Note: This story takes place immediately after the last chapter of "Brainwashed" (You might want to read "Brainwashed" first if you haven't already done so: the story will make much more sense if you do)

"?!" Michael and the others noticed Sonic's hand move.

"Sonic!!" Tails said joyfully as Sonic's eyes began to flutter open.

"Hu-hu-huh...? W...w-here...am I?" Sonic was woozy from his ordeal, unaware of where he was.

"You're home, dad, you're home!" Michael had tears welling up in his eyes; his dad was had finally awoken from his coma (which had lasted a good month or two).

"Michael..." Sonic had tears welling up in his eyes as well and gave his son a hug.

"I'm glad you're back!!" Michael said through crying.

"Its good to be back." Sonic replied, still embracing his son.

Amy had been crying too, but out of happiness for Sonic; that he was back and that everything was going to be alright.

"Sonic!" Amy finally couldn't contain her emotions as she gave Sonic a big kiss on the lips; Sonic was taken aback by this and stopped hugging his son.

"Amy, are you ok?" Sonic said with much concern in his voice; Amy was his girlfriend, and he wanted to make sure she was alright after her long ordeal.

"Yeah, I'm fine...now that you're back." Amy said happily, giving Sonic a wink.

"Glad you're back Sonic!" Knuckles gave Sonic a punch on the shoulder, making Sonic wince a bit but not much. Knuckles was just kidding and he knew it.

"We better go tell the doctors you're awake, now." said Tails, who was accomponied by Amy, and went to get a doctor to report the news.

"Wow...so much has happened." said Michael, giving his dad the characteristic "Sonic grin".

"I know..." was all that Sonic could say in response.

Meanwhile, Tails and Amy were hurrying back to Sonic's room, trying to avoid the stampede following them.

"Take cover!" Tails rushed in the room, giving the warning just in time as the room filled up with doctors, astounded to see Sonic awake.

The doctors were all chatting in jibberish, and Sonic couldn't understand a word they were saying.

"Um, excuse me?" Amy tugged at one of the doctors coat sleeves, getting his attention. "I don't think Sonic appreciates these crowded conditions" Amy said plainly, getting a nod from the doctor, who instructed the others out of the room.

"Man...ever seen so many doctors before?" Tails said, thankful that they had left the room.

"Never." Sonic said plainly with a little bit of sarcasim in his voice.

One of the doctors went back in the room and gave Sonic a thorough examination, checking his heart rate, blood pressure, appearence (basically, the doctor gave Sonic a physical).

"Mmmm hmmm...mmmmm hmm!" was the only thing the doctor said, which really pissed Michael and the others off, as they wanted to know if there was anything wrong with Sonic.

"Well, is he ok?!" Michael finally shouted out, getting the doctors attention.

"Just checking for anything." the doctor said and simply returned to examining Sonic.

"I hope this don't take long..." Amy said as she sat down in a chair, hoping they would be leaving soon; hospitals were very depressing places to Amy, she didn't want to stay long.

Fortunetely, the doctor finished the examination five minutes later, much to Michaels' and the others' approval.

"Well, Sonic is perfectly fine, he shows no signs of illness or diseases! He may leave the hospital right now." the doctor said, grabbing his clipboard and jotting down a few things.

"Yay! We can leave!" Amy jumped for joy.

Sonic got off the bed and walked out of the room, free from that "cell" finally.

"Well, now that you're back, what should we do?" Tails said, eager to know what the hedgehog had in mind.

"I don't know...I was thinking of getting a chili-dog." Sonic said with a bit of laughter.

"Can we just go home?" said Michael, clinging to his dads arm.

"Sure...we can go home." Sonic said smoothly.

"Yay!" Amy shouted as they left the hospital, and each left for Sonic's house in their own unique fashion.

Amy drove in her car (she can't run nearly as fast as Sonic or even Tails), Michael ran home (which didn't take long being faster then Sonic), Tails flew home (of course), Knuckles...(ok, I can't think of something...), and Sonic had ridden home with Amy.

"Glad to see you're back." Amy said happily.

"Stop here for a minute..." Sonic said, his voice a little confusing to Amy.

"Sure...why?" Amy stopped where Sonic told her to, which was near the hospital.

"I...I-I want to ask you something..." Sonic said with nervousness in his voice.

"What is it, Sonic?" Amy looked concerned, but her expression changed dramatically when she saw Sonic pull something out of his pocket.

"Amy..." Sonic pulled out a small box, which was made out of fine blue leather, and about the size of wallet.

"!" Amy reacted when she saw the contents of the box.

"...will you marry me?"
