Tenchi Muyo Fan Fiction / Weiss Kreuz Fan Fiction ❯ Strange Circumstances ❯ Chapter 2
[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
"Damn you Washu! Where are you? What happened? I know you wouldn't
stay away this late if something hadn't happened. Where's Sasami?
Where's that damned flower shop?" Ryoko asked as she scanned the
streets for Yoji's car. "There it is. Now, let's see what happened."
She descended to the ground and walked into the flower shop. She
ignored the "Closed" sign and gazed around for the men that she had
become acquainted with the night before. There was no one there.
"I'm sorry miss, but we're closed. Please come back tomorrow," an
elderly lady said and Ryoko slammed her fist on the table.
"Look lady, I want to know where Yoji is. Now tell me right now
before I get upset," Ryoko demanded.
"Yoji has gone home, I'm afraid."
"Don't give me that. I just came from his house. Something's going
on here and I want to know what's going on. I want to know where
Washu and Sasami are."
"So you were sent here? I should have known that you were the most
capable," Washu said as she appeared in the doorway.
"Washu, what? Where is Sasami? What the hell happened here?" Ryoko
demanded and Washu held up her hands.
"Hold on there girl. I think you need to see what business these
boys are REALLY in."
"What are you talking about? Look, just tell me what happened and
I'll go back and tell Tenchi. I'm only doing this for him, you know."
"Yes, but Ayeka must be extremely worried."
"She is. It's funny. Tell her the most outrageous thing that could
have happened to you two and she starts wailing like an infant."
"Well, I'm afraid that what we've become involved in is a lot more
complicated than childish pranks."
"Say what?"
"Follow me and the boys will explain it all."
********************************************
When Sasami became aware of her surroundings, she cried out in
fear. She gazed at Nagi, who stood silently watching her and stuck
out her tongue.
"He was merely following the objective," Crawford said and
Farfarello stepped out of the darkness.
"Now?" he asked as he dragged his dart down his arm.
"Not yet."
"What do you want with me?" Sasami asked as tears streamed down her
face.
"We want your strength. Why do you think you were brought to this
dimension?" Schuldrich asked.
"You'd better let me go otherwise I'll..." Sasami started to say and
Farfarello moved closer to her.
"You'll what? Face it, kid you aren't going to last long. Plus, my
patience is wearing thin," he said and Sasami glared at him.
"I don't like you."
"I don't care."
"Schuldrich, why don't you take our guest to her room?" Crawford
asked.
"Why not let Nagi do it? He's the one that took a liking to her,"
Schuldrich said and Farfarello glanced at the others.
"I'll take her to her room," he said in a mock gentle tone. Sasami
shrank back in fear and Schuldrich glanced at Crawford.
"Enough, Farfarello. Our current mission isn't to torment the
child," Crawford said as Farfarello's good eye blazed in anger.
"That time better come soon or else," he said then stormed out of
the room.
***************************************
"So you all have a dark and bloody past. So what?" Ryoko asked and
Aya glared at her.
"So what? You don't understand, do you?" he asked and Ryoko
shrugged her shoulders.
"I understand a lot. I also understand that there's no need to act
the way you're acting."
"Ryoko has a point. However, it is not our place to judge. Our goal
is to get Sasami back without too much bloodshed," Washu said.
"With Schwarz involved, I don't know how likely that request is,"
Omi said.
"We're willing to help. So you don't have to worry about her
safety," Ryoko said and Aya folded his arms.
"What can you do? You're a group of women," he said and Ken prodded
him.
"Think of the Schriendt," he said.
"You're comparing them to those four?"
"Well, aside from Mihoshi, we can do a lot of damage. Ryoko
especially."
"Hey! Was that some kind of wisecrack?" Ryoko demanded and Washu
looked at her.
Well you are pretty dangerous, she thought and Ryoko scowled.
And Ayeka's not? she demanded silently.
Just the two of you should be able to destroy the group they've been
talking about.
"Little Ryoko is quite reckless sometimes," Washu said.
"And you're not? What about all your experiments?"
"All right Ryoko. Let's get the others so we can get Sasami."
************************************************************ "Oh I wish Ryoko would hurry!" Ayeka cried as she paced back and
forth.
"Meow!" Ryo-ohki said.
"Poor Sasami and Washu. Where are they?" Mihoshi asked and began
crying.
"Would you all be quiet? I think you're overreacting just a little
bit," Tenchi said.
"Tenchi don't you care about my sister?!" Ayeka cried.
"Of course I do Ayeka, but I think you're needlessly worrying."
"I can't believe you Tenchi! You're not in the least bit concerned
about Sasami. I never knew you were so cold."
"I didn't say that Ayeka."
"Yes you did!"
"Hey guys! We're back!" Ryoko cried as she phased through the wall.
"Hi!" Washu said as she came into the room.
"M-m-miss Washu, where is Sasami?" Ayeka asked and Washu's happy
face suddenly turned serious.
"I'm afraid it doesn't look good, Ayeka. We're going to have to be
extremely careful in getting her back, all right Mihoshi?"
"Of course Miss Washu. I'll be as careful as I can be. Oops!"
Mihoshi said as she tripped over a chair leg.
"You never disappoint me, Mihoshi."
"Oh. Well, I suppose that's good. When are we leaving, Miss Washu?"
"Right now."
************************************************************
"Things are starting to fall into place," Crawford said as he pushed
up his glasses.
"Let's just get all this over with. I'm getting sick of putting up
with Farfarello," Nagi said.
"Yes, Farfarello has been waiting entirely too long now. If he isn't
given something to do, he may do something that isn't to our
objective," Schuldrich said and Crawford glanced at him.
"And how is anything less than chaos not to our objective?" he
inquired. "But, you're right. We need to set up the rest of the trap
for the Weiss. Our bait will be here shortly so Farfarello doesn't
have much longer to wait, do you?" Crawford asked as Farfarello
licked his dart.
"I have already waited too long. She will be my prey in thirty
seconds," Farfarello replied.
"No, Farfarello. Wouldn't it be more satisfying to kill off the
Weiss as well? These strangers are merely bait to lure the Weiss in.
You'll be able to kill them AND the strangers. Doesn't that fit your
taste better?"
"It does, but I'm hungry now. I don't see any signs of the Weiss
coming and I want to kill something."
"Before the night is over, I promise Farfarello. You will have your
kill before the night is over."
Farfarello said nothing but his yellowish eye glinted excitement as
he wiped his wet weapon on his pants. He walked over to the window
and gazed out at the waning twilight waiting patiently for the
killing time to arrive.
"Not much longer," he said to himself. "Not much longer until
justice is served MY way."
*************************************************
"Ready?" Aya asked and the others nodded their heads. "Let's go."
"Wait just one minute!" Ayeka cried and Aya looked at her.
"What are you doing here? Go back to Yoji's place where it's safe."
"I will most certainly not! My sister is in danger and I am not going to sit at home and worry. I'm going to DO something. I am a princess from Jurai, after all."
"From where?" Omi asked and Washu shook her head.
"Let's not get into that. The important thing is saving Sasami," she said.
"Come on, Tenchi. Let's go rescue little Sasami," Ryoko said and grabbed Tenchi.
"Hey! Let go of MY Tenchi!!" Ayeka yelled and Tenchi pushed the two of them apart.
"Will you two stop it!!! Have you forgotten about Sasami?" he asked and Ryoko and Ayeka looked sheepish.
"We're sorry," they both said and Aya looked at them critically.
"Once we go into this there's no way out so don't screw it up," he said.
*****************************************************
Crawfor d walked into the room. Farfarello sat on the windowsill,
gently running his tongue over his weapon. He glanced up at
Crawford then went back to what he was doing.
"I have some news that I think you'll enjoy, Farfarello," Crawford
said as Farfarello licked his own blood off of his weapon.
"I wait no longer," Farfarello hissed and Crawford held up his hands
in surrender.
"You don't have to wait any longer, dear Farfarello. Our pigeons are
on their way."
Farfarello stood up and jumped out of the window. Crawford watched
him, then glanced at Nagi, who stood beside him.
"Everything is in place, although I doubt that Farfarello will be
able to hold out much longer," he said as Crawford pushed his
glasses up.
"Let him have his fun. I'd like to see what these strangers are
capable of," Crawford replied.
*********************************************
Sasami sat in a corner crying. She was frightened. Needless to
say, since she was in a strange place in a strange dimension. She
wanted her sister. She wanted Ayeka's comfort but her sister was
nowhere near her.
"Miss Washu will be able to figure out where I am," she said
through her tears then added in a small voice. "I hope."
"Still clinging on to your family, I see," Schuldrich said and
Sasami stared at him. He stood leaning against the door, his arms
folded and a sinister smile across his face.
"What do you want? I'm not believing you any more," Sasami said and
stuck out her tongue.
"Why should your sister come and save you? Now she can have Tenchi
all to herself. Isn't that who she really cares for?"
"You're lying."
"My dear, child, what would I gain by lying? Absolutely nothing. I'm
telling you the truth, aren't I?"
Sasami didn't answer and Schuldrich smiled. He walked over to the
window and leaned out the window.
"You've got something of hers, don't you?"
"Me?! I'd never take from my sister."
"Of course not. Especially not that necklace that Tenchi gave to her
as a present."
"I just...borrowed it."
"Well she's coming to get it back. What do you think about that?"
"I don't believe it! Ayeka would NEVER come just to get a necklace.
She's coming to save me!"
"Are you sure?"
*********************************
"I've got a bad feeling about this," Washu commented as she looked
at the data readings on her computer screen.
"What do you see?" Omi asked.
"I just don't like these readings. We've got to come up with a plan."
"We're going in. You're staying here," Aya said and Ayeka growled.
"I will most certainly NOT sit back while my sister is in danger!"
she cried.
"Ayeka sit down!" Tenchi cried.
"Oh please, Miss Ayeka, it isn't safe!" Mihoshi cried as she stood
up.
"Would you all sit down?!" Yoji cried and Aya turned towards them.
"We are professionals. We don't need extra baggage. You're staying
here. Understand?" he asked as Yoji stopped the car suddenly.
"What the hell was that for?!" Ryoko cried.
"Farfarello," Ayeka hissed.
"The rest of them should be here soon. Save yourselves. We don't
have time to protect you," Yoji said.
"We don't need protection," Ryoko said as she materialized a light
sword in her hand.
"What the hell is that?" Omi asked.
"Go ahead and get things started Ryoko. Sasami's the main thing,"
Washu said.
"Wait a minute. You don't know what he's like," Yoji said.
"You don't know what she's like, either," Washu said.
"Be glad that you don't," Ayeka muttered.
******************************************************
Fa rfarello gazed at Ryoko in pleasure. Finally, his time had come.
"All right, where's Sasami?" Ryoko growled and Farfarello licked his dart. He laughed and Ryoko growled impatiently.
"Tell me where she is, damn it!"
"The child is alive," he rasped, then pierced his own skin with his weapon. "At least for now."
He dodged Ryolo's initial attack, his sinister laughter ringing in her ears.
"There's got to be a weak spot," Washu commented and Ryoko looked at her.
"What the hell do you think I've been trying to find?!" Ryoko demanded as she dodged Farfarello's attack. She tried rushing him, but was stopped by a sudden gust of wind.
"Crawford thought you might need some assistance," Nagi said.
"I don't need any help!" Farfarello hissed then gasped when Ryoko kicked him. He fell sharply to the ground and grinned disturbingly as he brought a hand to an open wound on his arm. He stood up and watched Ryoko dangerously.
