Zero landed on the soft, wet ground as it rained outside. He ran under a pin tree to shelter himself from the drizzle. He sat down and held his face in his hands. ` Bakunetsumaru…Captain….Shute….everyone must hate me beyond words now!' Zero thought. ` I can't help it…I have to do this…' He drew his knees up to his chest and wrapped his arms around his legs. ` What shall I do now? There is no way to make them forget what they have learned today…' He closed his eyes tightly.

" ….Bakunetsumaru…" Zero whispered into the rain. He remembered a while back when Baku came outside when it was raining and was like Zero was now; feeling down and ashamed of himself.

But Bakunetsumaru wouldn't follow him like he did Baku. " Bakunetsumaru…"

Zero looked around in the dark, be wild. " W-where am I?!"

" Calm yourself, Zero…." Zero's head snapped up. " Who's there?! Show yourself!!" Zero took a step backwards.

" Do not be afraid, knight. I am here to help you…" Zero blinked.

" Help me? With WHAT?"

" Your…. situation…" Zero crossed his arms and scuffed. " You mean the undisputed fact that I'm god damn DEAD?!"

" Yes, exactly." Zero sweatdroped. " Yeah, whatever high and mighty voice!" Zero was very agitated right now. What could this guy do? Bring him back to life?

" You wish for life, I may grant it to you." Zero froze. " Pardon??"

" You may go back to the world of the living, Zero. We know it isn't your time yet…" Zero tilted his head.

" WE? Who the hell is WE? The queen of England?!" Zero had no idea how he knew about that, but it just came out of his sassy dead mouth. (A/N: ^^; Well, you know what they say; ppl change after death!…I think? O.o)

" Touché."

" Oh, what means the fool, trow?" Zero tried to see where the voice was coming from, but couldn't see anything but pitch black around him.

" Nothing I, but God send everyone their heart's desire." Zero stiffened. " I am talking about your beloved Bakunetsumaru…." Zero blushed.

" You…you can make it so that…we're together again….?" Zero asked hopefully.

" Yes, but there is a price to pay for all of this…"

" Name it! Anything to be with Baku!"

Zero sighed. The next thing he remembered was waking up in a coffin full of….

He winched at the thought. Whoever did that had a sick mind, and an even sicker ambition to get Zero unwillingly hooked onto the substance; blood.

Yes, a vampire by not will, but by force. He looked at his hands solemnly. He found out about a way for him to be basically normal again…well, he wouldn't be a vampire but something else. He heard someone say that if you kill three women by descending age, a business broker, a wife, and a girl, then take one of them and do this weird ritual…he could stop lusting for blood.

He didn't have fangs like a normal vampire would. So what kind was he? Well, he was somewhat of a psi-blood. That meant that he drew the energy from the blood without needing to bite their necks and all that other stuff. True, he still needed to kill them and basically drain them of their blood…but at least he didn't have to worry about having any flesh in his teeth since he had none.

He hated this, and wondered how he and Drain met up again…oh, yes. He almost forgot…

Zero was walking out of his dark chamber to go out in the sun, but as soon as he cracked the door open just a little bit, it started to burn his eyes and he shut it quickly.

" Hurts, doesn't it?" Zero spun around. " W-who are you?!"

" Can't you recognize my voice, Master Zero?" Zero froze. " …Drain?" Zero took a step back in shock.

" But…how!? You…you died…." Drain nodded. " It's true, I did die. But our master revived you and I."

" OUR master??"

" Yes."

" I serve no one but the princess." Drain laughed harshly. Zero glared at him. " I am sorry, Sir Zero, but right now, we have no say as to who we obey…he can make us do whatever he wishes…"

" Who is he?"

" I'm not sure. But he does want us for something…" Zero slumped back against the door.

" So…it's true, isn't it? We were both…dead…." Zero looked down at his hands. " Yes, I am afraid it is all true…But we must go now." Zero looked up.

" Why?"

" We have to feed, or we will parish."

" F-feed…?"

" Yes, I shall explain more along the way, Milord."

Zero didn't care much for that night in the least…but what was he supposed to do? He came back because he wanted Baku…

But he never imagined this of all things to happen…

Zero curled up into a ball and cried as the rain fell heavy onto the ground like his sorrow fell upon him.

" I'm so sorry, Bakunetsumaru…I-I didn't mean to be like this-!"

I just love to make them so upset!!! ^^ Eh, guess it goes with the being 98.7% Eeeeeeeviiiillll…..mauahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa!!! X_X And no, Baku's illness isn't completely gone. It's still there….waiting for the right moment….mauahahahaha. Chow ya'll! ^^
