Human Emotions - chapter 1
A glowing sunset. Vibrant orange, deep pure reds, a smudge of purple and darkened blue. A perfect blend of colour. It was beauty.
But itÕs only spectator had his mind closed. Blind to his surroundings; deep in thought, or rather, depression.
Zelgadis Greywers, used to be human, chimera sorcerer swordsman.
He had been looking for his cure in a nearby town. His sources told him of an ancient temple known for itÕs old scrolls and texts.
But he did not find his cure. It was all basic magics or just retellings of the war of Shabrinigdo and Cyphied. Nothing concerning him.
ÔOne lead to the next...Õ He thought, fists clenched. ÔWhy even bother...ÕTears welled up in eyes, bluring his vision. He closed his eyes and the tears dripped down his face.
He felt a strange warmth around him. It seemed somewhere along the lines someone had wrapped their arms around him! But, he was not traveling with others this time...
Blushing feircely, Zel squirmed and tried to get out of the tight grip so he could see who exactly this was. Had Lina and the others found him? Lina... would never do anything like this for him though....
To weak to release himself, Zelgadis sat with his apparent captive in silence.
Until, ÒWho...?Ó His voice was cracking ÒWho are you?Ó
There was silence for a few more minutes until he heard a faint whisper in his ear, ÒThat, is a secret...Ó
Stunned and furious at the same time, Zel tried to jump up, but the mazoku was far to strong.
ÒX-Xellos! Get off! What-?! Ò Calming down first, Zel continued, ÒWhat do you think youÕre doing?Ó
There was no answer, Xellos just released his grip on the chimera and rested his head on ZelÕs back.
Anger over confusion, Zel knocked back Xellos and turned around. Expecting the usual coy grin, he was surprised to find himself staring into his deep amethyst eyes...
There was no grin or smile. No mocking eyes. His face was so... empty.
Now confusion getting the better of him, Zelgadis sighed. ÒXellos...Ó Trying not to look at the mazoku, Zel blushed. ÒIÕm not in the mood for your yaoi act today if thatÕs what youÕre trying to pull. Okay? So... just....Ó He turned towards the sunset again. Ò...leave me.... in peace.....Ó
Xellos of course, being Xellos and all, shuffled over close to Zel again.
ÒI have something for you Zelgadis...Ó
Their eyes met and ZelÕs face turned crimson. ÒWhat... are you talking about..?Ó
Xellos had his usual grin and genki eyed expression on now. ÒI found it.Ó He stood up and looked at the fading sunset.
ÒTonight. DonÕt fall asleep before I get there. Then youÕd have to wait even longer....Ó
Then with a waggle of his finger, he disapeared.
Left there, confused and almost horrified at the same time, Zel resumed his train of thought. ÔNo use...Ó
