Slayers Next Generation

Deep into the night a cloaked figure walked away from a cozy looking cottage. As the figure faded into the darkness someone became outlined in the faint glow coming from the cottage.

Lina Inverse stood , illuminated by the soft glow behind her. She waved a tired hand.

"Goodbye" She whispered softly.

The night gave no reply.

Months later...

"Miss Lina! " Amelia exclaimed, running up to the bandit killer. "I haven't seen you in over a year!"

Lina smiled slightly, her hand lightly resting in Gourry's, the other resting instinctively on her bulging belly.

Xelloss suddenly appeared and poked Kina in her belly and got poked back!
"Hey Lina, you ate a baby!" The purple haired priest said gleefully.

"Oh, she did?" Gourry asked, puzzled.

Lina fumed. "No I didn't!" She yelled, bashing Xelloss over his head.

Fillia, followed by a shy 3 year old Valgravv and joined by a solemn Zelgadis. Fillia was carrying her own little bundle in her arms. Barley a month old, Zera slept soundly in her mothers arms.

She paused, taking in Lina's current state and smiled warmly. "Oh Lina, you're pregnant!"
The rest of the group let this news sink in.

Gourry's face suddenly lit up. "Oh she didn't EAT a baby, she's going to HAVE one."

Everyone sighed, exasperated. Gourry seemed pleased with himself for figuring it out.

Zel, Amelia and Fillia exchanged glances. "If that kid has both Lina AND Gourry's stomachs then I don't think the world can handle it!" Zel moaned.

Lina laughed and decided to change the subject.

"So, Fillia, you got a kid too. How did that happen?" Lina asked.

Fillia stared darkly as Xelloss. "Believe me, I don't know..."

Xelloss was glad a to answer the question. "Oh, I know! You were drunk and depressed and" Fillia pulled out her mace from nowhere and whapped Xelloss into a nearby tree while Valgravv watched with wide eyes.

"Oh Miss Lina, did you hear? Mr. Zelgadis has an aunt!" Amelia said.

Lina looked puzzled. "huh? How?"

Zel looked away but answered. " Remember how we brought Rezo and Eris back...well" He flushed. "They're been busy."

Lina laughed. She was lost in her own thoughts for a moment then snapped out of them. "You know what. I'm hungry!" Lina exclaimed and everyone contributed to feeding the sorceress.
