Zero crept into his room quietly after returning to base. He was tired, and needed some sleep. He scuttled to his bed, then lied down in the dark. He yawned while rolling over onto his side, and felt something.

Zero eyes snapped open more awake. He started to grope around to see what was there.

" Zero, knock it off! I'm too tired to do that…" came Baku's voice from under the covers.

" Baku? What the hell are you doing in my room?" Baku sat on his elbows. " Waiting for you…I got worried." Zero felt pretty bad about leaving Baku almost every night like that. " I'm sorry." Baku muttered an uh-huh, and cuddled next to Zero. Zero held Baku close and protectively.

" I love you," Zero whispered. Baku yawned. " I wuv you chu…" he muttered sleepily. Zero smiled. He kissed the musha on the head, then closed his eyes with a sigh.

Bakunetsumaru felt a stabbing headache as the morning came. He couldn't' see any light since Zero had thick curtains to keep the sun out, but he could somehow feel it was there.

" God…feels like I'm on a hangover…" he muttered while putting a hand on his head. He felt somewhat dizzy, even though he wasn't sitting up. He closed his eyes and took in a breath, but that seemed to upset something in his stomach. It didn't hurt like when you got a cramp or felt sick…it just hurt like something was in there.

Baku suddenly bolted upright and clutched his stomach in pain. It felt like something like a prickly fireball was churning inside of him, trying to get out badly. It started to surge through his body, making him whimper and gasp.

" Baku?!" Zero woke up and saw the musha holding his arms tightly as he breathed raggedly. Baku gave a small yelp as he bent over. " Bakunetsumaru!!"

Zero placed his hands on Baku's shoulders and the samurai leaned against Zero, grabbing onto the knight's arms.

" It…h-hur…" Baku panted, but couldn't finish since a new wave of pain erupted through him.

" Baku?!!" Zero worriedly held Baku as the musha tightly clung to him. " What's wrong??"

Baku tried to reply, but the pain got so intense, that he suddenly felt numb all over. He loosened his grip, and suddenly forgot how to breathe.

Then blacked out as Zero started screaming his name.

Zero paced around on a large balcony of some castle far from the base, looking very tense and upset.

" What is the problem this time?" Kane said while flying down from the sky. Zero took a deep breath to calm himself, and stopped pacing.

" It's Baku…something happened to him….I…" Zero shook his head. " I don't know what though."

" Is he alright?" Kane landed next to Zero. " I…I guess…he just passed out after he…" Zero stopped.

" Zero, what is it?"

" …He stopped breathing…" Zero leaned against the balcony railing. " …How did he stop breathing?" he suddenly asked out loud. Kane stared at Zero blankly as the blue Gundam continued to rant about Baku. (A/N: Aww, ain't that cute?)

" Zero…"

" ---And what if it happens again?! What am I going to do?"

" Zero..."

" I don't know what's going on anymore! Wa-t, what if he suffocates himself to death!?"

" ZERO…"

" Or maybe--"

" ZERO!!"

" What?" Zero snapped. " Calm yourself down!" Zero sighed. " So what specifically happened?"

" I don't know…he woke up gasping for breath…then passed out."

" Descriptive…"

" Hey, shut up!" Kane blinked. Zero put his head in his hands and heaved a heavy sigh.

" Zero, you're acting as though Bakunetsumaru went into labor or soemthi--" Kane was cut off when Zero held his sword to his comrade's throat.

" I told you to shut up," Zero growled venomously. Kane stood there perplexed at Zero's hostility. He said nothing as Zero held the sword threateningly. Zero finally lowered his sword.

" I'm sorry Kane…" Zero apologized. " I'm just…upset…" Kane said nothing, but nodded slightly.

" I will leave now," Kane said, then walked inside to leave Zero alone. Zero leaned back onto the railing, hoping Baku has woken up by now.

" Zero…."

Zero twitched at the voice that rung through his head. " What?" he snapped.

" That's no way to talk to me, you useless bitch. Come to me now."

Zero groaned, wondering what kind of tormenting plot she has for him tonight.

*

" Alright," Zero pushed through the doors hastily and strutted over to Kikumon, who was sitting on her bed. " What do you want with me now? Hang me? Make me bleed until my blood fills a gallon bucket? Or are you just going to threaten me until I die of exasperation rather than a cross or a stake!?" (A/N: O.o Woah, he really is upset!)

Kikumon glared at him. " Actually, I'm not doing anything today…" She smirked evilly. " Kibaomaru is…" Zero stiffened like a board.

" W-what?!"

" Yes, he wants to….meet with you, my little toy…" Zero swallowed hard. He never seen the dark ruler of Ark, but from what he's heard, this was basically being sent to his grave…

Wait, he's already dead. Damn, that's probably worse then.

Baku lied sound asleep in his bed as Captain and Guneagle sat there, waiting for him to wake up.

" So what happened?" Guneagle asked.

" Zero said that he suddenly woke up, saying that he was in pain, then passed out," Captain said sadly. Guneagle looked over at Baku. " Well, he seems fine now…"

" He always seems fine after having some of his little `attacks' or sick periods…"

" Yeah. I feel sorry for him…" Captain nodded.

`

" Is he okay…?" The two turned to the door to see Zero stagger in. His arms had an assortment of lashed marks on them, and his neck and torso were somewhat bleeding while the rest of his body was bruised and dented.

" What the fucking hell happened?!" Guneagle gasped.

" Never mind that; how is he?"

" He's fine. He's just sleeping," Captain said while walking over to the knight. " Now you better get repairs done."

" But--" Captain narrowed his eyes darkly, making both Guneagle and Zero sweatdrop nervously. " Er…I'll be glad to…go…" Captain then smiled. " Good!"

` …Sometimes I wonder if Captain has a personality complex…' Zero thought to himself. Captain guided Zero out of the room, but Zero glanced back to take one last look at his sleeping beauty.

Baku rubbed his eyes as he was trying to focus his eyes to the sudden glaring light. He blinked as he scanned the area around him. " Where…am I…?" He appeared to be in what looked like a jungle. He walked over a few fallen tree stumps, and almost slipped on some wet moss and grass. He then spotted something bright coming towards him. He froze as it came closer.

It was half his height, and was glowing, whatever it was. It stopped a few feet away from him. Baku relaxed slightly, feeling no danger form it. " Who are you?" he asked.

It did not say anything. It came closer, then reached a hand out to Baku's chest. It placed it there, then looked up at him. Baku blinked in confusion before it let its hand down. It started to walk away.

" Hey-wait!!"

*

" -Wait!!" Baku sat up from his bed, reaching out to the air in front of him. " …up…" He lowered his arm, realizing it was just a dream. He sighed while lying back down.

He put a hand to his chest. Strange, he didn't feel scared or anything when it touched him….it was like he knew that strange force from somewhere….
