Forsaken

"TAI, call all Autobots in for a meeting, I want them all present in the Briefing-room in about 10 cycles least" Optimus Prime says when he enters the main room; the spychangers follow him after a few seconds.

"I want to start this meeting with a change in patrols..." Optimus starts, "the patrols will now also take place at nighttime at regular basis" the Autobots look at each other in confusion, Prowl raises his hand in question, "does this has anything to do with the attack on Koji?" he asks, Optimus nods, "it has anything to do with the attack, not only Koji but other humans are also in danger" he says, giving them new timetables to pass on, Ironhide, Mirage, Desertfox, Railstar, Prowl, Sideburn and Sumatran are the first to patrol at night, therefore, they will start later, the two female cars (Desertfox and Sumatran) sigh, "great, staying up late in the dark and rain, terrific" they mutter softly as they analyze their routes.

"Wedge, I'm adjusting the deadline for the tunnels T16, E12 and A1 to this evening, report as soon as possible" Wedge nearly spills his drink over the table, coughing, "sure Optimus... sure" he mutters, standing up, "then I would like to leave if that was all for the Build Team" he excuses himself, motioning the others to follow him after Optimus gave an agreeing nod.

"Great, there goes the little pipsqueak" Desertfox comments, sighing dreamingly, "I would give anything to be in that team, a cute leader *and* a relaxed job" she grimaces as Aquarius elbows her hard in the side, "stop daydreaming and get a life, Wedge's way too young for ya"

"Ahem" Optimus interrupts Desertfox from responding, seeing the jeep becoming red in the face, "oh, sorry Optimus..."

X-brawn vaguely hears the bickering, pretending to be examining the new time-schedule but instead, his mind is a few hours back, he saw no scars or any evidence that could relate to an attack, and when he checked his self-repair back-up, there was nothing about that he got damaged last night, and how did he got back into his room??

"X-brawn, how are you doing?" he looks up in shock, noticing that it was Optimus who had spoken to him, "what do you mean Prime?" he asks, "Are you feeling okay? Sideburn brought you in last night saying that you got ambushed by the Predacons" X-brawn frowns, "oh, yeah, I feel better now, just a bit sore by a few bolts, but nothing I can't handle" he responds, standing up as the meeting ends, Optimus telling him to take the day off, "yes Prime, a bit of outdoor rest will probably do me good" X-brawn nods, leaving into the Spacebridge and transforming into his vehicle mode.

As he was traveling in one of the tunnels leading towards Canada, X-brawn notices Sideburn trailing behind him, slowly closing in until he's mere meters behind the SUV, "hey dude, how are you doing now? " X-brawn grimaces, "you're playing this game good, little brother, but unlike the other Autobots and T-ai, I won't be that easily deceived" X-brawn says, hitting the brake so he slips into a U-turn, facing the dodge viper who, on his turn, hits the brake with all his might, leaving one centimeter between them, "bro, WHAT are you DOING?" the younger Autobot Brother yells in shock.

"Shut UP!!!" X-brawn shoots back, "You thought I would easily fall for your lies, didn't you?! That I would dispatch it as a dream or at least as an ambush by the predacons, well, FORGET it!!!" X-brawn curses, "I have no idea what you are, Sideburn, but you aren't Autobot, you are not a normal Cybertronian, and you, you are not my brother, not after what happened last night!" X-brawn sees Sideburn moving backwards, "yes, it was you who attacked me, weren't you? You brutally attacked Koji too, and you never let a tear about it, you destroyed his life! And you don't care a single thing about it!" X-brawn sees Sideburn transforming and quickly follows, looking face hard into the younger bot's eyes.

"X-brawn, will you listen to me, my brother?" Sideburn steps backwards in shock of the fury in which X-brawn yells at him, "I did never want to attack Koji, I acted in self-defense, I wanted to leave when he saw me but instead, my body attacked him on instinct, I realized hours after it, after I returned to base, what I had done!! You must believe me, brother!" Sideburn pleads in despair, seeing X-brawn shaking his head, "no, I don't believe you, you nearly killed Onishi's only son, our friend, and you didn't admit it was you, I could have might forgiven you if you had been honest, but no! You attacked me in the back too! A low and dirty move, attacking me like an animal, no! A beast! A, a demon!" X-brawn frowns as Sideburn seems to absorb those curses with an unearthly ease, standing before the SUV-transformer like a god, looking down upon lesser beings...

"I will not forgive you, Sideburn, I will not... You are not my brother anymore" X-brawn states, seeing Sideburn narrowing his eyes, "so... you, my brother...You have forsaken me?"

X-brawn falls silent as Sideburn walks past him, his form disappearing in the darkness of the tunnels while the sound of his boots fades

Wow, I must be having a good day, I like the tension in this chapter (I was listening to `forsaken' from Queen of the Damned while I wrote this, have to do that more often ^_^)

And just for information, the femmes named here: Desertfox is a jeep, Sumatran is a Mercedes, Railstar is a Shinkansen (bullet train), and Aquarius I'm not sure yet, I think I'll make her into a motorcycle, Desertfox, Sumatran and Aquarius are members to team Blademaiden, lead by Shara.

I'll post the next chapter as soon as possible (after I have written it^_^)
