Vision Of Escaflowne Fan Fiction ❯ Dreams Come True ❯ Chapter Twenty-Two: Movin on ( Chapter 22 )
Chapter Twenty-Two
Seven months later it was June.
I think its time that I should move on from here. I really need to see someone. I only stayed hidden because I didn't ant to endanger Van's life by him finding me because if he did we would certainly be married, which will just lead to disaster.
"Hitomi what's wrong?"
"I think it is time for me to move on."
"Where are you going to go."
"I think I will go to Folken's Kingdom and live with him for a while, I miss spending time with him."
"Why would you miss Folken?"
"He is one of my dearest friends."
"Oh, well you know you are always welcome to come back anytime you want Hitomi."
"Thank you so much Chid."
I went to my room and packed for my going away. As soon as I was done I went to the stables, and got Kira ready to leave.
Prince Chid saw me off as I left the palace on my way to Folken's Kingdom.
It took me 3 days to get to Folken's kingdom, each night I would stay at an inn. I never had to worry about money since Van had given me a part of his fortune and it wouldn't matter now that I haven't seen him, he would want to make sure that I wouldn't starve. Also Folken, Chid and Allen made sure I had something, so I never had to worry about where the money was coming from.
I arrived at Folken's palace. And put Kira into the stables. Kira was such a fine horse, I would make sure he would get the right amount of exercise, and that he was groomed and fed when we were out traveling.
I took my bag and went inside the palace. It was late in the afternoon.
I walked down the halls. I had changed a bit since everyone last saw me, my hair was about 6 inches longer now past the tops of my shoulders.
I was walking towards my room to put my bags away. I opened my door and found that everything was as I left it. It was a bit chilly so I made a small fire in the fire place and I opened the curtains. I put my cloths away and I changed my cloths, I put on a black dress that went down to my knees, I got it specially made in Freid, I also got a new wardrobe in Freid.
I opened my door to find Folken on the other side.
"Folken, you startled me."
"Welcome back Hitomi."
"Thanks." Folken and I hugged, and went and sat on the comfy chairs by the fire place.
"Where have you been all this time? I saw you leave that night, but I didn't think you would be gone that long."
"I was with Prince Chid in Freid."
"Van went there several times and Prince Chid didn't even mention you."
"I know I asked him not to."
"Why?"
I didn't want to be found."
"Oh. Why did you leave in the first place?"
"If I would have stayed Van and I would have gotten married and my visions would have come true, if Van and I married Van would die. That arrow was a warning that this marriage was wrong."
Folken sensed I didn't want to talk about, so he stopped.
"You Know you can stay here as long as you wish, you may come and go as you please, you are free to go anywhere in the palace."
"Oh Folken you're so generous, thank you so much, if there is you ever need anything from me just ask."
"Would you do me the honour of joining me for dinner?"
Folken got up and offered me his hand. I grabbed it "I would be delighted. "
We walked side by side with are arms linked together to the dining room. When we got in there were candles lit, dishes on the table, and there was a rose on my plate. Folken pulled out the chair for me and I sat down. He walked to his chair and sat down. I picked up the rose and smelled it; it was just as beautiful as it smelled. "Nice touch," I said as I put the rose aside, shortly after the servants brought in dinner. We ate and talked and drank red wine. It was a lovely evening.
