Mikey B23 out!!!!!.......................

Ch. 1

The sun was slowly ebbing its way over the distant hilltops of Eagle-Eye, and the morning traffic began to show up for work and errands. Nearby, a local man found out he had hit the big time, and another found out his business had filed for bankruptcy.

The day seemed like any other: blue skys, illuminated by the beautiful rising sun, capped off with the clouds that partially covered the sun's rays, giving it a perfect appearence.

Underneath the hussle and bussle of the city, in the quiet urban area of Eagle-Eye, Michael and Tikal were eating breakfast, enjoying the new day that offered new oppurtunities for relazation and adventure.

With Professor Shingleman and his creation, Perfect Destruction out of the way, life in Eagle-Eye was more peaceful then ever before. The media gave its little rumors of new evils to come, but that was the media for ya: always trying to stir up trouble within peacefulness.

Michael got up from his chair, having just finished eating his eggs and bacon, he gave Tikal a kiss on the lips and headed off for work: Watching over the chao in the local chao daycare about three miles away.

To any normal person, three miles would seem like a long distance, but to Michael it was as short as a few seconds worth of running. When Michael arrived at the daycare, he found all the chao that had arrived early from their keepers, knwoing that at afternoon the place would be loaded with chao.

Michael also had one of his own: a chao named Sonic, he named after his dad, Sonic, he had gotten over his fathers' death, but he still missed him, despite having a loving girlfriend, and a child forthcoming, life was still empty without his father around.

"Man...although its been months since my father died, it seems like only yesterday." Michael had to keep his mind out of the gutter and keep his eyes on the chao; they were known to get into some kind of trouble, but Michael, with his quixkness, was always able to control the situation.

With some additional help from his chao, Sonic, order would quickly and easily be restored if trouble occured within the peaceful walls of the chao garden. Michael always made sure that the chao had food and always gave equal time with each chao. Working 8 hours a day at the daycare was not an easy task, but Michael made it look like he was a natural at it.

"Hey! You two! Chaolin! Champ! Quit it!" Michael ran over to break up a fight that had occured between two chao over some fruit that had fallen off a tree. The two chao looked at Michael, who had taken the fruit in his hand, and watched as he split the fruit in half so that each chao got an equal portion. They happily took the fruit and ate it all up, much to Michael's joy.

Michael sat back down and watched as Furgus, another chao, was swimming in the large pool by the trees. He always loved seeing chao swimming, it prooved just how proficient they were in doing it. Often times, Michael would have to race towards the pool and save one of the chao so that they wouldn't sink into the water. It wasn't an easy job but Michael handled it with the greatest of ease and care.

"Well, another eight hours down!" Michael handed the last chao that was at the daycare to its owner, a sweet girl hedgehog about 6 yrs old, and got a warm smile from her. The job was thankless, but he always did his best no matter what it took to take care of the chao there. His record was unblemished and he always took care of the chao there.

When Michael got back home, Tikal had prepared a meal for him and her. It was a selection of chili-dogs, spagetti, and celery. Michael always loved it when Tikal made chili-dogs, they were his favorite food (he got it from his father) and really loved it when she had just cooked them at his arrival; they were the best when fresh.

"Tikal! You know how to make them chili-dogs!" Michael said, giving Tikal a kiss on the cheek and receiving one from her as well. "Boy, what a day! Had to stop fifteen fights, had to save three chao from sinking and had to feed over 200 chao! Boy, this job aint easy, but I do it for the benefit of the chao." Michael said, preparing to eat his food as was Tikal.

"Well, I'm happy to see that you had another sucessful day, Michael. There's something I'd like to ask you after you get done..." Tikal gave Michael a warm smile and sat down to eat dinner with her boyfriend.

"Well, you can tell me now, Tikal. Whats on your mind?" Michael put his chili-dog down so that Tikal could tell him what was on her mind.

"Well, I'm trying to think of a name for our appraoching baby, Michael. I can't think of a good name for it..." Tikal said sadly.

"If its a boy, we'll call it Rick!" Michael said proudly.

"Perfect!" Tikal said happily, giving Michael a good kiss on the lips as thanks.

"No problem, Tikal. However...what if its a girl?" Michael asked.

"I was hoping you would know a name..." Tikal said as she was 8 months into her pregnancy, and was expected to enter labor within the next month or so. "The thing is, I think this baby won't wait on that next month, Michael...I can feel it moving around inside me!" Tikal said with a tear in her eye, happy that her and Michael were about to bring a new life into the world.

"Well, maybe I'll think of one during the month..." Michael suggested and got back to eating his chili-dog. Michael was eating when he saw Tikal clutching her stomach and moaning loudly. "Tikal?! Are you ok?!" Michael had to catch Tikal from falling on the floor she was in so much pain.

"I.......I think....that...the baby....is coming.....out!!!" Tikal amaged to say, whic made Michael a nervous wreck from the inside.

"O...Okay...um, shit! I wasn't expecting this...hold on! I'll carry you to the hospital!" Michael carefully picked up Tikal and gently put her around his arm. Michael took off slower then he usually did because of fear that going to fast would harm the baby, so he took it slower. About two minutes later, he arrived at Eagle-Eye Memorial Hospital.

The doctors and nurses got Tikal onto a table and started working on her delivery.

"Okay, now...push...breath deep and...push!" one of the doctors said while Michael watched intently as Tikal was trying to get her baby out. Child birth was one of the most excruciating experiences that anyone could go through, which was why Michael was glad he was a guy (no offense to you ladies). Michael watched as Tikal was breathing heavily, and he went by her side and supported her.

"Ok, honey! Keep it up, you're doing great! Keep on pushing! Thats it!!" Michael was talking to her, trying to keep her going so that the baby would come out safely.

"We got the head out! Keep breathing and pushing! You're doing fantastic, miss!" one of the nurses commented to Tikal who merely screamed in pain as the baby was coming out.

"Oh......DAMN!!!!!!!!!" Tikal was screaming as the baby got halfway out. "Would you please get the fucking baby out?!!??!?!" Tikal screamed, but had to push hard and breath heavily as the child got 3/4 out.

"Almost there!! One more push!! One, two, three! PUSH!!!!!!!!!" The doctors and nurses said at once, and Tikal gave that last push all the mustard she could give it, and the baby came out finally.

The doctors cut the cord attached to the baby and cleaned it up. They presented the baby to Tikal and Michael, who were both crying for joy that they had a baby.

"Its a girl, you ought to be proud of yourself, Tikal, you did a spectacular job!" one of the doctors commented as Tikal and Michael kissed each other, happy that they had a baby girl.

"Now, what do you think we should name her?" Michael asked Tikal.

"Well, since you can't think of one, I'm going to name her Susan!" Tikal said as Susan was crying in Tikal's arms.
