Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Escaflowne or DBZ characters, cause I’d be rich if I did. Alas, >.< I am merely a lowly writer immersing myself and my creativeness in the Anime world. This is of course before we all found out Dilandau was really a girl, so let’s count this as Dilandau being a guy cause I like him as a guy then as the girl version.
Setsuna Night Star however is my character ©MariaStar 2003.
She has black hair that looks like night. She has on a black armored skirt, boots, and gloves. She wears a black chest and back armor plates. Her black helmet which has the symbol of a black rose and black wings sits on the table next to her mug. Her deadly black handled sword is strapped at her side. She wears a long black cloak which keeps her armor hiding. Silently she picks up her mug and drinks some of the Butter Beer.
A loud noise comes from the bar door. She turns her head slightly, while still in the shadows, to see Commander Dilandau, leader of their group of Black Dragons called Ryuugekitai (The Dragonslayers), knocking aside one of the commoners. He turns until he sees the booth in shadows with a mug on the table. Him and two other soldiers walk towards the booth in which she’s sitting at.
“Night Star,” Dilandau said as he stood next the booth. She nodded and turned to him while extending her hand to the other side of the booth indicating he could sit there. Her hood was still up. He sat down and looked at her waiting for her to go first. She sighed and pulled her hood off. Her black hair falling down. Her mysterious violet eyes turning to him.
“How did you know I was here,” she said as she looked at him.
“A mug isn’t left on the table unless someone is there,” Chesta said. Chesta was one of the two soldiers with Sir Dilandau. The other was Kane.
“Plus you always sit in a darkened booth,” Kane said. She just shrugged and turned back to Dilandau. She crossed her arms across her chest and sat back.
“What are the orders from Lord Folken?” she asked. “Or are there any new orders, Sora said there might not be anything new for weeks.”
“There isn’t any new orders,” Dilandau said angrily. He them slammed his fist on the table causing it to shake. “Except to lay low like cowards all because Lord Folken is afraid of his fucking brother, Van.”
“Van isn’t one to be underestimated,” she said
“Night Star, it’s Van is only still a young boy,” Kane said.
“He’s stronger then you think, and call me by my real name Setsuna,” she said. “Van may still be young and arrogant but he’s managed to outsmart you more then enough times.”
Dilandau slammed his fist harder on the table.
“Only because he gets lucky every time,” he said.
Setsuna smiled and waved a hand towards the bartender. The bartender nodded and brought three more mugs of Butter Beer over. Setsuna gave him two gold coins and a silver coin. After the bartender walked away Setsuna turned back to Dilandau.
“Losing your temper is not going to do any thing,” she said as a loud noise from one of the brawls came towards their booth.
Setsuna turned and saw an Ex Black Dragon Soldier kicking all the commoners and other Ex Soldiers out.
“Out if none of you can beat me,” the solider said.
“If you want a fight, I’ll give you one!” Setsuna said standing up and crossing her arms.
“Sorry Babe but I don’t want to ruin that pretty form of yours,” he said looking her over. “It can provide other entertainment.” Setsuna’s violet eyes flashed dangerously.
“I don’t think I like what your thinking,” Setsuna said walking forward and facing him off. “If you want it, come and get it.”
He growled and shot at her. She stood their until he got closer then dropped to the ground and kicked his feet out from under him.
She grabbed his ankles, “Oh and never call me BABE!” She swung him by the ankle and through a table. She stood up and turned to walk back over to Dilandau and the others who stood watching. Suddenly a worried look came on Chesta’s face.
“Setsuna behind you,” Kane yelled. She went to turn around quickly when her wrist was grabbed and her right arm was held against her back. She could feel the cold steel of a blade against her neck.
“Listen to what I say and you won’t be hurt,” the soldier said. She growled and tried to pull away from him. Chesta and Kane grabbed their swords and ran towards us. “Come any closer and I slit her pretty neck,” he said. They stopped, but continued to aim their swords him. Dilandau stood up and looked towards where the soldier had her.
“Let her go,” he said calmly.
“Why should I let a beauty like her go,” the soldier said as he pressed his lips against her neck.
“Because I told you to,” Dilandau said, eyes flashing dangerously, as the ground began to shake.
Setsuna saw what was happening. She lifted her leg and kicked, hard. The soldier was pushed back and as Setsuna curled her head back and moved to the side his blade made a thin line along her neck. It was too small to cause damage, but stung badly. Suddenly the ground under the soldier rumbled and he was lifted into the air then thrown backwards through some tables. Setsuna stood up, her violet eyes that were gentle moments ago, now looked as cold as ice. Her stare now would make anyone cower in fear.
“Who are you people,” the soldier said backing up as fear appeared on his face at the cold look in her eyes.
“Were the true warriors of the Ryuugekitai group, Chesta and Kane,” Chesta and Kane said together. Dilandau stepped forward.
“I’m Sir Dilandau the leader of the Ryuugekitai group,” he said. Setsuna turned to the soldier and brought out her sword.
“My friends call me Setsuna, My allies know me as Night Star, but my adversaries know me as simply Shadow Cat,” Setsuna said. “You have just made a enemy that you will wish you had never made, I will make you pay you fucking bastard!”
Setsuna shot at him with inhuman speed and brought the flat end of her blade down on his head hard. He fell forward and hit the ground unconscious. Kane and Chesta came next to her. Chesta looked at her then gasped.
“Setsuna?! Your neck is bleeding?!” he said. Setsuna brought her hand to her neck then brought it back. There was blood covering her hand. Her vision was starting to blur.
“We should fix that wound,” Dilandau said as he walked towards the door to the right which led to the hallway which went to the warrior estates.
Chesta and Kane gently put a hand on Setsuna’s shoulders and led her to where Dilandau was going. They followed Dilandau to his room that was in this estate which belonged to their group. They helped her to a seat then turned to Dilandau for orders.
“Leave,” Dilandau said to them. The bowed then left closing the door behind them. Dilandau went over to Setsuna then with a wet towel and placed it gently on the wound.
“Why…did you help me,” Setsuna said softly as she looked into his eyes. Her eyes were back to normal and were now soft and gentle, but tears threatened to fall.
“I couldn’t let you die,” he said softly as he took the towel off and wrapped a light cloth over the wound. He looked away and in a hushed voice said, “I can’t bear to let another man touch you.”
Setsuna looked at him surprised and saw him looking away. She stood up and gently placed her hand on his cheek. He turned back towards her and their eyes locked. His hand gently went to the small of her back and he gently pulled her to him. His other hand cupped her chin as the distance between them started to get heated. She could feel his warm breath on her lips. Her hands snaked up his chest and went behind his neck pulling him towards her. Their lips touched and they were lost in their kiss. Dilandou’s hand which cupped her cheek snaked into her hair and began to stroke it. It then went to the back of her neck and began to caress in soothing circles. Their tongues danced in a kiss that would change everything. Soon they had to pull away because of the need for air. Setsuna placed her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes.
“I love you,” Setsuna said softly.
“And I you,” Dilandau said quietly tightening his arms around her.
They stood there just holding each other. Softly Dilandau lifted her up and dumped her on the bed and curled up next to her while wrapping the sheets around her. They fell asleep in each others arms.
“Sir Dilandau, orders from Lord Folken,” came Chesta’s voice. Dilandau got up and opened the door.
“Orders, from Lord Folken?” he said.
“Yes sir,” Chesta said. “There seems to be a disturbance of some king in Shadowkai City.”
“A disturbance?” Dilandau said confused.
“Yes, Lord Folken wants it checked out,” Chesta said.
“Let’s do it then it’ll give an excuse to get away from Lord Folken awhile,” Setsuna said as she appeared leaning against the door.
“Alright, we’ll leave now and get there before dark,” Dilandau said.
They hurried out to their horses. Setsuna had a beautiful black mare with a white star on the forehead. Dilandau had a white mare and Chesta and Kane had brown mares. They took off to Shadowkai City.
“What is it,” Kane asked. Setsuna was now staring at it.
“It can’t be,” she muttered quietly.
“What’s wrong?” Chesta asked. Setsuna turned to them.
“I had a vision a while go of a mysterious circle like this and after a vision of chaos,” she said. “Sora never had the vision so she told me not to say anything, I’ve been having the same visions for the past week and that’s how I knew something was going to happen.”
“Then do you know what that is?” Kane asked.
She shook her head, “No, but I do know that it means trouble.”
“It appears to be…very strange,” Chesta said.
“Let’s see what it is,” Dilandau said. They walked over to it. While they were looking at it the stone dragons eyes were beginning to glow.
“What’s that,” Chesta said. Suddenly the two dragons began to move.
“What’s going on?” Kane yelled as the day dragon jumped at Sir Dilandau.
“Sir Dilandau watch out!” Kane said hitting the dragon with his sword. The night dragon began to attack Setsuna.
“Argh…” Setsuna jumped to the side as the night dragon jumped at her. She landed right in front of the spiral circle. The night dragon leapt at her and knocked her into the circle.
“Lady Setsuna!” Chesta shouted, dodging the day dragon again.
Dilandau jumped out of the way of the day dragon and jumped towards the circle following Setsuna. Soon Chesta and Kane dodging the dragons followed suit. They all fell unconscious as they fell into the darkness.
Note: I do not own any Escaflowne characters. Setsuna Night Star however is my own. And if you’ve seen or read Harry Potter you would know that Butter Beer is from it.
“Huh, what was that?” the boy called Trunks asked.
“I…don’t know,” the man called Goku said.
“We should check it out,” the boy called Goten said racing into the forest.
“Hey,” the teenage boy called Gohan said.
“Goten get back here,” the woman called Chi Chi yelled.
“Well come on,” the teenage girl called Vadel said. She took off after the boys.
“Uhh…” Gohan said. “Coming.” He ran after the girl.
“We might as well follow,” the woman called Bulma said.
“A wild goose chase,” the man called Vegeta said.
They all decided to follow. When they got closer Goten yelled something out.
“It’s people, but their strange,” he yelled.
“A…dad I think you better have a look,” Gohan said.
“Oh dear,” Bulma said when they reached where the others had gone. A girl that looked like she was in her teens and three boys were unconscious.
“It looks like they fell down the side of the hill, look” Goten said. They looked up and saw that the side of the hill had fallen apart.
“The girl looks hurt,” Vadel said as she pointed to the side of the Setsuna’s neck. The wound had come open.
“That looks like a bad injury,” the midget called Krilian said.
Chi Chi went to go over to Setsuna, when her hand started to move. The others stood a ways away watching.
“Uhhh,” Setsuna groaned at hearing the voices.
“She’s waking up,” the man called Yamcha said.
“So are the other three,” Goten said.
“mmhh…” Dilandau groaned and started to open his eyes. He sat up and put a hand on the side of his head. His head was pounding.
“What the hell just happened,” he heard Chesta’s voice. He turned and saw Kane still unconscious.
“Hey, damn idiot, Wake up,” he said throwing a stone hitting the side of Kane’s head.
“Huh,” Kane said, his eyes flying open. Then all three noticed they were being watched. They sprang up and pulled their swords out.
“Whoa easy we don’t mean any harm,” Goku said Goten who was the closest backed up quickly.
“Sir, it’s Lady Setsuna,” Chesta said looking over to where Setsuna laid. Dilandau walked over to her. He bent down and felt her pulse, she was still alive.
“Damn it,” he growled. “The wound’s come open.” He placed his hand over the wound and pressed softly to try to stop the bleeding. When it finally stopped he wrapped a clothe he had been carrying around it.
“uhh,” Setsuna groaned again as she started to open her eyes. She saw Dilandau kneeling on one knee next to her.
“Where are we,” she managed to mumble as he helped her sit up.
“No clue,” Kane said still holding his sword at the people who stood a ways away from them.
“You’re in *________* City,” Vadel said.
“Put those swords down, I can sense they don’t mean any harm,” Setsuna said to Kane and Chesta. They put away their swords but remained standing where they were.
“We should introduce ourselves,” Bulma said. “I’m Bulma.”
“I’m Goku, this is my wife Chi Chi and my sons Gohan and Goten,” Goku said as he waved his hands to his wife and sons.
“I’m Krillian, this is my wife Eighteen and our daughter Merian,” Krillian said indicating the woman and little girl next to him.
“I’m Yamcha,” Yamacha said.
“I’m Vadel,” Vadel said.
“I’m Trunks, my mother and father is Bulma and Vegeta,” Trunks said.
A green man with pointed ears stood off to the side.
“Over there is Piccolo,” Gohan said.
The other man stood near Bulma with his arms across his chest.
“This is Vegeta,“ Bulma said.
Setsuna sensed that Vegeta and Dilandau will get along great *not hehehe*
“I’m Setsuna Night Star,” Setsuna said from where she was still sitting. Dilandau didn’t say anything, Setsuna rolled her eyes. “This is Dilandau and those two are Chesta and Kane.”
“Your not from here are you,” Trunks said.
“Trunks, that was rude,” Bulma said.
“No were not,” Setsuna said. “I think we fell through a portal.”
“Huh,” Goten said.
Setsuna sighed then told them the whole story. She only told them about the part where they were investigating the disturbance, fought the stone dragons and fell through the circle.
“That’s the whole story,” she said.
“Maybe we can help you,” Bulma said. “You can stay with us until you find a way to get home.”
“Thanks…” Setsuna said looking from Dilandau to the others. “But…it might not be a good idea.”
“You need to have that wound looked at,” Chi Chi insisted. Setsuna sighed, this wasn’t a good idea but she knew there was no point in arguing.
“Alright,” she said.
Bulma started to take a step forward but Dilandau stood up and sent a deadly glare at her, causing Vegeta to send a deadly glare at him. They were now glaring death at each other.
“Dilandau…” Setsuna hissed softly.
He looked at her and they locked gazes. He then knelt down next to her, ignoring the others and helped her up. Chesta and Kain moved back a little so they were on either side of Setsuna and Dilandau. They followed them to Capsule Corp.
“I’ve got to go,” Yamcha said.
“We have to too,” Krillian said. Krillian, Eighteen, Merian and Yamcha all left.
“There,” Bulma said after placing a small patch on the wound.
Setsuna moved her neck a bit and stood up. Chesta and Kane stood near Dilandau. Goku and the others walked in just as Setsuna walked over to Dilandau.
“We shouldn’t be here,” Dilandau hissed.
“I know, but where else can we go,” Setsuna said. “We don’t know anything about this world.”
“Alright, but I don’t trust these people,” he said.
“You never trust anyone,” she said. He moved closer and whispered into her ear.
“I trust you,” he said so softly, Setsuna felt like hugging him but couldn’t with everyone in the room.
“We better watch it,” Chesta said. “I’m not about to trust anyone right away.”
“Same for me,” Kane said.
Piccole who was still there standing across the room heard everything.
“Hey Setsuna,” Bulma called over to her. Setsuna turned around and saw Bulma standing in the door. “Hungry at all.”
Setsuna looked towards Dilandau. He gave a look that said *why look at me*. She glared at him. He blinked realizing what she meant and sighed.
“Sure,” Setsuna said. They followed her to the dinner table.
Goku was making a pig of himself. So was Goten, Trunks and Vegeta. Piccole stood next to the window. Vadel was eating normal, so was Bulma, Chi Chi, and Gohan. Setsuna couldn’t believe how much Goku, Goten, Trunks and Vegeta were eating. The girls didn’t seem to mind, probably because they were used to it. Setsuna couldn’t seem to eat anything after watching.
Chesta and Kane muttered, “pigs.” Setsuna sent a glare at them. They went back to eating.
“Setsuna,” Dilandau whispered. She looked at him. “Let’s go outside.”
“Sure,” she said. “I think I lost my appetite.”
They stood up and Setsuna headed out leaving her plate. Dilandau started to follow when he heard muffled snickering. He turned to see Chesta and Kane trying to keep from laughing. He glared with a look in his eyes that screamed death. Chesta and Kane looking up still snickering suddenly turned silent and pale and went back to eating.
“Sorry sir,” they said. He glared then left out the door Setsuna had gone. Everyone at the table saw this but stayed quiet, all except Goku, who didn’t know what was good for him.
“What does he like her or something?” he said confused. Kain and Chesta both glared at him.
“Lord Dilandau’s business is his own,” Chesta said.
“If you know what’s good for you stay out of it,” Kane said sounding deadly.
“Hey I didn’t mean any thing,” Goku said raising his hands in front of him.
“Then you should have stayed quiet,” Chesta said.
“If you want to keep your life don’t mess with Lord Dilandau,” Kane said.
“He will not hesitate to take the life of whoever insults him or Lady Setsuna,” Chesta said.
“Lady Setsuna may be a sweet girl now but piss her off and she’ll put her kindness aside and won’t hesitate to attack with her psychic powers,” Kane said.
They stood up and went the opposite direction that Dilandau and Setsuna went. Everyone just stared.
“Man they’re strange and not just the clothes they wear,” Goten said.
“Their clothes look like armor,” Trunks said.
“I believe it is,” Bulma said.
“So Setsuna has psychic powers,” Trunks said.
“That’s so cool,” Goten said. “Maybe she can show us.”
“Try asking her then,” Chi Chi said. “She probably won’t object.”
They all went back to eating.
Meanwhile Dilandau and Setsuna had walked into a forest behind Capsule Corp. They were soon in a small shaded valley. Setsuna remembered what Dilandau had said earlier turned around quickly and threw her arms around him. He looked surprised but soon put his arms around her and held her in a embrace.
“Why did you just do that?” he asked her softly his breath tickling her ear.
“Because of what you said earlier and I couldn’t do it with everyone there,” she said. He tightened his embrace on her.
“Nobody’s around now,” he whispered softly into her ear.
She hugged him closer. She looked up to see the distance disappearing between them. She leaned forward and she closed her eyes. Their lips came together into a kiss. Her lips parted and his tongue entered her mouth. She met his tongue with her own. His hand went in her hair while hers went around his neck. After they pulled apart Setsuna laid her head on his chest and closed her eyes. Minutes passed by before they were startled out of their embrace when they heard somebody coming. They looked towards the sound and saw Chesta and Kane coming up the path. A look of annoyance appeared on Dilandau’s face and a light tint of red on Setsuna’s face.
“What are you two up to,” Dilandau said with a little bit of anger in his voice.
Chesta looked up and saw Dilandau and Setsuna. He saw the look of impatience and annoyance on Dilandau’s face and the light tint of red on Setsuna’s face.
“We had to get out of there,” Chesta said.
“Let’s find somewhere else to stay,” Kane said.
“But where?” Setsuna asked. “Where else can we go.”
“I don’t know, anywhere but there,” Kane said.
“Try to at least trust them,” Setsuna said. “I think they can help us.”
“We’ll try,” Kane said.
Setsuna looked up because she sensed presence from above. She looked up to see Goten fly bye then Gohan.
“What the hell,” she said. She ran off towards the area they were headed. She got there as the landed.
“How the hell can you fly without wings?” Chesta asked.
“Huh,” Gohan turned to see Setsuna, Dilandau, Chesta and Kane watching. “It’s easy we use the energy within us to fly.”
“Yeah but I thought you had to have wings,” Setsuna said.
“No you don’t need wings to fly,” Gohan said.
“Can you show us?” Chesta asked. Gohan looked at him.
“Yes, but it will take time,” he said. “It will also take a lot of practice.”
“We can handle it,” Kane said.
“Alright we’ll start tomorrow,” Gohan said. “Just meet me here.” He turned back to his little brother.
“Ready Gohan,” Goten asked.
“Yeah,” Gohan said. “Argh,” Gohan’s hair suddenly turned gold and his eyes changed as well.
Goten’s hair and eyes did the same thing. Setsuna and the others sat down to watch. Dilandau was actually paying attention. Setsuna giggled as she watched him.
“What,” he said looking at her.
“Your actually paying attention to somebody besides your self,” she answered. His hand snaked around her waist and pulled her closer as he bent down towards her ear. His teeth tugged once on it.
“I pay attention to you don’t I,” he whispered. Setsuna smiled and leaned on his shoulder as they continue watch Goten and Gohan fight.
Goten had managed to evade Gohan many times. Gohan soon caught Goten off-guard and sent him into the side of the mountain.
“That hurt,” Goten whined rubbing his head.
“Pay attention sport,” Gohan said.
“Pay attention to this,” Goten put his hands in front then brought them back.
“Ka…Ma…Ha…Ma …Ha” Goten shouted sending a bright ball of light at Gohan.
“Ka…Ma...Ha...Ma…Ha,” Gohan shouted sending the same attack at Goten’s attack.
The two attacks hit each other ending both fighters backwards.
“Maybe we should quit now,” Goten said. “It’s getting dark.”
“Yeah we had better go back now,” Gohan said. They started to head back. Setsuna and the others followed.
When they reached Capsule Corp. Bulma came out and decided to show Setsuna and the others their rooms. She lead Setsuna to a room that had purple walls, bed sheets, etc.
“This will be you room Setsuna,” she said. Setsuna looked around the room as Bulma showed Dilandau, Chesta, and Kane their rooms.
She lead them to a room that had two beds and silver walls.
“This will be yours,” she said to Chesta and Kane. “The one next to it is yours,” she said to Dilandau. He just nodded and went over to where Setsuna stood in the doorway.
“Thanks,” Setsuna said.
“No problem,” Bulma said. She headed downstairs to where Trunks and Vegeta were.
“Well good night,” Chesta said yawning and heading to his and Kane’s room.
“Yah night,” Cane said.
“Night you two,” Setsuna said as they closed their door.
Dilandau made sure it was shut all the way then placed an arm around Setsuna pulling her against him. He tilted her head towards him and leaned down and kissed her. He pulled back and went into his doorway.
“Sleep tight,” he said.
“Good night,” Setsuna said as she went to her room smiling.
Setsuna laid down in her bed and within a hour fell asleep.
Note: I also do not own any Dragon Ball Z characters.
Setsuna slowly opened her eyes. Slowly sitting up she leaned back against her pillow. A knock came at her door.
“Come in,” She said while still looking out the window.
The door opened and Bulma walked in.
“Good morning,” she said.
“Morning,” Setsuna said.
“I came to say breakfast is in two hours,” Bulma said.
“Alright thanks,” Setsuna said. Bulma nodded then left the room closing the door behind her.
Sighing Setsuna sat up and pulled her hair out of the ponytail it was in. Her hair now dropped down to knees. She grabbed her cape and hooked it to her armor. She then put her sword in it’s sheath at her side and laid her helmet on the night stand. She sighed, her jewel ties were in her bag back in their world.
“I hope the horses are alright,” she asked herself.
Picking up the brush Bulma had left her she brushed her hair and started it into a half-braid, which was a custom of female warriors in the village she had been born in. While looking at her reflection her eyes dropped to the patch on her neck. She brought her hand up to it as the memories of in the bar came flooding back into her head. Dilandau had acted without selfishness and had saved her life. Then the memories of what happened after the battle came into her mind making her blush a chrisom red. Shaking her head she laid the brush down. She smiled as she remembered that Gohan was going to teach her, Dilandau, Kane and Chesta how to fly, without wings. Smiling she headed downstairs.
“What is it?” she asked.
“Could you show us your psychic powers?” Trunks asked.
“I don’t know…” she said.
“Please,” they begged. She sighed shaking her head.
“Alright,” she said.
She pulled her sword out and held it in front of her. Trunks and Goten watched as she levitated it then watched as it spinned when she wasn’t even touching it. It lifted into the air then shot back into it’s sheath.
“Cool!” they yelled.
“What’s going on here,” Gohan said walking into the living room.
“Setsuna was showing us her psychic powers,” Goten said.
“Hey, Setsuna we have another question,” Trunks said.
“What’s your question?” Setsuna said.
“Is that really ancient armor like from the mid-evil times?” Trunks asked. “Like what they use to fight dragons.”
“It is,” I said. “Except in our world there aren’t that many dragons, the dragons in our world are sacred.”
“Cool,” they said again.
“Hey you two,” Gohan said. “Why don’t you go out and play.”
“Alright,” they said running outside.
“Bye Setsuna!” they said.
“Flying lessons can began whenever your ready,” Gohan said. Setsuna looked at the others.
“Why not,” Dilandau said.
“Alright, let’s do it,” she said.
“Okay, let’s head to the clearing,” Gohan said.
“Alright now this will take a lot of patience,” Gohan said.
This caused Setsuna to look at Dilandau, but he seemed to be paying attention.
“Now try concentrating on the energy within you,” Gohan said. “And concentrate on having it lift you from under your feet.”
Setsuna closed her eyes and after ten minutes she was about to give up when she felt herself being lifted. Opening her eyes she saw that she was a mile from the ground.
“What the!” she yelled startled.
“That’s great,” Gohan said.
“Whoa,” Chesta said.
“Oh yeah,” Setsuna cried as she took off like she normally did when she used her wings.
The sky was what made her peaceful because she was used to flying, but not without using her wings. She flew down a little until she was a few feet from the ground. She watched as Dilandau, Chesta, and Kane were struggling. She saw Gohan turn away because Vadel had shown up, so she floated to Dilandau’s side. Smiling she grabbed his hands and lifted him a little then dropped him. He landed on his back.
“Setsuna!” he yelled.
She laughed, “Come on, you’ll have to catch me to punish me for it.”
She lifted higher into the air. He was glaring at her. Cocking her said to one side she grinned. She watched as suddenly he was in the air.
“Whoa!” she stood up in the air then turned and shot across the sky pushing her energy to make herself go faster.
Suddenly Dilandau caught up and was beside her. She put her brakes on and flipped backwards shooting back to where the others were.
“Very good,” Gohan said as she landed on the ground. “And on the first try.”
She grinned turning around to see Dilandau land on his back. She shook her head.
“Looks like someone’s got to learn how to land,” she thought.
“Well you’ve mastered flying,” Gohan said. “Faster than even my brother.”
“Well, this isn’t my first time flying,” she said. “The sky is my kingdom.”
“How could you have flown before when you didn’t know how when you came here?” Vadel asked.
“I’ll show you,” she said.
She walked towards the middle of the clearing. Then she held her arms across her chest. Her body began to glow. Her cape wrapped around her like a dress. The back opened to reveal a glowing circle on her back. Just as she brought her arms up in front of her, long white wings shot out.
“Wow,” Vadel said. “Those wings are beautiful.”
Setsuna laid her arms at her side. She flapped them a little and rose into the air. She reached five feet when suddenly her wings gave out.
“Ahh!” She cried out as her wings felt like cement.
“Setsuna!” Dilandau yelled.
“Lady Setsuna,” Chesta and Kane shouted.
Just as Setsuna was inches from the ground she did all she could to flap her wings to and ended up landing right on them.
“OWWWWWW!” She yelled rolling fast to her side. “DAMN IT!THAT HURT!”
Dilandau was at her side instantly, he helped her up.
“Are you alright?” he asked.
“Yes,” she said. “I don’t know about my wings.”
Dilandau gently brought his hand along her wings, checking to see if there was anything broken.
“Nothings broken,” he said.
“Maybe it has something to do with this world,” Kane said.
Chesta had his eyes closed, the amulet around his neck glowing. “There’s no trace of magic in this world.”
“Damn, With no magic my wings are like stone,” Setsuna growled. “PERFECT!”
Everything around her began to blow up. She calmed when Dilandau placed a arm around her shoulders. Sighing she closed her eyes and concentrated on sending her wings away.

Chapter 1

Later there came a knock at the door.“Sir Dilandau, orders from Lord Folken,” came Chesta’s voice.

Soon Shadowkai City came into view. They gasped as they reached the edge of the city. There was a path that lead to the middle of the city. At the end of it was a spiral circle. On either side of the circle was stone dragons. One was the dragon of night and the other was the dragon of day. Above the circle was a stone star.“What is it,” Kane asked.

A minute later the stone dragons, the strange circle and star stone were gone from the middle of the city. It looked as if nothing had been there.Note: I do not own any Escaflowne characters. Setsuna Night Star however is my own. And if you’ve seen or read Harry Potter you would know that Butter Beer is from it.
Chapter 2
A group of people were walking along the path that lead to Capsule Corp. When suddenly a huge burst of light appeared deep in the forest next to them.“Huh, what was that?” the boy called Trunks asked.
**** ****
While Bulma was tending to Setsuna’s wound Dilandau stood watching with his arms crossed. Setsuna saw this and shook her head.“I’ve got to go,” Yamcha said.
Chapter 3
*Chirp Chirp*Setsuna slowly opened her eyes.
**** ****
“Hey Setsuna,” Trunks said. Setsuna stood up from where she was sitting on the couch talking Dilandau, Chesta and Kane.“What is it?” she asked.
**** ****
In just ten minutes we were at the clearing.“Alright now this will take a lot of patience,” Gohan said.
