I can't take the pain anymore. He doesn't love me like I love him. If he did he would have said something by now. He would be here with me. I can't take this pain. I can't take this suffering anymore. It has to end. No one will care if I die. No one will care if I am gone. Will they? No. I am sure that no one will miss me. Well, I guess it is time.

Tails pulled a gun out from his dresser loaded it with bullets. He put the gun in his mouth. Before he pulled the trigger Sonic came in.

"Tails your door was unlocked so I came in. Look we need to talk. This is important. OH MY GOD!"

He saw Tails sitting on his bed with a gun in his mouth. He didn't know what to do. He didn't know what to think.

"Tails what are you doing. You don't want to do this. Please, don't do this."

Tails pulled the gun out of his mouth so he could speak.

"Sonic. Why shouldn't I do this? It isn't like anyone will care if I am gone. It is just one less person to worry about in this cold world."

"Tails, There are people who will care if you are gone. There are people who will miss you. Please Tails put the gun down."

"Who will miss me? Who is gonna care?"

"I will. I will miss you the most. Tails I was thinking today, and I couldn't get my mind off you. You have been in my mind all day. Tails I love you."

Tails was shocked at what Sonic had said. He looked at the floor then looked at the blue hedgehog who was now in tears at the site of his friend with a gun in his mouth.

"Sonic, I love you too. I have always loved you since the day we met. I never realized that you felt this way."

"Please put the gun down Tails. Don't do this."

Tails thought about it. He didn't know that Sonic felt this way. What was he going to do? Tails saw his friend on his knees crying. He didn't want to hurt him. He thought no one would come over.

"Sonic?"

"Yeah."

"Will you come with me to get rid of this gun? I don't think I am going to need it anymore."

Sonic stood up with teary eyes. He was filled with relief.

"Sure thing man."

They went to a bridge and threw the gun into the river with the bullets.

"Tails, I want you to promise me that you will never try to kill yourself. I love you and I can't live without you."

"I promise."
