IN THE MOONLIGHT

Authors note: Hello! This is my first lemon! ^_^ And it's a yaoi one at that! O.o

I try not to be too graphic, so don't worry!

Please read and review, I want to know what people think of my lemon making skills!

Don't expect anything too brilliant, I just wanted to prove to myself that I could write a lemon.

Now, onto the story….

Moonlight…some people say that it is a romantic, magical thing, but to me, it is sad, because it just makes me think of him.

I wonder if I could have done anything to save him, the others all said that nothing could be done, but I don't know…

We had a small funeral for him, even though there was no body to bury, I think a small part of me believes that he is still alive.

But if he is, then why hasn't he come back, doesn't he know how much he…how much he means to me…?

It's been a month since he died and everyone except me seems to have forgotten about him and carried on with their lives.

Tails went back to the Mystic ruins to work on a new version of that plane of his, Knuckles restore the Master Emerald and went back to Angel island, hehe, and I think Rouge went with him.

Amy is still chasing me around, I wonder how I can get it through her head that I just don't feel that way about her?

And Eggman seemed to be quiet for awhile, but then he went strait back to his old tricks, I knew we couldn't trust him.

But me, I, I, I just can't get over it, I don't know why, I only knew him for a couple of days.

But when we both turned Super, and shared the Chaos energy…it was amazing, it felt like he was a part of me, like we were moving in one fluid motion…together.

Maybe that's why I can't forget about him, or maybe love at first sight is true.

I just want to know if he's alive or not, just to have that question answered, then I could forgive myself.

….I wish that I could see Shadow again…

…….

Well, I think I'm going to go to sleep now, maybe I'll feel better in the morning….

Goodnight…

Sonic put down his pen and closed his diary and stood up.

" Why did I say goodnight to it?" he muttered to himself as he put the diary on a shelf and sat down on his bed.

He look down at his hand and saw Shadow's gold bracelet on his wrist.

" I didn't even notice I'd been wearing it, I wonder how long I have been anyway…"

Sighing, he took it off and placed it in the little case on his nightstand.

" It's all I have left of him…." Sonic sighed sadly, taking off his shoes and gloves, and laying down on the bed.

He pulled the covers up to his chin and rolled over so that he was facing the window, the moonlight still shone through the thin curtains, right onto his bed.

Sonic sighed to himself again and closed his eyes trying to block out the pale white light.

" Shadow…" he murmured softly, as he slowly went to sleep.

A noise suddenly caused Sonic to wake up, he blinked a couple of times and glanced up at the window, a puzzled look coming to his face.

He couldn't have been asleep for that long, because the moonlight was still shining in brightly through the window

But now, for some reason the curtains were waving around too, flapping around so quickly you'd have thought there was a gale going on.

Sonic felt fear began to grip him, he scrunched his eyes closed tightly and tried to calm his racing heartbeat.

" Why are the curtains moving, I don't have a window open or a fan on…how can they be moving on their own…what's going on?" he whispered quickly to himself, trying not to panic.

Sonic froze as he felt a rush of air go past him, and then it all stopped.

The curtains were still again and everything went quiet.

" Sonic…Sonikku?" a voice suddenly whispered in his ear.

Sonic leaped up and his eyes jolted open, and spun round, and came face to face with him.

" Shadow…" Sonic breathed.

The black Hedgehog sitting next to him smiled and nodded slightly.

Sonic's jaw dropped and stared at Shadow in shock.

" But Shadow….how can you be here? Are you alive or…are you a ghost?"

Shadow continued to smile sadly at him and shook his head.

" I'm sorry Sonikku, I can't answer that"

" But what happen after you fell from the ARK?"

" ……I don't know, I wish I could tell you…but I just don't know"

Sonic stretched his hand out and placed it on the white fur of Shadow's chest, it felt soft and warm under his fingers.

He can't be a ghost, thought Sonic, I wouldn't be able to touch him if he was.

Sonic suddenly realised his hand was still on Shadow's chest, and he quickly drew his hand back, blushing.

Sonic noticed that Shadow was now glancing over his shoulder at the nightstand, or more importantly, at what was on the nightstand.

" I see you kept my bracelet" said Shadow.

Sonic turned round and picked the bracelet up, and handed it to Shadow.

" Do you want it back?" asked Sonic.

Shadow laughed softly, " No, I don't really think I'd need it"

He then paused, put the bracelet down on the bed, and pulled off his gloves.

" There is something interesting about these bracelets that you probably don't know, Sonikku" Shadow said, pulling a small piece of metal from inside of one of his gloves.

He then picked up the bracelet again and began scraping the metal over it.

Sonic watched him curiously, " What are you doing?" he asked.

" Ah, wait and see"

Shadow put the metal back in his glove and held the bracelet up again, grinning at Sonic.

" I was carving something into the bracelet, an inscription if you will" explained Shadow "It's said that you can carve words into these bracelets, because their some sort of special ones, and the words will only show up if you hold them in the moonlight, of course I've never actually tried, so I don't know if it's true"

Shadow switched on the lamp that was on the nightstand on his side of the bed.

"Look" He said, grabbing Sonic's arm and pulling him over to his side, near the nightstand, practically on top of Shadow..

" I hold the bracelet under this lamp…and nothing shows up"

Turning himself and Sonic around, him placed the bracelet in the pool of moonlight in the middle of the bed.

" In the moonlight, the words show up!"

Sonic peered down at the bracelet in surprise, it read 'For my Sonikku'

Sonic turned round and look at the still smiling Shadow, and felt a rush of emotions go through him.

He'd never felt so touched, and he couldn't believe Shadow was right here! Sitting next to him…

Sonic looked at Shadow for a moment longer before throwing his arms around him and hugging him tightly and burying his face in Shadow's neck.

" Oh Shadow, I've missed you so much!" he cried into his neck.

Shadow hugged him back and nuzzled the top of Sonic's head warmly.

" I know, I've missed you too…"

They stayed there like that for a few minuets before Sonic moved his head back and looked up at Shadow, tears glistening in his eyes.

" But, this is all probably a dream…your not really here…you'll probably be gone again tomorrow …and then-"

Shadow placed a finger to Sonic's lips, hushing him.

" It doesn't matter if I'm gone tomorrow, Sonikku… It doesn't matter if I stay with you forever, all that matters is tonight, I'm here with you, tonight we are Together…..because tonight may be all we have…so let's make the most of it…"

And then Shadow leaned down and kissed him softly on the lips.

Sonic's eyes widened slightly, and then they began to slide shut as he relaxed, and started to kiss Shadow back.

After a moment they drew back for air, panting softly.

Shadow pulled off his shoes and sat down on the bed properly, he picked up the bracelet and put it on Sonic's wrist.

" For you, for Sapphire Tenshi…" he breathed into Sonic's ear, and the sapphire coloured Hedgehog shivered slightly as Shadow lightly began to lick the fur just beneath his ear.

" Shadow…" he gasped, falling back onto the bed, and pulling Shadow down on top of him, who was still licking him, but had now moved down to his neck.

Sonic moaned lightly and reflexively thrust up against the Hedgehog on top of him.

Shadow paused for a second and then grinned wickedly, " Oh, now I can tell that you really are happy to see me!" he smirked into Sonic's neck.

Sonic blushed brightly, " Well, er, so are you!" he argued.

" Well that's true enough…" agreed Shadow, moving back up to kiss him again.

Shadow ran his tongue along Sonic's teeth , the other Hedgehog opened his mouth and their tongues began to wrestle inside Sonic's mouth.

As they continued to kiss passionately, Sonic started to move his hands down Shadow's back, resting on his hips, he pulled Shadow down, closer towards him, grinding their erections together.

Shadow gasped loudly, accidentally closing his mouth, and biting down on Sonic's tongue.

" Owww!" yelped Sonic, quickly pulling his mouth away from Shadow's, and holding a hand to his mouth.

Shadow started to giggle, " Sorry" he sniggered.

" Well I hope your happy, now my tongues too injured to do anything, and I could do some pretty interesting things with it" muttered Sonic.

" Oh really, and just who did you practice on to find that out?" Shadow asked, suddenly looking a little jealous.

" Um, well, no-one actually" admitted Sonic, sheepishly, " I just though it sounded good"

Shadow grinned a little, but then suddenly looked serious, " You know, Sonikku, if that hurt you too much then maybe we should just stop now…"

Sonic had quickly began shaking his head, " No Shadow, we've gone too far to just stop now, as you said, if we only have tonight together, then we'd better make the most of it"

" Ok then, if your sure"

" I am, Shadow i…Aishiteru"

Shadow look at Sonic in shock, " Sonikku, I, er, um, aishiteru too"

Sonic leaned up and began to kiss Shadow again as Shadow got into position.

" I'm sorry if I hurt you Sonikku" Shadow said quietly as he pushed into Sonic, trying to be as gentle as possible.

Sonic gulped and bit his lip, trying not to cry out in pain.

Shadow stayed still as he waited for Sonic to relax.

" Please Shadow…." Sonic cried softly.

" Oh…Sonikku…" Shadow groaned as he started to thrust in and out.

It only took a few minuets before Sonic let out a loud moan and came, and not long after, Shadow did too.

Shadow rolled off Sonic and laid down next to Sonic, the black Hedgehog then wrapped his arms around him and held him close.

" Shadow, I don't want this night to end…"

" I know Sonikku, but it has to sometime..."

The two Hedgehogs kissed each other once more, before they began to close their eyes and sleep.

" Goodnight Sonikku…"

" Goodnight Shadow…"

Sonic opened his eyes, it was silent again.

" Shadow?" he called.

But he got no reply.

His ears drooped as he looked around and saw that everything was still in it's place, and the bracelet was back on the nightstand.

" Who am I kidding, of course it was a dream…" he sighed sadly, starting to feel tears prickle at his eyes, he glanced over at the clock.

" Too early" he moaned, " It'll be getting light soon"

He yawned and felt himself become sleepy.

Lying back down, he closed his eyes, and went back to sleep.

And just after he fell asleep the last few shards of moonlight shone on the bracelet, and it's

moonlit message was there for anyone to see.

But sadly, Sonic was too late to see it…

The end

Wow, that ended more depressing then i meant it too...
