Jet sits stoic and calm on the steel floor of his cell. The misery of the other humans and animals filled the room with a depressed atmosphere.
"Why....why us...?" muttered a man two cells down.
"Face it pal! We're here till we die!" said another.
" I'd rather die than be experimented on!" added a teenaged girl.
"We need someone like Sonic." said an animal.
"Shut your traps you pathetic pukes!" yelled the entering guard.
"Here's your food for the day."
"But it only 7:30 in the morning." replied a women who had just been captured.
"Well, like the others, I think you should learn how to ration your food wisely!" the guard laughed.
Jet watched the guard set down his food, but showed no emotion.
"Aww what's wrong lil' hedgehog? You look sad." the guard mocked.
"PISS OFF!" screamed Jet.
The guard back off with a snicker.
"What the hell?" questioned a young man.
".....You can speak?"
Jet didn't answer. He simply sat in the corner of his cell looking at the ground.
"Well I guess he can't talk. He's just some freak."
"Don't start with me pee wee! Unless you want me to beat your ass, I'd stop your blabbering." replied Jet.
"HoLy CRap! You can talk!" he screeched.
"Thought only mutated animals could talk?"
"No fool. This is the year 3021. No animal looks as it did when first created. We have been around humans for so long we are picking up your traits. We're starting to evolve! Think before you speak." Jet yelled back.
"Hey! Sorry I don't know all those complex detail. Christ how am I spose to know about your race I mean ---"
" MY race?" Jet interrupted. "Idiot, the whole animal Kingdom is evolving! Not just hedgehogs! please just leave me be."
"Fine man! I say one word and I get my ear barked off. You act like your the only one whose ganna die here!" the man said.
"No, I act like this because we're not going to die. So everyone should stop complaining!
I can feel someone else's presence.. ......Someone who's power I have never felt before.
