"So Robotnik's inviting us all to play? Sounds like fun?" Knuckles said to Tails. "I'm in, have nothing else to do… Let's go find Sonic then!"

I ran from the cheering. I don't understand why it agonized me so. The thought of all those blissful people seems to repulse me more then I can bare… Now what is this dark figure approaching me?

"Come with me, Shadow," a metallic voice emited from the figure. Then I saw a strange gleam and odd red lights on the bizarre individual in the shadows.

"Funny, you look like the `shadow' to me," I retorted, though I knew, who-ever this person is, they must have the fear in my eyes.

All that I perceived was a gust of air and a sharp pain on my head as the shadows consumed me, body and soul together.
