Bakunetsumaru leaned against a wall in an alley with dull and empty eyes. He took deep breaths, but he still seemed to be on the verge of passing out. Blood spilled down the left side of his neck and shoulder and dripped onto the concrete.

" Zero, I found him!" Kane called while spotting Baku in the alleyway. Zero and Kane flew down.

" Baku--" Zero gasped when he saw Baku. " Oh my god!!!"

Baku blankly stared at Zero as his knees buckled underneath him. Zero ran up to Baku and caught him before he fell onto the ground. Zero put a hand on Baku's face, then quickly pulled it away.

" H-he's burning up!!" Zero said in panic. Baku closed his eyes as he took in raged breaths. Zero held Baku tightly.

" Let's get him back to the hotel, quickly." Zero nodded, then lifted Baku up into his arms.

` Oh mana…please be alright….'

Zero tenderly dabbed a cold washcloth on Baku's face as he lied on one of the beds. He had already dressed the musha's wounds, but they seemed to keep bleeding. " It's not helping…" Zero looked up at Kane. " Please tell me that you know what's wrong with him.."

" I do," Kane replied, " But you won't like it." Zero looked down at Baku.

" …He met one of the masters, didn't he?" Kane sighed. " It's far worse than that. He was `taken' by one as well…" Zero blinked.

" Taken?"

" Yes. The master took control of his mind and body…" Zero's eyes widened in horror.

" N-no…I-I-it can't be!!!" Zero took one of Baku's hands and shook it lightly. " Bakunetsumaru, wake up! Please…" Kane put a hand on Zero's shoulder.

" It's no use. He won't wake up until the master calls for him." Kane glanced at Baku. " When he does, we should follow Bakunetsumaru and get the master to undo what he has done." Zero nodded, not taking his eyes off of Bakunetsumaru.

` This is all my fault…' Zero thought. ` All my fault…' He put Baku's hand up to his forehead as tears started to slide down his cheeks. ` My fault…my darling…'

Bakunetsumaru's eyes shot open, but were still as empty as before. He slowly rose from his bed, and silently slid out of bed and walked out of the door.

He walked out of the hotel as quietly as a mouse, and walked in the streets. He went up a few blocks in the night, then down into an alleyway. He went down some steps and opened the door to the red-bricked building and went in.

He went down a flight of stairs, and was standing in a cozy Victorian style living room with a fire burning to create a soft light.

Darlin smiled at Baku as he sat in a chair next to the fire. He raised a hand up to Baku and said, " Take the bandages off." Baku complied. When he dropped the blood soaked rags, there was a six-starred mark on his neck.

" Now come." Baku took a step forward.

" Fiend, how DARE you!!!" Zero slashed his sword down at Darlin from overhead, but Darlin jumped out of his chair as Zero's sword cut through the lining.

" Who are you?!" Darlin demanded, " And how did you get in here??"

" The question is," Kane said from next to the fireplace, " What are you doing with Bakunetsumaru?" Darlin glanced from one vampire to the other.

" Ah, vampires…why would this mortal be of any significance to you? If you want to drink from his blood…" Zero made a threatening motion, but Kane looked at the Winged knight. Zero stopped.

" No. He is with us." Darlin sighed.

" A pity…because he is now mine."

" He is NOT!!" Zero shouted. " Bakunetsumaru will never belong to you…" Darlin laughed.

" Oh really? Well, he obeys me now…just watch…" He turned to the zombie like samurai. " Bakunetsumaru, come." Bakunetsumaru started to walk slowly towards Darlin. The master grinned evilly.

" Bakunetsumaru!"

" Baku!?" Zero ran up and cut off the musha's path to Darlin. " Baku, please wake up!!"

"Get rid of him!" Darlin snapped. Kane drew out his sword and pointed it threateningly at Darlin. " Take back that Order!"

" Never!"

Bakunetsumaru drew out his swords, then attacked Zero. Zero blocked. " Baku!!" Bakunetsumaru jumped back, then swung a sword at Zero. Zero blocked it, but not the other one as it pierced his thigh. Zero cringed. Baku punched Zero to the ground, and looked at Darlin. Darlin smiled, despite the fact that Kane was about to decapitate him.

" Bakunetsumaru, snap out of it now!" Kane yelled. Bakunetsumaru started to advance towards the two of them.

" Make him stop or else I'll slice your head off!!!"

" You wouldn't do that, or he'll have his mind crushed!" Kane knew this was true. If you killed a master when they had control over a fresh body, you'd do more than kill the victim as well.

Zero clutched at his blood-covered side and looked up. Tears started to stream out of his eyes seeing Baku like this. Being controlled.

" Baku STOP!!!"

Bakunetsumaru suddenly stopped, surprising everyone. Darlin and Kane looked at Zero in shock.

" Oh no…"

" What?! The mortal is your bitch?!" Darlin growled. Zero glared at Darlin. " No! Bakunetsumaru is not my bitch! He is my friend and my lover! He means more to me than anything…" He looked at the immobile samurai.

" Whatever, he's still tainted! Bakunetsumaru come!!!"

" NO!"

" Obey ME!"

" Baku, please don't!!!" Bakunetsumaru's eyes widened as he did not know who to obey.

" Shut up---Baku!!"

" No! Slave, get rid of these pests!!"

" BAKU!"

Baku held his head as the voices started to hurt his head. It felt like it was tearing his brain apart.

" Baku!?" Zero ran up to Bakunetsumaru and held him. " Baku, what's wrong my firefly??"

" It….hurts…." Baku said shakily.

" Bakunetsumaru, KILL HIM!!" Kane glared at Darlin, then pierced his left arm. " Shut up already!"

" BAKUNETSUMARU…" Kane held his sword to the master's throat. " Utter one more word and off goes your head," he growled. " As you can see, Zero is capable of getting him out of your spell, so we may not need you alive…" Darlin glared up at Kane, but said nothing more.

Zero held Baku. " It's okay…I'm here now…" Zero whispered, " I love you."

Baku's eyes suddenly changed back to normal. He blinked, then looked up at Zero questionably.

" Hu….wa-where??" He looked around. " The hell are we??" Zero blinked.

" Baku???"

" Duh." Zero hugged Baku tightly. " Bakunetsumaru--!" Zero sobbed. Baku stared off at Kane in confusion.

" What--" Kane merely shrugged. The musha then spotted Darlin. Baku's eyes narrowed.

" YOU!" he yelled. " You pervert!!" Zero froze.

" What?"

" Darlin groped me when we were taking a walk!!" Zero's left eye twitched. He let go of Baku and glared at Darlin.

" Not ONLY did you have the nerve to try and make him your slave….but you also tried to grope MY Baku?!?!??"

Darlin sweatdroped. " Well, I didn't go that---"

" No one touched him but ME!" Zero started to crack his knuckles while Baku giggled quietly to himself from behind the knight.

Kane blinked. ` My god, he's jumped to the third mark…' he thought. ` Well, at least we'll have nothing to worry about if Zero beats up a master…I think…'

" So you don't remember a thing?" Zero asked.

" For the last time, no!" Baku said as they sat on one of the beds back at the hotel. Captain, Shute and Kane were at the tournament sign up looking at a few things. " Was I supposed to remember??" Zero shook his head.

" No…" He then hugged Baku. " My darling. Innocent, angel…" Zero whispered, " How I love you so…" Baku giggled.

" So, is your injury doing better?" Baku asked. Zero nodded. " Yes, It's basically healed."

" Good. Boy, how did you get it anyway?" Zero sweatdroped.

" I uh….fell." Baku facefaulted into a pillow.

" Um, Zero?"

" Yes?"

" I'm sorry for overreacting about the damsel in distress comment…" He sighed, " I guess that you were right about that…I mean, you had to save me from Darlin…or…whatever…" Baku didn't remember that Darlin had him under his control.

" No. I was wrong!" Zero said sternly while looking Baku in the eyes. " I was totally wrong for saying that, and I don't deserve your forgiveness!" Baku blinked, then laughed.

" Zero, you're weird!" He then cuddled up against the knight.

" But--"

" Shhh," Baku put a finger to Zero's mouth. " I forgive you whether you like it or not." He kissed Zero on the cheek. " Because I love you."

Zero sat there in a daze for a moment as tears threatened to form in his eyes. He grabbed Baku and held him tightly. " I love you so much!!" Baku sighed in content.

" Say…since we're all alone…why don't we-ya know---have some fun?" Baku said seductively while running a hand up Zero's arm.

" But are you…I mean, you were injured badly…" Baku put a hand up to his neck, where Zero had put another bandage on because it was still bleeding.

" I'm better now," Baku said.

" Are you su--" Zero was cut off as Baku planted a kiss. Zero closed his eyes and returned the kiss passionately. Zero then threw Baku under him playfully, then started to kiss his neck. Baku chuckled.

" Haha! Hey-stop!" Baku giggled. " You're tickling me!" Zero chuckled, while continuing down Baku's neck. He stopped at the bandage. He could smell the sweet metallic and battery acid fluid under it. He reached a hand to take it off, but then shook his head and recoiled it.

" Something wrong?" Baku asked. Zero looked away from the injury. " N-no. Nothing…" Baku sat up and kissed Zero.

" If you're sure…"

" I'm sure." Baku started trailing kisses down Zero's chest, Zero pulled Baku back up and kissed him deeply while wrapping his arms around the musha.

" Mmm…Zero…!" Baku gasped softly as one of Zero's hands went up between Baku's legs. Zero kissed down Baku's cheek and down his neck. Without thinking, he bit the bandage off and kissed the gash.

Zero quickly pulled away and sat up. " Why'd you stop…?" Baku asked. " I like it.." Zero shook his head.

" I…I can't do that to you…" Zero said. " I…might get carried away…" He looked down. Baku tilted the knight's head up.

" No you won't," Baku said. " Because you love me too much to do that…" Baku then added, " Besides, I bet you're getting kinda thirsty."

" Baku…I can't ask you to do this."

" You're not asking me to," Baku corrected. " I'm telling you to."

" But--"

" Zero, please…" Baku wrapped his arms around the knight's neck. " You need to, don't you?" Zero wanted to say that he didn't, but he could never lie to Baku. He nodded. " Then do it. Nothing will happen…. I trust you."

" With your life?"

" Yes," Baku breathed. " I've always trusted you with my life…" Zero couldn't find any more excuses. Sighing, he pushed Baku down on the bed, and kissed Baku's wound. He bit into it, making more blood come out.

Baku clutched to Zero's cape as he bit into him and gave a slight gasp. Zero lifted his head. " No-don't stop…just go…" Zero reluctantly bent his head back down, and started to suck on Baku's blood.

Zero started to feel Baku's heart and gun soul pound through his veins, making the blood rush faster. Zero sucked harder and lapped up more blood.

Baku moaned while tilting his head so Zero could suck on his blood better. Zero gripped at the samurai's sides while he bit in more. " Zero…!!" Baku gasped while tightening his grip on Zero's cape. Zero's head shot up and he panted as blood dripped down his mouth plate. Baku relaxed and panted as well.

" Thank you…" Zero said in between gasps.

" Yeah…no problem…." Baku said. " Can we do it again…?" Zero laughed.

" No, I'm done…" He grabbed the bandage and put it back on Baku's cut.

" So, does this mean I'm gonna be a vampire too?" Baku asked. Zero rolled his eyes.

" Silly musha. No." Baku pouted. " Man, and I wanted to suck your blood!" Zero sighed, " No you don't…" He then yawned.

" What's this? Zero tired?? We haven't even had sex yet and he's tired?!" Baku gasped. " ….It's the end of the world, isn't it?" Zero slapped Baku upside the head playfully.

" You moron, it's not the end of the world," he said. " I've just been drained from today's events…"

" Yeah, same here." Baku then yawned. " Ah, damn you. You made me yawn!" Zero cuddled next to Baku.

" I'm sorry my love…" He kissed Baku's neck from behind. Baku held Zero's hands as the knight's arms were wrapped around his middle.

" `S okay…let's go to sleep…." Zero nodded. " Yes…let's…" They both then drifted off to sleep in each other's company. But little did they know that someone was watching them from the top of a nearby building…
