Shadow's Thoughts:

I can't take this pain anymore. I am an outcast to this cold world. I have no friends and no family. No one will miss me. Sonic, I love you.

Shadow looked through his dresser for the gun he kept. In his mind he should have never been created. He couldn't find his gun, so he settled for something else. He took a knife out and right before he could Sonic came in.

Sonic: "Sorry for just coming in, but your door was open. Oh My God! Shadow What are you doing? Please don't do this."

Shadow: "Why shouldn't I?"

Sonic: "Because there are people in this world who will miss you. There are people in this world who love you Shadow."

Sonic's Thoughts:

I can't tell him the truth. I can't tell him that I love him. Not Now. That was the whole reason of me coming here was to tell him everything, but now if I tell him he might kill himself. I don't want to lose him.

Sonic had felt weak to see that the one person he loved was trying to kill himself. He didn't realize that Shadow had actually loved him. What was he going to do? He needed to save his friend.

Shadow: "Sonic, why can't you give me a reason to live?"

Sonic stood there speechless. As he stood there Shadow saw that and slashed his wrist.

Sonic: "Shadow no! I am gonna get you help. I am going to see that you get help."

Sonic quickly rushed Shadow to the hospital. The nurses rushed Shadow in to fix him up. They said he was cut up pretty bad. When they asked what happened Sonic lied and said that he was in a very bad car accident. The nurses and doctors seemed to accept this story.

It had been a couple hours before they let Sonic see Shadow. Sonic was so worried about him. He thought Shadow was really going to die. He couldn't stand losing him. He loved Shadow more than anything in the world. He would give his life for Shadow.

Sonic had spent the whole day in Shadows room. Shadow was sill unconscious. Doctors say that he might not wake up until the next morning. Sonic refused to leave his room.

On the next morning Shadow woke up.

Shadow: "Where am I?"

Sonic: "You're in the hospital. I quickly rushed you over here after you slashed your wrist."

Shadow: "Why did you do it? Why did you save me?"

Sonic's Thoughts:

Should I tell him? How would he react? I wish I knew if he loved me. I love him, but I am too afraid to tell him. Well, here I go. I guess it is time to finally tell him.

Sonic: "Shadow, the reason I saved you was because I love you. I can't imagine life without you."

Shadow: "Sonic, I have something to tell you."

Shadows thoughts:

I can't believe that Sonic loves me. I hope this is not a dream.

Shadow: "Sonic, I…I…I love you."

Sonic: "Shadow, why did you try to kill yourself?"

Shadow: "I thought that no one cared about me, but now I know that is not true. I know someone who cares."

Sonic: "Shadow if you want to move into my place when you get out of here that would be great."

Shadow: "Sonic. I would be glad to move in with you."

A Couple Weeks Later Shadow's POV:

It has been at least two weeks since I got out of the hospital and I am feeling better. Sonic has done everything to make me happy. Sonic is still worried about me, but not as much as he used to be. Living with Sonic has been great. Nothing can get between me and Sonic.
