Mikey B23 here! I'm working on a NEW fanfiction!! It spans ten yeras (about how old Sonic is.) and starts with Sonic's birth all the way up to his death. This will be my longest work, and it will probably take me the entire summer to do, I hope you readers can be paitient! (This story is from my head, so it probably doesn't follow EXACTLY what actually happens in the Comic book series!)

Fate-Ch.1 (The birth of a Hero)

The sky's of Knothole begin to cloud as thunder and lightning signal the approach of a violent storm. Nearby, a hedgehog, a female, is pregnant, with a baby soon to be delivered.

Felicia, who was due for a baby anytime soon, was hanging on to a pipe from the wall, trying to keep herself balanced, so her delivery wouldn't be hurt.

"Ohhh, just wait till I'm ready..." Felicia said to her unborn child, who would eventually grow to be a true hero. "I just hope I can find a hospi-" Felicia could not finish her thought, as the baby started pushing; Felicia was going through labor.

Just before she hit the ground, Felicia blacked out.

<three hours later>

Felicia woke up, on a bed. The ceiling and walls were a pure white which looked like a dove. Felicia looked around, her mind not quite aware she was in a hospital.

"Good to see you're coming to!" A nurse came in and told Felicia exactly what happened. "The guy who brought you here was quite worried for your baby! I didn't even get a chance to ask who he was!" The nurse left the room.

"Where's my baby?" Felicia asked the nurse just before she was out of earshot.

"I'm bringing him to you." The nurse calmly replied.

"Its a BOY?!" Felicia was about to do a backflip.

"Yes it is. And a FINE one at that!" The nurse replied.

"Let me see him!" Felicia looked at her baby boy, a blue hedgehog, about two pounds, 1 ounce, he had adorable Emerald-Green eyes, those eyes just captivated her own Emerald-Green eyes.

"He's a fine hedgehog, miss! I must say, he's a better baby I've seen in a while!" The nurse said with joy.

"He's...Perfect." Felicia just said with love in her voice.

"What are you going to name him?" The nurse finally asked.

"I have the perfect name for him...Sonic.

<Two Years Later>

"Sonic! Come here!" Felicia called out to Sonic.

"Coming, mom!" the young, upstart hedgehog ran to his mom with blinding speed.

Well! I guess I don't have to wait long for an answer from you, do I?" Felicia asked her young son.

"Guess not, mom!" Sonic replied.

"You better get ready for school! You'll miss your bus!" Felicia remembered at last.

"Okay!" Sonic ran so fast, Felicia didn't even get to three when Sonic was all ready for school.

"Wow..." Felicia was amazed at her sons gift of incredible speed.

<On the bus>

"Hey, you must be the new kid!" an unfamiliar voice called out.

"Yeah, thats me! My names Sonic! Sonic the Hedgehog! Whats your name?" Sonic asked the strange Echidna.

"I'm Knuckles!" Knuckles replied.

"Strange name." Sonic said.

"Well, I wouldn't say that "Sonic" is not to be classified as "Strange"

"Well, my mom called me that because I got this weird gift she calls "Supersonic Speed!" Sonic said, pounding his chest lightly.

Knuckles gave Sonic a tiny punch to the chest, causing him to wince slightly.

"Thats why I'm called Knuckles!" Knuckles smirked, pounding his fists together.

"So I see!" Sonic said, still rubbing his chest lightly.

<At the school>

"Okay! Class, what is five times five?" The teacher asked.

"Knux, whats the an-" Sonic was about to ask Knuckles when a certain feminine voice caught his attention.

"Twenty-Five!" Sonic looked at the source, and it was love-at-first-sight.

"Thats correct, Sally!" The teacher applauded Sally's answer.

"Well, looks like the "Princess" beat us to it, huh, Sonic?" Knuckles was looking at the teacher, completely oblivious to the infatuated hedgehog next to him.

"She's beautiful..." Sonic had hearts in his eyes, he felt like he was on Cloud Nine.

"Sonic?" Sonic was completely unaware of Knuckles in front of him, as well as the teacher who was staring at him, and the entire class that was giggling at him, and Sally who was blushing slightly.

"Sonic?...Sonic...SONIC!!!!" The teacher finally snapped Sonic out of his love-stricken state.

"Huh? Where am I?!" Sonic lept out of his chair and sped out of the school. The whole class giggled at this, and Sally was left blushing, and even giggling herself.

"Sonic!" Knuckles called out for Sonic, but he had already left the building before Knuckles even got out of his seat.

<At Sonic's home>

"Oh, Sonic, honey, you shouldn't let those kids laughter get the best of you! You like someone, and you should be proud of that!" Felicia said to her crying son.

"But, what-what if-she-she-she-she doesn't like me??!" Sonic said, sobbing all over his mothers shirt.

"If she doesn't, then you just need to move on! Thats the way it always works!" Felicia said, giving her son's head a good rub.

"You're right...I can't pout like htis! I need to go back, and face them like a man!" Sonic said, full of determination.

"Now, get back to school!" Felicia didn't even finish the sentence and Sonic was already out the door.

<Near the school>

"Man! I can't believe how stupid I was to do that! Well, I won't let them get me again!" Sonic said, running full speed to the school.

Sonic was near the school gate, when he saw something that would change his life, forever.

"Hey! Whats that machine doing at the school?" Sonic stopped dead in his tracks, marveling at the spectacle.

"HELP!!!" The cry of Sally could be heard from the area of the robot.

"Sally!" Sonic ran full speed to the sounds source, and saw that robot holding a suspended Sally in the air.

"Now, where is your father?!" A man of about thirty or so demanded of Sally.

"Whats it to you?!" Sally was screaming for help, but that machine was too big for anyone to handle.

"Hey! Put her down, now!" Sonic called out to the huge machine.

"Huh?!" The mysterious man, annoyed at this interruption, tried to knock Sonic away, but he missed.

"Hey!! Whats your problem!?" Sonic yelled at the chubby man in the cockpit.

"My name is Dr. Robotnick! However, I am also known as Dr. Eggman! The greatest scientific mind in the world! Now! I have business to get back to! Why don't you just run on home to your mommy and ask her for some milk?" Eggman laughed at the furious hedgehog below him.

"You'll pay for that!" Sonic ran at the machine with blinding speed, knocking it off balance, and the robots arm dropped Sally high in the air.

"No!" Knuckles cried out.

"Sally!"Sonic lept in the air, and grabbed Sally before she hit the ground.

"Curses!! You haven't seen the last of me, hedgehog!" Eggman roared as he retreated far from the school.

"Th-th-thank you." Sally said meekly to a blushing hedgehog.

"You-you-your-your welcome." Sonic also noticed that Sally was blushing, and wondered what it meant.

"That was really brave of you, Sonic!" Knuckles gave Sonic a slap on the back, causing Sonic to nearly fall down.

"Hey!" Sonic glared at the laughing Echidna.

"Hey, just kidding!" Knuckles laughed, giving Sonic another slap mon the back.

"Well, thank you, Sonic, I probably wouldn't be here if you hadn't saved me!" Sally was blsuhing a beautiful crimson red from seeing Sonics young body, still reaching its potential.

Sally then walked up to Sonic and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Sonic blushed where she kissed him, and, not unnoticed by the rest of the class, he was sweating slightly!

"Sonic's got a girlfriend!" A student started chanting, which got the entire class to start chanting it as well.

Sonic, needless to say, was getting upset, but then he remembered what his mom told him to do in situations like this.

"Well, I guess my guess was right..." Sonic said before heading back into the school.
