Chapter 6~~The First of Many Slayings

The sun had long ago set leaving the once bright blue sky a clear expanse of blackness speckled with tiny diamond like stars. As the night deepened, a thick milky gray fog rolled in consuming all within its silky masses.

The cemetery has always been an eerie place in day or night. With the blanket of fog that crept over the tombstones of those deceased, the scene appeared to be out of a b-rated horror film.

Three girls wandered though the creepy graveyard in caution.

"I feel them, Alex. There are vamps in this general area. I can't quite pinpoint their locations, but if we continue to travel in this general direction, they will make their appearance," Serena said as she concentrated on reading the locations of their enemies with her heightened senses.

"Alright then, I guess we follow your instincts. They have yet to steer us wrong," Alex commented back as she trailed behind the blonde haired youth.

"How are we supposed to do this? Do we just wander around here and wait 'till they come and attack us? Minna, fill me in here!" Hitomi exclaimed as she followed the two experienced slayers.

"Yes, we wait. These vamps have the same kind of tracking sense as we do. It's how these things work out; they want to kill us, we want to annihilate them," Alex explained.

"Ok,… I guess," Hitomi mumbled out.

"Don't worry. We're all like this on our first hunt. It's almost like a tradition. You'll fall into place soon enough. I can sense great power in you, Hitomi; I know you will catch on immediately. You have the desire for combat just as much as our dear Alex does," Serena replied with a gentle smile.

"A slayer in mind, body and spirit," she finished off.

"Nicely put, Hun, nicely put," Alex commented back.

After a few more minutes of wandering, the sound of a struggle broke the haunting silence.

Noticing a pack of vamps feeding on a young girl off in the distance, Alex gave Serena the signal to surround them. Serena expertly slunk her way to the left of the group of vampires. Alex walked over to the frightened Hitomi.

"Don't be scared, girl; you can do this I know you can," she whispered.

"Yeah, I know I'm just a little nervous is all," the jade-eyed girl replied.

"Just follow me and do what I do. You'll catch on pretty fast. Remember to be quiet while we sneak up on them. If we give away our positions before it's time, things can get messy."

"Right."

Both of the girls moved quickly through the tombstones to take up their positions.

Six vampires all appeared to be in their early twenties, good looking, and male. They were camped out near a family enclosure. Two of the vamps were sitting on a white washed bench under a tree next to the enclosure. Lying across their laps was a girl around the age of seventeen. She was pretty with long black hair that hung down in a dark wave. She was thin with long toned legs. She was a picture perfect girl, the perfect kill for a vampire of their stature.

Looking across the expanse, Alex gave Serena the go signal. Returning another hand gesture Serena began her part. She took on the look of someone scared and lost. She became the damsel in distress that was often characterized in many children's tales. She wandered into the open area in the vampire's view. Holding herself and shaking, Serena began her act.

One of the vampires noticed her; he quickly went to her side.

"Are you alright, M'lady" he asked chivalrously.

"I'm scared, lost, and all alone," she replied with fake tears springing to her eyes and a quiver in her bottom lip.

"Well, follow me then. I'll make you feel safe."

"Alright," Serena said as she followed the young looking vampire.

When she was in range of the pack, she fell to the ground holding her ankle hissing in pain.

"Here, let me help you," the vampire exclaimed as he began to get near Serena's level.

"I don't think so, Creep," she shouted as she swept her leg out, taking down the vampire. With a swift movement not many could see, she pulled a silver blade out of her boot and tossed it nonchalantly into the vampire's chest killing it instantly and bring attention to herself from the other five vampires.

"It's one of those slayer bitches," one of the vampires yelled out as he ran out to Serena.

"It's not only one slayer bitch, it's the whole fucking clan," Alex screamed out from her hiding spot behind a large rock.

Pulling out her black and silver 45 mm colt Alex took aim and shot one of the remaining five down. Two silver bullets, both direct hits, struck the vamp in the head and through the heart.

"Dusted," she mumbled to herself with a smirk.

Hitomi sat behind her rock every so often peeking out at the fight.

'Okay, I can do this,' she thought to herself. With one more glance at the slaying, she knew she was ready. Pulling the silver knife out of her back pocket, she felt the vision that was to come.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Hitomi's Vision *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

The foggy graveyard, the body of the young girl, the white washed bench, Serena, Alex, three vampires, the rock in which she hid behind, herself fingering the blade of a silver dagger.

Hitomi watched as she looked out from behind her rock.

Serena was in a hand-to-hand combat with one of the remaining vampires. She seemed to be handling herself well.

Alex was also in a fierce combat with what seemed to be the head vampire, as it was the one she'd earlier seen feasting upon the flesh and blood of the young black-haired maiden.

Serena took down her target. Alex was near finishing hers off as well. But hidden in the shadows of a cypress tree crept the sixth and last vampire. The vampire crept up to the unsuspecting slayer.

"Alex-san, watch out!" Hitomi screamed out as the vampire leapt out at the more experienced girl.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* End Vision *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Hitomi awoke from her vision with the dagger in her hand, its edges glistening in the gentle rays of the full moon.

Remembering what happened in her vision, Hitomi looked out from her rock. She noticed both Alex and Serena were in close range battles. Serena took her opponent down with a sai pierced through his heart. Alex was delivering the final blow when Hitomi caught something moving out of the corner or her eye. It was the vampire that was about to leap at Alex. Before she had time to think she screamed out to her new friend. "Alex-san, watch out!"

As if it were in slow motion, Hitomi took the dagger that sat in her hand by the tip of the blade; she tossed it like a dart, as she'd seen Gaddes do so many times before, towards the creature of the night. The sharp blade pierced threw the flesh of the vampire. It screamed in painful agony. Slowly, as its body neared the ground, it turned to dust. The silver blade that had done its masters bidding landed loudly on the hard ground in a pile of ashes. The wind picked up faintly, slowly blowing the remains away leaving only a spotless, gleaming, silver dagger.

"Oh my, God, Hitomi! Alex, are you two alright?" Serena cried out after the remains were gone.

"I'm ok, Rena. Thanks to Tomi Girl. She saved my life," Alex said gently as she gave Hitomi one of her award winning smiles.

Hitomi didn't say anything at first. She stared slack jawed at both Alex and her hands and then at the dagger that laid motionless on the hard brown earth. As if snapped out of a stupor, a bright smile enveloped her face.

"That was so invigorating and…and fun. Can we do it again?" Hitomi inquired with a lively laugh as she walked over towards Alex and picked up her dagger. Wiping it casually on her pant leg, she stuck it back into her back pocket.

"I think I know what you meant by this being something I'd like. That was so much fun. The vision I got before the attack stunk but it gave away the vampires position. We've got to do this again tomorrow night," Hitomi rambled on, energetically.

"Hitomi, you have problems," Serena said calmly.

Alex turned toward Hitomi and gave her a high five. "Rock on, Girl!" she said merrily. "Welcome to my world!" she laughed joyously.

Serena looked over towards the pair of energetic teens and rolled her eyes. "Oh, God help me. Save me now," she exclaimed to the heavens.

"I thought of a new nickname for you, Hitomi," Alex said.

"Yea," Hitomi replied curiously. "What is it?"

"I'm callin' you Tommy Girl from now on."

"Ryoumi, I like it Alex-chan."

"Take me now, Lord. I don't know how much more of their uncharacteristic sappiness I can take," Serena mumbled once again to the heavens.

"Are you two quite done?" Serena snapped.

"Yea, yea, yea, just remember next time your sappy, we just might join in," Alex threatened her friend as smirk spread across her face.

"Hardy, har, har! Let's get back to the house," Serena replied as she crossed her arms in front of her chest.

The three friends picked up their discarded weapons and then trudged their way back through the forest like cemetery, back towards to mansion that was Alex's home.

Up in the treetops sat a familiar figure of a once evil witch. The burgundy haired woman smiled down at the three slayers.

"I knew she could do it. She has the spirit of a great slayer; she's rich in 'slayeresque' qualities. Those three will fulfill the prophecies; Hitomi the seeress, Serena the epithet, and Alex the power."

With this being said, a maroon light filled the branches of the tree the figure sat in. When the light faded away, so did the figure.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Back at Mansion de la West *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Upon entering the main foyer of the West estates, Joseph, the head butler, greeted them.

"Greetings, Mistress Alexandria, Mistress Serena, Mistress Hitomi. Ladies as you know the rules of the manor." Joseph said.

"Yes, Joseph," Both Alex and Serena chorused,

"As the clock strikes midnight,

All those that are inside,

Must stay the night."

"Mistress Willow has come back from her duties and will be waiting for you in the lounge," Joseph finished as he bowed in respect and left the room.

"I should have known Willow would be here," Alex said as the three began walking towards the lounge. "Tommy Girl, don't worry about Joseph knowing who you were, I'm sure Willow told him," she continued when she saw Hitomi open her mouth with the beginnings of a question.

"Where did that rule come from Alex-chan?" Hitomi asked her new friend

"It's been a tradition of this house to accommodate all of its late night guest. It has been a custom since the manor was built and it is just something I've chosen to continue for fun. The saying is hanging up near the grandfather clock in the foyer. There's also one on a plaque hanging in the main lounge too."

The three young teens continued to make their way towards the main lounge where Willow waited for them. Upon entering the room, Willow put the book she had been reading down and stood up to greet the three slayers.

"Congrats on completing a successful hunt. You took out six powerful vamps tonight, girls. Hitomi, a special congrats to you on your first kill," Willow said authoritatively.

"Thanks, Willow-chan," Hitomi responded.

"Yeah, thanks Wills. The night goes to Tommy Girl, if it wasn't for her I'd have been a vamp dish," Alex said with a grimace.

"Yeah, Hitomi here is the true Seeress! She had a vision in the middle of our battle and it saved Alex."

"Wait, how did you know about the…the…?" Willow laughed at Hitomi's question.

"You're not the only one who sees things, Hitomi," Willow said with a smile. "Oh, and the girl got home okay. Just incase you wanted to know."

Hitomi nodded albeit a little confused about the extent of Willow's powers.

"Well, anyways I think its time we celebrate our victory and initiate Hitomi into the slayers clan," Willow said.

"Right, let's go to the kitchen and get the materials. We can initiate Tommy Girl in my room," Alex said.

"Right, I have the movie in my bag up in my room," Willow said as she then walked out of the lounge and up to her room where she grabbed a DVD and then went over towards Alex's room.

Serena, Alex, and Hitomi walked out of the room and down towards the kitchen where they raided the pantry and the liquor cabinet.

"What do we need all of this liquor for?" Hitomi asked.

"Your initiation, that's what," Serena chirped out.

"But I'm too young to be drinking," Hitomi whined.

"Oh posh, a little bit of alcohol won't kill you," Alex said in a fake English accent. "Unless you drive."

"Fine, fine. But if I get a hangover, I'm gonna pop you one," Hitomi mumbled out.

"Whatever! I'd like to see you get a good one on me with a hangover," Alex laughed out.

The three girls grabbed their snacks and several bottles of liquor and then made it up towards Alex's room. When they got there, Willow had a coffee table set out in front of an entertainment center. Huge faux fur sitting pillows lay strewn out over the floor. On the table sat twelve shot glasses and three empty bowls. Willow was also changed into a pair of pajamas. Wine colored silk pajama bottoms and a matching long sleeved button up top. Dropping off the snacks and liquor, the three girls then went to change into their own pj's. Alex grabbed hers out of her closet and then went to the bathroom adjoining her room. Serena and Hitomi went down to their own rooms, changed into theirs as well, and then made their way back to Alex's room. Alex wore a pair of red pants with a matching tight spaghetti strapped tank top. Both were decorated with black dragons. Serena came into the room dressed in purple boxer shorts and a pink t-shirt set. Her pj's were decorated in white daisies and pink and purple butterflies. She also had an azure robe on. Hitomi came in with a pair of silk pants much like the ones Willow was wearing and a spaghetti strap top. Hers were black with silver stars and crescent moons. She also had on a matching silk robe.

"Ok, Tommy Girl, this is your initiation. We will be playing a drinking game. The rules are simple; every time the word 'fuck' is said in the movie, you have a take a shot. You have a choice of drinks. We have tequila, whiskey and vodka... all three components of our lovely Willow's favorite drink, the Three Wiseman." Alex announced.

"And the movie will be…'Fight Club'," Willow finished off.

The drinks were poured three shots each, and the bowls filled with Doritos, pretzels and Oreos. Serena put in the movie and the game began.

Three full bottles of liquor later, the four girls were drunk out of their minds, laughing about all the weird things known to man, such as belly button lint, and the word broccoli. Willow seemed to be the least wasted out of the bunch since she could carry her liquor better. Serena and Alex looked to be doing ok. Hitomi, on the other hand, was wasted beyond recognition; she had hopped on top of the coffee table and began dancing to disco music that only she could hear. Serena was very tempted to hop up there as well and break it down. Instead, she chose to remain on the ground and did a hoedown. Both Alex and Willow were laughing and cheering the two girls on while munching down on the snacks. The night ended with a crash as Hitomi fell off the table and landed on her butt. She then passed out. Willow, who was more stable, ordered Serena to pick up Hitomi and carry her to her room. They tucked her in to bed and pulled sheer bed drapes closed. Willow and Serena then walked down the hall to their own rooms.

Morning came as Willow bounced happily into the blue and white room of Hitomi.

"Hitomi!" Willow yelled out scaring the newest edition to the slayers clan awake.

"Nande kuso?" she cried out as she sprung up. The sudden motion instantly made her woozy.

"You have a hangover, huh? Bet you do!" Willow commented to the woozy girl. "Get changed and then meet me in the kitchen. I'll whip you up something to cure you of your hangover and any others that would come."

Willow left the room and down to the kitchen where she prepared the organic spell to cure hangovers. A few minutes into her spell Serena and Alex wandered into the kitchen.

"Ahh, she has a hangover I see," Alex said with a smirk.

"Poor thing, I remember when you guys got me wasted," Serena rambled out

"Yeah, well that's her first and last hangover thanks to the wonders that are my spells," Willow said as she tossed in the last ingredient. She then chanted a few lines in a language neither of the watching girls understood.

When she was finished, the smoking drink was poured into a glass. While Willow was pouring the drink, a hung over Hitomi stumbled into the busy kitchen.

"Here," Willow said as she handed Hitomi the concoction.

Not caring what it was Hitomi guzzled down the drink. When she was finished, she did a full body shiver and then seemed to come out of her hung over state.

"What was in that thing? That was the most disgusting thing I had ever tasted!" Hitomi stated as she made a 'yuck' face.

"Lets see…there was chicken fat, a banana peel, a cup of milk, some cottage cheese, half cup of sugar, a pinch of salt and a cup of vinegar. And then my incantation made it work," Willow said as she ticked off the ingredients with her fingers.

"Gross Willow-chan, were you trying to poison me or something?" Hitomi alleged.

"Nah, I was just trying to cure you of ever having a hangover. You can drink as much alcohol as you want and wake up like it never happened."

"It's cool, huh?" Serena said with too much energy for such an early morning.

"Yeah, I guess…" Hitomi replied.

"Well, girls you better get ready for school! I'll take you all down there," Willow said as she walked out to the dinning room where the cooks had placed their breakfast. The other three girls followed her. After they had eaten, they ran up to their rooms and got ready for school.

Author's Note:

Caerné: Nice, amusing chapter that does nothing for the upcoming plot. Well, maybe it does. It's moving in a direction though. Ain't that right, MP?

Mdnite Prncez: Yeah. Why the Hell are you calling me MP?

Caerné: 'Cause I am too lazy to write your full name.

Mdnite Prncez: Oh. That makes sense for you.

Caerné: Hey! Wait, no. You're right. Hmmmm….

Mdnite Prncez: **crosses arms over chest** Moving on. You'll all like the next chapter. Especially because Caerné has a sadistic and carnage-filled mind and she went all out on the battle scene.

Mdnite Prncez: Shut up! **shoves Caerné in closet and leans against the door** So, yeah. Next chapter will come in a week. Stop fighting, Caerné! Damnit!

**Pounding on door and muffled cries are heard** Ow! That hurts my back! Gah! Okay, peeps. Review! And we'll be back next week. Now excuse me, I have to hurt Caerné now. **Grabs pillow off bed and moves away from door. Door opens and Caerné falls out on her face. Battle cry as Mdnite Prncez raises pillow over head.**
