He would destroy them; kill them for ruining his life and for kill his grandfather, after all that's why he came here, to train. The others could think that he was searching for his cure all they wanted, he didn't care, all he want was revenge, for what they had done. That why he couldn't go back to Saillune, he had to become stronger so he could have his revenge; that why he couldn't go back to Saillune with Amelia, he had to get revenge for what those monsters done not only to him, but to his grandfather as well, he had to have his revenge. Amelia, his heart ached for her, yet he had to do this. Right? Zelgadis sighed and looked at his canteen and the bracelet that was on it, the one he would never be able to return if he went through with this, so why did he agree to her terms.

"So this is it," he asked the desert winds "my big test? Do I choose death as a monster or life with Amelia?" He hung his head and laughed as unknown tears made their course down his face, looking up he cried out "So it's remind a freak or become a demon to match my outside; is that what you are asking me to decide on? Why do you want me to choose between believe in a dream that will never come true and staying still or to take an action and do what should have been done a long time ago? Since when have you ever known me to stand still? Curse my heart and send it straight to hell, I'll have my bloodshed, I won't stand still for a mirage dressed up as hope! Even if I would like for nothing less then to believe in that dream, I won't have it."

He walked on, he had to, yet farther he got the heavier he felt, he felt like breaking, dying, yet he had to go on, he had to live for his revenge, he had to live for Amelia: if he died she would be heart broken, then what would she be if he want through with this plan of his? He stopped, if she found out about it would kill her, she'd blame herself, even if there was proof as to why he did it. He couldn't do that to her could he? No, no he couldn't, he had to go back to her tell her everything; maybe together they could find another way for him to have his…… no that it matter. He turned for the hundredth time since he got there telling himself that he would go back that it wasn't too late, but one fact continued to turn him back around: the fact that he was a chimera, and there for no longer human, no longer a real man, and a man is what she deserve

But this time instead of running away, back into the sand, he fall to his knees and cried into the sand "I want that dream so bad, but I can't have it can I?" and with that he clasped into the sand welcoming it's softness and the drunken feeling that was washing over him, forcing on to him a dream state.

Xellos was on his normal rout to aggravation when he noticed that the target of his torture was not moving. Worried Xellos move a little closer and carefully placed and hand on the chimera, only to find that Zel was out cold and very ill. This was bad thought Xellos, but he quickly thought of something, picking up the unconscious chimera, Xellos teleported them away.
