Chapter 3- The dating place

Ohm and Shadow headed to the Live and Love dating agency in town. They eventually arrived at it. It was a medium sized white building with a giant pink heart on the roof with the words "Valentine's Day special!" written on it. Ohm said to Shadow "This is where you go alone. Go find someone. I'm starving; I'll be at the burger place. Good luck!" "But-"before Shadow could finish his sentence Ohm was already at the Burger Palace. Shadow shook his head, took a deep breath, and headed inside.

As soon as Shadow walked in a bunch of fangirls screamed. "Oh my god! It's Shadow!" one of them yelled. That caused all the girls in the store to turn around and scream when they saw Shadow. A red walrus had to come and stop them from tearing the black hedgehog apart. "Okay, break it up" he said. "Nothing to see here!" Disappointed, the fangirls headed out of the store or continued what they were doing.

"Sorry about that!" said the walrus. "I'm Roy by the way!" "Pleased to meet you Roy." said Shadow. "I am Shadow, and I'm looking for a date." "Well, you've come to the right place!" said Roy. "How do I find a date?" asked Shadow. "Well to start out you pay me $10 for the service!" replied Roy. Shadow handed him $10. Roy said "I'll be right back. Don't move!" The walrus waddled into a room and minutes later he was back with a stack of videos in his hands.

"Ok" he said. "Watch these movies. They each describe a girl's personality, interests, and stuff like that. If you don't find a girl you like, bring these back and I'll give you more. You're bound to find somebody as it's our policy! Tell us the girl you like and we will call her and tell her to meet you at your house! Oh yeah, we'll need your address." "34 Hutchinson Street" said Shadow. "Right" said Roy. He handed Shadow the stack of videos. "Here you are and good luck!" "Thanks a lot!" replied Shadow. Ohm walked in the store and saw Shadow. "Hey dude." he said. "Find a girl yet?" "Nope" said Shadow. "I've gotta watch these videos!" "Well let's watch them already! Valentine's Day is in 4 days and you may not just find a girlfriend in just 1 hour dude!" "Right" said Shadow. The two hedgehogs left and headed for Ohm's house. When they got there the two hedgehogs jumped on the couch and put the first movie into the VCR.

The movie showed a pink fox saying "Hi, my name is Emyra. I enjoy long walks on the beach. I also like to play soccer and do romantic things." "Oh, ho ho!" laughed Ohm. Shadow smacked him, causing him to shut up, and continued watching the movie. "She is nice" said Shadow. "But I'm gonna watch the others." He took out Emyra's tape and put another in. this time it showed a light brown bat. "Hello there. My name is Jewel. Choose me as your girl because I can do male things while still remaining sexy and sophisticated." "See" said Shadow. "This girl is even better!" Ohm was still rubbing the spot where Shadow had hit him. "Damn, you can hit hard dude."

Shadow rolled his eyes and put the next tape in. This one starred a black hedgehog with hazelnut eyes and pink tips on her quills. This caught Shadow's attention. Ohm saw this too and said "Wow, she's just like you but a girl." "Don't forget the eyes, quills, and perfect figure!" said Shadow. "Quiet, she's saying something." said Ohm. "Hi, my name is Krystal but my nickname is Phantom. I am a good choice for your girl because of the many talents and qualities I posses. I enjoy romantic things, playing various sports, and goofing off yet I am always focused at the task at hand. My most appealing ability is my power to cope with loss. A while ago my good friend Maria died in a car crash yet I have realized that she would want me as well as the rest of the world to be happy. So think about and pick me as your girl." Ohm took tape out of the VCR and said "What do you think?" Shadow was surprised. "She's just like me in almost every aspect. She has also lost a friend named Maria just like me! Plus she's hot! It's like we were destined for each other. I've made my choice Ohm! I want Krystal!" "Ok! But you can go get her because I'm hungry!" Shadow fell over and groaned "You're always hungry idiot! Aw forget it, I'm going. I'll be back in a little bit." He grabbed the videos and headed out the door "Sure, later" said Ohm. Amp walked in the room. She went up to Ohm and kissed him. "Hey sweetie what's up?" she said. "Shadow has found the perfect girl. It's amazing. They're just like each other!" "Really?" asked Amp "That's so awesome. I'm happy for Shadow!" "Great, now it's time for phase two! We help Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, and Rouge!" said Ohm. "Wait a second" said Amp. "Why are you so concerned about those guys? You're acting very sensitive." "Wait, you don't like it?" asked Ohm. "No way!" said Amp. "It's a great change!" "ALL RIGHT!" said Ohm. `I'm not good. I'm amazing!' he thought to himself.

Shadow ran down to Live and Love. He burst through the door and ran up to Roy and said "I found a girl! I found a girl!" "Cool!" said Roy. "Who is it?" "It's Krystal!" "Yeah she's a friend of mine. Anyway tomorrow at 4:00 pm your girl will be at your house on 34 Hutchinson Street!" "Excellent!" said Shadow. He headed out the store and on the way out he yelled "Thanks Roy!" "No problem Shadow!" replied the red walrus. Shadow ran to Ohm's as fast as he could. He was so happy. Nothing could ruin his day.

He reached Ohm's home and opened the door. As soon as he did Amp ran up to him and hugged him so hard he fell over. "Oh, I knew you could do it!" she said with a big grin on her face. "Yeah thanks Amp. But could you please get off me. You're crushing my lungs!" replied Shadow. "Oops! Sorry Shadow!" said Amp. She got off him and Shadow stood up clutching his chest. "Wow! Ohm how do you put up with her on top of you! She weighs a lot." Smack! Amp slapped him hard across his face. "You never make fun of a woman's weight!" She growled. "Smooth Shadow" said Ohm. "Don't pull that in front of Krystal!" "Ow, you're right. Sorry Amp." "It's cool Shadow." said Amp. "But you gotta work on your charm!" "Yeah" said Ohm. "You want her out of your head and into your bed!" Ohm and Amp laughed hard, causing Shadow to blush. "Oh crap! How DO I get things serious?" he yelled. "Well play it cool, trust me I'll tell you and Sonic, Tails, and Knux all my tips tomorrow! Besides Amp is gonna tell the girls the same so it will be mutual!" "Really?" asked Shadow. "Of course." said Amp. "You're our friend dude!" said Ohm. "Thanks guys" said Shadow. "So what do you want to do now?" "Well Ohm and I have some `business' to do!" said Amp. "What?" asked Ohm. He thought about it for a minute and then he realized what she was talking about. "Oh yeah!" he said. Shadow smiled and said "Go ahead. I'm gonna see what the guys are up to. Sonic and I can race or something." "Sure dude!" Ohm as he was carrying Amp upstairs. "Yeah, bye!" said Shadow. "Later!" yelled Ohm from upstairs.

Shadow tied up his shoes and headed out. On his way out he heard the water from the bathtub being turned on. `Ohm' he thought to himself, `Why do you wanna take a bath if Amp wants you for something?! God, what an idiot!' Shadow smiled to himself and ran to the Mystic Ruins.
