Hi people. Hypersquirrel here, I don't own trigun I only own my character Noako.
Chapter 1 “Resurrection”
It was late in the night when she arrived in Augusta. She wrapped her black cloak around her tighter as a cold breeze brushed against her petite body. She found an abandoned church nearby and put her duffle bag and bulging backpack on a pew. The girl kneeled down and prayed. After she prayed she walked around the church and saw bloodstains on the floor. “Whoever died here must have died a painful death, no wonder their spirit is still lingering here,” she said to herself. She went outside and saw the makeshift grave beside the church. The girl's name was Naoko Shinatama. She had long brown hair and blue eyes; she had a petite body and was 5'2 in height.
She began to dig out the coffin; it took her four hours to dig up the coffin since she used her hands as a shovel. When she saw the coffin she noticed that the coffin was one of those quick installed wooden ones than a coffin with ivory handles and beech wood. Noako opened the coffin slowly and found a man lying in there with an unpeaceful smile. Noako looked over the man's features, his hair was a bluish-blackish color, his skin was finely tanned, and his clothes were black and looked like the kind priests would wear. She put her hands on the man's chest and began to transfer her own energy into his body. A purple light began to engulf her body as black wings began to sprout form her back. It took a long time to heal this man, as Naoko grew weary and weak from the energy loss. The man's eyes opened slowly and he took in his surroundings. “Where the heck am I….. wait a minute I'm suppose to be dead” the man said as he sat up. “You were dead but I resurrected you because your spirit was lingering here and a spirit wouldn't stay in one place for so long unless they have unfinished business to attend to in the living world”, said Noako in a tired voice. “How did you know that”, asked the man as he stared at her. “Lets just call it instinct and I'm Noako Shinatama and you are”, she said as she reached out her hand to shake his. “ I'm Nicholas D Wolfwood but call me Wolfwood okay Noako”, said Wolfwood as he shook her hand. “Do you need a place to stay Wolfwood cause if you don't you can stay with me?” said Noako in a shy voice. “ Sure I'll stay with you anyway my friends are probably on the other side of Gunsmoke by now”, said Wolfwood as he stood up. The two left the church with Noako's belongings and walked into town.
“So are you a plant”, Wolfwood asked Noako so he could figure out how he was brought back to life. “What's a plant”, said Noako with a blank expression on her face.
“You mean to tell me that your parents never told you what a plant is”, Wolfwood yelled. “ I don't have any parents”, she said as she looked at her feet that were moving forward to the rent house that she was staying at which was 15 iles away. Wolfwood's expression changed from being surprised to a face of pure sadness. “Oh…I'm sorry,” said Wolfwood as he looked down at his shoes. “It's okay and anyway I don't even remember my parents faces at all so I guess its easier this way because I can't feel sad at all since I don't have any memories with them”, said Noako with cheery smile plastered on her face. “She's an orphan just like me,” Wolfwood whispered to himself. Wolfwood turned to look at Noako but found her lagging three feet behind him. Wolfwood ran towards her, “Are you alright” Wolfwood shouted to her. “I'm just a little tired from resurrecting you that's all” Noako yelled in a exhausted voice as she watched Wolfwood run towards her. “Here you can ride on my back the rest of the way to town”, said Wolfwood said as he knelled down and let her climb on his back. Wolfwood carried Noako into the town who was now slumbering peacefully on his shoulder.
Wolfwood layed Noako on a bed as soon as he found the small rent house at the end of town. He kept himself busy by cleaning and fixing a jeep he found and take a shower plus make an edible soup. Once and while he would check on Noako to see if she was awake. When Noako woke up it was around 6:00 in the evening. Noako got out of bed and followed the smell of food being cooked, she found Wolfwood in the kitchen stirring something in a pot on the stove. “Well I see your up, did you sleep well”, Wolfwood asked as he sipped the scalding hot soup. “ I sure did and what's for dinner,” Noako asked as she sniffed the pots contents. “Its clam chowder and you know you that you slept for one whole day right” Wolfwood questioned her as he turned off the burner and started to serve the soup for the two of them and sat down at the table with her.
“Do you have any other kind of powers?” Wolfwood questioned between sips of chowder. “I can control; many elements such as fire, water, lighting, ice, earthquakes and I can form powerful energies from my body to resurrect things from the dead” Noako explained to him. “What kind of weapons do you use?” Wolfwood questioned her more. “ I use my bow and arrows and I use my sharp claws” Noako replied happily. “Claws”, asked Wolfwood as he raised an eyebrow. Noako began to crack her fingers in an odd way, razor like claws jutted out from her fingernails. Wolfwood took one of her hands into his and began to feel her bones that were broader and stronger than his now; he touched one of her pointy nails and ran a finger down its point. He drew back his finger that was bleeding from her dagger-like nails and he started to suck on his finger to get rid of the blood that slowly trickled down it. “Oh I should have warned you that my claws can cut through anything,” Naoko said shyly as she drew back her claws into her skin and pulled her hand quickly away from Wolfwood's.
“Now that you know a little about me, I want to know something about you Wolfwood I only know your name” Noako pleaded. “Well I am a priest but not a very good one though, I smoke and I drink Wolfwood replied. “I also own an orphanage and I take care of the children there said Wolfwood. Wolfwood talked a lot about his friends who were Vash the Stampede the legendary outlaw with 60,000,0000,000 double dollars on his head, Wolfwood described him as a pacifist and goof ball. He chattered endlessly about these two insurance girls, Meryl Strife a woman who was loyal to her job and had a yearlong pms. Then there was Millie Thompson who was bubbly and carefree, Wolfwood's eyes looked sad as he talked about her. “Was Millie your girlfriend Wolfwood” Noako asked him. “Yeah she was and your cheery and happy appearance and attitude remind me of her,” Wolfwood said sadly as he got up and embraced Noako. Hot tears ran down his face as he hugged her tightly to him. Noako felt his tears pelt her face; she reached up to his face and wiped the tears from his eyes. “I promise that we'll find your friends and Millie, just promise me that you'll be my friend from now on” whispered Noako. Wolfwood hugged her once more and smiled at her, “Thank you and I'll be your friend till the end of time” he whispered back at her.
The next morning Noako and Wolfwood piled into the silver jeep he fixed up and rode off to the town of Oregon. Wolfwood was so happy that in couple of months he would see Millie and the others, he turned to Noako and watched her long pin-straight hair blow in the wind. “ I was wondering Noako do have other friends beside me” he pondered to her. He got no answer and he adjusted the rear view mirror. “ I only have two but I haven't seen them in five years” Noako replied as she looked out into the sand barrened planet. “ Now wonder her eyes show so much loneliness, she hides her feelings from others just like a tearless mask” Wolfwood whispered to himself.
Note: Okay I really don't know the town Wolfwood died in. Also the scene when Noako puts her nails back into her skin think how Wolverine from X-men does it. Wolfwood got a soft side and I tried to make it as sad as I could so if ya don't like then ignore it okay. Bye gotta go and hide in my secret lair.
