Prelude: What to do, what to wear, and who to see?

Amy Rose had just sat down to enjoy her favorite show, "Fear Factor" (she always had a thing for going on scary dares. She had conquered her acrophobia by being on the ARK, and had wanted to go on Fear Factor so she could have a little money in the bank.) when she heard a knock at the door.

"God dammit…I just sit down to watch Fear Factor, and now this. If it's one of those god damned Christmas carolers I'll -- " She stopped talking to herself as she opened the door and found a familiar orange echidna standing there, in all of her glory.

Amy Rose blushed, not only at the fact that Tikal was nude, but at the fact that here she was, standing at her door, when she had just been thinking about her.

"H-Hi…" was all that Amy could say, at the unclad echidna standing before her.

"Well, aren't you going to let me in?" Tikal cut in. Amy could feel, almost hear Tikal tapping her foot, saying "I'm waaaaaaaaiting…" a la Sonic.

"Sure…I'm sorry…" Amy said apologetically, getting out of the way of her guest.

"Nice house! Anyone else live here?" quipped Tikal, almost covetingly.

"No, unfortunately…" Amy said, sighing. [Stupid god damned motherfucking gay hedgehog! I was meaning to marry him before I knew he was a rump raider!] she thought to herself. "but you can sleep here for tonight, if you need to."

"Really? Seriously?" Tikal asked, a sparkle filling her eyes. Amy smiled and nodded, blushing at how Tikal was still clothesless.

"But first, we need to have you put on some clothing." Amy said, nearly revealing her true intentions. Fortunately, Tikal didn't seem to notice the undertone of the hedgehog's words.

[Good, now I can get away from that gay echidna! Knuckles, feh! He can go fuck a tree, or better yet, Sonic for all I care! He probably didn't want to be with me anyway, the bum!] The ex-protector of the Master Emerald thought to herself, scowling.

"Anything wrong, Tikal-chan?" asked Ms. Rose, waving her hand in front of Tikal's face. "Mobius to Tikal! Come in, Tikal!"

"Wha-wha…Oh, I'm sorry! I must have slipped off in thought!" said Tikal, embarrassed. She blushed and put her hand behind her head and sweatdropped. (A/N: If you watch anime, you should know what this emotion is.)

"Well, it's almost bedtime…too bad Fear Factor is over, I wanted to watch Robotnik squirm for the worms…if he even made it to the second round!" Amy said, with a revengeful fire in her eyes.

[Remind me never to piss her off…] Tikal thought. She then picked up a blue nightie with SD (A/N: Super Deformed. If you didn't know that, you should be shot.) Sonics on them and put them on.

"You can wear those, they fit you perfectly! I knew they could fit someone else! I got those from my aunt Thorn." Amy said, happy that the nightie fit Tikal, but saddened that she had to disappoint poor Thorn like that. "Well, goodnight!" Amy said, before planting a kiss onto Tikal's lips…

Tikal didn't know what to do. Storm out, or kiss Amy back? She looked both confused and happy at the same time as she thought about the decision while lying on the couch for the night.

This fic took me 23 minutes to whip up, out of sheer fatigue and tiredness at 2:30 in the morning.
