Baku ran hurriedly through the thicket of dead and dying trees towards the cave in hopes of finding some sort of answer to help his lover, Zero. He finally reached the mouth of the cave and stopped.

“ Okay….I'm going in to see how this thing works and hopefully there's something among the insanity that'll cure Zero of his insanity…” Baku muttered to himself. He sighed then straitened up then started to march into the cave bravely.

 

 

Meanwhile at the hotel room, Kane lounged in a cushiony chair while reading a thick novel, adjusting his glasses every now and then. (A/N: Hehehehe. ^.^) He glanced over to the balcony, where Zero was standing on, gazing out into nothing. Kane was worried about his friend, since this was a painful transformation from a caring gentleman, to a ruthless assassin. He was curious to find out what had happened in the cave to trigger such a change, but Zero's mind was blocked off from the black knight's mind probing abilities surprisingly.

Captain sat beside Kane, obviously as curious as he was about the new Zero. He glanced over at Kane.

“ What should we do?”

“ There's nothing we can do but wait and watch,” Kane replied with a sigh. “ I can't penetrate his thoughts at all…” Captain looked a little more worried. “ I know, I know... From his experience he must have suddenly drawn on some unknown power source from either deep inside him or….” Kane paused. “ Something else…”

“ What would that be?”

“ Knowing this dimension it could be anything…” He put his book down and put his glasses in a case next to them on the little table. “ …Hopefully it isn't the latter of the two suggestions, or else we could be dealing with something dangerous if it could do this to Zero.” Captain nodded in agreement. Kane leaned back in his chair. “ Where did Shute go?”

“ He said he wanted to go shopping…”

“ For what?”

“ That's my question -.-; “

Shute walked briskly through the streets of the city, looking at the windows of various shops and buildings. But that wasn't the real reason why he was out here among all these creatures. He kept walking until he came near the battle dome where most of the competitions would be held, about a block away. He pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and looked at the street address. He was in front of a dingy old building that's roof was gone.

“ This so can't be the place,” he thought out loud as he glanced over the eroded and dull bricks that held it together. He looked over the address to make sure then sighed. “ Ok…let's go…” he went up to the splintered door and knocked on it.

“ Password,” a deep voice from the other side demanded. “ Tenshi,” Shute muttered. The door opened up and Shute cautiously walked in.

“ Why are we meeting in this place?” Shute asked as the door closed behind him.

“ Because child, this is the last place Kibaomaru and his followers would suspect I would be, if anywhere in the city at all.” The voice belonged to none other than Ark's Diashogun. The…Diashogun (A/N: O.o He needs a name…lol)

“ Why didn't you want any of the others to come here?” Shute asked while going over to a dust filled couch and sat on it, coughing as the dust erupted from the old fabric.

“ Because Kane, I do not trust since there is a slight possibility that he might still be controlled by Kibaomaru and Kikumon. Zero is not himself and Baku is too distraught from his own mission at the moment,” he answered simply. “ That, and Captain needs to help Kane keep an eye on Zero….”

“ Do you know what happened to him?” The Diashogun nodded. “ Yes, but that is not my place to explain at the moment. Right now we must focus on the mission that is at hand; Rescue the Demi-God.” Shute's eyes widened slightly.

“ You mean…”

“ Yes, Litho.” Shute sat there perplexed as the dust filtered through the light that came from the various holes that were in the floor above them. “ How…?”

“ I shall explain the story of Litho,” the Musha Lord interjected politely.

 

**********The Musha Demi-God**********

 

Many years ago, before Diashoguns or emperors ruled in Ark, there were the Gods. No one knows for sure how their form appeared to mortals, but we knew what they were…

There was the God of Disorder and Darkness. He was the most foul of them all. He could raise the dead and toy with mortal lives and their agony for entertainment. His name was Talamaru.

Enikli was a neutral god of the weather and storms. He was neither good nor evil and worked alone when he could. He was somewhat like Kane is today if you think about it.

Heramas was of the goddess of fertility and the earth. She was a kind heart and soul, but a little naive at times. She was in love with Enikli.

There were more gods, but I want to focus on those three for a purpose. Now, Enikli and Heramas became betrothed to one another and had a son. He was to become the God of Fire and life. Now Talamaru did not like the idea because then he would have a rival; a powerful rival at that. So Talamaru formulated a plan.

The Gods themselves cannot be destroyed by any means, though Talamaru had something almost as well in mind. He captured almost all the lesser gods and drained them of their power to enhance his own and went to do battle with the other gods of his own status.

The first god to go down was Enikli. He knew that Talamaru was after his son and would not let him get to him before he was developed enough to defend himself, since he was still a baby. He was slain as Heramas fled with the baby. But Talamaru knew they were going to try and pull this and met up with Heramas. The Goddess put a powerful spell on her son before she too was slain. She knew that the baby was doomed if she had not created the first means of reincarnation for him. The other gods live on in spirit, but the Fire God was to be brought back into a physical form after gaining enough strength.

Unfortunately, it would never be enough to restore him into a complete god. The God of Fire and Life is Litho.

However…the Dark God still lives on…..

 

….in the form of Kibaomaru…..
