A foul ringing noise filled Robin's ears. Slowly, he opened his eyes to see the sun was already up at its peak. Robin groggily picked up his clock and turned of his alarm. As his gaze drifted down to the time, his eyes widened. “It's already 2:00?!” Robin groaned and quickly got out of bed to put on his uniform.

 

In the kitchen, Merrick, Cyborg, Beastboy and Raven sat around wondering what had happened to the two lovers. Merrick leaned over the kitchen counter to peer down the hall. “Did anyone catch when those two went to bed last night?” Raven sighed. “They've probably got a lot of… talking to do.” Cyborg gave a smirk. “If you call kissing each other senseless talking.” Just then, the sound of footsteps filled the hall. Everyone in the kitchen went back to their breakfasts just as robin walked in. “Morning guys, sorry I overslept.” The group smiled at each other. “It's alright dude.” Replied Beastboy. “You were uhh, busy.” Robin walked over to the fridge and got out the carton of milk. “Oh, thanks for the help last night, guys.” Everyone in the room except Robin sweat dropped. Merrick looked at Robin in astonishment. “How did you…” before he could finish Robin sat down with the milk and poured it into his bowl of cereal. “I trained with Batman, for god sakes!” Merrick considered this for a moment, and then nodded in understanding. A few seconds later, the sound of a door sliding open echoed throughout the kitchen. Soon after, Starfire came floating into the room, seeming unusually happy. “Morning Star,” Greeted Robin. “How was your sleep?” “Glorious!” Chimed Starfire. “My head was full of wondrous dreams!” Starfire floated over to Robin's side. “They were all about you, Robin.” Robin turned a deep shade of red. Merrick stood up from his chair. “Well, I think now is a good a time as any.” Everyone looked at Merrick with confused faces. “For what?” asked Beastboy. “There's a bad drought all the way at the other end of the city and I promised to go help.” Everyone waited for him to continue. “It might take me awhile, maybe even a week if I go alone…” Everyone sighed, knowing all to well what would come next. “I was wondering if you guys would come with me!” Merrick looked toward Raven, Cyborg and Beastboy. Beastboy realized that the question was meant for only the three, and began to object. “Hey! Why don't, *oof*” Cyborg gave Beastboy a sharp nudge in the side with his elbow, which quickly quieted him. As the four began got up and started for the door, Robin stopped them. “Merrick,” he started. “Shouldn't we come? I mean, we could…” Merrick cut him off. “Oh no! We're fine! Their pace quickened towards the door. “We'll be back in about a day, have fun you two!” with that, the four titans exited the tower and started toward the other side of town on a cloud, leaving Robin and Starfire bewildered.

 

When they were a safe distance away from the tower, all but Beastboy lay back on the cloud and began to soak in the warm sun. Beastboy looked at the group in utter confusion. “Hey!” Beastboy shouted. “Why are we going with you to fix a drought when you control water, why do you all seem so comfortable, and why didn't Robin and Starfire need to come?” Merrick looked over at Beastboy. “Because we needed a vacation.” Beastboy looked at Merrick even more confused than he was before. “A vacation? You call curing a drought a vacation?” Merrick sighed. “Beastboy, we left to let Robin and Starfire have some alone time. There isn't a drought, and the only place we're going is the beach.” Beastboy took a few minutes to allow the information to soak in, before letting out an “Oh.” Of understanding.

 

Back at Titans Tower, Robin and Starfire finished their breakfasts. “What odd behavior of our friends.” Said Starfire between bites of her pancakes. “Yeah” agreed Robin. “It was pretty odd.” When Robin finished his breakfast, he turned to Starfire. “So, what do you want to do today, Star?” Starfire thought for a moment. “May we perhaps go to the fair?” Robin smiled at the idea. “Sure, we'll go to the fair.” Robin and Starfire put away their dishes and headed out the door. It was a nice day out, so the couple decided to walk (yes, Starfire flew Robin across the lake for all you people that are into the technical stuff). As Robin and Starfire walked down the city streets, letting the sunlight bathe over their faces. Robin turned his head to face Starfire, and couldn't help but smile. Of all the people in the world, (and on another world, for that matter) Starfire had picked him. He slowly put his arm around Starfire, and pulled her in closer to him. Starfire looked over at Robin and gave him a smile in return. “Robin, how long had you been attracted to me?” Robin blushed a little. “Err, I guess since I first met you. And how about you?” Now it was Starfire's turn to blush. “I suppose I have loved you since I first met you as well.” Robin smiled again. “I guess we were both so worried that we wouldn't like each other that we couldn't tell each other how we really felt.” Starfire's gaze fell to the ground. “I am sorry we delayed something so glorious for so long.” Robin lifted her chin up with his finger. “At least it did happen.” Starfire's sullen look quickly vanished with Robin's comforting words. “Yes, it did.” As Robin was about to pull Starfire into a kiss, she gasped. “We are here!” sure enough, the high, decorated archways of the fairgrounds loomed over them. Starfire quickly flew into the park towards the nearest ride. Robin snapped his fingers at his failed attempt and ran after her.

 

Meanwhile, the rest of the titans lazed on the shore of the beach, listening to the lapping of the waves. Merrick rolled over on his beach towel to see Raven reading her book, and Cyborg and Beastboy building a sand castle. “Damn,” sighed Raven. “I'm starting to burn again.” Merrick smirked. “Ah, so the disadvantages of being grey finally show themselves.” Raven rolled her eyes and reached for the sun block. When she finished getting her arms and legs, she put down the sun block and called over to Beastboy. “Hey Beastboy, mind getting my back?” Beastboy turned a deep shade of red. “Uhh, sure Raven, be right over.” Beastboy got up from his sand castle and started over towards Raven. A couple yards away, Merrick sat and watched the scene, shaking his head. “What you look so aggravated for?” asked Cyborg, who was walking over to get a drink from the cooler. Merrick beckoned him closer. “I just wish they could have waited until I was finished with Robin and Starfire.” Sighed Merrick. Cyborg looked at Merrick quizzically. “What are you talking about?” Merrick shot him an irritated look. “You can't tell me you haven't noticed.” “Noticed what?” Merrick pulled out a drink from the cooler for himself and opened it. “That Beastboy and Raven like each other.” Cyborg stifled back a laugh. “Beastboy and Raven? You've been in the sun to long.” Merrick smiled. “You're probably right about the sun thing, but I know I'm right about this.” Merrick pointed at the two titans. “You see the look on their faces? That's love if I've ever seen it before.” Cyborg looked at the two titans for a long while before nodding his head. “Wow, nice call Dr. Phil”. Merrick lay back down on his beach towel. “Ha ha, very funny.”

 

Back at the fair, Robin and Starfire sat in the Ferris wheel and looked into the sky. Robin's attention turned towards Starfire, who was warily scanning the sky. “What's up, Star?” Starfire took another glance at the sky before answering him. “It's just… the last time I rode this machine, the Galactic Police came to apprehend me.” Robin laughed. “Don't worry Star; I don't think that will happen again.” Starfire smiled and put her head on Robin's shoulder. “Robin, I am so happy.” Robin kissed Starfire's head. “Me too Starfire, me too.”

 

After a day of fun and romance, Robin and Starfire went back to Titans Tower and watched a movie. Robin had given in to Starfire's pleas to watch a documentary on the human body and had quickly fallen asleep. Starfire didn't notice he was asleep until the movie was over. She walked over and turned off the T.V. when she was about to turn out the light and go to bed, she remembered something she had heard in the documentary. As hard as she tried, she could not figure out what it had meant. So, she walked back over to Robin and gave him a soft nudge. “Robin? I have I question I wish to ask you.” Robin sleepily opened one eye. “What is it Star?” Starfire hesitated a short moment before continuing. “In the film, there was a function I did not know the meaning of, and I was wondering if you could explain it to me.” Robin sat up a little and rubbed his eyes. “Okay, what was it called?” “Sexual Intercourse”. You said that when two people love each other they perform sexual intercourse, correct?” Robin looked at Starfire. “Yeah, I did say that, but…” Starfire scooted even closer to Robin. “Then how do we commence?” Robin took a minute to gather his wits before continuing. “Okay, I g-guess we have to take off our clothes.” Starfire gave Robin a seductive smile. “Very well.” Without another word, Starfire began to take off her neck and wrist bracelets. Robin did not hesitate to follow suit. Soon, the couple was down to their underwear. Beastboy stood in the middle of the crowd, looking bewildered. Again. “Okaay… am I the only one REALLY confused here?” Raven looked at him. “In this rare occasion, no.” Beastboy sighed with relief. “Okay. Just checking.”
