(Hello, people! This is the Good Doctor specking! Thanks for all the feedback! Sorry, this took so long. That thing called life keeps getting in the way. Anyway, here is Chapter 5)
Morrigan woke up to see Matt sitting at the table, drinking coffee. It was daylight. Morrigan wasn't very sure of her surroundings. She saw she was sitting on the floor by up against the screen door. She remembered very little of the night before. It all seemed a blur. She remembered pain, she remembered a struggle on the floor, she remembered cutting herself, and she remembered killing. She stood up and graphed her head. She felt like she had a major hangover.
Morrigan: What happen last night?
Matt: You mean you don't remember?
Morrigan: Only a little…
Matt: I'll tell you on the way there.
Morrigan: Where are we going?
Matt: My place. There we can get good food, good coffee, (Matt pours the coffee out) and a change of cloths.
Morrigan: All right. That would be nice.
Matt paid for the rooms, and the cup of coffee, and the two where on their ways. The two walked onto the road, which brought them to the hotel.
Morrigan: Will I meet your father?
Matt: I hope not. My dad's real uptight, he wouldn't approve of me being with a women he didn't know first.
Morrigan: I know the feeling.
There was a short pause. Morrigan wasn't sure she wanted to ask the next question. What happen last night? She was sure she went into her succubus form, and lost control. Yet, Matt was still alive. She had to know.
Morrigan: What happen last night?
Matt: I made a promise.
Morrigan: To do what?
Matt: Help you. I know you're a succubus; you don't have to hide it. I've started to feel very close to you Morrigan, and I want to help you overcome whatever is bothering you.
Morrigan: Was anyone killed?
Matt: Someone found ashes in the shape of a man on a near by balcony.
Morrigan remembered, for the first time, what happening when she was a succubus. She killed Core. She killed him, drained him of his life force, and then made an advance on Matt. But he stopped her, and made the promises he just talked about.
The two walked for a half an hour or so. By then they reached the city. Then they took a cab to Matt's home. Neither said anything to each other on the way there, they where to rapped up in their on thoughts. Even though they where thinking about each other.
Matt: (Gets out of the cab) Here we are. (Hands the driver some money)
Morrigan: (Gets out of the car) It looks like a very nice place.
Matt: Well, Dad is a rich man, so there's not much he can't buy. But that doesn't mean much. Even with all that money, my Dad's still an asshole.
The two pass through the gate, and up the path towards the house. Matt went to the door and knocked. An old man answered. He wore a black outfit, had white hair, wore glasses, and had a small go-tee growing.
Winston: Matt! Your home. Your father was very worried. Who is she? Is she the one you wore looking for?
Matt: That's right. Winston this is Morrigan, Morrigan this is Winston. My butler, and close friend.
Morrigan: It's nice to meet you.
Winston: Come in, please!
The two walked in. Morrigan was a bit spell-bond by the house. A very nice looking place. Paintings on the wall. Gold was built into many of the surroundings. It was a work of art compared to that dusty old castle. This train of thought was disturbed by a thunderous voice.
Voice: Matthew! Where have you been?
At the top of the stair way was a man in a blue outfit. He was a bit over-weight and was bald. His face showed numerous sighs of ageing. It was likely he was only in his mid-forties, but the man looks like he was in his late fifties. This is Matt's Father.
Father: Who is the girl?
Matt: Her name is Morrigan.
Father: She not another trap you've brought home, is she?
Matt: Since when have I ever brought a "trap" home before?
Father: (To Morrigan) Cover those things up girl, they may fall out. (Back to Matt) You can do better then this!
Matt: Don't talk about her that way.
Father: I am a very respected man, Matthew; I can't let my son be since with women like that.
Matt: Dad, I didn't come here to have a fight with you.
Father: (Yelling) We wouldn't be fighting if you hadn't brought that piece of trash home!
Matt: (Yelling back) Morrigan is not a piece of trash! She's a wonderful person, and a much better person then you!
Father: (Normal Voice) People aren't just wonderful because they hand out blowjob, son.
Matt: (Yelling) How could you say such a thing!
Matt stormed up the stairs, Morrigan followed close behind. Matt's father, Edger, watch as the two go up the stairs. He looks down at Winston and sighs.
Edger: None of this would have happen if his mother were still alive.
Morrigan was very insulted by what Matt's father said. She couldn't believe that someone could make such assumptions by just the way someone looked. She turned a corner at the top of the stairs, and show a door shut. She figured this was Matt's room so she walked up to it and went in. She saw Matt sitting on his bed, smoking a cigarette.
Morrigan: I didn't know you smoked.
Matt: Only when I'm pissed.
Morrigan: Your father is a very rude man.
Matt: Hit the nail right on the head. (Takes another puff)
Morrigan: Why are you still living with your father?
Matt: I'm here until I can make enough money to get into collage.
Morrigan: Why doesn't your father just pay for it?
Matt: He thinks I should make my own money. He stopped giving me cash when I was sixteen. (Takes one more puff and puts out the cigarette) I'm going to get some things together, and then I'm going to take a shower. Do you want one?
Morrigan: That would be nice.
Matt: Then after that, we're leavening, if you don't mind.
Morrigan: Not at all. We're we going?
Matt: (Looks Morrigan in the eyes) Somewhere special. A place where I can help you with your… problem. (Kisses Morrigan on the cheek, smiles, and walks out the door)
Morrigan rested her head on the wall and smile for the first time in a good long while. Morrigan had anything but a normal life, so far. But that really does depend on what you think normal is. But in Morrigan eyes, it wasn't normal. She closed her eyes, and thought not of her evil instincts that had haunted her for so long, but of Matt, and in that monument, she was happy.
Matt let the cold water hit him in the face. Showers always cleared his head. The water really calms you down, plus it's a lot healthier then smoking. The water washed away the chaos of the late morning. He didn't think about anything other then where the water fell on his body. He was just Matt. Not the son of Edger Gover, not responsible for a darker side of a wonderful woman. He was just him. Matt stared to hum a little tune as he started to wash himself.
After the two took there showers and Matt packed up a few things, the two headed to the front door, when Matt was stopped by his father's strong voice.
Edger: Matt.
Matt: What do you want?
Edger: Where are you going, with that girl?
Matt: Morrigan, go. You don't won't to get involved in this.
Edger: No, don't go. I like to know a little more about Morrigan. (To Morrigan) Do you have a job?
Matt: Morrigan, don't answer!
Morrigan: No.
Edger: Have you ever been in a relationship before?
Morrigan: Not really.
Edger: (Shakes his head, and turns to Matt) I'm disappointed in you.
Once he said that, Matt was filled with uncontrollable hatered. "You not supposed to be this mad at your parents." Was the first thought that went through his head. His father had never been there for him. He never did anything for him. He was really just the man who would take control of the company after he was dead. Matt fist curl into balls. His eyes started to shake. He graded his teeth. Things where find before his Mom died, she was the only thing that kept his Dad from saying the things he saided. Matt didn't care, what happen to him. He wasn't his son. He let go and punched his father right in the face. Knocking him to the ground. Matt's father just starred at this son. A look of total disbelief on his face. Matt turn to Morrigan.
Matt: Let's go. (The two walk out the door)
The two walk out of the house and up to the garage. Matt pulled a small device out of his pocket, pressed a button on it, and the garage door open. Matt was looking down at his feet. He looked sad. Morrigan wasn't sure why. He really had no reason to be upset. His father deserved what he got. The two stepped into the red car owned by Matt, (He was I the driver's seat, of course) and drove off onto the highway. They went on for about 10 minutes, before tears started to form in Matt's eyes. He pulled the car on to the side of the road. He turned it off, and broke down and started to cry. Morrigan, again, wasn't sure why, but nonetheless, she comforted him. Like a mother would comforted a child. The two sat there, with Matt crying on Morrigan shoulder.
(Well? Do you like? Review please. Sorry, again, for taking so long. School should be out soon, so I may have more time to right. On a side note, from now on there will be a thing called a stinger at the end of each chapter. It's just a comic note, a funny little nothingness. Just wanted to tell ya'. E-mail is coolmax_zero@hotmail.com I will now leave you with the first stinger.)
Stinger: "Maybe you should do something about that ALIEN INSECT on your neck"
