Tell Me The Truth 2

He waited with sweaty palms and bated breath for Ko Mo to leave the Dojo. Ha Da did not know why he was so nervous, but he saw the door open and his heart dropped into his quivering stomach. Ha Da nearly passed out from relief when he saw a dark haired young man leave the Dojo carrying a bag and a stick over his shoulder. Wait, relief! Why am I relieved? I want to see Ko Mo. Ha Da nodded to himself and looked again at the door surprised that several more students had walked by and he had not noticed. “Hey,” Ha Da nearly left his skin as Ko Mo stood behind him holding his gym bag and Shinai. Ha Da took a moment to appreciate the high ponytail. “What are you doing here?” Ko Mo asked and gave Ha Da his bag to carry. Ha Da smiled, he really felt like they were dating.
Ko Mo would not release his Shinai, but he started walking down the street towards the house he shared with Hae-Gi and his mother. “I want to talk to you.” Ha Da said when he and Ko Mo were inside. Ko Mo paused in the middle of putting his things away to look at Ha Da with a raised brow. Ha Da was reminded of a night not too long ago. They were both soaked through after Ha Da's dip in the Han River. Ko Mo had gone to his place to shower and borrow dry clothing. Ha Da shivered as he thought of Ko Mo as he had changed clothes.
The frown on Ko Mo's face was blatant proof of his confusion. “Talk?” Ha Da wished Ko Mo would have allowed him to make love to him again, but he had been too worried about his brother. Understandable. Ha Da thought and clasped his hands in front of him before he reached into his pockets, felt the envelope and then pulled his hands out again.
“I uh... have some tickets to a concert and I was wondering if you would accompany me.” Ha Da said and waited while Ko Mo reached up and pulled the ribbon free of his hair and shook his head to release his glorious tresses from their confines. Ha Da's mouth felt inexplicably dry as he stared at Ko Mo and tried to remember how to breathe.
“Who's playing?” Ko Mo asked knowing full well that Ha Da had rifled through his CDs to see what kind of music he listened to and knowing that one of his favorites was in town he was not surprised when Ha Da answered.
“Hikaru Utada.” Ha Da produced the envelope and handed the tickets to Ko Mo. “She's playing live here and I got front row seats and backstage passes.”
“It must be nice having such connections.” Ko Mo said acidly hating Ha Da's father and considered turning down the tickets just for spite.
“It is, dating the younger brother of Oh Hae-Gi, I mean; he can get tickets to just about anything.” Ha Da said smiling sweetly though his heart felt punctured by Ko Mo's cruelty. “Look I know you hate my father, but sometimes, you have to...” Ha Da allowed his hands to drop lifelessly at his sides and he turned away from Ko Mo. “What was I thinking?” He heaved a defeated sigh. “Dinner and concert, maybe a kiss, maybe...” Ha Da let his words fall dead in the air as he headed for the door. Ko Mo gasped and blushed, hating himself for the affectation.
He watched Ha Da and saw him reach for the door. Ha Da slammed the door shut and Ko Mo stood with his arms crossed before he angrily marched to the door and wrenched it open. “So you just thought to wine and dine me! You expected to dazzle me with a concert and get into my pants... Bastard!” Ko Mo slammed the door and glowered at the floor. He saw Ha Da walk down the street from the window and he sighed. Why was he always so cruel to the one person who was on his side no matter what? Ko Mo tucked his lower lip into his mouth and picked up the phone. He was not surprised that it rang for a few minutes then Ha Da's voice mail picked up. “You probably looked at the caller ID, saw my number and decided not to pick up... well, I'll go. What day and time?” Ko Mo hung up the phone and sat for a long time wondering why Ha Da put up with him.

Wow, was all Ha Da could think as he got a good look at Ko Mo. After a night of dancing, whirl wind introductions to the band and Hikaru Utada herself, along with her autograph and then the dance club Ko Mo still looked gorgeous. They had stumbled into Ha Da's apartment and Ha Da went to the fridge. He opened a can of soda and brought it to Ko Mo. With a flirtatiously, suspicious look Ko Mo accepted the drink and Ha Da would have rather Ko Mo had ripped out his heart than look at him like that. “It's just soda.” Ha Da tried to find the laughter that should have accompanied that statement.
“Whatever,” Ko Mo answered and dutifully took a sip.
Ha Da heaved a sigh and turned a chair around before he dropped into it in front of Ko Mo. Wide, crystal blue eyes focused on him with a frown. “Something has been bothering me. I want to talk to you about it.”
“Yes?” Ko Mo raised a brow and leaned back against the chair eying Ha Da with a smirk.
Ha Da stared at Ko Mo and felt his heart beat faster and his skin began to flush and sweat. “It was supposed to be a sleeping pill.” He blurted out and lowered his head unable to look Ko Mo in the eyes. “I only meant to make you sleep so that I could get the tape and destroy it. I only wanted to save your life. I only loved you. I only... love... you. And ... And you were so agreeable, you were smiling at me and looking at me with those eyes and.... I couldn't help myself.” Ha Da stood and walked over to Ko Mo. He dropped to his knees in front of Ko Mo and took his hands. “Please,” He said and lowered his head. “Forgive me. What I did was wrong. I... Have done some reading and I know now that I must have hurt you. I am so sorry.”
As Ha Da knelt in front of Ko Mo he felt Ko Mo tug his hands free and stand. Ko Mo stood and walked over to look out of the large picture windows. “When I was in The States, there was a guy. He was older and he helped me with my English. I thought... He was really nice...” Ko Mo said and looked back at Ha Da.
“Ko Mo? What...” Ha Da began not sure he liked the haunted tone in Ko Mo's voice.
“You said,” Ko Mo said turning around with tears falling down his face. “You said that I could trust you. You said that anything in my life that ever hurt me... I could tell you.” Ha Da rushed forward and tried to take Ko Mo into his arms but was rebuffed with a fearful force of trained Judo. “Even with my training, I was not strong enough to get him off me. I was helpless against you too, but at least you used something, you made it so that I was loose enough, so that it felt kind of good.” Ko Mo deflated and stomped back to his chair and sat down. With a renewed sense of anger and helplessness, he picked up his soda and took a sip.
“Were there really lots of guys like that?” Ha Da asked scared that he was no better than the man who had been so unkind to his love. Ko Mo shook his head and sighed. Then why...?”
“If I had told you the truth... I am strong, Ha Da. I am not afraid to die for what I believe in or for those I love. Cruelty against those who are weaker and less fortunate than you can not be forgiven.” The vehemence in Ko Mo's voice was almost frightening to Ha Da. “It was nothing. One night does not make us lovers, one night that I did not even want.” Why was he so cruel? Ko Mo thought swallowing the bitter tears that threatened to choke him. Why was he so determined to hurt the one person who was completely on his side? “So we are here, alone.” Ko Mo said with a defeated sigh. “Let's do it. It's what you want isn't it?”
“Not like this.” Ha Da said and went to the fridge for another soda. “I need you to want this. I do not want you to cooperate because...”
“I told you... down by the river... I kissed you. I told you that I loved you.” Ko Mo said and stood ripping his shirt off. “I am giving myself to you because I want to.” Ko Mo walked over to Ha Da and pressed his lips against Ha Da's unyielding ones. Ko Mo stepped back and saw the doubt in Ha Da's eyes. With an angry gasp, he swiped up his discarded shirt and slammed from the apartment. Ha Da hung his head and felt a tear fall down his cheek. The same tear he had shed when he had sank into Ko Mo for the first time.
Ko Mo marched around and stared at the Han River angry at the tears that continued to fall. “I don't care!” He said aloud and gripped the railing until his knuckles turned white and his fingertips began to tingle. He realized he was trembling and the awful memories he had gained in America made his stomach churn. “I never should have said anything.” He told the gently flowing body of water.
Ha Da stood for a moment and watched the wind play with Ko Mo's hair. “You should have seen the look on your face when Shiina Ringo walked on to the stage.” Ko Mo caught his breath and stood still waiting for what Ha Da would say or do next. “I do not speak English as well as you do, but the lyrics were underneath the song.” Ko Mo frowned and still would not turn around and look at Ha Da. “The song they sang… Close to you. That is how I feel. Why won't you let me?”
“I thought I did.” Ko Mo said still refusing to turn around.
“Only for a moment; then you pushed me away again. I saw a glimpse of your heart, and then you shut it away.” Ha Da said with a sad sigh. He was slow to approach Ko Mo. When he did he placed his arms on either side of him on the rail. Ko Mo tensed wondering what Ha Da planned to do.
“I offered myself to you and you did not want me.” Ko Mo said hiding the hurt that Ha Da's rejection had caused.
“You were offering your body, that's not what I want.” Ha Da said and indulged in a moment of closing his eyes and inhaling the wild scent of Ko Mo's free flowing hair.
Ko Mo stilled before he turned around in the loose embrace and faced Ha Da. “You're crazy, you know that?”
“Yeah,” Ha Da said with a grin as he stared into Ko Mo's beautiful eyes.
“You are a self-destructive masochist.” Ko Mo argued trying to convince himself that he did not want Ha Da to kiss him all the while staring at Ha Da's lips.
“You are a knife-wielding sociopath.” Ha Da affirmed before he lowered his head and sealed his mouth to Ko Mo's stealing his breath and anything he thought he wanted to say. Ko mo was melting and he wanted to shove away from Ha Da before he realized it. Ha Da clung to Ko Mo and brought his hips to a startling connection with his own. “We are fit only to be with each other. Why won't you accept it?”
“I do…” Ko Mo panted when Ha Da sucked brutally on his neck leaving an angry mouth shaped bruise. Ko Mo gasped and clutched Ha Da to him. He thought the bridge was tilting when Ha Da shoved a leg between his. “Can't you feel that?” Ko Mo said after taking a deep breath. Ha Da smirked as he could indeed feel the erection pressing up against him.
“Stop being so damn mean.” Ha Da demanded and backed away from Ko Mo when he heard footsteps behind them and the obvious clearing of a throat.
“Well now young man,” Ha Da gasped and blushed when he saw the police officer discretely looking away from Ko Mo. “Why don't you take the young lady home?”
“Will do sir,” Ha Da said and grinned before he took Ko Mo's arm and turned him away from the officer. “I will take him to my home right this instant.” Ha Da marched away before the officer could grasp the meaning of his words.
“Once you get me in your home… What do you plan to do with me?” Ko Mo asked breathlessly as he tried to keep up with Ha Da.
Ha Da looked back at Ko Mo and pulled him into the elevator. Pressing Ko Mo against the wall Ha Da resumed his kissing. He pulled back and looked into Ko Mo's beautiful eyes. “What do you want me to do?” Ko Mo raised a single brow and smiled.
