Chapter 1

“The view is great up here, Tails.”
“I know. I’ve wanted to take you here for weeks now.”
“An amusement park is a perfect place to relax and see the world, especially on the ferris wheel.”
“Cream, do you want to head over to the roller coaster after this?”
“Sure. Hee-hee!”
“What’s so funny?”
“I just said amusement parks were relaxing, and then you brought up the roller coaster.”
“Heh heh. Well, I guess that is a little funny, isn’t it?”
The ferris wheel stopped, and Tails and Cream got off. As they were walking along, Tails was looking around and thought he saw… himself. As he watched himself, he noticed that there was a green girl with the other him.
Who could that be, Tails wondered. I mean, I’m pretty sure that’s me, but… who’s the green girl?
“Tails?” Cream was watching Tails, who was in a daze. “Is something wrong?”
“Wha? Oh, no. Come on. We had better hurry if we want to get on the roller coaster.” Tails meant this, but he was also looking for a quick distraction. The other Tails was coming their way!
The line for the roller coaster was long, to say the least. To Tails and Cream, it seemed like it would take forever for even Sonic to run that distance.
“Oh, man. I really wanted to take you on this one,” moaned Tails.
“It’s okay, Tails. We can try again later. Maybe the line will be shorter.”
“Maybe. Hey, isn’t that Sonic?”
“I think it is. Hi, Sonic. What are you doing here?”
“Just waiting. Hey, Cream, I didn’t know you liked pistachio ice cream.”
“What are you talking about? I don’t. why would you say something like that?” asked Cream.
“Didn’t Tails just get you ice cream? And what happened to your green dress?” asked Sonic.
“Sonic, I don’t have a green dress,” said Cream.
“Yeah, and how could I have gotten Cream ice cream yet? We’ve been together the whole time, and we haven’t passed an ice cream stand all night.”
“But, I just saw you. You were headed to the ferris wheel.”
“Been there,” said Cream.
“We just got off,” said Tails. “Cream, how about another trip to the ferris wheel?”
“Man,” said Sonic after Tails and Cream left, looking at the line to the ferris wheel. “It would take me forever to run that far.”


Chapter 2

At the ferris wheel, Tails and Cream arrived just as the other Tails and the green girl were getting on.
“Well,” Tails started, “we should probably wait for those two to get off. We can get ice cream in the meantime. Sound good?”
“Yes! Ice cream sounds great right now,” said Cream. “How much time do we have?”
“We have about fifteen minutes. Then, we’ll stop those other two as they get off the ferris wheel.”
“Sounds great, Tails. Now, where’s the ice cream?”
“I’m not quite sure. Ice cream… where could it be?”
“I know,” Amy Rose said, pointing. “It’s right over there.”
“Hi, Amy,” Cream and Tails said in unison.
“What are you doing here?” Tails asked.
“I was here with Sonic, but when he checked out some signs, I went for cotton candy, and we got separated.”
“Did you have a meeting place?” asked Cream.
“Uhh… yeah, by the roller coaster. Why?”
“That’s where we last saw Sonic,” Tails said. “Maybe you should look for him there.”
“Thanks, you two, see you later,” said Amy, as she ran off.
“We have about ten minutes left,” said Tails. “That’s just enough time to get our ice cream. Let’s go, Cream!”
Eight minutes (and two ice creams) later, the ferris wheel began to slow down.
“How was your ice cream?” asked Tails.
“It was great, Tails. Thank you. Look! The ferris wheel is slowing down,” Cream exclaimed.
“Right on time, too. Now, we can meet these two. If I’m right, we already know one of them…”
“What are you talking about, Tails?”
“Hang on, Cream,” Tails said. “You’re about to find out.”
“Oka- oh my gosh! Tails-it’s… it’s… it’s you!” Cream exclaimed. “What’s going on?”
“Hi,” said the first Tails to the second. “You must be from another zone. This is Cream the Rabbit.” He then turned to the green girl. “And who are you?”
“I am Cosmo, from Planet Greengate,” said the green girl.
“She came to our planet looking for help against the Metarex, who were stealing planet eggs and trying to destroy all animal life in the galaxy,” said the second Tails.
“What’s a planet egg?” asked the first Tails.
“A planet egg is the force in a planet that sustains life, in a solid form,” said Cosmo.
“It’s an orb-like object,” continued the second Tails. “It’s power rivals that of the Chaos Emeralds.”
“Whoa…” said the first Tails. “That’s a lot of power.”
“Yeah. Hey, we should all meet up later. Say… eight o’ clock?”
Everyone nodded in agreement.
“Eight o’ clock it is then,” said the first Tails.


Chapter 3

“That was weird, wasn’t it, Tails?”
“Yeah, Cream. I guess that Tails doesn’t have to work alone any more, though.”
“Tails, were they what you were staring at earlier? You looked kind of confused at the time.”
“When?” asked Tails.
“Right after we got off of the ferris wheel. You were looking at something, but I caught your attention.”
“Oh, then. Yeah, that’s what I was looking at. I was pretty confused at the time. Hey, wait… isn’t that Eggman?”
“Yeah. I wonder what he’s doing here,” Cream said.
“Well, should we go talk to him?”
“Sure. He may be here for the same reason as us. After all, he has cotton candy.”
“Yeah. Hey, Eggman!”
“Wha? Tails? Cream? I f you think I’m here to fight, Cream, think again. You should already know this, you double-dating fox,” Eggman said angrily.
“We didn’t think you were here to fight,” Cream said. “You’re sitting down, eating cotton candy.”
“And I’m only dating Cream. If you’re talking about the green girl, you have me mixed up with another Tails.”
“Tails, I saw you with… wait, did you say another Tails?”
“Yes,” Cream answered. “We all met each other already. The green girl’s name is Cosmo, and she and the other Tails are trapped in our zone.”
“I’m going to help them get back to their zone,” Tails finished.
“Another zone, eh?” Eggman said. “Well then, I’m sorry, Tails. If there’s any way I can help them get back, just tell me.”
“Thanks, Eggman, we apprec-oof!” started Tails, who didn’t have a chance to finish. Something hit him swiftly in the side, knocking him to the ground.
“Sorry, Tails,” said Sonic, who was carrying Amy on his back. Her foot had caught Tails’ side by mistake. “I didn’t see you there.”
“It’s... okay,” Tails said as he was helped up by Cream. “Just… a mistake.”
“Hey, Tails, who was that green girl?” Amy asked.
“Yeah, did you get a chance to meet them?” continued Sonic.
“Yeah, we met them,” Tails said. “The green girl’s name is Cosmo.”
“We’re stuck in this zone,” said the other Tails as he and Cosmo walked up.
“Tails,” said the first Tails, “Eggman has volunteered to help you and Cosmo get home.”
“Eggman’s your ally here? This is kind of awkward.”
“Not usually,” replied Sonic. “But, he hasn’t attacked lately. Well, see ya. Amy and I are going to get some grub.”
“Bye, everyone,” Amy called out, still on Sonic’s back as he dashed off.
“I’m getting a little hungry, too,” the first Tails said. How about you, Cream?”
“Yeah,” Cream said. “Look, there’s a food stand right where Sonic went with Amy. It looks like they passed it.”
“All right. Let’s go, Cream. See you later, guys! And thanks again, Eggman!”


Chapter 4

“Thank you, Tails, that was great.”
“Sure thing, Cream. Today is turning out great, isn’t it?”
“It sure is,” said Cream. “I still can’t believe you ate that whole Mega-Dog.”
“I know,” said Tails, who was holding his stomach. “I don’t think I should go on the roller coaster for right now.”
“That’s okay. The line is just as long as before.”
“Yeah. Wait a second… that line’s not moving at all. I wonder what’s wrong?”
“The line’s moving, but only as fast as Knuckles.” Sonic was standing right behind Tails and Cream. “Dang it, he doesn’t even know I said that.”
“I wouldn’t be so sure about that,” Knuckles said, from what seemed like nowhere.
“Knuckles? Where are you?” asked a very confused Tails.
“I’m underground. There’s a Chaos Emerald close by.”
“Is it underground?” asked Sonic.
“I think so,” answered Knuckles. “Ah hah! Got it.”
“Y’know, there’s no admission fee to get into this place,” Tails said.
“Really?” asked Knuckles. “Watch out.” With this, Knuckles burst out of the ground. “I’d better fill that one in.”
“No kidding,” Cream said.
As Knuckles was filling in the hole (which didn’t take very long), he saw a familiar face. He walked up to Rouge.
“Hey, Knuckles,” Rouge said. “Didn’t expect to see you here.”
“I just got here,” Knuckles replied. “Um… are you hungry?”
“Now that you mention it, I am a little hungry. Why?”
“I was just wondering if you wanted some dinner company,” Knuckles said.
“Sure. It’s always better to eat with someone else, especially at carnivals. Say, what brings you here, anyway?”
“I was looking for a Chaos Emerald,” Knuckles said, holding up the red emerald.
“Well, well… I was doing the same thing,” Rouge said, holding up the white emerald.
“Where did you find that?” Knuckles asked.
“Right outside of here, ten minutes ago. Then, I decided that I might as well have some fun while I’m here.”
“So you just got here, too.”
“Yep. I found out that those games are rigged, too.”
“Yeah, that’s why I steer clear of them. I can’t even knock down all three of the bottles, and I’m stronger than anyone else around here.” Knuckles then turned to Tails. “Do you know of anywhere to eat around here?”
“Yeah, Cream and I just ate there,” Tails said, pointing to the food stand they had just come from. “And good luck with Rouge.”
“What? I was just asking her if she wanted dinner company.” Knuckles then turned back to Rouge. “Should we go?”
“Sure,” Rouge replied. “Let’s go.” With that, they left for the food stand.
“Hey, Cream, look,” Tails said, motioning toward the roller coaster.
“Hey! The line’s much shorter than it was earlier. Let’s go!” And with this, Tails and Cream started walking toward the roller coaster.
Shortly after Tails and Cream arrived at the line, Sonic and Amy ran up. None of them knew what was going to happen on the ride.


Chapter 5

“This is going to be great,” Cream said, as she, Tails, Sonic, and Amy were getting in their seats. “Don’t you think so, Tails?”
“Yeah. I heard that it goes 145 miles per hour and has a quarter-mile drop,” Tails said. “This will be fun, right?”
Everyone agreed, although Amy was having second thoughts, and this showed. Although he didn’t show it, Sonic felt uncomfortable, too. He was used to running much faster than this, but something about being strapped in made him squirm.
“Here we go, everyone!” Tails called to the others as the ride started.
“Sonic, are you sure about this?” Amy asked, looking at her date.
“No. But, we’re here. Still…” Sonic had an uneasy feeling in his stomach. He wasn’t sick, he just felt uneasy about the roller coaster. Oh well, he thought. Nothing’s going to happen. Or is it… “Amy, could you get your hammer out?”
“Why, Sonic?”
“We’re almost at the top. Having the hammer out will make me feel safer.”
“All right, Sonic, here,” Amy said, pulling out her hammer.
As they reached the top, the front wheels of their four-person car broke off. The car started to wobble.
“Amy!” Sonic shouted. “Break the restraints!” Sonic was panicking, and looked a lot like he had been thrown in the water.
When Amy broke all four restraints, Sonic and Tails sprung into action.
“Cream,” Tails said, “We need to work together.” At this point, he had already picked Cream up and was flying slowly toward the ground. “When I get tired, you need to fly until I catch my breath.”
“Okay,” Cream said. “I can do that.”
At the same time, Sonic had an idea.
“Jump!” Sonic yelled to Amy. “Use Tornado Hammer to slow your fall!”
“What abut you?”
“Don’t worry, Amy, I’ll be fine.”
Amy and Sonic jumped out at the same time. Tails and Cream flew safely to the ground, Amy floated down with Tornado Hammer, and Sonic jumped on the rail behind the car. Grinding on the rail, he slid all the way down the drop, back up a little at the bottom, and when the track turned, he fell off the track and went flying through the air. Amy yelled to him, but her words were lost before Sonic could hear them.
“Sonic’s gone, isn’t he, Tails?” Amy asked the fox. But he wasn’t listening. He was thinking.
“If he flies at that angle and velocity…” Tails muttered. Then, he started laughing.
“What’s so funny?” asked a very annoyed Amy.
“I hope he spins, for his sake,” Tails said, still laughing. “He’s headed for the circus tent.” Suddenly, Cream started laughing.
“Not you, too,” Amy said.
“I’m sorry, Amy. It’s… it’s just… think about the reactions of those people watching the show.”
Tails started laughing again. “Let’s go get Sonic.”
Inside the tent, everybody was still stunned. Sonic was apologizing to the ringmaster and declining a job as a cannonball. When he was finished talking to the ringmaster, he saw Amy rushing up to him. As he and Amy were walking out, he asked her how they knew where to find him.
“Tails figured it out. We just followed him here,” Amy said.
“Good work, Tails. You did it again,” Sonic said. “Hey, what time is it?”
Tails checked his watch. “It’s ten minutes ‘til eight. Oh, no! Cream, I said I would meet the other Tails at eight.”
“Let’s go, then,” Cream said. Tails just smiled.

Chapter 6

Tails and Cosmo were waiting at the front gate. Unfortunately, Tails and Cream went to the back gate. Both pairs were very confused.
“I wonder what’s taking so long,” said the second Tails. “Maybe they’re at the back gate.”
“Maybe. Should we check?” Cosmo asked.
“Nah. Here they come now,” Tails said. Tails and Cream were walking up.
“What took so long?” Tails asked Tails and Cream.
“We thought we were meeting at the back gate,” Cream said.
“Tails, Cosmo, you should stay at my workshop. “I have plenty of room.”
“Thanks for the offer,” the second Tails said, “but we’re staying on the Blue Typhoon.”
“What’s a Blue Typhoon?” Cream asked.
“That’s the name of Tails’ ship,” Cosmo answered. The second Tails pressed a button on his watch and a large spaceship appeared out of the clouds, hovering in the sky. He pressed another button and the X Tornado appeared from behind a bunch of trees.
“So,” the second Tails started, “what do you think?”
Cream was left speechless as she stared at the ship. Tails was impressed, too, though not as much as Cream. He knew exactly what he was capable of doing, and had been considering making something like this at one point, but hadn’t gotten around to it just yet.
“Do you need a ride?” the second Tails asked.
”I’m good,” the first Tails said, unlocking his X Tornado. “I need to fly this home anyway.”
“I’m going home the same way I got here,” Cream said. “Bye!”
“Good bye,” Cosmo said as Tails and Cream took off.
The two got to Cream’s house without a problem. “Cream,” Tails asked, “do you want to go to dinner tomorrow night?”
“I’m sorry, Tails,” Cream said sadly. “I’m having dinner with my mom tomorrow night. I promised her I would.”
“Okay, how about Tuesday night?”
“Sure. What happened to Monday?”
“I go to bed early on Mondays, remember? But, we could have breakfast together Monday morning. Does that sound good?”
“Yeah! That would be great!”
“So, I’ll see you Monday morning, then?”
“Sure! But, what’s wrong with tomorrow?”
“I’m helping the other Tails get back to his zone. You would probably be bored.”
“Oh. Okay, then. See you on Monday!”
“All right. Good night, Cream.” And, with that, Tails took off in the X Tornado.


Chapter 7

“Hey, Tails.”
“Hi. How far are you with your research?”
“I’m finished, actually. I’ve been working on it for two and a half weeks.”
“How did I not see you before?” asked the first Tails. “Don’t you have to eat?”
“I always do the shopping,” the second Tails said. “We usually stay hidden. Cosmo convinced me to go to the amusement park yesterday.”
It was Sunday morning. Tails had just gone to the Blue Typhoon.
“Hey,” said the first Tails, “do you know when Eggman is arriving?” Just after he said this, they received a transmission on the monitor.
“Tails, permission to board?” It was Eggman.
“Yeah, use the docking bay.”
Eggman landed in the docking bay where he was met by Cosmo and the second Tails. “Come on,” Cosmo said, “we are working in here.”
“I did the research already,” Tails said. “The other Tails is here, too.”
“Well, have you got any blueprints?” Eggman asked. “You will need a portal to get back to your zone.”
“I already drew blueprints and made all of the necessary calculations. We can power the portal with just one Chaos Emerald. And, the portal will be built onto the ship so the Blue Typhoon can come back with us.”
The first Tails spoke up. “These calculations only give you a thirty second window to get back.”
"I'm only using one Chaos Emerald. It's thirty seconds for each Emerald I have powering the portal."
"Well then, we should have at least two Emeralds."
"We'll have to find them, first."
"Already done," said the first Tails. "Knuckles and Rouge each have one. They'll let us borrow those, I'm sure."
"Then let's go!" said Cream, who was standing in the doorway.
"Cream? When did you get here?" asked the first Tails.
"I just got here. Knuckles and Rouge are at the Master Emerald, I think."
"Great! That helps a lot, Cream. Tails, Cosmo, Eggman, I'm going to the Floating Island. See you later!"
"Wait," Cream said. "I'm coming, too."
"All right. Come on. You guys should start on the portal."
The second Tails suddenly got a look of worry on his face. "Oh, no! I don't think I have the necessary materials to build the portal!"
"That could be a problem," the first Tails said. "Hang on. Does this ship have a light speed warp mechanism?"
"Yes, why?"
"We can use the Chaos Emeralds to use that to get you back home, but only if we can find Shadow."
"Shadow is in this zone, too?" Cosmo asked. "Where is he?"
"We don't know, Cream said. "He's usually running alone. Wait, isn't that him on the moniter?"
"Yeah," the second Tails said. "Wait, what was that blur? It looked white. Aw, whatever. Probably just dust." The second Tails then got on the intercom. "Shadow, we need your help. Could you get on the Blue Typhoon?"
Shadow yelled up. "Sure, I'll be up in a minute." When Shadow walked into the room, the second Tails started telling him the plan. "So," said Shadow, "do you have the Emeralds yet?"
"No," Tails said, "I was abou to go get them from Knuckles and Rouge." He turnde to Cream. "Let's go, Cream."
"All right," Cream said. "We'll be back soon, everyone." With that, Tails and Cream got into the X Tornado and flew off toward Angel Island.
On the way, Cream and Tsils were talking. "Do you think Knuckles and Rouge will let us use those Chaos Emeralds?" Cream asked.
"Hopefully. If not, we'll have to find two more."
On Angel Island, Tails and Cream explained the situation to Rouge and Knuckles."Tails, Cream," Knuckles started, "your plan sounds good, but are you sure it will work?"
"I hope so," Tails said. "The other Tails is making sure the calculations and other details are correct, and making sure Shadow can handle the job."
"Well, I think it sounds good," Rouge said.
"All right. I'm coming with you, though. I'm connected to the Chaos Emeralds, so if they start to get out of control, I may be able to stop them."
"And I want to see this," Rouge said. "It should be fun to watch."
"All right," Tails said, "but I need to get the spare plane. Cream, you're flying it, okay?"
"Okay, Tails," Cream said. "I can do that."
"Wait, Cream can fly planes?" Rouge asked.
"Yeah, Tails has been teaching me himself."
"She flies as well as I did when I first met Sonic," Tails added. "I even built a copy of the old plane that I helped Sonic with when he was falling out of the sky during that Doomsday event."
"Oh," Knuckles said, "you mean when I first met you and Sonic?"
"Yeah! I could teach you all how to fly planes if you wanted to learn, now that I think about it."
"I think that would be a great idea!" Cream chimed in. "You could start a flying school!"
"Hehe... well, only if you would help me, Cream," Tails said nervously. Anyway, let's get over to the Blue Typhoon!"
They all soon arrived at the Blue Typhoon. "Well, Cosmo," the second Tails said, "it looks like we're going home."
"Yes," Cosmo said, "everyone probably misses us back in our zone."
"All right, Shadow," the first Tails asked. "Are you ready?"
"Yeah, I'm ready," Shadow said. "Let's do this."
"Well, you guys," the first Tails said, "I guess this is good bye."
"It's been nice meeting you," Cream said.
"We might meet again some day," the second Tails said.
"Let's hope that we do," Cosmo said.
Everyone got off the Blue Typhoon except Tails and Cosmo. When everyone was in position, Shadow focused on the Chaos Emeralds while the Tails on the Blue Typhoon threw a switch, activating the light speed warp ring, which was now a portal to another zone. The right zone. As the second Tails piloted the Blue Typhoon into the ring, everyone else was waving. Finally, Tails and Cosmo were home.
