Slayers Fan Fiction ❯ Xellos and Filia: A Twisted Fate ❯ What the-?! The First Kisses! ( Chapter 1 )
[Ohkay. Here's the deal. I had some complaints about my Slayers story (I really couldn't believe it until I realized what the complaints were about. Then I felt better.). People wanted more details on the love going on between each of the couples (the main three of course) because well, it all happened so suddenly. (Well, of course, it happened so suddenly, I had to cram so much into the story and it still turned out to be a bloody book, dammit!) So, I decided to write separate stories for each of the couples to have them fall in love with greater detail. In order to do that you must eliminate the mass number of characters and stick to two…or three characters to develop. So, that's what I did. I made a separate story for Xellos and Filia, Lina and Gourry and Zel and Amelia (that has absolutely nothing to do with my other story. The only thing you may find the same is Gourry's family.). Also, for those of you who have seen Try (which I hope everyone who is reading this has!), there is a CD called "Slayers Try Treasury Vox" and it's the group singing. Well some of these particular songs may come up in the stories (just so you're aware). This story is about Xellos and Filia and it's the first in this series. I hope you enjoy it…because DAMN was it fun to write! ^_^ >Hee hee< laughs evilly. Enjoy!]
Xellos and Filia: A Twisted Fate
Part I: What the-?! The First Kisses!
Lord Beastmaster, one of the Dark Lords of the Mazoku, sat on her throne toying with a piece of parchment in one hand. The wolves about her were beginning to tense up with her growing impatience. Her long fingers twirled the parchment around, while the cigarette in her other hand was smoldering. Her eyebrow twitched. Where the hell was Xellos?! She had called for him the moment she received the curious little note, and her pet trickster had yet to appear before her. He never failed to comply with a summoning. What the hell was the fool doing?!
It was then that the purple haired fool appeared before her, bowing profusely, his hand scratching the back of his head as he laughed nervously.
"Sorry, Lord Beastmaster. Your summoning was quite unexpected and I was trying to finish something else as quickly as possible," Xellos said bowing again.
Beastmaster only rolled her eyes and straightened. "Xellos, do you know why you were summoned?"
Xellos lifted an eyebrow, but slowly shook his head. "I really have no idea, Lord Beastmaster."
She lifted up the piece of parchment and threw it at him. "It was this intriguing little note, Xellos. Somehow, in some way, the writer of that note desperately wanted to call you out. The only thing I want to know is how you got so involved with a Golden Dragon that she would send the note to me so she can call you out."
Blue lines appeared on Xellos' face and his jaw dropped. Beastmaster lifted an eyebrow as she studied him. He was certainly shocked. Well, she wasn't surprised. She had been shocked as well when she read the note.
XELLOS! Get your ass here now!
So I can beat you to death, damn you!
You're SO dead, you STUPID Mazoku!!
Filia
Beastmaster eyed Xellos. "Now can you please tell me what this is all about? I do recall that Filia was the name of the Golden Dragon that was tagging along with you during the Dark Star campaign. But what in the heavens is she doing trying to contact you…through ME?"
Xellos gulped. "Uh…Well, truthfully…" he swallowed again. Beastmaster continued to study him, awaiting his answer. "Actually…ha, ha, ha… She's just a naïve Golden Dragon. She probably didn't even know it would be given to you before me."
Beastmaster arched her brows. "Flip the note, Xellos." She watched as he paled.
For Lord Beastmaster
Please deliver to XELLOS immediately!
Thank you
Xellos collapsed, muttering curses at no one in particular. Beastmaster sighed and leaned back against her throne. She brought the cigarette tip to her mouth and inhaled as she watched Xellos compose himself. She exhaled. Once he was again standing, she addressed him. "Xellos, what is your relationship with this Golden Dragon? Any relations with her should have been terminated after the Dark Star situation. Why is she trying to get in contact with you? And how does she know you so well that she would send me a note to make sure you arrive at her home?"
Xellos was sweating. Beastmaster sighed. "And don't give me your little 'sore wa himitsu desu' or I'll have you castrated right here."
Xellos winced and then gave a light smile. "You were never one to beat around the bush, Lord Beastmaster." He shrugged. "Let's just say that the situation with this Golden Dragon is a lot more complicated that I had hoped it would get. I never thought she would have the guts to pull something like this."
Beastmaster lifted an eyebrow. "Clearly she does, Xellos." She inhaled another drawl from her cigarette. She slowly exhaled, watching her servant. She sighed. "Very well, my little trickster. I'll let you run off to meet the Golden Dragon's demands. But when you return," she smirked, "that is, of course, if you do, you will explain to me in full detail what is transpiring between a Mazoku and a Ryuzoku. Understood?"
Xellos gave a light bow in compliance and promptly vanished.
Beastmaster gave a light smile. "Go. Follow and watch him. Give me a full report on what occurs. Is that understood, Flea Demon?"
The tiny demon bowed and teleported after Xellos. Beastmaster grinned into the darkness.

When Xellos teleported into Filia's home, the last thing he had expected to see was a flying mace coming straight for his head. He barely had enough time to duck. It crashed into the wall behind him, probably annihilating anything that had been on the wall. A huge sweatdrop formed on the back of his head as he straightened and faced a fuming Filia.
Her eyes were ablaze, her hair rumpled. Her fangs were bared and her long ears twitching. The sleeveless light blue dress she wore had food stains all over it and her robe hung off her shoulders exposing a good bit of cleavage and shoulder. Xellos couldn't help but smile. And that sent her into a roaring fury.
"XELLOS!!!"
He winced and neatly avoided her next attack. What had her so upset? She usually greeted him with a swing of her mace, but this was ridiculous. Then he remembered the note sent to Beastmaster. That had been uncalled for. Now Lord Beastmaster was going to be hounding him about the time he spent here.
"What, Filia? What did I do this time?" He abruptly stopped and opened his eyes, a sneer on his face. "And why did you contact Lord Beastmaster?"
Filia stopped her next attack. Her arms dropped and she began to laugh. Xellos blinked. What the…?
"MORON! Can't you even hear him?! He's bellowing like a fiend!"
Xellos stopped for a moment and listened. That was when he heard the wailing. He turned to Filia in question. "Wha-"
She slammed him with her mace and sent him flying into baby Val's bedroom.
The baby was wailing in his crib. He was only six months old and all green hair, gold eyes and black wings. Xellos managed to stop himself before he crashed into the crib. When the baby spotted him, the wailing abruptly came to a halt. Baby Val lifted his arms to Xellos, demanding to be picked up. Xellos unconsciously complied, lifting the child in his arms. What the hell? Is this what…?
He turned around to face an exhausted Filia. She was leaning against the doorframe, her robe sagging, and her head bowed. He lifted an eyebrow and walked toward her.
"Is this why you-"
"Yes, you moron." She lifted her head and he stared into exhausted blue eyes. "You have a schedule to keep, if you recall correctly! It was your own damn fault that Val took to you and now if doesn't get to play with you every other day at the time YOU SET YOURSELF then he wails like a madman and there's nothing I can do to make him stop." Her eyes narrowed at him. "He has an unbelievable stamina. He's been screaming since yesterday, you stupid trickster!"
Xellos opened his eyes and stared at her. The baby was tugging happily on Xellos' shirt. "For this? For a baby Ancient Dragon you sent a note to my boss…?"
Filia's eyes narrowed. "I never know where you are, Xellos. 'Sore wa himitsu desu', remember?" she muttered bitterly. Then she gave him a wicked smile. "So when Val burst out crying after you didn't show, there was no way to contact you. I figured the fastest way was to send a note to Beastmaster. I was sure the Dark Lord you work for would make sure you got the note ASAP."
Xellos growled. "Lord Beastmaster thought you were calling me out, you stupid dragon! I have managed to keep my little visits here a secret, especially when they started becoming regular. But it isn't your place to-"
Filia straightened and growled back, interrupting him. "And it isn't your place you break the promise you made to Val. You willingly became his pet Mazoku, now you've got to honor that!"
"I don't have to honor a damn thing! I'm a Mazoku! What do I care about a stupid, uptight, prude of a Golden Dragon and her adopted baby?! I should have completely ignored that note! You have no right to-"
Filia cut him off again. "Then you shouldn't have come here in the first place! YOU are the one who decided to play with Val! YOU are the one who decided to pop up again two days later at the same time to play with him again! YOU are the one who gave yourself over to him! And you dare to want to back out NOW?!"
"Damn you, Filia, will you just be silent?! Your bellowing is grating on my nerves!"
"Grate this, you prick!"
She tossed the mace in his direction, and it narrowly missed his head. He teleported right before her and stared into her flaming blue eyes.
"You could have hit Val, you know."
She growled at him, fangs bared. "I missed you on purpose you stu-"
Before she could utter another word, Xellos bent down and silenced her with his lips. In one arm, he had baby Val, but the other snaked around Filia and pressed her up against him as he parted her lips with his tongue. What was with this Golden Dragon? She drove him up the wall! He never, ever looses his cool except when around her. With that huge mace of hers, she manages to knock down his walls of nonchalance and indifference. Her stroked her tongue with his and his mind burst into chaos, his body hardening. Her body melted against him. Lightning licked up his spine and ricocheted through his nerve endings. Xellos became lost in her. Her sweetness burst forth enveloping him. She tasted like thick sweet honey, sinful, delightful. She was so soft against him, her breasts tight against his chest, her body curving perfectly into his. He bent his head in a different angle, his tongue thrusting more deeply into the hot cavern of her mouth and he sought more of her nectar. He inhaled her musky scent and his head spun. Desire enflamed him and he forgot everything, who he was, what he was, why he was here. All he knew was the female in his arms. The female that was now kissing him back with equal fervor.
A resounding crash broke the spell. Xellos pulled away and watched drowsily as Filia slowly opened her eyes. He watched her eyes refocus and saw when realization came to them. She abruptly stepped away from him and bumped into the wall. Her face was flaming. "I…I…" she shook her head and marched into the house, ignoring Jillas and the vase he had broken.
Xellos stared after and a light smirk twisted on his lips. "Finally speechless. Who would have thought the prudish Golden Dragon had a passionate side to her?" He turned to baby Val. "Eh, little one?"
The baby just gurgled happily.
* * *
Filia had taken a cold shower, gotten dressed and was now violently combing her hair. Out of all the nerve! When did that Mazoku even think that he had a right to do that to her?! She just couldn't believe it. He…he…he had just gone and done it! She couldn't believe that repulsive little thing had just gone and…and…KISSED her!
Filia put the brush down and put her hand slowly over her heart. But… But why was her heart racing? Her breath caught as she remembered the kiss and what it had felt like to be in his arms… Her nipples puckered and body began to heat again.
"DAMN!" She picked up the brush and hurled it across the room. What is wrong with me?!, she thought wildly as she rubbed her nipples back to normal. She had just taken a long, long, cold shower to get rid of the uncontrollable heat that had almost make her unable to walk. And now, just thinking about what…what had happened, her skin was crawling, her fingertips tingling, her breath becoming shallow and her body heating again. Her skin had always crawled around him, and whenever he had touched her before she had always gotten shallow breath and her body always heated up. She always assumed it was revulsion…but now all those feelings had been intensified a hundredfold and…well…she didn't think revulsion was so pleasurable.
Filia banged her head on her vanity. PLEASURE? What the hell is she thinking?! How could she have gotten pleasure out of kissing a…a…a…Mazoku?! He stole the kiss! She should be outraged! And she was…to a point.
She groaned and shook her head. She…she just needed to do something.
Filia got up and grabbed her apron, heading to the kitchen. She passed by Xellos playing with baby Val. She gave them a sideways glance and Xellos looked up at her with a wicked smile. She felt her face beginning to burn and she quickly rushed into the kitchen. She closed the door with a slam and leaned against it, breathing heavily. Her heart was racing again. Her nipples were upright too and her body was hot. DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT!
She grumbled to herself and rubbed her breasts again, headed to the fridge to get the ingredients. Think of something else…think of something else…
Filia allowed herself to get absorbed in her cooking. Jillas and Garbos had had to take care of the store alone today, because she had been busy trying to calm Val. The two had worked hard and she wanted to reward them with a good meal. Hopefully, Xellos would be gone by the time the food was ready. She didn't want to have to feed him.
She put the food in the oven with a smile and took off her mittens and apron. She heated up Val's milk-bottle. She tested the temperature and left the kitchen humming.
Filia smirked when she saw Xellos struggling with a sleepy, hungry Val.
"Hmph," he heard her say, "I guess you're already tired of your pet Mazoku, eh?"
Filia smiled and walked by him. Val opened his arms to her and she took the child. She lifted a taunting eyebrow at Xellos. All right! Complete control. He does not bother me anymore. Cooking did me good. "Can't you tell when a child is hungry and sleepy, Xellos? Watch and learn."
She left the room and headed toward Val's bedroom. There she sat on her rocking chair, cradling the baby in her arms and holding the bottle to his mouth. She smiled. "He's getting so big. It's been six months since he was born and he's already so big."
Then Filia began to sing a lullaby to him.
Xellos watched from the door.
Somewhere in the world, somewhere in the dark,
I can hear the voice that calls my name.
Might be a memory, might be my future,
Might be a love waiting for me.
Rock me gently, hug me tenderly,
'Til the morning breaks, night fades away.
I've spent my time in vain, trapped inside pain,
Don't let me down, help me see the light.
Feeling bitter and twisted all along,
Waiting through and empty life too long.
I close my eyes, listen to the wind,
Longing to belong to a higher place.
Let me hear your voice, let me be with you,
When the shadow falls down under me,
Like a bird singing, like a breeze blowing,It's calling me, it's somewhere in the world…
Somewhere in the world.
Xellos wondered what was the feeling in his chest. It was as if he'd been… moved. Yes, that was the word. Moved. The lullaby had moved him. Now that was unusual. Why would such a thing do that? Why would he even be moved to begin with?
He watched Filia slowly stand up and walk over to the crib. She placed the sleeping baby dragon within his blanket and gave him a light kiss on the forehead. There was the feeling again in his chest. Watching her act motherly was doing some strange things to his system. Unpleasant things.
She turned around and lifted an eyebrow at him. Xellos did the same in return. Well, she had gained her composure back, while he was now loosing his. An evil thought twisted in his mind. Maybe he would just shatter that composure of hers.
Filia blinked as she saw him straighten and start walking toward her. Her heart was beginning to race again. Her skin was tingling, her mouth becoming dry. What spell was the Mazoku doing on her?!
He stopped right before her. His chest almost touched her breasts. Her lips were dry so she licked them quickly. Xellos' eyes (which were open the entire time) narrowed and Filia could feel his gaze on her lips. No… He wasn't…
She opened her mouth tell him something…but his mouth suddenly sealed over hers. Whatever she had been going to tell him was lost, along with her mind. Filia melted into him, colors swirling before her, making her dizzy. She tried to close her eyes, but the splashes of light and color only continued with the sudden wash of pleasure. She felt his arms wrap around her tightly, pressing her against him. One of his hands settled on her rear and pressed her up against his…his… Filia groaned into his mouth as she felt him against the crux of her legs. Heat overwhelmed her. She grew moist and she was suddenly aware of everything. The sound of their clothing as they rustled against each other, his harsh breathing, and the rapid beat of their hearts, his hands, and her panties…everything. She clung to him, her nails digging into his shirt and shoulders. He angled his head and the kiss became deeper. Filia was gone. All she could do was ride the storm of pleasure he was creating. The kiss was carnal and wild. She pressed herself against him and rubbed against his body. His hand lifted her even more against his hardness, while the other hand took hold of a breast and began to knead her. Filia whimpered in the back of her throat.
Oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god. She was on fire and all she wanted to do was open up to him and have him quench it. Every cell in her body was crying out for him, for this pleasure that she knew he could give her. Her heart felt as if it were about to explode. He tasted like dark red wine, intoxicating. His scent of mist and male was invading her senses and she lost sense of who and what she was, and who and what he was. It didn't matter. All that matter was having him, here and now. On the floor. In Val's bedroom.
Filia pulled away with a rush, her entire body screaming in denial. No, no, no, no, no, no! This was too fast! Why was this happening?! It…it had been ages since she'd first met him. Why was he doing this to her now?! Why was he doing this…this… this… MAZOKU?!
"Filia?"
She felt him take a step toward her. She looked up, tears spilling. "Stay away!"
Her arm went flying before she could stop it. The sound of the smack resounded in the room as her slap connected. Her heart was racing. All she could do was stand there and stare at him in shock. His face was turned to the side, a red hand imprint slowly forming on his face. She drew her hand back quickly and tears spilled from her eyes. Her body was still aching for what he had been giving her just moments ago. She turned around and quickly fled into the next room, heading straight for the kitchen.
Xellos only stared after her.
* * *
"Hey, miss, are you all right?" Jillas asked with a worried look.
Filia only nodded silently and began serving the food. Garbos and Jillas were still looking at her with worry on their faces. Xellos was sitting at the table too, an ice pack to his face. The swelling was finally going down. Now that he hadn't been expecting. She almost knocked him from his feet with that smack.
Xellos watched her as she served everyone. Val was still asleep despite the racket he and the Golden Dragon had done in his room. Dinner had been a little burnt, but it was still completely edible. Just a bit on the crispy side. Unfortunately, dinner came with a side order of tension and that could really upset one's stomach. Her hands were shaking.
If he had known his kisses caused this kind of reaction, he would have done this much earlier. He had always been tempted to shut her mouth with his own, since the day he met her, but he had never been able to get the guts. Mainly because he was afraid that the fact that she was a Golden Dragon and a descendant of the god race would cause him to keel over and die should he had ever attempted it. Today had just been the last straw. If only the last straw had snapped months ago. Who knows where they would be by now?
Xellos watched her hand tremble as she served him the mashed potatoes. When she picked up the knife to cut the crispy pheasant, both Garbos and Jillas stood up.
"It's okay, miss. We'll carve the bird for you. You just sit down. Jillas, why don't you get the tea?"
"Sure, boss."
Filia promptly sat down in her seat and heaved a sigh.
Xellos continued to watch her. He could see the rapid beating of the pulse on her throat. She stiffened even more in her chair. He sighed. This was going nowhere. Might as well try to eat some of the food in peace. Xellos turned his gaze away from her and gave the other two a small smile as he lifted his cup to be served.
He felt Filia relax… a little bit.
* * *
Xellos knew he had already been here too long. Lord Beastmaster was going to drive him nuts with questions. He just knew it. But since the last kiss, he hadn't been able to get near her. He had just found out something quite disturbing about himself. He liked kissing her. He liked everything about it. He liked the way her body sighed and melted into his. The way her hands trembled as she dug her nails into his shirt and shoulders, the way she opened to him and called him to her with her soul.
He had noticed another thing. He was drawn to her soul. There was brilliant light that burned him whenever he kissed her, and he knew that was the heat of her soul. It called to him, reached out to him, pulled him toward it and burned him with a glorious pleasure that was almost cataclysmic. It left Xellos wondering what it would be like to finally take her to bed.
Xellos smiled to himself. Take her to bed, eh? Started kissing her for the first time today, and already thinking about bedding her? Xellos, what are you thinking, you fool? She's a Golden Dragon, a Ryuzoku, a child of the gods, and you, a child of the demons, a Mazoku, want to take her to bed? He had some serious thinking to do about this situation.
Filia walked into the room then. She stiffened when she saw him. Xellos only smiled lightly and stood up, walking toward her. She took a step back. All right, he got the hint. Her face was burning, her big blue eyes were focused on the floor and she was silent. Xellos only stood there and waited.
Eventually she spoke. "What do you want? Why are you still here?"
Xellos grinned. "Why, Filia! I'm hurt! I just wanted to say farewell for the evening! Where are your manners? One would assume as a Golden Dragon you would have better manners!"
Her head snapped up, eyes blazing. "I don't have to be polite to a damn Ma-"
He disappeared and reappeared right before her. She was startled. He grinned and rubbed his thumb over her lips. "Ah, now that's the Golden Dragon I know." Her eyes flashed with ire and, with a laugh, he brushed his lips against hers and teleported away.
Filia collapsed onto her knees.
