Dirty Dreams

By Bekka Mouri

(Trigun isn't mine. It's Vash's turn again. It's been six months since The Fifth Moon incident and Vash is building his identity as Eriks. A lot of his memory is still patchy but he keeps dreaming of two women... Rem and someone else ^_~. Hot!)

Part Six: Kasted's Village Idiot

He couldn't remember anything after her face flashed through his mind except waking up in the pile of rubble that had once been the town of Augusta. He had managed to make it to another town but found he was broke and unarmed. He found an alley, deciding to stay there until he died or someone came along. He wasn't sure how long he had sat there when a little red headed girl approached him.

(Flashback)

" Are you okay? " She had walked up to him and he had let her. She was just a kid and probably would have gone up to anyone in the shape he was in. Her eyes scanned him and she gasped, the answer to her question obvious.

" Do you have anywhere to go? " She asked as her voice shook just a little.

He shook his head slowly, a little bit of dirt falling from his hair. " No, " He muttered.

" Would you like to have somewhere to go? " She asked, her voice shaking a little more. " I mean you just can't stay out here… you might get sick and you look like you're not in very good shape. "

" What if I'm a wanted outlaw? " He asked a little sarcastically. His throat was dry so he was only able to rasp the words out and the sarcasm had been lost.

" You need someplace to go, " The girl took another step closer. " And I can tell you're a good guy just by looking in your eyes. "

" How old are you? "

" I-I-I'm ten and a half, " The girl stammered. " My name is Lina. "

He was too weak to smile but he was happy to see her innocent trust and hoped no one would ever take advantage of it. He stood slowly, bracing himself against the wall behind him. He was surprised when Lina shifted the groceries she was carrying to one arm and slung her newly empty arm around his waist. He didn't want to argue so he put his arm around her shoulders and the groceries so she wouldn't drop them but tried not to lean too heavily on the tiny girl…

(End Flashback)

He looked down at the list in his hand as he walked into the shop, re-reading the things he would need. Lina usually accompanied him on his trips to the store and watched out for anyone out of his line of sight but the girl was at home. She had a cold and Grandma had sent him out to get the things she needed to make soup for the girl. It was the list that kept him from seeing the rather short woman that had walked in front of him. Before he realized what had happened, both of them were in the floor.

" You idiot! " She shouted as she tried to wiggle out from under him.

" I'm sorry… " He moved off of her and caught his breath. The woman he had ran into looked just like the shorthaired insurance girl. He couldn't speak as she glared at him, her face red with anger.

" Are you just going to stare? Help me up, you buffoon! " She waved her hand at the things she had been carrying, " and pick this stuff up too! "

Vash quickly got to his feet, still not sure if the woman he had knocked down was the person he thought she was. He tried not to stare as he picked her up and set her on her feet. She continued to glower as he picked up her groceries, placing them back in the hand basket she had been carrying. He offered the basket to her and she snatched it away, turning on her heel.

He watched as she walked away, realizing her black hair was pulled back in a long ponytail that hung down her back, which was much too long for it to be the girl he thought she was. It had only been six months since he had seen her last and her hair couldn't have gotten that long. If she hadn't cut it since that day in Augusta, it would only be about shoulder length.

He thought about the dream he had about her right before he had faced Dominique The Cyclops and tried to get the memory to go away as it played like a movie in his head. In the dream, the insurance girl had ended up under him and he was about to make love to her. The sound of the innkeeper banging on the door with his wake up call snatched him from the dream and he had to leave town before the sheriff changed his mind about letting him go.

After facing and defeating Dominique, he had a dream about The Gung-Ho Gun. In this dream he had seen her being abused and raped by Legato. There was another man abusing Dominique as well but Vash didn't know who he was. All he knew was that Dominique was being tortured and that it was probably because of him.

" Eriks? " The shopkeeper had slipped up on Vash and he hadn't realized it. He jumped and turned to face the woman, " Oh! I didn't mean to frighten you. "

" It's okay, " Vash stammered. " That lady looked like someone I thought I knew. "

The shopkeeper looked around, " Where's Lina? She's usually with you. "

" She's not feeling well so Grandma sent me out to get this stuff, " Vash held out the list.

The shopkeeper shook her head as she took the list, " That girl. She's generally so healthy. Let me get what you need and you stand still. I'll be back in a few minutes. "

Vash nodded, " Thank you, ma'am. "

Cheryl looked up from her book as Ericks walked up the path to the house. From the looks of things, he was able to get all the things for Lina but she could also see something was bothering him. He stepped up on the porch and looked at her. " I got everything on the list, grandma. How's Lina? " He said, his tone of his voice sounding like his mind was somewhere completely different.

" She's resting, Ericks. How are you? Did you see something in town that bothered you? " Cheryl stood up and reached for the bag of groceries.

" I don't know if I can explain it, " Vash sighed as he handed the bag to the elderly woman. It wasn't very heavy and Cheryl was still pretty strong in spite of her age.

Cheryl leaned a little closer, " Did you see someone that recognized you? "

Vash shook his head, " No. "

" Then did you see someone you knew but didn't say anything because you were afraid they would recognize you? " Cheryl asked.

" Well… I thought it was someone I knew… " Vash shut his eyes. " It wasn't her though. "

" Her? " Cheryl arched an eyebrow. " Did this lady look like your girlfriend? "

" I didn't have a girlfriend, " Vash sighed.

Cheryl smiled just slightly, " Then it was someone you wanted to be your girlfriend, right? "

" NO! " Vash shouted although he hadn't intended to. He realized he had shouted and became somber. " I didn't mean to yell, grandma. I just… I wasn't around her long enough to be sure of how I felt about her. "

Cheryl nodded, " It's okay. I understand. I remember what it was like to be young and confused. If you want to talk about it once you've figured it out, I'll be glad to listen. "

Vash didn't look at her, ~you don't know… you just don't know at all. ~

Vash stared at the ceiling, his mind still being nagged by the thoughts of the shorthaired insurance girl. He was wracking his brain as he tried to recall her name but it wouldn't come to him. She had been such a bitch to him when they first met; he hadn't bothered to commit it to memory because he didn't think he'd need to ever talk to her. At first, he wouldn't have minded snuggling up to the taller one but she just as frightening as she was cute.

He shivered, remembering just how smart she was and just how unaware of it she seemed to be. Another thing that scared him was the way she could handle her gun. It may not have been lethal but she could certainly kick some serious ass with it. ~Heaven forbid she gets a hold of a real gun… ~ Vash could see the big girl in his mind and the thought scared him even more… if there was anyone who could be as good as him or Wolfwood, it would be Milly.

He felt his eyelids start to become heavy as sleep crept across him and he let them shut slowly as his mind went back to the spunky little insurance girl. He wasn't sure how long he had been asleep when he heard someone knocking at the front door. At first, he thought he was imagining it but the sound continued as he opened his eyes, slowly sitting up.

He got up and went to the front door. He got to it and opened it just a bit, catching his breath. The two insurance girls were on the porch, looking like they had walked quite a bit. " I'm sorry to bother you sir, " The shorthaired one started.

" But our car broke down and we're really thirsty and hungry! " Milly cut in, her hands clasped in front of her. She looked like she was about to start crying.

" Milly! " the shorthaired one growled. She took a breath and looked back at Vash. " Our car did break down and we really do need someplace to stay until morning. When it gets light out, we'll go into town and find a mechanic. "

Vash just stared and that irked the small insurance agent. " Are you mute? Is there anyone else here I can speak to? "

" Who's at the door, Ericks? " Lina's voice startled Vash. She was walking down the hallway, rubbing her right eye with the back of her hand. She got to the door and opened it all the way.

" I'm sorry to bother you but our car broke down, " The shorthaired girl explained quickly probably so Milly couldn't cut in again. " Can we sleep here tonight so we can go to town in the morning? We'll pay you. "

Lina blinked, " Um. Okay. I guess so. "

" Thank you. I tried to get him to understand but he… " The shorthaired girl trailed off as if Vash had something wrong with him but didn't want to mention it.

Lina looked at Vash, " Oh. That's just Ericks. He gets tongue tied around women, that's all. "

Meryl looked Vash over, " If you say so. "

Lina chuckled, " Come on in. I'll fix you something and then I'll show you to the guest room. "

" Grandma? " Vash forced his voice to work. It sounded a little stilted but at least it came out and Lina would know what he was asking.

Lina waved her hand, " She won't mind and there's no point in waking her up. "

Vash nodded, " Okay. "

**

Vash was back in bed and wide-awake. Lina had fixed a nice little dinner for the girls and a midnight snack for him but he didn't touch it. He just sat at the table, staring at the plate as Lina chatted with the women. Lina was mature for her age and got along quite well with Milly.

Meryl tried to get Vash to talk but he only responded with one or two words, afraid she'd recognize his voice. After about five minutes, she decided to concentrate on her food and leave him alone. He stayed at the table not to be rude but felt that way for not talking to her. He couldn't help it though… he didn't know if she had seen what he had done to Augusta and what she thought of him if she had seen it.

She probably hated him and saw him as a monster… she had probably always thought of him as a monster and would probably put a bullet from one of her derringers in him if she discovered he was still alive. He fought the tears that started to form in his eyes as the ceiling started to blur… he was certain everyone hated him and there was nothing he could do to change it.

He groaned, realizing he needed to go to the bathroom. He got out of the bed and went down the hall. He could hear Lina and Milly giggling. They had started talking about card games and decided to play some Old Maid until they were sleepy. From the sound, they were nowhere close to being tired.

Vash did his business and walked back down the hall, his eyelids half closed because he had started to get sleepy again. It had washed over him rather suddenly but he wasn't going to fight it. He wanted some sleep and maybe the girls would be gone in the morning when he got up. He let his eyes close and he felt his way back to his room.

His hand closed around the knob and he turned it, only opening the door enough to slip inside before shutting it again. He took tiny steps as he made his way to the bed, smiling when he found it without hurting himself. He crawled under the covers and settled down, letting out a sigh as he snuggled down into the pillow.

" Mmm… Vash… "

His eyes flew open and he suppressed a scream when he saw he wasn't in his bed at all… he was in the guest room and in bed with the small insurance agent. Six iches separated him and the shorthaired insurance girl, her breath tickling his face as she muttered his name in her sleep. She was also moaning… something that left Vash feeling unsettled as well as aroused.

~No! ~ He told himself. ~She can't be! She's not dreaming about me! ~

" Oh God! Vash! " She muttered loudly. " Yes! "

~Okay… maybe she is, ~ He felt his body reacting to her suggestive sounds. He wondered what she was dreaming about him and decided to find out. Her left hand was laying palm up on the edge of the pillow and he reached for it with his right. He moved very slowly as he tried to make contact with her skin without waking her.

He found out that he could see into to human minds for short periods of time when Rem tried to save Rowan from himself but Joey opened the airlock and sent him into space instead. Vash had held Rem as she cried and he saw her dream of what she called Eden crumbling away. It had scared him so much; he never looked into anyone else's mind again. He wanted to look into the insurance girl's mind because he was curious to see what was happening.

He shut his eyes and the images exploded across his mind the second he touched her, the dream causing him to become further aroused. In it, they were lying next to each other and he was sucking at the flesh of her neck as his left hand slipped into her underwear, his right arm under her so he could reach her right breast. She gasped as he pushed two fingers into her, spreading her legs a little as if to encourage his actions. He watched as her dream continued with him rising over her and taking the nipple he had teased into his mouth.

He kept his eyes shut as he took his hand away from hers, not knowing what to do. He wanted to feel her around him but he would blow his cover if she saw his scars. He heard her move, opening his eyes to see she had rolled onto her back. Her hard nipples visible in the moonlight even thought a blanket covered her and she probably had a nightshirt on.

~I have to get out of this bed before she wakes up and think I was trying to rape her… ~ He moved slowly toward the edge of the bed to slip out when she pushed the blanket down with her right arm, revealing that she was naked and Vash was certain it was just not her top half. Vash froze, his eyes scanning her even though he was trying not to. ~She… she must have left her night clothes in the car… ~

He continued to gaze at her, her perfectly shaped small breasts looked so inviting and her darkish pink nipples seemed to be begging for someone to touch them. ~What if she wakes up? ~ He thought, scarcely feeling his own breath. He remembered that the girls had walked at least 20 iles from where they said the car had broken down so she had to be exhausted.

He also recalled that Lina had made them some tea… the same tea the girl drank to calm herself down to go to bed when she couldn't sleep because it relaxed her. ~She has got to be out like a light… ~ He thought. The insurance girl seemed so caught up in the dream… Vash took a deep breath and leaned into one of the straining peaks, flicking it with his tongue. She moaned but didn't wake up.

He flicked his tongue across it a little harder and she moaned again, still not waking. He slipped his right arm under her body and cupped her right breast, leaning into her neck as he let his left hand stray down her flat stomach, pushing the blanket the rest of the way off of her to reveal she had on white panties. He let his fingers stray over the moist cloth between her legs and he bit his lip. The feel of her dampness sent a jolt of lust through him as he thought about how wet she probably was beneath the fabric.

He could feel the insurance girl press closer to his hand as he stroked her through the thin barrier. He found her clit, rubbing it as he licked at her neck lightly. The licking soon gave way to kissing as he pulled her closer, pressing his erection against her thigh. He pushed the cloth aside as it became soaking wet, grazing her lips with his fingertips.

He stroked her a little before placing his tip at the opening of her channel, moving forward slowly until he was completely enveloped. He took a moment to enjoy the way she felt around him as his heartbeat drummed in his ears. He wasn't really sure how she would react if she woke up and found him like he was but he had to have her. ~Maybe she won't be too mad since she's dreaming about this, ~ He reasoned and began to move slowly.

The insurance girl began to moan louder, her body moving with each stroke as Vash drove into her gently. Her fingers grasped the sheet beneath her as she moved against him harder and murmured for him to go faster. Vash stepped up his thrusts to match her fervent ones as she neared climax. She cried out as her core tightened around him, her spasms encouraging him to follow her. Vash felt his last thread of control break, choking back his cry as he came deep within her.

" Ericks! " Lina shook Vash by the shoulder. She had called his name three times but hadn't roused him. She was feeling a lot better and was bored. It seemed that her illness had only been a one-day thing and she was ready to head out into town.

Slowly, his eyes opened. He looked at her, blinking a few times before he said her name. She rolled her eyes, " Yes, silly. That stuff you bought yesterday did the trick. I'm feeling a lot better now. "

Vash yawned as he sat up, " Oh. That's good. "

Lina nodded, " Yes. Now, get out of bed and get dressed. I have a lot of things I want to do today. "

Vash sighed, " Okay. I'll meet you in the kitchen. "
