Vision Of Escaflowne Fan Fiction ❯ Dreams Come True ❯ Chapter Nineteen: The Big Day... ( Chapter 19 )
Chapter Nineteen
It was time to get dressed for the wedding, for me anyways. Malerna and Merle had already had their bride's mate's dresses on. Melerna did my hair while Merle did my make up, that took about an hour. Now it was time to put on the dress. I had gotten it from the Mystic Moon and brought it back.
"Oh Hitomi you look so beautiful."
"This is your day Hitomi. I'm so happy for you."
"Thank you so much you guys, I love you." We all gathered for a group hug.
"So Hitomi, who's going to walk you down the aisle?"
"I asked Folken to do it."
"Folken?? Why Folken??" they both said simultaneously.
"Folken is a dear friend, and also Van's elder brother."
"I didn't know you and Folken were friends." Merle said.
"Me either."
"Yeah, that has been my little secret."

It was now time for the wedding ceremony. It was taking place in the gardens. There were crowds of people hear to see this joyous event.
I was still inside with Merle and Melerna when Folken arrived. He wore the same thing he wore when he brought me to Gaea. He walks up to me and gives me a kiss on the cheek.
"Today's your big day. I wish you and Van the best of luck in your new lives together."
"Thank you so much Folken." I gave Folken a hug.
This was all making Melerna and Merle nervous; they didn't realize that we had that kind of relationship. They didn't even know that we even talked to one another.
A man came up to where we were and told us that they were ready to begin.
Van was already by the nicely dressed monk, with Allen, the best man.
Everyone stood up as the music started to play and Melerna and Merle were walking down the aisle. As soon as they soon on the other side of Van and Allen, Folken and I made out appearance. Everyone wasn't expecting to see Folken of all people to walk me down the aisle. Everyone including Van knew just as much about the relationship between Folken and me.
Everyone was recovering from shock when Folken let go of my arm and sat down. I was now standing beside Van.
What nobody knew was that there was a mysterious figure on the roof of the palace, hidden in a dark cloak.
The wedding ceremony started. Van and I were facing the monk.
"If anyone believes that these two people should not be wed, speak now or forever hold their piece."
The figure on the roof had a bow and arrows, and they were ready to fire. Right after the monk said that the figure let go one of the arrows. The arrow hit Van, in the right shoulder and he fell to the ground.
"Van!!" I knelt down on the ground and picked up van and held him he was bleeding so much. "Don't leave me." I knew it this had to be a warning. My first vision was coming true. We couldn't get married or Van will die. This was my final warning. I knew what I had to do.
Medics took Van into the palace to fix him up, which they did but Van was unconscious and soon asleep resting from his attack.
My beautiful dress was covered in Van's blood. I was crying over Van's body lying on the bed, but they sent me away because Van needed rest.
"Please one minute, I would like one minute alone with Van."
"Very well." The medics left the room.
I turn my attention back to Van.
"Van I love you but I cant stay hear with you without putting your life in danger so I am afraid that this is our last time together." I kissed Van, got up and walk out of the room, looking back one last time, before going to my quarters.
