*Recap from last chapter!*
Vash had no choice he had to go back to Milly and tell about Meryl. He didn't know what to do. Vash noticed a few people still alive from the fire, death strike didn't get to kill everyone because of his interference. He asked an old man to take care of the girl and left the town. There was nothing he could say so he left. The little girl was now scared with the everlasting pain of death. That of her parents and that of a monster. A monster that cried at the realization of its identity. A monster the others called…an angel.

*Right, so here's that scoop, Rey was totally devastated and had no clue that death strike would do something so stupid…ya know, kill herself…so anyway, in the midst of repairing her he decides to construct a "friend" for her. You know, just to keep her in check and make she doesn't…oh lets say, kill herself!
So here he is, ladies and gentleman, Rey the madman…hehe*

"How could you….why? Everything was going as planned" Rey stared at her distorted figure. She laid there, unconscious, luckily Rey had scanned her programming and everything was still active and not as badly damaged as her interior system. The blade had struck only the beams in her chest and the outer protective layer of her armor. He continued to repair her when he suddenly stopped. "I just can't leave you alone can I" He whispered. Thinking, he lightly brushed his fingers against her hair. " I may just have to reprogram you" He continued. But then, retracing his other attempts at reprogramming her, his conclusion was against the idea. It would be too difficult for her, too much pain he thought.
As he continued to think he came up with the idea of creating a watcher for her. "That's it" he exclaimed. "We'll just have to make you a little friend to look after you, just to make sure you don't repeat these clumsy mistakes" He snickered. He left her side and went into another laboratory and got started on it right away. He needed to create a watcher that was intimidating, something death strike would get along with. He wanted to make something of her equal. "Maybe, a monster should watch over one of it's own" he said to himself. With that he started building his new creation. All he needed was the right frame, something of a monsters….

*Back with poor ol'Vash*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He indolently walked….a sorrowful expression painted on his face. It was all for her, he thought to himself…I came back for her, he repeated. For three days now he had been torturing himself with the fact that Meryl was really gone. He had lost her before but to lose her for a second time was even more painful than the first. His only reason for returning was her, he had finally realized his love for her and now she was gone. Thinking things would change he had left them. But he soon came to realize that Meryl's face would forever be etched in his mind and it had no plans of leaving. He continued his journey back home….
Once Vash had reached the bar, he walked in ever so glum, only to be greeted by another glum face. He noticed Milly's dampening expression as he took a seat at the bar. "She's really gone isn't she" Milly spoke with her head facing the floor. "What happened to her Vash, what did he do to her" Vash only sat there unable to speak but finally he was able to tell Milly the whole story. About Death strike, Rey, that little girl….all of it. On their way home both were silent, Milly was more upset then ever. Vash just kept quiet, he couldn't take it anymore. Her face, her name, her love haunted him…
And now back to the "madman" of the story, REY!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"It should be complete soon" He said to the still asleep death strike. "I think you'll like your new partner, it's just like you" he stroked her long purple hair. He soon left to check on his latest creation. It was actually quiet remarkable. He had created a monster to watch over one of it's own. He had constructed a giant 7'foot tall dragon. This Mechanical dragon had the same programming as death strike. It had been specifically modified to obey and protect death strike…even from herself. It was perfect, with a silver body, huge metal teeth, giant wings, a tail with spikes, and Rey's personal favorite, the ability to blow flames from its mouth. He decided to name it Cyclone, after his favorite weapon, the "cyclone flame".
It was almost complete, all that was left to do was activate its program and introduce it to our little sleeping beauty and it's new master, Death Strike. He returned to the room were death strike was sleeping. She looked so at peace, so calm, so innocent. As he looked at her he wondered about the previous events that took place. Why had she done that to herself? What possessed her to disobey her program and purposely harm herself? He had guessed that the fact that he had programmed Vash to be her trigger had some affect on it. No matter, he thought. He had recently changed her programming, she would remember everything that had taken place…everything. He only changed one thing. He made it so Death Strike would love him as he loved her. He couldn't bare to let her go…never. No one could take her away from him, not even Vash the Stampede….
