It's been a few years since he claimed the throne of Shaman King. He remembered
seeing his evil twin succumb and fall. That moment, it was over. yoh and his friends
knew they had finally claimed victory. He remembered everything.

and anna. how she had been with him throughout the years.how she had fixed trainings
that even though torturous, brought him to where he is now.

how she scolded him for being lazy. how she pushed him. how she managed to retain
her feelings just so that he could be strong. how she made him nice suits to wear
to the battles so that he wouldnt look shabby as the ''shaman king''. how she held on
to her faith in him, knowing he'll never fail.

oh how she had sacrificed.

they were still living in the same house, and spent time with the same friends. manta
still came over often.. as well as the rest. horo-horo and pirika, ren, ryu..

and anna. still the same cold and distant girl everyone knew.still bossing him and manta
around, doing household chores.

but yoh didnt mind.it was this kind of routine work that kept him happy.he wasnt too keen
on anything or anyone changing. he liked it this way. anna his silent but ever-adorable
fiancee.

anna was his gem. and he damn knew it. he wanted her for his life.

It was a fine morning. Yoh had made breakfast that day.. it was to anna's liking. he wanted
his fiancee to have good breakfasts everyday they were gonna live.

"Anna.." Yoh called out to her meekly from in front of her room.

"What?" she opened the door.. her hair in a mess and eyes still sleepy. oh god,thought yoh.
she looks like an angel even if she hasn't had her bath. he gazed for a moment at his fiancee
until she cut him out of his thoughts.

"I suppose breakfast is ready?" she demanded.

"Of course Anna.. my wife should wake up everyday having her breakfast fixed for her," Yoh smiled at her.

Anna frowned at him, puzzled. "Idiot. I'll go have my bath then." She walked away from him.

Yoh stared at her back. "Anna.. if only you could know how much i want to give the best to you.."

"How's you and Anna?" Horo-horo asked while Yoh,him and Ren were sitting in the pool
just outside Yoh's home.

"Uh..fine,"Yoh answered.Well what was he to say? He and Anna had remained much the same
since long ago.Only now that he realised how much he needed her in his life.

"Have u both even bought stuff for each other?" ren asked out of the blue.

"Stuff..? Well i buy the groceries each time.." Yoh answered like a silly boy.

"Yoh..you hopeless thing. He meant, personal gifts. Like clothes and cards n such" horo-horo
laughed at his clueless friend's face.

"Well..no.. i didnt think that was what anna would want." Yoh gave his excuse.

"Yoh.. You know anna doesnt tell anyone what she would like to have, or how she is feeling.
But you both have been engaged for a long time now. Dont you think its time to make a
progress and take ur relationship further?" Horo-horo gave his lecture.

Ren shook his head.

They both seem to know how to handle relationships better than i am, despite being
unattached, Yoh thought. He was lost.

"Horo,Ren.. u know something.. Lately that's what i've been thinking. I wannt to take
my relationship with Anna further. But i just dont know what to do," the Shaman King
lamented. In these desperate times, he was glad he had his best buddies around.Especially
Horo who seemed to know how to treat girls.

"Has that point of time come when u realise you can't do without her?" Ren inquired, not looking
at Yoh.

"Yes.. She has sacrificed much for me. Now that I have accomplished my mission of becoming
Shaman King, i want to give her and easy life..like she has always reminded me,"

"Time for you to show your appreciation.. You don't have any battles to worry about now,
no Hao to defeat.. you've got so much of your youth now. treasure it with her." horo advised.

"and show her that she will still be your queen even when you're both old" ren added.

Thats right, I'll show her my appreciation, Yoh thought happily.

It was 12 midnight. Yoh could not retire for the night. Anna was on his mind.

He tossed and turned.

"Anna.." he sighed.

Visions of her clouded his mind. He thought of her face. That cold face, the cold stare..
yet he could find such warmth in it. He wondered if Anna would like it if he bought something
special for her as a personal gift.

He wondered if she'll give her legendary slap if he ever told her how he was feeling. He still
remembered her slapping him when he had told her she was cute.

"Well, I won't care if she wants to slap me. as long as she know i need her and love her.
She can slap me all she wants for the rest of our lives!" Yoh suddenly grinned to himself.He
was used to the slaps. It seemed the ordinary thing for her to do. And for Yoh, he liked things
to be the same. It gave him the sense of security and belonging when everything stayed the way it
had always been.

He decided he needed to see her so he got up and walked quietly to his fiancee's room. The door was
only slightly open, and Yoh peeked through to watch her in her peaceful sleep. Anna's back was facing
him. He tried not to make any noise, for he knew if Anna ever caught him peeping at her, he was so dead.

"Are you just gonna stand there and watch?" Anna suddenly asked him. yoh was surprised.

"Uh.. Yeah. I know you wont let me come in," Yoh hinted with a cheeky tone.

"Idiot. I am your fiancee. Just knock the next time you want to come in,"Anna said, her back still
facing him.

Yoh was speechless. Anna..? Inviting him to come in?

"Come in or go back to your room," Anna said with a hint of annoyance in her voice.

Yoh slowly walked into her room. Should he sit beside her? Why was she being nice? Yoh then made up
his mind to sit beside her while she lay on her bed. Since she allowed him in her room, there must
be something that she wanted from him.

"Yoh.. I've just had a bad dream," Anna turned to look at him.

"What was it Anna?" Yoh asked curiously.

"Hao. Hao came suddenly to our house and killed you." Anna confided. Anna..afraid of a bad dream?

"Anna my dear, it was just a dream. We've banished him remember.." Yoh comforted her with a smile.

"Idiot, i know that. But i dont want to lose you again. Ever," Anna said with a choking voice.

"Anna.." Yoh was surprised. He looked at his fiancee's face. it was one of the few times she had
an expression on her face. An expression of fear. "..you'll never lose me again anna. im shaman king,
and you're my shaman queen.. it's my duty to protect you and be there for you,"

Anna just gave a tiny smile. She was satisfied with his answer. She knew he'll never leave her side.

"Then stay with me here for the night. I dont want another dream," with that anna went to sleep.

Yoh smiled. I love you too anna.

"Would this do?" Yoh asked ren,manta and horo. They were at the jeweller's and yoh had decided
to buy a ring for anna.

"Kisama.Get a nicer one, " Ren reprimanded him.

"That one. That one."horo-horo said excitedly. finally his good friend was making a progress.
He had always wanted to see Yoh and Anna a loving couple. He knew that Yoh's engagement to her
was more than just a mere arrangement by his grandparents. He knew that the Asakuras didnt marry
for love, but for Yoh and Anna, they were lucky to be arranged together.

"When are you going to present it to her?" Ren asked. He too, was excited about his friend making
a move. He wished he could find a girl for himself. someone as strong as anna.

"Ah, whats the rush.. i'll just wait till the right time,"Yoh laughed silly.

"Kisama. give it to her soon." Ren said.

The boys walked around the town for awhile looking for gifts that yoh could present to anna. Yoh was
especially elated about the night before. He knew she loved him too and he wasn't going to waste a
moment in taking their relationship to the next step.

After spending half the day in town, the boys headed back to Yoh's home. He wanted to be in time to cook
dinner for Anna, and the rest of his friends. He knew Anna would be mighty angry if he were late.

"Pass that milk," ren said to horo-horo.
"Take it yourself, milk boy" horo teased his milk-loving friend.
"Kisama. I said pass it,"ren said angrily.
"Neh. you want to fight?" horo made faces at his friend.
"Kisama. you're pushing it!" ren retaliated in his usual bad temper.

Yoh looked on as his two friends bickered as usual. ren and horo had always bickered with each other,
but they were best friends. He looked on at his fiancee, calmly slurping her soup. Manta nudged him,
hinting to him that he should present the gifts to her that very night.

"Ah, guys.. let's have desser now shall we," Yoh broke the escalating fight between horo and ren over
the dinner table.

"fine, dessert then" ren said.

Yoh presented dessert. It was Anna's favourite dessert and he had took great care in preparing it.
Anna's face lighted up when he presented the dish to her. She went on to savour it with her grace.

"Yoh.." Anna said his name while they were watching tv. "..thank you for the nice dessert."

"anna.. i prepared it specially for you" Yoh smiled at her.

"Oh. you could have made it sweeter though," She blushed and looked back at the tv screen.
yoh smiled to himself. anna was blushing!

Horo and ren were playing cards in the living room where anna, yoh and manta were watching tv.
they overheard their little conversation and decided to make a move.

"Manta? Let's go outside into the pool," Horo said. The three guys left yoh and anna with some
privacy. "Finally Yoh is doing something" horo said.

"Kisama. he should have done it long ago" ren gave his opinion.

Back in the living room, yoh and anna sat in silence. anna was still blushing, yoh noticed.yoh
got up and went to his room to take the gifts he had bought earlier that day. This is it, he thought.
he was gonna make a move.

As he slowly trudged into the living room, he looked at anna. she was lying on her side, her eyes fixed
on the television. Sexy, he thougt slyly. He came near anna without a sound. he placed the gifts on the
floor quietly and placed his hands over hey eyes. anna retaliated with annoyance.

"idiot, what is this,"
"Anna relax. turn around"

Yoh presented her a square box wrapped in red. "What's this," anna said a bit surprised. she opened the box
and inside it, was a pretty red scarf.

"I thought you would like another red scarf.. i'm ssorry i can't find the same one that you always wear
around your neck,"yoh apologised.

"idiot, this is so much nicer than my old one." anna said coolly.

"Anna..stand up,"
"what for,"
"just stand up,please anna,"

Anna sighed and stand up. She wondered what her fiance was up to now.

As Anna stood up, Yoh suddenly got on his knees. "Yoh...!?" Anna asked, shocked.

"Anna..i've wanted to say this for so long."
"What is it,"
"Anna, i know that our marriage had been arranged since we were kids. we've been engaged for a very long time
now."
"So.. I know that,"
"And you know that my family, the Asakuras dont really marry for love. But to me, you're an angel from heaven
even though you're so fierce and im scared of you,"
"Aren't you scared i might slap you now?"
"I dont care. Remember our engagement ceremony? it was a simple one, and i wasnt too sure of what to do then. but
to make up for that, i want you to hear this.."
"Yoh.."
"..Anna Kyoyouma, will you marry me?" yoh said, presenting her the ring he had bought her.

Anna was shocked. Yoh had never expressed his love for her before. Had he really been that afraid of her?

"Idiot, i am already your wife.." anna finally said after overcoming her shock."...and i love you"

Yoh smiled as he slipped on the ring on her slender fingers. it looked brilliant on her."You like the ring anna?"

"Idiot," anna smiled, feeling elated. she couldnt say more. for once, she knew that yoh wanted her all his life.
and she wasn't going to deny that she wanted him for her life too. she wanted to be Asakura Anna, wife and
true love of the shaman king, Asakura Yoh. She knew they will have a nice life ahead together.

"Ahha.. What did i tell you Yoh? Finally you two are getting it!" Horo-horo suddenly interrupted the blissful
moment. Unknown to the Asakura couple, the three of them had been silently watching from the window.

Horo jumped into the living room, ever excited about what he just saw. "Yoh.. when are you getting married
to her?" he continued, teasing his friend.

Ren gave his smirk, happy that Yoh and anna had finally progressed. Manta smiled.

"Yoh? Yoh? When are you holding the wedding and having the babies?" Horo-horo teased again.

A loud slap echoed the house. Anna had just gave her legendary slap to Horo-horo to shut him up. "Idiot,"Anna said, annoyed
but still feeling elated.

Yoh smiled. Anna will still be Anna.Anna his love.Anna his wife. anna the torturer.
