The day was sunny, clear sky, mild temperature, and a slight breeze. Just what Cathorm, a blood elf mage liked. The mage woke up that morning peering out the window just beside his bed. His white mid-back length hair fell over his shoulders. Today, the mage would venture out of Eversong Woods, and go into the Blackened Woods; Ghostlands. As the mage slipped out of bed, he threw the covers off his body and dangled his legs over the side of his bed. The elf slipped his cloth boots on his feet, which were a black color sewn with gray thread. His robes, which were hanging on the wall, were a red silk, with black curly-q designs on the bottom of it. He walked over to them and slipped them on over his night clothes.

"Today will be interesting for myself. Venturing out into the land that was once called ours, but is now tainted by the scourge. Damn them..Damn them all.." Cathorm breathed out as he clenched his righthand into a fist and punched the wall. Remembering back to stories he was told of, of the fall of Silvermoon by the invasion of Arthas and his following scourge, Cathorm closed his green eyes and squinched his face. After a few seconds, he put his left hands index finger and thumb on his nose to try and calm himself down. The white haired mage rubbed the spot his fingers were on, and finally calmed down. Getting a temper over something so long ago was useless. Especially since he couldn't do anything about it.

His house, which was a one room house, was small, but big enough for him to contain all he needs. His bed, table, and other assortments that he collected. His friend, Morrii that lived to the west of him lived alone also, and his other friend Yael lived to the east. He'd been best friends with each of them for a while. Yael, being a paladin, would help him with things he couldn't do on his own, like when a fellow Blood Elf asked him to do something, and it was a bit too hard for Cathorm, he would ask his friend Yael, or he would ask Morrii, who was a well trained Blood Elf hunter.

"I wonder if Yael is busy. He and I might be able to go out seeing if people need something for us to do.." Cathorm asked himself.

His white hair bounced around as he ran to the east of his house, going to see Yael. Seeing it was taking too long, he used a spell he knew that propelled him twenty meters; Blink. After propelling himself forward he was a few meters from Yael's house. Just then, Yael walked out of the house with his polearm over his shoulder and looked at Cathorm.

"Hey! What're you doing here? You want to go out into Ghostlands?" Yael asked.

"Yeah. I really want to see Ghostlands. I haven't seen it since I was a kid..Has it changed all that much?"

"Naw. Ghostlands is pretty much the same..Though, more scourge have seem to come up. It's a little more infested with them. Some of the trolls that live there have become more hostile..Seems like the usual if you ask me." Yael laughed.

Cathorm smiled at Yael. This blood elf male was red haired. He had the same hair style as Cathorm, a goatee, and something even more special. Mail armor. Mail armor was non-existent for mages. Though, Cathorm didn't care.

"Let's get going." Yael said smiling.

~~~~~
The two blood elves entered Ghostlands and instantly saw the corruption it had. The ground was darker, the clouds over the zone barely let light in: the trees were bare, and the animals seemed more hostile.
"It's changed a little bit.." The white haired male said, looking at his red haired friend.
"Well. Lets go!" Yael said, running ahead of his friend.
"Hey!"
The two friends ran for a while when Cathorm finally caught upto Yael. The two looked at each other as they ran side by side. Yael's and Cathorm's hair billowed behind them as they neared Tranquillen. The small town in ghostlands was the only place to find people who really needed help. As the two looked around, they saw a man pacing back and forth. The green eyed adventurers looked at each other then walked over to the man.
"Sir, what's wrong? Have you lost something valuable?" Yael question, watching the man with his eyes.
The man stopped pacing and looked at the two young blood elves. The man himself was a blood elf.
"Y-yes. How am I supposed to supply the war effort when I cannot even safely get my supplies here? I was promised an escort that never came. And then, I had to leave one of my carts behind to the west when I was attacked by a band of ghouls!" The man started pacing again.
"Well..sir, we could go get it for you..We'd be glad to help." Cathorm smiled as he finished his sentence.
"That would be grand. I left it to the west of here, across the Dead scar." The man pointed to the west, and the two blood elves started walking that way.
---
"So. Yael. How's life right now?"
"Pretty decent. And you?"
"It's going well. I'm having fun living by myself. Though it's good living near friends." Cathorm said, eyeing Yael out of the corner of his eyes.
"It is. It's great having friends near you when you can depend on them like you do me." Yael smiled and looked at his friend.
"Yup! Oh. We're getting close to the Dead Scar. Let's fight some of the undead."
"Okay!"
The two prepared for battle between themselves and the undead. Yael held his polearm with both hands as a light circled around him at his feet and ascended above his head. After a few seconds, he ran in and unleashed the power and it hit the undead. The undead raced towards Yael and he started attacking it. Cathorm, standing ten meters away, starting casting frostbolts. The frostbolt hit the undead, and caused it to slow its attacks. Yael ran back a few feet as Cathorm cast a fireball and landed the killing blow on it.
"Alright! I'm pumped to find this guys cart!" Cathorm said, giddy.
"Good job buddy. Come on now, the path is clear for us."
As the two ran across the Dead scar, more scourge piled to where the one was killed and took his spot. Where were they all coming from? Where ever they were, they came quickly. The road came to a fork in the road. The two looked down each way, but then looked directly west. There the cart was! After looking around a bit, the two ran to the cart and saw the supplies that the man was talking about. The two bent down Yael just a bit quicker than Cathorm. The red haired male put his hand down on the cart. then Cathorm just miliseconds slower set his hand on Yael's. Cathorm pulled his hand from atop his friends and looked away.
"Sorry..I..didn't mean to..It was an accident." The boy sat against a tree and looked downward, a bit embarassed.
"Hey hey, it's alright. Things happen sometimes." Yael went over next to Cathorm and sat next to him, setting his hand on Cathorm's right knee. Yael looked away from his friend a bit, then looked at him. The red haired blood elves face was a red, easily showing he wasn't the straightest blood elf there was. Yael's long time friend looked at him back, his face even more red. The two turned their bodies to face each other. Yael leaned his face in first, then Cathorm next, and their lips touched slightly before they kissed fully. Cathorm put his hands on Yael's face as the two kissed each other for the first time. The kiss lasted for a long time. Each blood elf put their love into the kiss. Eventually, Cathorm licked Yael's lower lip and his best friend allowed his tongue to venture into his mouth. The elves tongues mingled with each other, and they groaned. After the kiss, the two pulled away, but kept their foreheads touching. The two licked their lips.
"Cath..Cathorm...I didn't.." Yael said stuttering the whole way.
"Yael..I've wanted to do that with you since we were kids..You've always appealed to me. Whether we were mad at each other or not. I.."
Yael put his finger to Cathorms mouth and he smirked. The red haired boy knew what he was trying to say. As the two looked at each other, Yael touched Cathorm's face with his right hand. Cathorm set his left hand on his new lovers hand and closed his eyes. The two stood up with each other and wrapped each others arms around each other.
"I love you Yael..I really do..I just want you to hear it from me.."
"Cathorm, I love you more than what I previously thought..It's a whole new world of love to me..Loving a male.."
The two pulled from their hug and smiled, then Yael grabbed the supplies and lifted it. Cathorm leaded the way back to the Dead Scar. The steps they made through the dead forest were each crunching sounds. No birds chirped, no animals cried out. Just the sound of their footsteps. Once the two made it to the Dead Scar, they ran across it. Even though they pulled the undead with them, they eventually stopped running after them once they reached Tranquillen. The two approached the man, and Yael gave him the supplies. The man jumped in joy and gave the two silver in return for their deeds.
"Thank you, you two! I can never be so thankful to you two!" The man kept going on and on.
The two young elves looked at each other, and turned from the man, walking their way back to Silvermoon, where they would rest from a days adventure in their houses.
