Zero stood where other challengers were outside the tournament grounds. There was less here than there was last time…guess not everyone has a I-can-do-almost-anything guy on their team.

" Alright! This is gonna be a pretty tricky part of this, but basically all you need to know is….try not to lose your mind. Kay people?" Zero found no comfort in that. He looked far of to his right and saw his team a ways from the participants. Baku waved at Zero, and blew him a kiss, but then Kane hit the samurai over the head and more than likely told him to knock it off. Zero chuckled to himself.

Zero snapped his fingers, then looked back at Baku. Baku suddenly had a dozen red and white roses in his hands. The musha blushed while Zero winked at him. (A/N: awww, the flirt. :p)

" Alright, everyone get ready to go into the cave of Menti frantumate!" Zero had no idea if that was another language or not. It probably didn't matter like with the springs.

Zero walked a ways into the cave and was able to see clearly into the cave, unlike the others. ` Well, I just have to get to the other side at sundown and I'm done,' Zero thought. ` How hard can that be?' He walked for what seemed like an hour before he crossed a small pool in the cave. It looked so dark and mysterious in this cave. He peered about to see if there was a way around it, then spotted something near the pool. Curious, he walked closer to it.

'Cause I hit a fork in the road
I lost my way home
I'm cut off from our main line
Like a disconnected modem.

" Baku…?" Bakunetsumaru looked up. Zero blinked.

" But…aren't you supposed to be outside? I told you I'd do this!" Baku stood up.

Baku went up to Zero and put his hands on the knight's waist. He kissed Zero passionately, then looked back at Zero. Zero rolled his eyes, then dipped the musha and kissed him ravenously. The two moaned softly in the kiss, then Zero straitened the two up.

" Wait….how did you get this far? It's impossible for you to see in the dark." Baku just smiled….but it seemed empty.

Baku Jumped over some rocks, and jogged away from the pool.

" Baku, wait! We shouldn't get off the track!" Zero went and followed him.

Baku continued to go up a slanted, rocky path until they reached the top.

" Alright, what is it?" Zero crossed his arms impatiently. Baku just smiled cutely at the knight. His eyes suddenly darkened. Baku drew out a knife, and placed it under his chin.

Zero gasped as Baku held a knife to his own throat. " Baku, put that down!!" Zero cried.

" No." Zero stared at the musha in fear. " Baku…what the hell are you doing!?"

" I'm gonna kill myself…"

" WHY?!" Zero took a step forward, but then quickly recoiled after Baku pressed the knife closer to his neck. " Baku, w-whatever it is…it's going to be okay…"

" No it's not," Baku said too mater of fact.

" WHY not!? Tell me, please!!" Zero could feel the panic welling up inside of him.

" I'm tired, Zero…and we're not going to be able to win our son back…" Zero shook his head. " That's not true!! If we give up now, then he is lost! We can't give up, darling…" They stared at each other for a moment. " Put the knife down, Bakunetsumaru…" Baku scuffed.

" Is it just as true as the fact that you love me?!" Baku emphasized love bitterly.

" Baku…I do love you…" Baku snorted. " If you did love me, then you wouldn't have made me have sex with you!"

" I never forced you to have anything you didn't want to!!" Zero snapped.

" Well what was I supposed to do!? You scare me, Zero!!!" Zero's eyes widened.

" W-what…? I…I scare you?" Baku looked down.

" You're not the same Zero I once knew…You changed; you became a dark creature…it scares me…"
Zero felt like a sword was plunged into his heart.

" I….I never meant to…" Zero stepped closer, ignoring the knife's presence now. " I'm so sorry I scared you..."

" S-stay back!" Baku said shakily. Zero stopped, then knelt in front of Baku.

" I'm sorry…I didn't mean to cause you any pain…" Zero said, feeling that sword twist in his heart.

" Well, you did." Zero looked up at the musha. " Baku, it wasn't my fault! I-I didn't want to be like this!" He stood up. " I wanted to be normal!" Baku made the knife cut his throat slightly, making blood trickle. " Why are you doing this?! WHY!?"

" I said it before…I'm tired….and I am going to join the real Zero…"

" I AM the real Zero!!….Please…"

" BAKU!!" Zero reached his hand out, but it only touched the air. He recoiled it after noting that nothing was there. He looked at his hand, then at the spot where he saw Baku. " What…?"

He looked around, then slowly went back down to the pool. " Was that…not real?" he asked himself. He touched his mouth lightly. " The kiss seemed real….as did touching him…" He blinked. He shook his head while muttering, " I must be losing my mind…"

" You more than likely are."

Zero spun around and looked at Kane. " Then again, you never had a mind to begin with, did you?"

" Shut up!" Zero blinked. " Kane…? Okay, what's going on here?!" Kane shrugged.

" You're in the cave."

" I know THAT!" Zero growled. " What are YOU doing HERE?"

I don't have the password

" Standing." Zero facefaulted. " YOU'RE NO HELP!!"

" Or am I?"

" Huh?"

" Hmm?"

" What means the fool, trow?!" Kane yawned boredly. " Nothing I. Just, you know…"

" No, I don't know!" Zero crossed his arms. " You're making little sense!!"

" Ah, that beholds to thee methinks."

" WHAT?" Zero's eyes started to swirl. " You're confusing meee…" He blinked, snapping out of it, but didn't see Kane. " Kane??"

" …Behind you." Zero didn't have the chance to look behind him as Kane punched the knight. Zero staggered while holding the side of his head. " Damnit, Kane! What the hell are you doing?!" Kane just smiled. But it wasn't his usual smile, it was demonic.

" Nothing…" He then jumped on top of Zero and wrapped his hands around his neck. ` Nothing my ass!' Zero thought while trying to pry the black knight's hands off.

" Kane…stop…!" Zero gasped. Kane tightened his grip. " What's the matter?" Kane snickered.
