced while securing his sword on the right side of his waist. Baku glanced up at the morning sun while stepping outside the door to greet her father and soon-to-be-husband. She smiled cheerfully before placing a tied up package in Zero's hands.
"I don't want you to rush, Zero, I want you to be careful. Dragons are infamous merciless beasts." He took the small box-shape package and secured it onto the side of his horse.
"Alright, then I will be back in three days," Zero mounted the horse swiftly before turning back to look at Ybaso and Baku. "I promise."
"You better," Ybaso grunted while giving Zero semi-threatening eye. Zero chuckled, knowing that was his was of saying 'be back on time', and waved as the horse turned toward the east.
"No worries!"

--

The night sky shone with stars upon the land below, Zero sat on the gentle grass lost in thought.
I really shouldn't keep doing this to Baku... it isn't very fair...
He sighed while lying back, tucking his hands behind his head while watching the sky. His horse fidgeted slightly while being tied to a tree.
"Maybe I should end my journey for a while..." He said to himself aloud, while glancing at the horse. "You would like it also, huh?" He tore a blade of grass off and let go, watching the wind pick it up and take it away.
It's hard having two loves. My one is fair Baku, but my other is sweet enterprise...
He plucked another blade of grass and watched it float onward while running a hand through his midnight black hair. He rolled over on his side to get comfortable.
What am I going to do?

Zero rode up to the illusive murky cave, pausing at the entrance to observe the surroundings. A foul odor clung to the air wafting from the dripping cave. A dead, wiry tree loomed by the outside in the dry hard ground. The morning sun failed to shine onto the gray ground from the clouds in front of it.
How macabre...
He dismounted, tying the rope around his horse's neck to the tree. After ensuring that it was tied tight and tearing off one of the tree's limbs, he gallantly entered the cave.
Inside, he lit a torch with a stray stone and tree limb to show his surroundings. Ignoring the scattered bones and smell of rotting flesh, he ventured further into the cave, becoming more excited with the obvious danger he was wandering in to.
Am I to give this up for Baku...?
Zero was shaken from his thoughts as he heard a thunderous boom come from deep inside the cave. He trembled with glee as he unsheathed his sword and charged onward into the peril.

Baku remotely kneaded the lump of dough with the palms of her hands, watching the rhythmic motion. Ybaso stepped into the room wearily before taking a seat on a wooden chair and glancing at Baku.
"Good morning," He yawned while sipping some tea and leaning back in his chair.
"Good morning father..." He looked up from his glass at Baku kneading the dough.
"You're over-kneading it." She blinked, returning to consciousness and noticing the beaten bread.
"Oh..." She said picking it up and sliding it into the oven anyway.
"Baku, your face is too beautiful to be spiritless and pale. You're worried about Zero, aren't you?" Baku took off the apron and pulled up a seat on the other side of the table before nodding quietly.
"You shouldn't fret so much about him," Ybaso said, pouring a glass of tea for Baku and handing it to her across the table. "He is a very responsible knight, he can handle himself."
"I know..." Baku admitted while slightly slouching down in her chair and staring at the white tablecloth. "But he's never fought a dragon before. If humans can wound him with swords, what can a beast with giant jaws do?"

What Zero found was not a fire-breathing dragon at all, but a fiery women banging unusual instruments together. He lowered his sword as she looked up to him in joy.
"Alas, I have finally found a brave knight to sweep me off my feet! A glorious day, is it not?" He became cross, but tried to keep a good manner, being a knight after all.
"Are you not the one called Lady Syoka?" She nodded before skipping over to him and locking her arm around his.
"Yes, indeed I am. I hope I did not startle you with my hoodwink, I even had to frightened my own naive sister and family into believing I was ensnared in the dragon's lair. This way word would seep out and bring out the finest of knights to test their courage!" She pulled him along until they were out of the cave, continuing on and on about her brilliant idea. "Oh but where are my manners? Sweet valiant knight, do speak of your name, for I am sure that it is one of which matches intrepid heart!" He pulled his arm away from her, becoming pestered quickly by Syoka's attitude.
"I am Zero, the only thing that can pull me away my dear lover is a challenge, now may you please-"
"That is so romantic, Sir Zero!" Syoka giggled and drew him to a forced hug. He sighed while glancing up at the cloud-covered sky, wishing he had not left on this 'journey' in the begin with and had only listened to Baku.
"Hear now, I did not mean you, I was referring to-"
"Come, let's ride back to my father's castle, how I long for the soft beds of home!" Syoka hopped onto his horse as he disentangled the rope.
I think I might miss home also...
He looked down at the muddy rocks and dried branch roots, burying himself in thought.
"Is there something wrong?" Zero looked up and disdainfully hopped onto his horse also.
"No..." He said before lowering his voice to mumble under his breath. "Must you be so pompus?"
"What was that," Syoka asked as the horse began to ride off.
"Nothing."

Baku continued to sit on the opposite side of the table from Ybaso, her head resting on her arms and eyes fixed on the certain spot on the white table cloth. The room remained deathly silent, Ybaso sighed and pushed back some graying hair from his line of vision before drinking the last bit of tea in his glass.
Somehow Baku had never noticed how blindingly clean and bright the bleach-white table cloth was. Her mind continued to marvel over the sterility of it.
"Baku," Ybaso finally broke the tranquility of the quiet house. "Did you get much sleep last night?" She groaned and groggily looked up at him.
"What makes you say that?"
"Well, for starters, you have been staring at that one spot for over an hour now. Plus I know you too well- you probably too worried about Zero that you couldn't get any sleep." She nodded her head drowsily and went back to gazing at the certain spot on the table cloth. He shook his head to the side and stood up, walking over to Baku. "Come on, let's get you to bed," He said while pulling her from her seat and aiding her to stand. She groaned as he ended up just lifting her up and bringing her to her room.
"Thanks daddy...," She mumbled softly as he laid her down in bed. He placed his hand on her forehead.
"I was wondering why you were so sweaty, you have a fever..." He pulled his hand away and went to the door to get some water.
"But daddy," she moaned while trying desperately to keep her eyes open. "I have a lot of things to do today..."
"Don't worry about it, you just get some rest. You don't want to be sick for Zero, right?" She nodded her head slightly, leaning back more and letting her head sink into the pillow.
"Yeah..."

Zero gaped at the castle as they approached the gate.
"Isn't it impressive? My father really goes all out on outward appearance, but I really don't blame him." Zero held the sides of his head as Syoka continued to ramble on about various things he couldn't care less about. "Well?"
"Well what?!" He sputtered, patience and sense of gentlemen manners lost.
"You need to tell to the guardsmen atop the tower about rescuing me before we can go inside!" He pouted, becoming irate.
"Why can't you do it?"
"Because, silly, I simply cannot strain my voice! It would be a horrible tragedy!"
"You're a horrible tragedy..." He mumbled before raising his voice. "I wish to speak with your Lord!! I have come, bearing your daughter after fighting the fearsome beast that held her captive in a cave!!" The gate doors began to retract, leading them into the castle corridors. Crimson silk emblems lined the walls as Zero and Syoka dismounted the horse and walking up to her father. She embraced him and stood next to him as Zero knelt down out of duty.
"Sir Knight, you have saved my daughter from perils that no other man shalt face! Do speak thy name and I will grant thee whatever you wish." Zero glanced back up at the King.
"I am Sir Zero, and I wish for nothing but to be sent back on my journey." Syoka blinked confused.
"But Sir Zero, I must protest! Surely you want to remain here in the castle, with me..." She bleakly smiled.
"I am disheartened to tell you this, but my heart already belongs to a fair lady named Baku. I am sorry that this ruins your plans, but I am a knight so I can help those in need of assistance, fight beasts who dare hurt the innocent, and test my skills against noble men- not to fall for every pretty face I meet on the way. Do not feel saddened, one day you will find your true love, like I have found mine. If anything this skirmish has taught me that there are many adventures in life, but you'll only have one love." Tears formed in Syoka's eyes as she ran off to her corridor to cry.
"Sir Zero," Her father spoke angrily. Zero winced before turning back to face him. "I am very grateful for your patronage, but I am also angered by your rejection! Since you wished nothing, you will repent by continuing your journey on foot. Take your belongings and leave!" Zero nodded heavy-hearted before turning and walking away.

--

Baku paced back and forth, occasionally glancing out the window to the night sky before ringing out her hands. Sheela sat on the couch and watched Baku take fours steps, turn on her heel, and take four more steps.
"He's said he would be back by today..."
"I'm sure he's just running a bit late," Sheela suggested while smiling. Baku paused from her pacing and turned to her.
"You think so," she asked, distressed. Sheela nodded while patting the couch to gesture to Baku to come sit down next to her. Baku did so while continuing to ring out her hands, Sheela threw her good arm around her shoulders.
"It's alright, there's no need to get upset about it! Maybe he got a bit lost, or decided to take a short rest along the way." Baku still looked at the ground distressed.
"Zero never gets lost..."
"But he might have taken a short nap, right?" Baku nodded her head quietly. "Yeah, he might have been tired after fighting the dragon, it must have been hard you know..." She only continued to fidget as Sheela continued to spill her thoughts. "Or he could also have paused to stop the bleeding in his leg or treat the burns from slaying the dragon..." She glanced at the ceiling, momentarily forgetting that she was trying to comfort Baku. Baku shuddered and buried her head in her hands. "Or maybe he couldn't stop the bleeding and-"
Baku began to wail, burying her head in a nearby pillow and crying. Sheela noticed her mistake and began to give her a back rub. "Baku, I'm sorry! I was just trying to make you feel better..." Ybaso stepped into the room, glaring at Sheela, causing her to shrink back away from Baku, and moved over to Baku's side.
"Baku, what are you doing out of bed? You're still sick. Don't worry about Zero, as I said before, he can handle himself." Baku looked up from the pillow and hiccuped while wiping some salty tears away.
"B-But," She stuttered as he took her hand and helped her on her feet. "I can't just lay around when Zero could be in trouble..." Ybaso gave Sheela a quick sneer before turning back to Baku.
"Baku, if Zero isn't home by tomorrow, I'll go and see what is taking him." Baku sniffled and smiled.
"Really? You've never left me home alone before..."
"Yes I will, you won't really be alone..." He glanced at Sheela, who brightened immediately. "Now get to bed." Baku nodded obediently and kissed him on the cheek.
"Thank you, good night daddy!" As soon as Baku had clicked the door to her room, Ybaso glared back at Sheela. She smiled nervously.
"Um, sorry about that. I didn't mean to make her cry..." He snorted before sitting down.
"I know I am a bit protective over her, but she is all I have..." He sighed before glancing at Sheela. "If I have to go tomorrow, don't make her go. And remember this: if something bad happens to her, I will hunt you down." He glared slightly before leaving the room himself. Sheela sat there on the couch, a little lost from everything that happened. She smirked while chuckling slightly.
"No worries..." She burst out laughing. Ybaso opened the door and raised a questioning eyebrow. Sheela immediately covered her mouth before smiling meekly to him again until he decided to leave again.

--

Zero huffed while flopping down on his bottom behind the tree. He leaned against it and tried to catch his breath.
Why did he have to take my horse?!
He sighed irritated while glancing up at the stars again. At least the small meal Baku had packed for him was good. But it still wasn't enough for traveling for almost two days and only a few miles away from home. He clawed at the base of the tree and tried to pull himself to his feet but collapsed again.
I'm not going to make it by morning... Poor Baku...
He wiped some sweat off his brow while trying to get comfortable.
I'll get there tomorrow...

--

Zero stirred unwillingly as the audacious horse feet galloped by the tree. He blearily blinked his eyes in focus to see Ybaso disappear behind a hill. It took a few minutes for his brain to register what he saw.
"Sir Ybaso?" He said pulling his body away from the comfortable support of the tree. "I bet he's going off to find me..." He yawned while stretching out his limbs. "Time to get back to Baku, and this time I won't leave her to run off on some dangerous journey!" He forced himself on his weary feet and pushed onward.

Baku also stirred unwillingly to the slamming of a door.
"Zero," She mumbled, half conscious, before opening her eyes.
"No, it's me." Sheela purred while approaching the side of Baku's bed. Baku blinked a few more times before rubbing her eyes.
"Oh. Hi Sheela, is Zero home?" She asked hopefully. Sheela smirked mischievously while sitting down on her bed.
"Nope, Ybaso just left." She said while pulling her legs over onto the bed. Baku looked down saddened.
"I see..." Sheela continued to sit there and purr while watching Baku.
"We're alone..."
"Yup." Baku sighed before throwing the covers off. "Well, with father not around, I can still do all those chores! Man, have they piled up over two days-" Baku moved to sit up when Sheela pushed her down. Baku blinked before hanging her head. "Aw, don't tell me daddy told you to make sure I stayed in bed..."
"Indeed he did," She said scooting closer to Baku. Baku leaned back against the headboard.
"Shame."
"Oh, I don't think it's a shame," Sheela, now sitting next to Baku, stroked Baku's arm. Baku blinked innocently.
"Is there something on my arm?" Baku examined her arm.
"No..." Sheela whispered. Baku sat, completely oblivious, before brightening.
"What are you whispering and drawing circles on my arm? Hey, do you want to share secrets??" Sheela smiled sadistically.
"Sure, you first..."
"Well... To tell you the truth, I'm still a virgin..." Baku said while blushing slightly from embarrassment. Sheela chuckled while drawing even closer to Baku.
"Ah, sweet innocence. Do you want to hear mine...?"
"Yeah!" Sheela grabbed Baku and pulled her into a passionate kiss, letting her tongue explore Baku's mouth. Baku sat there in shock until, finally, after a few minutes, Sheela pulled back to let both of them have air. After catching her breath, Baku exploded with questions.
"How is that a secret?? And why did you do that, Zero might not be too happy with this..." She said while scooting back to the edge of the bed.
"My secret?" Sheela asked while approaching even closer. "I go both ways," She said while licking the side of her lips. Baku sat speechless in surprise and disgust.
"Wait, you mean, you like-like me?"
"Oh, I like you more than that..." Baku back away further until she tumbled off the bed.
"But... Sheela, that's not right!" She yelled while cowering below Sheela on top of the bed.
"Sorry Baku, some girls don't play by the rules..." Sheela pounced on Baku pinning her under herself and ripping off her shirt.
"That was my night shirt!"
"Was is the key word," Sheela grabbed Baku by her jaw, digging her nails in her skin.
"What are you going to do," Baku asked on the verge of tears and having difficulty breathing under her.
"Patience my pretty kitty... just lie just like that and watch..."

--

Zero barged threw the door before falling to his knees.
I need to start jogging in the mornings...
He looked up and noticed that he hadn't been grabbed or hugged from the second he came in the door. And the house was quiet.
"Baku?" Everything looked the same to him. Zero scratched his head when a thought crossed his head. Ybaso had left earlier that morning, she was home alone for the first time. Trying to keep the bad possibilities from seeping into his mind, he wobbly rose back to his feet with the help of his sword.
"Baku? Hello!?" The house remained quiet. He stumbled to the kitchen to notice no one was there either. He eventually managed to make it to Baku's room to find it locked. "Baku," he pleaded while tinkering with the doorknob. Beginning to feel a wave of panic, he busted down the door while tumbling to the floor again.
He pulled himself to his knees when catching a glimpse of the trashed room, pillow stuffing thrown everywhere, torn drapes, some ripped cloth with blood blotted on it. "Baku!" He dashed over to the other side of the bed to find his naked, trembling fiancee. Zero lifted Baku's backside up, ripping off his shirt to soak up the blood pouring from her side. He tried to comfort her with reassuring words while hoisting her up and laying her on the shredded bed.
"Z-Zero...?" She whimpered as he threw a shirt over her.
"Don't worry Baku, I'm here, you're okay." She began to cry while trying to sit up and hug him.
"Z-Zero, I was so worried you were dead and..." Zero laid her back against the bed and hushed her.
"It's alright, I'm not leaving again." She opened her eyes happily.
"I'm so happy to hear that... I love you so much Zero..."
"I love you too..." He said while tucking a short strand of hair behind her ear as she closed her eyes again. "But please, who did this to you??" Zero stood there and waited for an answer he didn't receive. "Baku??? Honey, please don't fall asleep-" He went to wipe some blood off her forehead when he recoiled from the heat. "Baku, you're burning up. Stay here," He told her and ran off to the kitchen to get some medicine.
Zero came back but couldn't get her to take the medicine as her breaths continued to become shallow and sharp.
Zero ended up not being able to save his own lover from death.
