Yohji snuck into the Koneko a little before it opened for the day and was confronted by Aya's stony face.

"Aya! What are you doing here for Ken's - oh! Never mind."

"How was your date, Yohji? A redhead?"

"Um… no, a blonde…"

"You were out with Juurediche, weren't you?"

"NO! Where the hell did you get that ludicrous idea?!"

"Omi. That and he followed you."

Yohji turned around to see Schuldich leaning against the doorframe, grinning like a fool.

Aya growled and Yohji 'meep'ed, looking around frantically for Omi to make peace like he always did. Omi, however, had school at the time and was therefore unable to save Yohji from Aya's wrath.

"Um… you can handle the shop, ne? Bye!" Yohji zoomed out the door, grabbing Schuldich as he went.

"Omae o korosu! Shi-NE!!"

Ken was the first to awake, tangled in Crawford's arms and legs. Deciding he liked how he was, Ken just lay there, keeping one eye open.

"I feel a shard presence around here!" A female voice declared. "Oh! A hot spring!"

"Crawford?" Ken detangled himself and pulled his pants on. "Crawford, wake up!"

"Hm?"

"Get dressed! People are coming!"

"Well, good morning to you too."

"Not a morning person I see," Ken commented wryly. "Put some pants on." (1) He threw Crawford's pants at him.

"People?"

"It's like we reversed personalities. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like the idea of a girl finding us naked. Together."

"As you wish." Crawford donned his pants.

"Come on, Inu-Yasha! You can't expect me to fight the demon by myself!"

"If you would get off that damn hunk of metal, we could keep up!" The one that must be Inu-Yasha retorted.

"For the last time; it's a bike!"

The voices came closer and eventually entered the clearing.

"You two!" Miroku, Shippo and Kagome pointed at Crawford and Ken.

"You two!" Ken and Crawford shouted simultaneously, pointing at Miroku and Shippo.

Inu-Yasha just stood there, adorably confused.

"Why does everyone here know each other but me?" he grumbled. Leave it to Kagome not to tell him anything.

"You're the two that those men were trying to find!"

"Those two were mean to Shippo!"

"And the demon has a shard," Miroku concluded.

"Ok, ok! Let's get this straight," Inu-Yasha called for order. "Who are you two?"

"We are travelers searching for a well, nothing more." Crawford sidestepped in front of Ken.

"The Bone-Eater's well?" Kagome quipped.

"Yes."

"Inu-Yasha!" Shippo crawled up onto his shoulder and tugged on his battered sword. "Dice them up with the tetsusaiga! They're mean!"

Inu-Yasha snorted. "Cat demon."

"He is none of your concern," Crawford growled.

Inu-Yasha snorted again. "Lovers."

Kagome blushed. What was with bishonen always with other bishonen... *that* way? Briefly she wondered about Inu-Yasha and Miroku… "Those two men, a redheaded gaijin and a blonde, asked for me to return you through the well."

"Is that so…" Miroku mused while detaching Shippo, who was dangling from the hilt of the tetsusaiga.

"We can compromise. You take us to the correct well to return home and we give you the shard, under one condition - you do *not* harm him in anyway."

"Crawford," Ken hissed, "Stop being so damn…" he groped for the right word, "protective!"

Kagome peered around Crawford and wrinkled her nose at Ken in thought. "I can do that. Follow us, we'll go there right now."

"Here be the well, now the shard?"

"Stop being a jerk, Inu-Yasha!" Kagome pushed him away from Ken.

"You can remove it painlessly, right?"

"Crawford!" Ken protested.

"Yes, I think I can… Come here," she bade Ken.

Ken was not one to hesitate and stood over Kagome waiting for her to remove the sliver in his forehead. She lifted her hand to his forehead and poked at the welt. Ken flinched in anticipation of pain, but none came.

With the removal of the jewel, Ken's ears slowly returned to normal and his tail disappeared. Now no one on the other side of the well would ever know that he was a demon. He sighed in relief; it was a secret among others between him and Crawford.

"There!" She beamed, "All done! You can get back to Tokyo through this well. We must be on our way."

And they were gone, leaving Ken and Crawford standing alone before the well.

"Juu! Why the hell did you follow me?! He's going to fucking kill me!!"

"I got hold of that girl's mind and I needed to talk to you."

"Why didn't you jump into my head like you always do?"

"I didn't think that Aya would be there."

"So what did she think?"

"She thinks?"

"Juu!"

"Ok, she pointed them in the right direction and they should be back shortly."

"Is that all?"

"Yeah."

"Juu! Now I'm going to die!"

"No you won't."

Yohji snorted.

"He won't," Schuldich insisted. "It gives him and Omi a chance to be alone."

"And what happens when Ken returns?" Yohji asked doubtfully.

"He'll sneak out to find Brad!"

"Oh, that'll go over well," he groaned. "'I'm going out to get fucked by a Schwarz. I'll be back sometime before dawn.'"

"Come on, schatz! Look up; you could be dealing with them screwing nonstop."

"They do and when I asked to join they yelled at me, so it's their own damn fault! What does Ken have that I don't?!"

"That's more like it, Kudo. I need to get something back home, I'll meet you at the shrine, ne?"

"Got it."
