"O."

Amirah grabbed her bag and pulled out her book. She grabbed the crystal.

`Now it's not giving off the painful aura. Weird.'

She looked through her book and found nothing. Courtney was looking on the computer, and then Amirah grabbed it from her and scanned though her favorites. She opened the file on shadows.

The Shadows are out there:

They exist, in the invisible world that parallels our own, living creatures. Unlike creatures from our world, they lack physical form, and feed on energy instead of matter. They are as varied as the animal life on our world. They range in size (power) from the equivalent of insects and rodents to the equivalent of magically trained humans, and beyond to the Great Old Ones. (My land is inhabited by one of these-it gives the psychic impression of a mountain with legs. It is not unfriendly, but an elephant is not unfriendly toward ants either. I stay out of our woods when it is about.) I mentioned that these creatures feed on energy. Most are content to graze on the random energy fields that leak from humans and other creatures in our world. Others, however, are a little more sinister. These, the ones you have to worry about, I call the Shadows.

Shadows come in three basic varieties. First are the little ones that feed off the energy in negative emotions. If you are emitting strong negativity, they will be drawn to you like flies to rotten meat. If you aren't magically protected, they will happily latch onto your energy field (aura) and snack on it. They are usually not much more troublesome than leeches or mosquitoes; however, a thousand leeches could weaken a person severely.

Next come the more dangerous variety, more like rats or vultures than mosquitoes. These are attracted both by negative emotions and the energy of magical workings. They are stronger, and can push past weak or flawed defenses to get to you. And they are much harder to peel loose once they have their teeth into you.

"Amirah…"

"Courtney, do u think this is it."

"Yea, probably is."

Chris, Paul and Benji walked over to the 2 of them.

"Did u find anything?" Benji asked.

"Yea, take a look at this." Amirah said shifting the computer over to them. They read it and looked at them.

"Interesting, I would go with the last one." Chris stated.

`Why me?'

"Courtney."

"What?"

"Remember this is just a guess. I'm not sure if it's a shadow. It could be… something that we both truly know nothing about. Someone could of did this."

"Koga's to dumb, so if it is someone who could it be?"

"I not have one clue." Amirah said closing the laptop.

"I'll look into it tonight."

`The tour is tomorrow. I hope we can leave soon.' Joel said to himself.

Amirah looked at Joel. She stood up and walked over to him. She talked to him for a little bit. They thought of a plan for tomorrow since Benji was in his touring cloths. Amirah and Courtney put up a shield for the night for then they didn't have to worry about any demons. Joel, Amirah, Benji, and Paul slept by each other with the big blanket they got from Kagome later that night. And Courtney, Billy, and Chris slept by each other with the tiny bit smaller blanket.

The next morning:

Courtney and Billy went and picked some fruit from some trees and brought it back as breakfast. After all of them ate they grabbed their stuff and went for a walk. They came across a hill/cliff. It was about a 15ft drop.

Benji walked over about a foot from the edge. He looked down. Joel, and Amirah walked over to him on both sides of him. Benji looked at both of them and tried to back up but it was 2 late. Amirah and Joel pushed him and he fell in. Amirah jumped after him but to the other side of the land.

"JOEL YOU'RE AN ASSHOLE!"

"I LOVE U 2!" Joel yelled from the top of the cliff.

Chris walked up behind Joel and tapped him on the shoulder. Joel turned around and looked at him. Chris waved and pushed Joel as well. While he did he yelled "Benji watch out!"

"HA, HA!" Benji yelled at his brother's surprised face.

"Deronimo!" Chris yelled running and flipping sideways into the water before anyone could push him.

Courtney walked up behind Billy and smiled. She hugged him.

"Don't try it Court." Billy said turning her around and shooting her in. She fell in laughing. Amirah laughed at her.

"What? DO u think your not coming in my friend?"

"Look, all of you are in…"

"Don't think so!"

"What!" Joel climbed out from behind and pushed her in. Now Billy and Paul were left.

"Ready Paul, let's go in together."

"Alright Billy." Billy and Paul walked to the edge together and Paul faked to jump when Billy did jump and gave him an extra push. Paul jumped after Billy.

Now all of them were in the water messing around. Benji, Joel, Chris, Paul, and Billy were ruff housing and Courtney and Amirah were sitting back watching.

"Guess you got Benji in the water."

"Yup."

"I hope… they forgot about it for now."

"Forgot about what." Courtney asked quietly.

"Tour."

"Me 2."
