Otherworldly Introductions
“YOH ASAKURA!!!! You have twenty seconds to explain to me all about how this is not what it looks like.” And those were the first words I ever heard my sister speak.

As Yoh started blabbering, trying to explain me and why I was here, I got a better look at Annabelle Rose Li Kyôyama, my long lost twin sister. She was beautiful in her own way. Her face was similar to mine, and the eyes were the same dark brown, almost black, but her hair was a dirty blonde color and straighter whereas mine was a rich dark brown color and full of waves. She wasn't filled out with a chest and hips like I was, but that didn't seem to matter much to her. She definitely dressed differently, to be sure, but of course she would. I had been directly influenced by the Hanagumi, and had adopted a spin off of their style as my own. She wore a simple black dress and a red bandana in her hair. Kino's prayer beads hung around her neck; I remembered the beads from my own training sessions, and I had a necklace just like it. Only my beads were back at Hao's campsite. I sadly thought of how I would never see any of my stuff again because I would never get up enough courage to go retrieve it.

“And just what do you think you're starring at, slut?!” An unforgiving voice snapped at me. I woke up from my daydreams to see my sister starring slightly downwards at me. I thought to myself, `Damn! We're twins, yet she still has half an inch or so on me!'

“I was just mentally comparing us.” I said truthfully.

“Ha! What is there to compare?!” She mocked me.

“Well: hair, eyes, clothes, chest size or lack of in your case.” I smiled brightly at her.

I had done it now; she was angry. I could tell we were going to have a “you tease me, I tease you” relationship. `Let's see how mad I can make her. This should be fun!'

“Why you little…OUT!!! NOW! And I never want to see you anywhere near my fiancée ever again!” Anna shrieked.

“But Anna!” Yoh intervened.

“But what?” Anna was positively seething.

Yoh swallowed hard, but continued to play advocate to my best interests. “She has to stay. She can't leave.”

“Is there a reason why she has to stay, Yoh-darling?” Ever seen a volcano about to explode? Well that's what Anna looked like.

“Yes, a very good reason.” Yoh was shrinking by the second under Anna's deadly gaze. “It's a matter of life or death.” Yoh gulped.

“And that very good reason would be? And if the next words I hear out of anyone's mouth are that she's pregnant with your child, Yoh, you're both dead!” Anna said calmly. Ahh, the calm before the storm.

Jocko, the comic relief of the group, just had to put his two cents in and say, “If she is pregnant, our buddy Yoh's a fast worker! He got her in bed after knowing her for what? Twenty minutes?” The others promptly knocked Jocko unconscious.

Anna's comment caught Yoh totally off guard and he began to piece together fragments and slivers of words and phrases. “What?! NO! I'd never! Well, that is to say…! She's not!” He turned to me and gave me a questioning look. “You're not, are you?”

I pushed Yoh out of the way and walked over to Anna. I held my hand out to shake, while saying, “Hello, my name is Ivy. Yoh rescued me from Hao and I am currently under his protection. Yoh's a great guy. He wouldn't take advantage of me like some other guys I know, so we haven't done anything that intimate yet.” I assured her.

“`Yet' you say. Keep away from him sister, he's mine.”

I chuckled at her `sister' reference. `That's right, she still doesn't know. It'll be fun to keep it that way for awhile longer.' “Easy, Anna. I didn't mean anything. I hope we can still be friends. We got off on the wrong foot. Let's start over. You just walked in at the wrong moment. I'm sorry.” I smiled innocently, and decided that that was going to be my personality around Anna. Sweet, innocent, flirty, little sister.

“She's right Anna. Give her another chance. She really is a great person when you get to know her!” Yoh chimed in. “By the way, where were you guys for the past three days?”

My sister Jun stepped forward to explain, “Those stupid X-LAWS set up a series of road blocks and barriers to stop all traffic for inspection. It appears they were looking for someone, and they wouldn't let us through because the girl they were looking for looks very similarly to Anna.”

“Oh, they're looking for me.” I informed the group.

Anna raised an eyebrow suspiciously at me, “And why do they want you so badly?”

“Because Hao has got it into his head that I'm his fiancée. I do hate him though. Such a mean spirited person. Talk about lack of respect of personal space, and you're allowed no privacy with that pyromaniac! By the way, Yoh, are you going to introduce me to all of your friends?” I cocked my head like a curious puppy at him.

“Of course! Everyone, this is Ivy. Ivy, this is Everyone!” Yoh replied before introducing me individually.
