Chapter 7

As the night air began to make its prescence better known, a certain black hedgehog was walking down the alleyways of the city.

This certain black hedgehog was Shadow the Hedgehog whom was crying slightly after witnessing Sonic and Amy's encounter.

"Im so glad Sonic and Amy are together...but........." Shadow realized that all his friends had someone as a companion except himself. "I'm...I'm alone......." Shadow glumly said to himself as he trudged over puddles of water, considerably miserable as any single guy would be.

As Shadow reached the end of the alleyway, he saw two pairs of shadow's engulfing him. Shadow looked behind him and saw two figures he didn't want to see: Lark and Frieta.

"Well, well, well...! Looks like the big, bad hedgehog is all alone!" Lark said, his spiked fists gleaming in the moonlight.

"What do you punks want?" Shadow asked, pissed off at having to see the two of them.

"Its very simple, we seek your friend, Sonic, and only you can give us the details necessary to find him! Now, are you going to make this easy by telling us where your buddy is, or you can make this difficult and get your ass kicked! Whats it gonna be, Shadow?!" Frieta said, grinning slightly at Shadow.

"I think I'll kick your asses instead!" Shadow punched Lark in the face but got kicked in the groin as he went to hit Frieta.

"Wrong answer!" Frieta kicked Shadow in the gut with her pointed shoe, the intensity of the kick felt like a knife to Shadow who was trying to get Frietas foot off his chest.

Meanwhile, Lark began punching Shadow in theface with his spiked knuckles, busting Shadow open easily.

"You son of a bitch!!" Shadow screamed at Lark everytime Lark pucnhed him with those spiked knuckles.

"We told you, you could've made this easy, or you could've made it difficult, and you made the wrong choice!" Lark shouted at the helpless Shadow, who was bleeding profusely with each blow from Lark's fists.

Shadow felt his entire body getting weak as Lark continued to assault him, suddenly Lark was thrown off Shadow, and Frieta was kicked in the face by someone.

Shadow tried to see who had stopped them but only got a blurry image of a black hedgehog girl before Shadow collapsed from the pain.
