Master Hand was ready to interview the next would-be smasher. He had a Wire Frame send her in.
She entered the room. "Hello," she said. "My name is Zelda."
"As if anyone wouldn't know about you already," said Crazy Hand.
"Well, anyway," said Master Hand, "I don't suppose you wish to tell us what brought you here."
"The same reason anyone's here," she said.
"Good answer. I can already tell I'm going to like you. Now, would you like to show off some of what you can do?"
Zelda nodded. It wasn't much they hadn't seen before, really. Just a bunch of attacks using her magic. She did teleport at one point, though, and she ended it all by slapping one of the Wire Frames. Luckily, it realized this was part of her demonstration and didn't fight back.
"Okay," said Master Hand, "You certainly have what it takes to be here. I should warn you, though, that Ganondorf has also decided to compete here."
"That's fine," she replied. "I'm certain he knows what'll happen if he tries anything."
"Yes, we did tell him. Still, I thought you'd want a heads-up."
"Is there anything else you need?"
"No, that's it. I'm letting you in. A Wire Frame will show you your room. Yeah, that one. Don't worry, that's nothing for it to carry a grudge over."
As Zelda was leaving, Crazy Hand spoke up. "When you see Sheik," he said, "could you tell him he's next?"
Zelda stopped in her tracks. She let out what sounded like an annoyed sigh. She did a quick rotation and transformed into Sheik.
"What!?" Crazy Hand exclaimed. "You're Sheik?"
"Yeah, that's a move a neglected to show off earlier," said Zelda. "My bad."
"Well, it's no wonder no one ever saw those two together."
"You'd know this already," said Master Hand, "if you'd bothered to read her file. I know about your occasional siezures, but that's no excuse for not trying."
"I should also point out," Zelda interjected, "that when I turn into Sheik I don't actually change sexes." She then returned to her original form, and left with the Wire Frame.
"That was certainly embarrassing," said Crazy Hand. "Well, at least we know we got two fighters for the price of one!"
"I also did a quick scan of her," said Master Hand, "and it's now being converted into Wire Frame data."
"So you've decided the Wire Frames shouldn't be a total sausagefest?"
"That, and having two kinds to deal with will force the fighters to put a bit more thought into their tactics."
"Yeah, that makes sense."
"Okay, onto the next interview!"
