Street Fighter Fan Fiction / Fan Fiction ❯ The Tiger and the Dragon ❯ Part 3 (Bonus Chapter): The Past ( Chapter 3 )
Part Three (Bonus Chapter): The Past
Note: In the Tiger and Dragon: Secrets Revamped, Ryu has a long-lost daughter named Kirina as a result of a fling with the former Shadowlaw assassin named Juli. This is how they hooked up. Basically, this is an extension of one of the chapters. Anyone who is a staunch Ryu/Chun Li supporter, you've been warned.
-Shotokan School of Karate, Sora, Japan-
It has been three days since Chun Li had left Japan for Hong Kong and Ryu was in a foul mood. This was starting to worry both Gouken and Ken.
One day, Gouken was praticing in the dojo when Ken walked in. "Master Gouken, have you seen Ryu?" he asked.
Gouken turned to his American pupil. "He went up to the castle keep earlier this morning to meditate," the elder man replied. "When I asked him about what had happened with him and Chun Li, he simply said that he didn't want to be bothered. Did Chun Li say anything to him about why she left?"
Ken shook his head. "I couldn't hear anything. All I can say is that he was very upset."
The Shotokan grandmaster folded his arms across his chest. "Hmm...go and see if Ryu is okay for me."
Ken bows and was out of the dojo in a instant. Gouken watched him leave and sighed.
***
-Suzaku Castle-
Inside the castle's courtyard, Ryu sat in the middle of the open area, legs crossed, his back to the gates. He was naked from the waist up, his gi jacket nearby, neatly folded.
He really wasn't meditating. Instead, he was reliving the events that took place three days ago.
[Note: In most fanfics, you read Ryu ditching Chun Li to pursue his training. I thought that I should reverse the roles.]
Tokyo Intenational Airport. In one of the airport terminals, a slender Chinese woman at the age of eightteen sat in a chair, her belongings at her feet, packed in several suitcases.
"Attention," the attendant behind the register said though the intercom. "Delta Airlines flight 0625, nonstop from Tokyo to Hong Kong will be boarding momentarily."
Sighing to herself, She stood up and began to gather her things.
"Chun Li!"
Chun Li looked up. Ryu was heading in her direction, followed by a short distance by his friend, Ken Masters.
Chun Li steeled herself to face Ryu. This was something she wanted to avoid. "Ryu, I--"
Ryu cut her off. "What? I come back to the dojo and Gouken told me you had packed you things and left. What happened?"
Chun Li searched for the words, but they were the wrong ones. "I have to return to Hong Kong. I'm sorry, Ryu. I'm leaving."
Ryu blinked. He was really angry. "You're sorry? You decide to ditch me and all you can say is that you're sorry? What about me? What about us? What about all the things we have been through, huh? What about that?"
Chun Li lowered her head. "I really am sorry," she whispered softly. "All I can say is that I'll miss you."
"This can't be happening," Ryu muttered in Japanese as he paced. Then he heard the attendant from the intercom.
"Attention. Flight 0625 fomn Tokyo to Hong Kong is now boarding."
Ryu looked at the attendant, then at Chun Li. He then turned and started to walk away.
Chun Li grabbed his shoulder. "Ryu--"
He pulled away as is her touch burned him. "You have a plane to catch," he stated cooly, the anger still present in his voice. With an angry stare, he said, "Have a nice flight, Miss Xiang." Again he turned and walked off.
"Ryu!" Chun Li yelled. "Ryu, wait!"
But Ryu didn't hear her. He continued to walk away, Ken following him. His body felt cold, but he felt the tears running down his face.
[End Flashback]
That was three days ago. Chun Li had left him and didn't even tell him why. When she tried to call him once she returned to Hong Kong, Ryu hung up on her. Ryu had given his heart to her, and she dumped him. Since then, Ryu was in a state of depression.
Ken came up the stairs and walked through the gate, only to be gretted with the sight of his longtime friend sitting crosslegged on the stone pathway.
Ryu, however, didn't move. "Gouken sent you up here, didn't he?"
Ken nodded. "Yeah. We're both worried about you. This isn't like you, man."
Ryu opened his eyes and feigned a small smile. Getting his jacket and belt, he slipped the jacked over his shoulders and tied his belt around his waist. Ken noted that he wasn't wearing his white headband.
Ryu's back was still to Ken. "Ken...can you do me a favor?"
"What?"
Ryu turned around. "Fight me."
Ken blinked. "What?"
"I said fight me," Ryu replied. "Do you want me to say it in Japanese?"
"Ryu--"
"I need to feel something else other than my heart breaking," Ryu continued. When Ken hesitated, Ryu shouted, "Masters, if you don't fight me here and now, then I will kick you down those goddamn stairs!"
The look on Ryu's face showed that he was serious. Having no other choice, Ken nodded and went into his fighting stance, wondering about his friend's sanity.
Ryu went into his own stance. "There is no other way, Ken," he said calmly. "Don't hold back on me."
The two fighters circled each other. Then they attacked, Ryu's fury and rage giving him an edge over Ken. The continue fighting for several minutes, trading blows. Ken realised as he was forced on the defensive, that if this match continues in the direction that it was going, then someone--mainly him--was going to get hurt.
"Shinryuken!"
Ryu was struck numerous times by Ken's Vacuum Dragon Punch. He was out like a light when he landed.
***
Back at the dojo, Ryu sat outside the balcony, which spanned the entire second floor of the cottage. He was banged up from the fight earlier, but he felt a little better, if not a whole lot.
Ken walked out on the balcony and sat down beside him. "Hey, buddy. You okay?"
Ryu shrugged his shoulders. "I guess."
"I'm really sorry," Ken apologized.
Ryu shook his head. "No. I asked you not to hold back and you didn't." He looked at his friend. "Huh? Your hair."
Ken had cut his blond hair down short to shoulder length. He grinned. "Yeah, I know. I'm surprised I did it." He held out his hand, which contained the long red strip of cloth that he used to tie his hair back. "I want you to have this. As a reminder of our friendship and our rivalry."
Ryu paused for a moment. "Is this your way of apologizing to me after you knocked me out earlier?"
"If you want to put it that way, then yes."
Ryu took the cloth. "Fine then. I accept." He looked at it for a moment before deciding on what to do with it. First, he pulled it straight. Then he wrapped it around his head and tied it.
Ken looked at Ryu and his new headband. "It could work."
***
Several days later...
Upon arriving at the dojo, Ryu and Ken sensed that something was wrong. The stench of evil was in the air. Ryu looked around. "Grandpa?" he called out.
No answer.
"Sensei Gouken?" Ken called out.
Silence.
Turning to the dojo, Ryu saw that the shoji door was literally blown open. Feeling a sense of dread, Ryu walked towards the door and entered inside.
What he saw would stay with him for the next four years.
It was Gouken. He was bloodied and sprawled on the floor.
"GOUKEN!" Ryu screamed as he rushed over to his fallen grandfather. Cradling his broken body in his arms, he saw that Gouken's injuries were fatal. Ken was in shock from the scene.
"R...ryu," Gouken whispered, the blood from his mouth staining his beard. "I'm...I'm sorry."
"Grandfather," Ryu pleaded, "save your strength. Don't speak." he turned to Ken. "Call an ambulance! CALL AN AMBULANCE!!"
Ken was on his celluar phone in an instant. As he spoke to the dispatch, Ryu held his grandfather's body in his arms.
"It...it was Akuma," Gouken croaked.
"Your brother? How?"
"He...he embraced the dark side of...(cough cough) Sho-shotokan...Dark Hadou," Gouken whispered. "Too powerful...Raging Demon...lost his humanity...demon..." He began to choke on his blood. "Can't breathe...can't breathe...can't..."
Gouken then stopped moving. His hand, which gripped Ryu's jacket, went slack.
Ryu shook him gently. "Gouken? Gouken!"
It was no use. Gouken Suzaku was dead. Cradling the fallen man's body in his arms, Ryu began to sob uncontrollably.
From his place in the dojo, Ken saw it and dropped the phone. Tears ran down his face as he watched his best friend cradle his master's dead body in his arms.
***
Shortly after Gouken's death, Ryu closed up the dojo and left it in Ken's care, packed his belongings in his worn duffel bag and started his journey.
He was going to find Akuma and avenge Gouken...or die trying.
***
Two years into his journey, Ryu had traveled all over southeastern Asia, following Akuma's trail, not to mention competing in every martial arts tournament he can find.
One of those tournaments were hosted by an rising underground syndicate called Shadowlaw, who takes interest in the fighter and unknownst to Ryu, began to track him.
One day, while traveling through Singapore, Ryu decided to settle down for the night. He had heard rumors from the people of a nearby town that a man with red hair and dressed in a black karate gi was seen nearby. After searching the area, he decided to settle down for the night.
He returned to the town and found room at the inn. On his way back, he couldn't help but to feel that he was being watched.
It was late when he was on his way back to the town following a small walk through the hills, he felt someone following him. When he reached a small clearing, he stopped and turned around. The moon was out on the clear, starless night.
'It's not Akuma,' he thought as he scanned the landscape. 'It's someone else.'
"Who's there?" he called out. "Show yourself!"
Ryu didn't have to wait long. Someone was leaning up against a tree. It was a woman. An attractive woman, wearing a black one-piece jumpsuit, which showed off the curves in her slender body, the back exposed, showing her flawless skin, and a pair of boots. Strapped to her arms were a pair of red heavy metal gauntlets.
Her long brown hair was tied into a bun, with several bangs framing her pretty face. On her head was a black garrison cap, the metal winged skull insignia prominent. She looked at Ryu with her brown eyes.
Ryu studied the woman closely. She was beautiful, but the way she was standing and the way she was looking at him meant that she had came here to fight.
The woman spoke first. "Ryu Hoshi?" Her tone was European, polite, but at the same time, held a certain amount of authority to it.
"That depends," Ryu replied, his body tensing up. "Who wants to know?"
"I am Juli. Commander of the Shadowlaw dolls," she replied, walking to him, then stopping within five feet from him. "My orders are to bring you in. My lord has sent me to find you."
Ryu has heard the name Shadowlaw before. He would have founght one of their own members, a Spainard wearing a mask and wielding a claw inside a cage match somewhere in Thailand if the authorities had not stormed the place. Fortunately, Ryu had managed to escape.
"And if I refuse?" Ryu asked.
"You should be wise to come with me," Juli warned. "No one has managed to best me in combat."
Ryu tightened his headband and slipped on his fighting gloves. "Looks like your boss is going to be disappointed." He went into a fighting stance. "If you want me to come with you, then you're gonna have to beat me."
Juli went into her combat stance. "I have no problem with that. But like I've said before, no one has yet to defeat me."
"As have I," Ryu replied going into his own stance. "Prepare yourself."
***
The two fighters were evenly matched. Punches and kicks were thrown, as well as fireballs on Ryu's behalf. Juli avoided one of Ryu's punches and caught him with her Thrust Kick. Ryu landed on his back. Juli then leapt into the air, fist poised, preparing to end this match and her mission.
Ryu rolled out of the way and jumped back to his feet, just as Juli's fist made impact where his body was at earlier. When Juli spun around, Ryu nailed her in her side, making her stagger. He then faked a kick that was aimed for her torso, and when Juli moved to block it, Ryu's fist bounced off the side of her head, which was followed by an uppercut.
Juli fell flat on her back. Ryu held his fighting stance. Slowly Juli managed to get to her feet. Even Ryu was amazed at her resolve.
Clouded by her arrogance, Juli, despite having nailed Ryu with several good shots, including her Reverse Shaft Breaker, but he didn't give up.
She cocked her hand back and with all her strength, threw it at Ryu's face. instead, Ryu blocked it with his forearm and grabbed the back of her head. Cocking his own fist back, he pondered on whether or not to knock Juli out.
"Do it," she whispered. "Finish me off."
She then closed her eyes.
Ryu's fist came down to her face...and then stopped, one inch from Juli's face.
Juli opened her eyes, and saw Ryu's fist a mere inch from her face. He then relinquished his hold on her and she fell on her back with a soft thud.
Looking at his fallen opponent for a moment, he turned and walked off, headband billowing in the breeze.
Juli watched him walk off before passing out from her injuries.

-Gen's School of Chinese Martial Arts Hong Kong, one year later...-
Inside a prestegious martial arts school in Hong Kong, Gen Lee watched as his pupils praticed inside the open courtyard, his hands inside his robe's sleeves. Even as an old man, Gen was still active.
The opening of the school's massive doors caught his attention, as well as his other students. A lone figure walked into the courtyard. He was Japanese, tanned, in his early twenties, muscular and was wearing a white sleeveless T-shirt, denim pants and tennis shoes. Wrapped around his head, was a long red headband, the ends reaching halfway down his back.
Gen walked over to the newcomer, just as the Japanese man entered the courtyard. Gen looked at the man closely. "Can I help you?" he asked.
The younger man bowed. "Grand Master Gen," he said. "It has been a long time."
Gen frowned slightly, then smiled. There was only one person he knew that would call him Grand Master. "I see the boy I knew standing as the man before me." He bowed back. "Young Hoshi. I almost didn't recognize you." He embraced Ryu like a father does to his son. He then took a step back and looked at Ryu. "Look at you. You've grown."
"Thank you, Master Gen."
"Come. We have much to talk about," Gen said as he led Ryu inside.
***
The two men were inside Gen's office, sipping lukewarm tea. "I heard that you have found Akuma in India," Gen said.
Ryu looked up. "How did you know that?"
Gen merely smiled. "I have Indian friends who run an assassin's guild outside of Calcutta. I keep in touch."
Ryu looked at his cup of tea.
"I miss Gouken too," Gen said sympathetically. "He was like a brother to me."
Ryu nodded absently.
Gen then decided to change the subject. "You know, she called me several days ago."
Ryu stiffened. He knew that Gen was talking about Chun Li.
"She's in Paris, at the Interpol headquarters, finishing her training," Gen said. "She's doing well."
Ryu was silent. Gen noticed the look on his face. "She hasn't told you, hasn't she? After three years..."
Ryu stood up and walked to the window and looked out into the courtyard, where Gen's students praticed. "Told me what? All I know is that she left Japan with so much as an explanation. And for what, just to join Interpol?"
Gen was surprised at Ryu's composure. He thought that he would be in a rage by now. Traveling for three years has done wonders for his temper. The old man stood up. "Ryu, come with me. I want to show you something."
***
Ryu was confused as why Gen had led him to a cementary not too far from the school. Gen stopped and pointed to a headstone. Puzzled, Ryu walked over to the headstone and looked at the name.
The look on his face was one of shock and disbelief as he read the name.
Dourai Xiang.
Chun Li's father.
Ryu sank to his knees. "Dourai...?"
Gen walked over and placed a hand on Ryu's shoulder, supporting him. "Her father was murdered," he said sadly. "I was the one who notified Chun Li about his death. Shortly after his funeral, she disappeared. When she called me, she said that she was in New York, completing her studies in law enforcement and criminal justice. About the same time you were fighting Akuma, she joined Interpol."
Without turning around, Ryu replied. "She's going to try and avenge her father."
"Correct."
Ryu swallowed. "Revenge...it's not worth it."
"Oh?"
"I travelled the world, perfecting my skills in preperation with my fight against Akuma. When I finally killed him, I felt no pleasure in watching him die. I was angry, filled with hate, angry for Gouken leaving me and angry at Akuma for killing him. I almost succumbed to my dark side."
"Why didn't you?"
"An Indian yoga master and a fortuneteller helped me." Ryu sighed as he stood up and turned to face Gen. "It's a long story."
Gen nodded. "I have time. Tell me when we get back to the school."
***
Back at the kung fu school, Ryu told Gen about his last three years traveling. The old man listened with interest as Ryu recalled his exploits and close calls.
"...and after I recovered in Calcutta, I went to Hawaii and found Fei there shooting a movie. He told me about a underground tournament here in Hong Kong and I decided to come here and compete," Ryu finished. "Fei also offered his old flat to me as a place to stay in."
"Then I suggest you better hurry," Gen said. "There's supposed to be a typhoon coming in later on tonight."

-A quite neighborhood, Hong Kong, later...-
Inside a small flat which belonged to Fei Long, Ryu, now dressed in nothing but his white gi pants, was meditating on the living room floor. His white jacket, black belt, and red headband rested nearby.
The flat belonged to the Hong Kong action star Fei Long, but Fei used it for his private retreat and allowed Ryu to use it while he was in Hong Kong.
Ryu opened his eyes and stood up. Grabbing his jacket he slipped it over his shoulders and secured the ends together. Then he grabbed the belt and looked at the kanji that was sewn into one end. The kanji read 'Fuurinkazan.' He remembered his and Ken's training session with Gouken as he explained the meaning of the word.
"Fuurinkazan. It means, 'To be swift like the wind, silent like the forest, aggresive like the fire, and steady like the mountain.'"
He took the belt and wrapped it around his waist. Tying it into a knot, Ryu reached for a trenchcoat and slipped it over his gi. Donning a pair of worn teeenis shoes, he walked out, heading for the underground martial arts tournament.
***
-The Dungeon-
The Dungeon: a deserted warehouse used by various elements of Hong Kong's underworld for an underground martial arts tournament. Think the Kumite from the Bloodsport movies, only more corrupted.
The competitors were hardly a challenge. Some were strong, other fast, but lacked dicipline and fell to Ryu's fists as he made his way through the tournament.
When it was Ryu's turn to fight again, he stepped into the ring. This time his opponent was a slender female. She was dressed in a black tanktop and matching cargo pants and heavy hiking boots. Her skin was the color of vanilla and her her long brown hair was tied into a bun, with several bangs framing her face. Her hands were wrapped with tape, similar to that of a kickboxer.
Ryu looked at the woman. 'She looks familiar. Where have I seen her before?'
The woman on the other hand, knew who he was. "It has been a long time, Ryu Hoshi," she said, going into her fighting stance.
'That voice,' Ryu thought as he went into his own stance. "You know me?" Ryu asked.
He got his answer in the form of a quick right jab, followed by a forward snap kick. Ryu parried the first blow, then hopped back to avoid the snap kick. Ryu came in with a roundhouse, which she ducked. When she stood back up, Ryu threw a punch to the face.
She caught it by the wrist, and threw a punch of her own. Ryu caught it as well, and the two fighters stood close, arms locked.
The woman locked eyes with Ryu's, her intense gaze matching Ryu's own. "Do you remember me now?" she asked in that same cool, let low voice.
It then hit Ryu. "You're Juli."
The woman smiled meanly. "Correct." She then headbutted him, forcing him to let go.
"Hyah!" Juli cried as she executed her flying kick, the Snipe Arrow. Ryu, now recovered from the headbutt, flipped over her and tripped her when she landed on her feet.
Juli flipped to her feet, just as Ryu was closing in. Juli executed an uppercut-like chop, which Ryu avoided. Smirking, she ducked, nailed him in the breadbasket with her foot. Again, Ryu was forced back.
"You've improved." Ryu said.
"I've had pratice," Juli replied.
Ryu went back into his stance. "This could prove quite interesting."
Juli rushed in to attack. Ryu went low and aimed a kick for her shin, followed by a hard punch. This time, it was Juli who was forced back by the blows. She had blocked them, but he had enough force behind them to force her back. Ryu, not one to waste an opportunity, grabbed a handful of her tanktop and throws her over his shoulder.
The former assassin flipped out of the throw and landed on her feet. Sometime during the match, her bun had came undone, allowing her hair to cascade down her shoulders. They were about to charge into each other when...
KA-BOOM!
SMASH!
Three dozen officers from the Hong Kong Police department, in full riot gear came rushing in and wrecking shop. Wielding batons and gas cannons, they started to arrest anyone trying to get away.
Juli and Ryu had a head start. When the cops came rushing in, they both jumped out og the ring, Juli grabbing a knapsack and Ryu donning a recently discarded trenchcoat to conceal his gi and his pair of sneakers, they both made a break for the rear exit. Three officers saw them and gave chase.
***
Ryu led Juli though the back alleyways of the pier. "Do you know where you're going?" Juli asked as they ran.
"Yeah," Ryu replied. "We're not too far from the main city." He turned around and saw the three officers chasing them. "We're gonna have to lose these cops."
***
When the three officers arrived moments later, they only found Juli waiting for them. "Where's the other one?" he demanded.
Juli shrugged her shoulders. "Don't know. We got seperated."
The lead man moved in to arrest Juli, while the other two remained behind. From the shadows, Ryu appeared behind the other two. Grabbing both their heads, he slammed them together twice, effectively knocking them out cold.
Then the third guy turned around, he saw his two comrades out cold. Raising his gun, Juli saw that this was her time to act. She kicked the gun, just as he pulled the trigger. Juli then moved behind the cop. Wrapping her hands around his waist, she lifted him and slammed him into the ground in a perfect German suplex.
Geting back to her feet, she said, "Come on, before any more show up."
***
-Downtown Hong Kong-
Once they were back in the city, they stopped running. The streets were nearly desertd, mainly because of an incoming typhoon that was supposed to hit at any moment.
"Well," Ryu said, "We're in the clear."
Juli nodded, out of breath. She then noticed the hole in his jacket. "Ryu, your arm."
Ryu looked at his arm. He inspected it, but there was no injury. "It's nothing. Bullet must have missed." He looked around. "I better get going. The storm's about to hit at any moment. See you around."
As he walked away, something dropped from inside his coat. As Ryu walked off, Juli picked up the scrap sheet of paper. It was the address of the flat that Ryu was staying in.
***
Later on, inside the sparesely-furnished flat which was owned by Fei Long and was used as his private retreat (it was his first house before he made it big as a movie star), Ryu, now dressed down in a sleevless T-shirt and a pair of sweatpants, was on the phone with the afforementioned owner of the flat.
"So did you find the tournament?" Fei asked on the other line. He was in Hawaii, shooting a movie.
"Yeah. I found it," Ryu replied. "Unfortunately, so did the police."
"I see you managed to escape."
"One must be a master of the unknown, so as not to draw attention to himself," Ryu stated. "Besides, I got lucky." He looked out the window. The rain was starting to fall. "Good thing you're not here. There's a typhoon coming in."
"Lucky me that I'm in Hawaii. How long are you going to stay at my place?"
"Until the storm blows over," Ryu replied. "Then I'm going to San Francisco to visit an old friend of mine."
"Okay. Remember to hide the key above the door when you leave and try not to wreck my place."
"Yes, Dad," Ryu replied with sarcasm in his voice before hanging up the phone.
The TV was on and Ryu caught a glimpse of the news. The weather forecaster was going on about the typhoon that had hit.
"...and the storm has hit the Kowloon area with full force," the forcaster said in Chinese. "The authoruties are expceting several flash flood warnings in various sections of the city and we have reports of power outtages in the business sector of the city..."
Knock-knock-knock.
"Huh?" Ryu turned to the front door. 'Who can that be?' He walked over to the front door and opened it. He was surprised to see Juli on the other side. She was also soaking wet.
"Juli! How did you find me?" Ryu asked.
"I'm the ex-Shadowlaw assassin, remember," Juli replied. "Tracking down one's target is a requirement." She then showed Ryu the scrap of paper he dropped earlier. "Besides, you dropped this. That made it easier for me." She then sneezed.
Not one to let a person stay out in the rain, Ryu ushered in the flat. "Come in. You need a hot bath. Bathroom's second door on the left. I'll make some tea."
***
Later on, as the typhoon raged, Ryu and Juli were both sitting at the table, sipping tea. Juli had just finished her bath and was dressed down in a white dress shirt, with a cotton haltertop underneath and a pair of matching shorts. Her damp hair was wrapped up in a towel, several strands poking out.
The two fighters were chatting with each other.
"I'm actually from Europe orignially," Juli was saying. "Germany, to be precise."
"Funny," Ryu replied. "By your accent, I thought you were at least English."
"I was raised there," Juli replied.
"So how did you...you know..."
"Get into Shadowlaw?" Juli asked. "Well, my dad was an arms dealer, and my mom was a Shadowlaw researcher. I may not look like it, but I'm a genius."
Ryu blinked. "Huh?"
Juli grinned. "I graduated from high school when I was sixteen, and got my degrees in molecular biology and physics when I was eighteen. I was hired by Shadowlaw soon afterward. When General Bison designated an all-female squad, I volunteered, out of loyalty. I went under genetic manipulation and training in martial arts. When the Shadowlaw dolls were formed, I was appointed as their commander. Then I fought against you and got kicked out when I failed in capturing you."
"Who knew?" Ryu asked.
"So what about you?"
Ryu shrugged his shoulders. "Well, My dad was half Japanese, half American, while my mom was Japanese. I was born in Japan and moved to America when I was a couple of momths old. My parents died in a car accident and I was raised by her father--my grandfather back in Japan. I used to get into many fights when I was a kid, so he taught me martial arts to try and teach me some dicipline. As you can see, it worked. So what are you going to do now that you are out of Shadowlaw?"
"I have some money saved up in several accounts that they don't know about," Juli replied. "I guess I'll lay low and start over, go straight." She stood up. "I'm going to bed. Good night, Ryu."
"Good night."
***
Ryu's eyes snapped open. He assumed a sitting position and brought a hand to his head. Once again, he had dreamt of Gouken's death.
"I'm cracking up," Ryu muttered to himself. "Get a grip, man."
It still hurt to think that his sensei was gone, but Ryu knew that dwelling in the past won't bring Gouken back. His throat was dry, Ryu turned on the lamp and reached for the glass of water he had placed on the nightstand. After quenching his thirst, he got out of the bed and looked out the window. The rain had weaken and the clouds parted slightly, allowing the moon the peek out. It was cool, so he was wearing his pair of sweatpants.
He heard the door open and close. When he turned around, Juli was standing there, leaning against the closed door. She had let down her hair, which framed her face. She had discarded the shirt, leaving her in the halter top and the shorts were gone too, leaving her in a pair of black panties.
Her eyes not leaving his, Juli slowly walked over to him, her breathing growing slightly heavy. Before Ryu said anything, Juli pressed one finger to his lips, silencing him.
"Shhh...," she whispered huskily. "I don't want to be alone. Stay with me, please."
Standing on her tiptoes (Juli is 5 feet 4 inches), Juli leaned in. Acting on instinct, Ryu lowered his head, ignoring the voices in his head telling him not to do this.
Either way, he wasn't getting any sleep.
He need to forget about his problems with the Dark Hadou, while she needed to forget about her pursuers from Shadowlaw. Better to do it with each other.
The kiss was a gentle one, Juli pressing her lips to Ryu's ever so gently. Any thoughts Ryu were having on the Dark Hadou were squashed immediately. Out of reflex, Ryu wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close. Juli's hands ran across his muscled back, tanking in the contour and shape of the mass of flesh.
Ryu may be an excellent fighter, but he couldn't resist. They met in another kiss, this time Juli slipped her tongue into Ryu's mouth as he slipped his hands inside her shirt and caressed her back, while she broke off the kiss and started to attack his neck with her lips. It wasn't before long before they were kissing again, only this time it was more heated than before.
He grabbed her and spun her around, pinning her against the wall. Juli wrapped her lithe legs around his waist as he kissed her neck, his arms holding her. The former assassin held onto him tight, sighing happily as she continued to run her hands down his back.
Juli then pulled Ryu's head away from her neck so she could look at him in the face. "Ryu, wait."
"What?"
Juli's face turned red. "This...this is my first time with a man," she said as she unwrapped her legs from around his waist.
"Oh."
"I can see it in your face that I'm not your first," she continued.
"Are you upset?" Ryu asked.
Juli shook her head. "Not really. At least you know what you're doing."
She then pulled the halterop over her head, exposing her ample chest. Quickly tossing the top aside, she crossed her arms in front of her chest, blushing furiously and turing her head to the side.
The Shotokan fighter gently, but firmly took her wrists into her hands and pulled them down. Pulling her into an embrace, she felt her chest bring mashed against Ryu's as they kissed. She wrapped one arm around his neck as they moved towards the bed, while the other was tugging at his sweatpants, which soon fell to his ankles, leaving him in his underwear.
They fell back into the bed, Ryu on top of Juli. She giggled as she felt him remove her panties and tossed them to the floor. She returned the favor by stripping him of his briefs. She felt his member resding against her shaved sex and shuddered in delight. This was definitely happening. Ryu was going to take her vigrinity.
Ryu pushed his way inside. To say that Juli was tight would be a complete understatment. Her vaginal muscles clamped down on him like a vise. It has been three years since he had sex, but Ryu fought off the urge of exploding inside of Juli.
When Juli felt Ryu enter her, she closed hey eyes and gritted her teeth. There was a little pain, and thankfully, she had broken her own hymen while training back in Shadowlaw. When Ryu buried himself inside of her, he paused for a moment, allowing him and Juli to get used to the sensations and the feel of each other. Juli was in shock that Ryu was fully inside of her. She had clearly underestimated his size. 'He said he was quarter-American,' she thought.
Ryu, on the other hand, was still getting used to the incredible tightness and hotness of Juli's sex. If she hadn't been so wet, he would have split her open. Wrapping one of her legs around his waist, Juli locked eyes with Ryu, beckoning him to continue as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
Bending down to kiss Juli, Ryu pulled back, then pushed back into her. Juli moaned then shuddered as she felt the first wave of pleasure riding over her. Her pink tongur crept out and slid across her lips as she felt her Ryu thrust into her again...and again...and again...
Juli had never felt anything like this. All she felt was pain whenever she fought. Now, she was on cloud nine as Ryu racked her spasming body with undescribable pleasure, moaning loudly and happily as Ryu increased his thrusts, his member thoroughly coated in her juices.
Juli felt the pleasure building to something unbearable. If was as if something was tightening inside of her. Her moans then turned into a scream of passionate release as she experienced her first orgasm. Ryu couldn't hold back any longer. With a grunt, he buried himself to the hilt and came as well.
It was all over within ten minutes.
Ryu rested his head on Juli's chest, panting. Juli was also trying to catch her breath as well. She had never knew that it would be so wonderful to lose her virginity. A smile was plastered on her face as she ran her fingers through the Japanese fighter's hair.
"It's been a while," Ryu breathed, "since I've been with a woman."
"I'm not complaining," Juli replied softly as she kissed him on the forehead.
Ryu grabbed her and rolled over, reversing their positions, so that he wouldn't crush the smaller woman. Juli rested her head on his chest and absently trailed her fingers against his torso, basking in the afterglow of their lovemaking as the rain started back up again.

Several hours later, Juli woke up. The typhoon was still going on strong outside as the rain continued to pelt the flat.
She looked at Ryu, who was fast asleep and smiled at the man whom she had slept with just a few short hours ago. 'He's so cute when he's asleep,' she thought. She then felt something poking at her thigh. Reaching down, she lightly grasped Ryu's member, which had regained its hardness. Ryu moaned softly in his sleep, but didin't wake up.
Juli then lowered herself down to Ryu's midsection and looked at Ryu's unit. She had never seen a man before and she had once again, underestimated Ryu. She guessed that he was six inches at the most.
Not really thinking, Juli licked the underside, tasting their mixed juices. She shuddered on the inside with the thought of sucking Ryu off, which turned her on immensely. Placing her lips over his cock, Juli began to bob her head, sucking on Ryu gently.
Ryu stirred in his sleep, then woke up to the sight of Juli at his midsection, her lips and tongue pleasuring his erect soldier. Smiling to himself, he gently placed one hand on the back of her head and stroked it, allowing himself to enjoy her affections.
Ryu felt his member starting to twitch. In a hoarse voice, he called out, "Juli."
Juli stopped at that moment. She had a feeling that the evening would end if she would continue, so she stopped and slid her way back up to Ryu, kissing his torso and chest. Snuggling close to Ryu, she smiled at him, and he smiled back.
After a moment of kissing and caressing, Juli asked, "Are you calm now?"
"Do you have to ask?"
"Since you gave so much pleasure," Juli whispered seductively as she straddled him, positioning her opening above his cock, "I think that it's only fair that I return the favor."
Grabbing him, she let ou a husky moan as she impaled herself on him, shuddering at the sensation of once again being filled. She slid up his pole, then slammed back down. Ryu held onto her hips as he groaned and grunted in pleasure at Juli's attentions.
While continuing to ride Ryu, Juli arched her back and moaned even louder, her hair flying all over the place as she grounded her hips into Ryu's before resuming her passionate bouncing. Grabbing Ryu by the shoulders, she pulled him up to her, their lips meeting in a passionate kiss, Ryu thrusting upward with his hips as he broke off the kiss and buried his face in her chest.
Juli was in a frenzy as she wrapped her legs around Ryu's waist. The tempo of the lovemaking had changed, this time it was Ryu who was screwing Juli's brains out. The former assassin's fingernails raked the Japanese martial artist's back, nearly drawing blood. Ryu kissed her jawline, until Juli grabbed a handful of his hair and yanked his head back, crushing his lips with hers in a heated kiss.
Juli then experienced her second orgasm. She let out a loud moan and her body shuddered violently as she came. Her legs threatened to snap Ryu in two as he came as well, holding Juli tight in his arms.
Juli took a moment to calm herself down. "Mmm...you're so good," she whispered as she kissed Ryu's shoulder.
They held each other, until they laid back down on the bed, Juli snuggling close to Ryu. She sighed happily as she fell asleep, Ryu following her soon afterwards.

Morning. It was still raining as Ryu woke up first. Looking at the clock, he decided to get out of the bed and take a bath. Untangling himself from Juli, he slipped out of the bed and walked into the bathroom. Drawing himself a bath, he submerged himself into the bathtub, allowing the hot waters to soothe his shore muscles.
Eyes closed, he failed to notice Juli enter the room, naked. Kneeling down to her lover, Juli pecked him on the cheek. "Is there room for one more?" she asked seductively.
Ryu complied and Juli stepped into the bathtub. Allowing herself to get used to the water, she wetted her hair and rested her body against Ryu's chest as she felt his arms wrap around her flat stomach.
The former assassin felt something poking at her back. She realize what it was in an instant. Craning her neck to face Ryu, she said, "You're hard again."
Ryu smirked. "Maybe it has something to do with a naked woman in the bathtub with me?"
Juli turned around in the tub. Cupping his face with her hands, she leaned in and kissed him gently on the lips. In the back of her mind, she was wondering if she was turning into some kind of sex-kitten.
"Ryu...I need you again," she whispered fiercely.
Like the night before, she lowered herself on him. This time, they held each other as the settled into a slow rhythm, rocking their hips in perfect unison. Juli arched her neck, eyes closed, moaning softly as she and Ryu continued to have sex, the warm water releasing steam, adding to the passion of the two lovers.
Ryu ran his fingers through her hair as he held on to her. He felt Juli's hands at the back of his head, pulling him close to her, until Ryu's head was resting against her buxom chest. He held her close as they began to speed up, slowly at first, but Juli was bouncing on him, her moanins reaching a peak, until she came, arching her back and clamping down on Ryu, forcing him into his orgasm as well.
Juli buried her head between his neck and dabbed little kisses and licks on him. She had never thought that making love to a man would be this good.
They kissed again. Then they slowly disengaged from each other, Juli letting out a whimper of protest as Ryu pulled out from her heavenly sheath. They got out of the tub and dried each other off. Then they got back in the bed, from which they stayed.

For the next two days, Ryu and Juli laid in the bed, talking about each other and of their lives, and making love. Then on the third day...
***
It was early morning when Juli woke up. She looked at the digital clock on the nightstand. It read 5:07 a.m. She looked at Ryu, who was still asleep.
She looked outside the window. The rain was slowing down, meaning the typhoon has passed the city. She smiled at the man whom she had spend the last two days with...then something came back to her mind.
Shadowlaw was still looking for her...and she had a price on her head.
Juli was then forced to make the most painful decision of her life. She dislodged herself from Ryu and stepped out of the bed. Grabbing her discarded clothes, she ran out of the room. After a few minutes, she entered the bedroom again, this time fully clothed, her backpack in her hand. Pulling out a sheet of paper, she wrote out a letter to Ryu and placed it beside him on the bed.
After placing a final kiss on his cheek, Juli was gone.
***
In the meantime, Ryu was dreaming.
He was dreaming that he was in bed with Juli, naked, underneath the covers, kissing passionately.
Ryu then felt Juli change. When he opened his eyes, he was not staring in the flushed face of the former assassin, but rather the flushed face of a Chinese girl, her hair splayed out all over the pillows.
He was looking at Chun Li.
***
Ryu woke up from his dream. He looked to the side, and found Juli gone. Only the letter remained. He picked up the sheet of paper and began to read.
'Ryu,
'Sorry for leaving you like this, but this is for the best. You have made me forget my troubles with Shadowlaw and I thank you for that. We have our own paths in life and mine is one that I must walk alone, seeing as how I am being pursued by Shadowlaw, and I don't want you involved in my past.
'You're a good man, Ryu Hoshi. Take care of yourself, for my sake.
--Juli.
P.S.
I took your gloves as a momento. Hope you don't mind.'
Ryu read the letter again. A small smile crept across his lips as he looked out the window.
The rain had stopped.
