Author's Note: This story is about a pairing between Rikuo and Pyron. Yes, I know that a relationship between the two may seem impossible, but hey, that is what fan fiction stories are all about! This tale has no plot to speak of, but if you think one exists, then more power to you!

Author's Rant: I remember once during the Darkstalker television series, Pyron's brother came to Earth for a visit. Pyron was so anxious about it that he called a truce between him and the other Darkstalkers. All the Darkstalkers were invited to Pyron's place for dinner and Rikuo was seated next to Pyron's brother. Well, Pyron's brother seemed a little too interested in Rikuo, if you know what I mean. He actually told him, "You know, you're quite attractive." Rikuo responded to him in a very 'I am so used to that comment remark,' "Yes, I know." I have never forgotten that scene because it had me rolling on the floor in laughter and disbelief.

Therefore, in honor of that unforgettable scene, I give you Like fire for Water. It would have been about Rikuo and Pyron's brother, but I forgot the character's name. We will all just have to settle for Pyron, even though Pyron's brother was more powerful than he was.

He had been swimming near the coastline of a local fishing village, when the nets had come from up above. The weighted, human device wrapped itself tightly around him, dragging him around the water. He struggled to be free, but his efforts caused him to be tangled up more. Already, the coarse, metal links of the net were cutting into his tender, green flesh. One of his arms were caught behind of his back, his fins tore in several places. The net tightened again and Rikuo screamed as his arm was wrenched out of its socket. Blinding pain coursed throughout him. He gave up his struggles, realizing that they were hopeless.

The net was being drawn in. Rikuo felt the crisp, cold air hit his skin as the net pulled free of the water. The net creaked and swayed. Rikuo's body thumped against the side of a wooden surface, a boat, he presumed. He was hauled on board. A collective gasp from the boat's human occupants startled him.

"It's a Darkstalker!" one of them shouted.

"Get rid of it! Its bad luck!" another said.

"Kill it!"

Rikuo saw someone holding a length of rope taut in their hands. No one protested the suggestion that the Darkstalker was to be killed. Even now, a chant had risen.

"Kill it! Kill the Darkstalker!"

Rikuo began his struggles anew. They meant to slay him. It would be foolish of him not to fight for his life. His efforts were once again done in vain, for the metal net was still around him, hindering his movements.

He could feel the crew's hands upon him. A kick landed in his ribs. Someone struck him across the face. At the same time, the rope pulled taut across his throat, the metal net causing the constriction around his throat to double.

Rikuo was blacking out. He felt his life draining from him.

"We'll throw him overboard," he heard someone say.

"No, wait. I want a souvenir." Rikuo could see the flash of a blade. "I'm going to cut his damn-" the crewmember's words trailed off as a large fireball descended from the sky and crashed on to the deck of the ship. Its impact made the ship shake. The men panicked as the deck was set on fire.

"Abandon ship!" one of Rikuo's attackers yelled. The men jumped over the sides, leaving Rikuo to his fiery doom. Rikuo closed his eyes. There was no hope for him now.

All of a sudden, Rikuo felt himself being lifted into the air. He opened his eyes and gasped in pain as he fell free from the net.

"What have we here?"

Rikuo struggled to his feet, but the pain of his dislocated shoulder sent him to his knees.

"An injured specimen."

Rikuo looked up at his rescuer.

"An attractive, injured specimen."

Rikuo stared in shock at the creature. He looked like a huge orange being with two long horns. A bright yellow glow surrounded him. The heat that came from the mysterious creature was immense.

"Who are you?" Rikuo asked. "What are you?"

The mass of fire laughed, its voice sounding all powerful, and deep. "I am Pyron."

Rikuo leaned back on his heels. He was getting light headed.

"I am here to challenge you." Pyron seemed to be indifferent to his condition. In fact, he seemed amused by Rikuo's pained features.

"You can't be serious," Rikuo told him.

"Oh, but I am. Now stand and fight me," he commanded.

Rikuo laughed. Was he brain damaged? Couldn't he see that Rikuo was as helpless as a newborn seal? "I can't," he said.

"Humph," Pyron tilted his head and snorted. "I come all this way across the galaxy for a challenge and none can be found to please me. I should have listened to my brother and stayed home!"

Rikuo stared at him and asked in utter incredulity, "Are you one of those crazed Darkstalker demons that Mei-Ling and Hsien-Ko are always talking about?"

"I assure you that I am no demon. I am not even of this world."

"You've got that right," Rikuo muttered beneath his breath.

The creature tilted his head again. He had heard what Rikuo said. He crouched down before him and looked into his eyes. "You truly do not comprehend the power that is standing before you."

Rikuo shuddered. Pyron reached out a hand to touch his face. Rikuo closed his eyes, fearing that the creature's fiery body would burn him.

"Don't!" Rikuo warned, and flinched when Pyron's fingers glided over his cheekbone. Pyron's touch was surprisingly warm. However, it was not warm enough to harm him.

Pyron's deep laughter unsettled him. "You thought that I was going to hurt you. Did you think that I would have this power and not know how to control it?"

Rikuo did not answer him.

Pyron stood up and before Rikuo could mutter a protest, he was thrown over the giant's shoulder. Rikuo bit his lip against the pain as his injured arm objected to the sudden move.

"What the hell are you doing?" he asked through clenched teeth.

Pyron had risen into the air. Rikuo clutched on to him with his good arm, his claws almost ripping into the creature's fire orange back.

"Where are you taking me?" Rikuo prompted. This was seriously freaking him out.

"To my temporary home," Pyron stated. "There you will stay until you have recuperated. Then, I shall challenge you again and you will fight me."

"No," Rikuo told him. "I don't need your help, and I don't want to fight with you. Put me down."

"You are not in the position to argue," Pyron informed him. "It is best that you accept it quickly. I have made up my mind on this matter."

Rikuo rolled his eyes. This was ridiculous. Where were Felicia and Donovan when he needed them?

Rikuo could do nothing as the burning boat and the safety of the water disappeared below. He had become this alien's prisoner, and there was no one who could help him. He could only imagine what horrors awaited him within the creature's lair.

*****

"AAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Rikuo's voice echoed through out the posh roman bath. "You bastard!"

Pyron laughed at the pain stricken creature. He had set his arm back into its socket. A painful ordeal for his handsome hostage. "Such a quick tongue. It makes me think that you are strong enough to fight."

Rikuo clutched at his arm and winced as his joint protested. It was very sore. There was no way that he would be able to defend himself against the mad alien.

"Why don't you go and find someone else to fight?" he suggested.

"Someone else like who?"

Rikuo named a few Darkstalkers, the baddies mostly. He had not meant anything by it. He even mentioned Donovan and Felicia, as a joke.

"Hmmm," Pyron said. "Are their powers…satisfactory?"

"Oh, yeah, they're very strong. I should know. They're my friends."

"Your friends," Pyron repeated with interest. "Are these friends of yours exceptionally stronger than you are?"

Rikuo snickered under his breath and said, "Okay, sure." As if I would ever admit to that, he thought.

Pyron contemplated on this for a moment. "I do not understand this concept. What do these friends do for you?"

"Well, they make me feel good."

"In what way?" Pyron inquired.

Rikuo was getting tired of this game. "You sure do ask a lot of questions."

"Perhaps I should ask this Felicia and this Donovan in what way do they make you feel good."

"Good luck in finding them," Rikuo muttered.

"I do not think that you are taking me seriously. I think that I shall kill you."

"What?" Rikuo's eyes opened as wide as saucers.

"Yes. I grow bored with you," Pyron explained. He raised his arm out towards Rikuo, his fist engulfed in flames. "Stand straight; I don't want to burn my house."

Rikuo was afraid. Pyron was crazy.

The alien sent a spiral of fire towards Rikuo. Rikuo closed his eyes against the impending heat and was startled when the blistering pain did not even touch his body. He heard Pyron's evil laughter. He forced his eyes open and bristled when he saw the alien staring at him, his head thrown back in amusement.

"You actually thought that I was going to kill you!"

Rikuo snarled at him. Pyron laughed some more. Flames danced from his eyes in a morbid simulation of tears. Rikuo found nothing humorous about the alien's crude joke. He slid down a wall and sat on the cold, gray, stone floor. His skin felt a little dry, a result of being out of the water too long. Coupled with Pyron's proclivity for heat, it made his sensitive skin ache for moisture.

"You know, Felicia and Donovan would have never pulled such a rotten trick on me."

"Yes, well I am not this Felicia and this Donovan." Pyron crouched before him and said, "You look a little…pale."

How observant of you, Rikuo thought with annoyance. "I need water," he said.

"I have access to lots of water. An unnecessary element, if you ask me," he commented.

"Where is it?" Rikuo asked him.

"This is such a big place. I think that you will find it amusing to search for the water on your own." Pyron stood and walked towards an open balcony door. The alien had chosen a posh roman villa as his living quarters. Who ever had resided there before must have been loaded with money. The palatial hideaway was literally dripping with lavish décor. "I have important matters to tend to, challenges, you understand."

Rikuo raised a brow. He was going off to fight. Why didn't he just say so? He was such a strange creature. Rikuo watched as Pyron bounded on to the stone balcony railing. His fiery form brightened as he ascended into the air and vanished from Rikuo's sight.

Rikuo sighed and rose to explore the alien's home away from home.

The thought of escaping never occurred to him.

Later, he would wonder why he had not thought of it at all.

Rikuo spent at least two hours wandering up and down the vast villa. He saw golden crests hanging in almost every room that he entered. He had a hunch that the place had once belonged to nobility. He wouldn't be surprised if the alien had seized it from some small baron, or even a prince. Some of the portraits that hung on the wall sported large burn holes over the faces of the people who posed in them. The destruction had clearly been made my Pyron. Rikuo mused that he probably did not find them to his taste, and so had destroyed them.

Rikuo found a small pool of water in a large inside bath on the third floor. The room was made of pure peach marble. The fixtures appeared to be made out of gold. One side of the room was covered in mirrors. Beneath the mirrors stretched a plush, ivory carpet. Fluffy white towels hung on a gold rod near a peach marble bench.

"Wow," Rikuo's awe filled word echoed around the room. "No wonder he chose this place to live in."

It certainly was impressive.

After a few minutes of visual indulgence, Rikuo stepped forward to test the temperature of the water. He dipped a hand within it. It was rather cold since no one had used it for a while. Still, Rikuo was eager to get in. He eased into the pool of water and released a sigh as the cool liquid replenished his parched skin. He sank below the surface of water. When he resurfaced, he gasped in surprise as he saw Pyron standing before the pool.

Rikuo backed away. Pyron tilted his head in curiosity at his actions.

"Back so soon?" Rikuo asked.

"These creatures of Earth make my job terribly easy."

For some reason, the way that Pyron grinned made Rikuo quite uneasy. The alien was up to something. He looked far too jovial for his own good. The conversation that they had had previously came back to haunt him.

Why don't you go and find someone else to fight?

Someone else like who?

He had told him about Felicia and Donovan.

Are their powers…satisfactory?

Oh, yeah, they're very strong. I should know. They're my friends.

"Felicia and Donovan-"

"Are dead," Pyron announced.

Rikuo shook his head in doubt. They couldn't be dead. Pyron had to be lying. He had lied to him before. He took pleasure in startling him. He enjoyed seeing the multitude of emotions on Rikuo's face. He had this fascination because he had no true emotions of his own. Rikuo wondered if that was the reason why he killed. The pain and suffering of others was merely an interest.

"I don't believe you," he told him.

Pyron laughed. "You know me well. I did rough them up a bit. It will take some time before they heal."

Rikuo let out a sigh of relief. He was glad that Felicia and Donovan were okay.

Pyron tilted his head at him. "You care about them."

"Yes. They are my friends."

"If I had killed them, would it have upset you?"

"Yes, damn it!"

"Hmmm."

"I don't expect a creature like you to understand." Rikuo then said without thinking, "For an all powerful being, you sure can be brainless at times."

Pyron's body lighted with angry flames. The raging inferno lasted for only a brief moment. Rikuo knew that it was an indication of his irritation. Pyron calmly paced the length of the sunken pool. He looked like a prowling tiger. Rikuo relaxed back into the water and laughed.

"Silly alien. What is the matter? Afraid of a little water? Afraid that you'll be extinguished?" Rikuo laughed again at his joke. This was too funny. The big and all-powerful alien was pissed because he could not get into the water to kill Rikuo. It was too much.

Rikuo was laughing so hard that tears were falling from his eyes. His tear-blurred vision was probably the reason why he did not see Pyron stop his pacing. However, he did hear something sizzle. He stopped in mid laugh and watched as the mighty Pyron stepped into the water. Swirls of steam rose from the water's surface. The water around him bubbled to a boil. Rikuo could actually feel the water temperature rising.

"I am not afraid of anything. I simply do not like water. It is so…wet," Pyron stated.

Rikuo swallowed past the large, invisible lump in his throat. Perhaps he should not have taunted the alien.

Pyron continued to walk towards him. Rikuo scrambled to get out of the pool, but Pyron had managed to grab him around the waist and pull him back in. Rikuo thought that Pyron was going to boil him alive; but Pyron had other plans for the young Darkstalker.

Pyron turned him around and pulled him up against his body. Rikuo could feel something hard pressing into his belly. The realization of what Pyron intended to do to him sent a current of fear through out him.

"No, don't!" he pleaded, but Pyron was already inside of him, invading him, his huge length burning a trail of warmth throughout his being. Rikuo cried out in shock at the intense heat. It seemed that Pyron had intentionally altered the temperature of his member, just to punish Rikuo for his insult.

"Pyron, no, stop!"

"Ah!" Rikuo cried out and clenched his teeth as Pyron drove into him. His brow furrowed as Pyron's violent strokes tore through his body. Pyron pulled him more firmly over his rod. He tilted his head in enthrallment at the myriad of expressions that crossed Rikuo's features.

"Fascinating…," the alien muttered. He was intrigued with the intensity of the handsome monster's suffering. It made him want Rikuo even more.

He deliberately increased the size of his body, causing Rikuo's severely abused passage to distend. Rikuo arched his back and screamed. His eyes grew wet with tears. Pyron snagged one of the salty drops with his tongue. It sizzled on contact.

Rikuo dropped his head in the crook of Pyron's neck. His claws sank into Pyron's back. Pyron did not feel a thing.

"Pyron-sama…please, no more," he begged.

"Pyron-sama," Pyron repeated. "I like the sound of that." To show his appreciation for Rikuo's respect, Pyron placed his hands on Rikuo's buttocks and angled his cock against the sensitive gland within him.

"N-No! Ah!"

His screams were driving Pyron crazy. He wanted to hear more of them. "Louder," he urged him.

Rikuo almost fell apart. A swirl of heat was forming within his belly. It had started in his nether regions and was working its way up to every one of his limbs. The sensations were so severe that every inch of Rikuo's body trembled. A wave of pleasure coursed through him. He shuddered in an epileptic fit. His cock jerked. Cum erupted on to both of their stomachs. The shock of his first climax left him speechless. He remained lifeless, slumped against Pyron as the alien continued to pound within him.

Pyron shifted his spent hostage. He was disappointed that Rikuo had given in so quickly. Especially since, he was not finished with him yet.

Rikuo clutched at Pyron's shoulders in bewilderment as the fiery alien lifted him out of the water and deposited him on the outer rim of the pool. Pyron pushed him down on to his back and shoved his legs apart.

He grabbed Rikuo's spent cock and took it into his mouth. Rikuo trembled as the scorched heat of his mouth surrounded his limp organ. It felt as if tiny, licks of warmth were fluttering against him. Rikuo knew that they were licks of flame. Pyron had tempered them so that they would not burn him. Again, Rikuo wondered how it was possible that the alien could control such power. His speculation did not last long, because Pyron's eager mouth was making him lose all of his concentration.

"Pyron-sama…" Rikuo panted.

Pyron's sexual stamina was unbelievable. Rikuo was on the verge of exhaustion and Pyron was still full of energy.

Pyron caressed Rikuo's inner thigh. He knew that the water creature was sensitive there. He had made it his business to know everything that could trigger the young monster's emotional reactions. Such was his wisdom at reading the weaker species' sentiments.

"More," the young monster cried. "More!"

He had become as insatiable as Pyron. Pyron easily granted him his wishes.

He worked his mouth over the handsome creature's organ until it jerked profusely into his throat. Load after load of his precious cream hissed on Pyron's fiery tongue. Pyron swallowed every drop, swirling his tongue over the throbbing slit of Rikuo's cock head. Rikuo sucked in some air through his teeth. His cock was sore, but pleasantly so. Now if only Pyron would release the tender appendage, before he did serious damage.

"Your body's reactions are quite fascinating," the alien, informed him with a smile. "You will stay here with me, yes?"

Rikuo was surprised that he was asking him instead of telling him. What brought this on? "What about that challenge you wanted?" Rikuo inquired of him.

"It is clear to me that you are far too weak to be of any challenge to me. I have decided that you will stay here."

"Why?"

Pyron made a small sound of irritation and answered, "You amuse me, and therefore, I need you to be available to me whenever it is convenient."

Rikuo grinned at his lengthy reply. Pyron stared at him, perplexed.

"You want me to stay with you and be your lover," Rikuo told him. "Is that it?"

Pyron's eyes narrowed. "Yes!" he said rather quickly, tightening his grip on Rikuo's now flaccid cock.

Rikuo winced and eased his hand off him. "I don't know…"

"I will give you anything that you desire," Pyron said desperately, then cleared his throat and straightened his shoulders to gain back some of his composure. "I am the most powerful being in the universe."

Rikuo thought on his proposal. He was torn between saying yes and telling the alien to go to hell. After what they had done together, the mere notion of leaving the strange invader left him feeling melancholy. What they had experienced had been indescribable. Rikuo knew that he could not go back to his home and pretend that what occurred between them had not happened. Besides, the unpredictable alien needed someone to watch over him. Rikuo could keep him from causing trouble among the masses, or limit Darkstalker victims from becoming casualties of Pyron's challenge frenzy. The more he thought about it, the more he reasoned that staying was the right thing to do. The benefits of having him as a lover were also a plus.

Rikuo's silence must have been too long for the fiery beast to endure. Pyron snorted thick curls of smoke through his nostrils and said angrily, "You will stay here with me! Do you understand? I will make you!"

Rikuo rolled his eyes at the surly creature and told him, "If you insist."

His agreement seemed to pacify the brawny alien. Pyron pushed his chest out as if he had accomplished some great obstacle. Rikuo shook his head in disbelief. For a powerful alien, he sure could act like an arrogant, spoiled brat. Nevertheless, it was all worth it.

The End

I figure that I have said all could say in the beginning so all I have to say now is thanks for reading my homage to Rikuo. ^_^
