Deep inside the wreckage of the Egg Carrier……….

A light flickered.

A finger moved.

A red eye turned on.

"I live……………."

A pause.

"Hedgehog…………..you….shall…di e…."

A metallic figure flow alone through the air, swiftly. It suddenly dove through the air into the city staying to the side roads and alleys searching for its target. It blew up a truck in his way and grabbed the driver out of it.

"Where does Sonic live, scum?"

"D-down the street."

It snapped the man's neck killing the driver. It suddenly stopped peering through a window looking at a blue hedgehog. It flew off into the sky just as silently as it came, without a trace…..

"I must enlist some help….."

"God damn this is lame……." Cursed a watery figure.

Chaos sat atop high rock on Angel Island, alone. He stood up and leaped down from his perch on the rocks. He landed in the jungle and kept quietly to the shadows approaching quickly to the Master Emerald's shrine. A red character sat sleeping on the Emerald. Chaos ran close to the emerald and smashed it with a single blow. When Knuckles woke up from the shockwave all he saw was a big blue fist smashing into his face. With a slight groan, he passed out. All this was needed to knock him out….

"Very good."

"Who are you?'

"Metal Sonic."

"What do you need of me?"

"Help."

"For?"

"Making that Hedgehog suffer. You know who I mean."

"That I do."

"Will you assist me?"

"No. I have nothing against him."

"Yes you do. What about your defeat in station square? How can you forget that incident?"

"Point taken."

"Your answer?"

"Whatever. Sure."

"Excellent."

"How shall we make suffer? Maim him, perhaps?"

"No, not yet. We shall take out his friends in the most horrendous ways possible."

"Who shall we take out first?"

"That two-tailed freak."

"Let's go."

Next chapter: A day at the beach quickly turns into a nightmare as Metal Sonic attacks Sonic and Co. Meanwhile, while Chaos steals a Chaos Emerald and runs into the long-thought dead Shadow…….
