Summer Snowstorm

A Tenshi ni Narumon Fanfic

I got the inspiration for this story from the very last episodes of Tenshi ni Narumon, so people unfamiliar with the series overall may be a little lost. However, I did a pretty good job of minimizing spoilers for the end, and I've kept many of the plot twists a secret. Those of you who don't want to know the truth about Natsumi and Raphael probably don't want to read this because it's the crux of the action.
The title of the story seems like an oxymoron, but it's not really. Natsumi's name means "summer ocean" because the first thing her mother saw when she was born was the ocean outside the window, and her birthday is in the summer. Her older brother is named "Fuyuki" because he was born during a snowstorm. She gives this explanation to her older brother's best friend and her sort-of boyfriend in the first 6 or so episodes.
Disclaimer: Of course these characters aren't mine. I borrowed them from Heaven Project and the companies who licensed them for animation. I'm only a new college grad, so please don't sue me. I doubt I have anything you'd want anyhow.*wink*
Mikael lay contentedly in Raphael's arms, resting his head trustingly against his companion's chest. "Finally, I can touch you, be held by you…" the young man whispered reverently. "Because I passed the last obstacle to becoming an angel I can stay by your side forever."
The elder angel gently toyed with one of Mikael's tender nipples, then pinched his earlobe between his teeth. "And I have you completely to myself since your 'sisters' chose to become human and give the angel portion of their souls to you," Raphael murmured possessively. His free hand teasingly dipped between the blue-haired angel's thighs, and he brushed his knuckles over Mikael.
The young man bit back a soft moan, his hips arching upwards into the warm touch. He had waited patiently for the day he could accept his teacher's caresses, but…He screwed his amber eyes closed and tried to erase the image of Natsumi Suzuhara staring directly at them…
Raphael abruptly pulled away and placed a cool hand on his companion's brow. "Odd for you to be thinking of a girl while I'm here!" he joked, trying to hide the sadness in his dark eyes.
Mikael sat up and pushed the other man back against the pillows. "I…it's not like that!" he protested, blushing. "It's…it's just that Suzuhara saw you …something no human is capable of…" He clutched Raphael's shoulders desperately. "Who, or what, is she?"
"She's merely a human girl," the other angel replied flippantly. "Maybe she saw me because she's going to die soon."
Frustration flooded through Mikael, and he anxiously dug his fingernails into his lover's skin. "What is Natsumi Suzuhara to you?!" he demanded angrily. "You're hiding something from me, and, while it drives me mad not to know, I refuse to violate your thoughts by lifting the truth from your mind!"
"Or is it just that you're afraid of the answer you might find?" Raphael accused softly. "What would you do if she were a past girlfriend or lover, my jealous pupil?"
Mikael turned a deep red and buried his face against the other man's chest. "You're always concealing things from me like I'm a small child! You tease me and toy with my feelings without trusting me at all…Sometimes I wonder if you just said you love me to get in my pants!"
Raphael's hand cracked harshly across his face and the world spun dizzily. The older angel suddenly loomed over him, face dark and angry. "The one who lacks understanding is you, Mikael!" he growled passionately, pinning the young man's arms to the mattress.
The young angel froze as Raphael cruelly forced his lips open with a harsh thrust of his tongue. Carelessly straddling his hips, the older man sharply nipped his lip. The one-winged angel smiled demonically as he meticulously lapped up the blood welling from the small wound before painting tiny symbols on his lover's face.
Raphael sat back and admired his handiwork, then aimlessly continued tracing patterns over his captive's face. Suddenly, he leaned forward and sharply blew into one of the younger man's ears, smirking triumphantly as Mikael flinched nervously. The older angel teased both ear lobes, eliciting a whimper from his unwilling lover. Wordlessly Raphael moved down the younger angel's body, cruelly pinching the skin along his torso. At last he ran his hands over Mikael's warm length, then painfully squeezed the sensitive testes.
His expression became more tender, and he gently placed a kiss on his companion's velvety tip. "If I did not love you," the one-winged angel breathed heavily, "I would simply take you now, regardless of the pain…I would take pleasure in feeling the tearing inside of you, and when I had reached my release I would leave you bleeding and alone to cope with the consequences of my selfishness."
Mikael tensed, anticipating the described punishment, but the older angel tenderly engulfed him with his lips. His eyes widened as Raphael used his tongue to caress him and lightly tickled his sides. His lover's touch along with the stress and fear drove him over the edge, and the young man arched his back, driving himself deeper. Moments later he shuddered in pleasure and exploded into Raphael's loving caress.
"Natsumi was my little sister…" the one-winged angel confessed, pulling Mikael against him. He kissed the back of his lover's neck and wound his fingers through the long blue hair.
The sweet gesture brought tears to Mikael's eyes, and he sniffled pathetically. "Why didn't you just tell me the truth from the start? I feel like you're always hiding part of yourself from me…and I start to sense that I've been shut out of an important part of your heart." He reached behind to run one hand over his lover's face. "I guess I'm jealous of whoever was so special in your former life that you feel you must hide them from me…"
"You can't fully understand because you have no human past to haunt you," Raphael sighed. "Whatever memories your original soul had were split three ways in that strange accident…For me, however, my past revolves around a smiling, brown-haired little girl calling out, 'Wait for me, big brother! Natsumi wants to come, too!' Then my wings unfold, and her face crumples as I fly off towards the Angel Realm and leave her behind forever."
"That still doesn't explain why Suzuhara could see you though!" the younger angel protested. "It's simply unheard of!"
A soft light filled Raphael's eyes. "The Durian Comet is made of human's wishes," he smiled. "Rather than asking for something material Natsumi asked to see me once more, to reassure herself that I hadn't forgotten her entirely." He lightly tousled Mikael's hair. "Your impulsive actions to help you become an angel granted her desire, so she can finally look for her happiness on earth." He tightened his arms around the younger man. "Someday she will find someone to mend her shattered heart and make her whole again…just as you have done for me," and the pale light of a fresh angel wing illuminated the darkened room.
