Samurai's Story - Prologue

A blue haired kid seemed like a blur racing across a barren desert on a highway about 70 miles per hour. His name was Sonic. This alternate dimension sent him to the human world. He was now human, but still retained his powerful burst of speed. His shirt was a dazzling yellow signifying his glorious form as Super Sonic. His hair resembled his spikes, but more full. He also wore a plain black pair of shorts. The only thing that resembled his former dimension was his pair of red white-striped shoes with power ring buckles as well as his green glowing emerald eyes. His newest weapon was a slick blade of a sword called Fight Strike. Sonic was now a handsome young man at the age of 15 speeding through the desert at his best speed yet at 142 miles per hour. His goal: the rainforests of Angel Island. He was going to see Knuckles today to give him the emerald that he had found in the desert. It was different running through the desert, because he wasn't really running. He ran to a speed about 40 miles per hour and then he starts to float. The power rings do the rest. So he was literally flying through the desert.

Robotnik had run Sonic and his team into a new dimension in hopes of getting the chaos emeralds of Planet Freedom. Instead, his wormhole creator had sucked everybody into Earth, where the chaos emeralds were ten times stronger in power. However, power rings are scarce, here, and Sonic and his friends were turned into humans still keeping their talents. Knuckles still had the ability to fight. Tails still had his ingenuity. Sonic still had his speed.

Hot wind rained sand through his clothes. The burning sand felt like nothing compared to the refreshing wind Sonic was feeling. It was two o' clock and every cactus's shadow seemed like black stars coming at him. Out into the distance he saw the mountains that he would have to pass in order to reach the depth hole, a huge hole that leads to the dark world of Anarkadia. This world was home to Anarkis, the metal dog that Robotnik created. He didn't want to go down there, so instead he would take the access transport tube up to the island above. The winding trail through the mountains was nearly 86 miles, so instead he took his own path. His legs still retained some power, so he jumped the barren cliffs one by one. Up and up he went, jumping from rock edge to rock edge. He had just come up at about 400 feet when suddenly one step came loose. He gasped out as he started falling. Withdrawing his diamond bladed sword he was able to grasp and hook onto a side of the mountain. There was no way out.

"Oh shit, I'm dead," defied Sonic. It seemed hopeless, because it wasn't his hedgehog body. He wished he wasn't human.

Suddenly overhead, a jetpack could be heard.

"Tails? Is that you?" asked Sonic, but the jetpacks still came, "Oh fuck."

Sonic looked up to find Anarkis' army. They were humans under the control of Anarkis himself. This dimension harnessed the power of humans of earth. He was no longer on Planet Freedom. He was on earth.

"<This is unit 011-Dash, I have a reading of Sonic in Anarkadian Territory! >" cried out a young marine, "<You want me to? As you wish General Anarkis>."

"This is bad…" whispered Sonic.

The decision was clear. He had to fight in the air. Sonic jumped off and started a free fall as soon as the sight of metal passed his apex. He drew out his sword from the mountain and sliced the first marine watching him helplessly scream out into the desert. Another unit arrived just in time to take a shot into Sonic's left arm. Screaming out in pain, blood gushing into the air, Sonic waved his sword once more and planted it once again into the mountain. He looked down to see the jetpack explode destroying another marine. He had fallen 100 feet before planting his sword back into the mountain. Luckily, he had fallen into a mountain step.

Once again, Sonic jumped step to step on the mountain. The warm air around him quickly turned cold and the smell of gas was smelled no more. Smoke rose from the bottom of the mountain signaling that all the jetpacks had blown up from the three opposing marines. Another army was coming when he reached the top of the mountain and the tube. Quickly Sonic sped up into the tube leading him to safety, but it wasn't over yet. A young captain of the general was standing between him and the transport dock's pulley, which would lead to beautiful Angel Island. He stood on the metal dock feeling the cold cloudless wind against his arms. His wound didn't hurt as much, but he didn't want to move it. He held it tightly.

"Another battle? Are you as weak as your other two lackeys?" asked Sonic.

"My name is Captain Armada of the Alchaten Knights of Anarkis," replied the confident captain.

Sonic knew this man well. He was behind the retreat of the once called Freedom Fighters into this strange world. It was late, and he didn't feel like fighting this guy.

"Well, listen here, friend, I really would like to stay and chat, but I'm on my way to Knuckles, so I'll talk to ya later, okay?" replied Sonic.

This said, Sonic sped past the unwary Captain.

"NOT SO FAST!!!" cried out the Captain. He drew his gun and shot Sonic in the left arm…, which was already wounded. Sonic cried out and still sped into the transport. The transfer was made and his molecules were sent to Angel Island. He stepped out of the transport and sighed. He was finally away from the captain and made it just in time, for the always-in motion, Angel Island, was about to pass the transport and lock Sonic in the desert for another three months. Same old Angel Island. Wouldn't stay in one place more than two days.

"Aack! This really is fuckin' shitty!" cried out Sonic as he collapsed on the dirt of Angel Island.

"Don't worry," said Amy, "you'll be alright."

And those were the last words Sonic heard until he fell into a deep sleep.
