Chapter 15: Epilogue

Later that evening Yukari, Hitomi and Merle sat alone together in the library having their usual 'girly' chats. Merle noticed a brighter sparkle come from Hitomi's right hand. She looked down and almost fainted.

"Oh My God!!! Van-sama he-!"

"Yes Merle!" Hitomi interrupted her giggling and blushing. The girls celebrated the news by having their own little 'slumber' party.

"So, when's the wedding?" Yukari asked curiously.

"Um, well me and Van were planing on having it tomorrow night. Nothing to big, just our closest friends." Hitomi told them as she braided Yukari's hair. Both immediately turned and faced her.

"Tomorrow?" the both said in union. Hitomi nodded.

"But that's so early!" Merle yelled.

"I know, but we didn't want to wait that long! We were going to have it tonight but we thought it was too soon." Merle and Yukari still felt that it was too early but if that's what they wanted, they weren't gonna stop them.

"So Hitomi, who's going to be your maid of honour?" Yukari asked. Just as she was going to say it was her, she remembered Merle who had been a really good friend to her. Both sat waiting impatiently for her answer. Hitomi then came up with an idea that she knew both could live with.

"I'm not going to have one." both Merle and Yukari were a little disappointed but at least they wouldn't be jealous of each other.

"You know, I think that's a great plan Hitomi." Yukari said and Merle nodded in agreement.

The following morning everyone was rushing around making sure everything was ready. Hitomi went into her and Van's bathroom and took a long relaxing bath. As she was think about her future, she realized that this day would be her very last day as a bachelorette. It scared her thinking of that but when she remembered who she was marring, the fear faded away. She would be with Van, forever.

The time for their wedding drew quickly. Hitomi wore a simple white gown that hugged her shoulders and trailed behind her. She wore her hair down and had it curled a bit to give it more body. Van wore his beige khaki pants with a long sleeved midnight blue tunic and white leather gloves and boots. Merle wore a long ruby red velvet dress with a square neck. Yukari wore a dress similar to Merle except for the colour which was a royal purple. Allen of course was there and wore his blue and white knight uniform.

The ceremony was quick and short, just what Hitomi and Van wanted. Afterwards they had a grand dinner in the dinning hall to celebrate their wedding. While everyone else was chatting, Hitomi and Van slipped away and went out into the garden. They sat down together on the soft grass and stared up at the stars.

"Van, you have made me the happiest woman in the entire universe." Hitomi said to him she rested her head on his shoulder. He kissed the top of her head and wrapped his arm around her.

"Hitomi, I love you and I'll never stop loving you ever." his words brought tears to her eyes. She sat up and stared at him. He leaned forward and placed a kiss on her soft lips. She then wrapped her arms around his neck.

And they lived Happily ever After! Or did they??? Well there's the epilogue. I hope you enjoyed this fic. I have some of the sequel done and I'll post it asap.
