A Burning Love(Season 1)
~Ch.1: A Red Tainted Wedding~

I blushed every day we saw each other, in fact I went red only by thinking about the man I was about to marry that was in the church tonight at midnight I would be walking down the aisle with Carlisle, he treated me like a real daughter when I needed to escape the confines that was supposed to be my castle. The family he brought together with his newborn wife, Esme, who was uberly tame for a vampire. My navy blue natural hair was being put into pigtails that would make Edward crazy over from what Alice keeps talking about with her possible visions. I was completely nervous, but how long have I waited for this moment with Edward by my side saying that the day will come soon enough? I couldn't afford cold feet now that I could kiss him without blushing too badly. Jasper felt my emotion and supposedly inevitable reason to blush like a lunatic. The said man cleared his throat politely and all the while made my family laugh at my non-innocent thoughts about my future husband, Edward Masen. Alice then tied my pigtails in pink ribbons and began to sweep a charcoal gray eyeshadow over the lids of my eyes. Rosalie brushed my lips with a pale pink lip gloss that she recently purchased for this special occasion. To be truthful, when my family treated me like this, it made me feel more precious than spoiled that the villagers claimed by just looking at me, but never actually saw me as a human being like them. I loved Edward like nothing of this world would be able to stop tonight and that thought made me smile even more than usual. Emmett teased me by saying a remark about me thinking about Edward without a certain amount of clothes that made me smile in his perspective. My lavender irises caught the reflection of a woman in a virgin white wedding dress with an oncoming sheer veil that would end to my knees, I chose for the dress to be showing what assets I had underneath the spaghetti straps. “Don't start walking until you get to your 300th breath and don't take your hair out from that style, or else!” Alice warned me with the look like she would definitely give me a makeover if I pushed her that far, I think that's a little harsh of a big punishment coming from someone so pixie sized. I nodded and she started walking out with Jasper at her side, Esme fifteen steps later, and then Rosalie and Emmett as the last of best mans, maid of honor, and bridesmaids that were wearing a pale blue gown that hugged their curves, but had a unique type of way of being held up, all three of them are more beautiful than I can ever hope to be in the future. I sighed at the thought in disbelief and Carlisle caught my moment of despair. He gently led my face to his heart, he always gave me comfort like that when I felt negative and couldn't be near my one true love for eternity. I was currently sitting barefoot for the time being and wrapped my arms around his waist, listened to the rhythmic beat of caressing feathers like a life line.
The pale blonde then got down on one knee and slipped a pale white garter up my leg without me knowing what exactly went on until he looked back up at me and smirked like he knew something that he wasn't supposed to. The passionate glimmer in his eyes made me blush harder than normal and that was totally not cool. He held my face in his hands with a sad sparkle that now possessed his soul, but he somehow knew that the family would be reunited sooner or later and that none of them would hold me accountable for whatever was going to take place in a few moments. Carlisle put my boots on for me, even though I didn't ask him to, and then his fingers began to gently skim past the zipper of my boot. It was so wrong, but why did I want more of this touch and feel tingles electrocute my senses into overdrive from Carlisle and not Edward? I gently pushed him away and got my other boot up and zipped without his help.

I got up and Carlisle handed me my freesia bouquet that had some lilies and orange blossoms as part of the assortment. He kissed my forehead and then let the sheer cloth descend in front of my normal visionary range. In the end, both of us knew that he was only making me the blushing bride and not trying to start anything when he was completely happy and content with Esme.

It had been five minutes and we were halfway to the church when a soldier came running up for Carlisle's medical expertise for the wounded and dead in the flaming village that was now behind us with faint crackles heard in random spots. When Carlisle left, the same soldier didn't because he had news for me,as well. “Princess, please hurry to the church while you are still alive with your only future, there's nothing left for you back there.” the weak warrior managed to say before flames got closer to my location and I was frozen in my spot I was currently standing at. “PRINCESS, YOU MUST LEAVE FOR EDWARD'S SAFETY!” the same man demanded this time. I let my flowers drop to the soil as I quickly absorbed this fact in. I swiftly undid my boots and loosened my hair, I looked up at this weary man while the dry wind blew my hair, dress and veil towards the church's vacancy as I nodded to keep my precious Edward safe from any peril, even from myself. I began to run as fast as I could to make sure my family was safe, but the dress weighed me down, I sort of blame Alice of forcing me to wear a wedding dress that had many layers, instead of form fitting so I could just rip the sides and go. I lost my patience and ripped all the petticoats out from the sewn garment and continued to run through the woods to get to the church faster.

When I got there, I didn't see my man's adoring smile or my family's, I saw spine chilling evidence that I was too late to rescue them. I cried out and limped to where Edward's body replaced the table that was going to be filled with luminous candelabra and jasmine flowers with a vanilla scent lingering in the sanctuary that was now my disaster. I cried as I continued my wobbling venture to where my dead husband now lay. At that moment, I felt my soul left my body as I cried harder when I remembered the happy memories of his life that are now sad topics to discuss. I looked around more carefully and saw my family's blood staining the walls, I let my head fall onto Edward's chest at feeling dead, but with a physical appearance and the feeling of complete loneliness overwhelmed my core. I looked at the dagger that was near his arm, glinting for me to use it on my own skin. I grabbed the knife and looked at it like it was the resolution to my new problem. I turned the blade towards me and let it quickly stab my flesh and let it drown with my blood that made it suffocate in the darkness of my heart.

Edward woke up with blood red thirst in his new skin and saw my body laying on top of his, not breathing. He screamed at the top of his lungs that were mildly choked by the heavy tears, and at that moment he swore to never doubt my nightmare turned reality talks and his fangs nuzzled my throat and put my venomous cure into my body, creating a half vampire that would always live with a regret that can never be eternally erased.

We both knew that until it was actual time to try again for our relationship, that would have to be redone.
