Omi sat and stared at the computer screen in front of him in disbelief and mild shock. He had hacked back into the system looking for Red Shaman again. Ken's responses had been too pat and rehearsed for his liking. Not to mention that Aya had shut down the computer immediately as they had walked in the door. Aya obviously failed to realize that he could bring up whatever had been on screen with a few clicks. Ken had asked about tracking down the name shortly after Aya had talked to Lady outside the shop. It was all just too weird and entirely too suspicious. But what he was staring at on screen couldn't possibly be the woman he knew. But some sly little part of his brain whispered that he really didn't know who or what she was. He only knew what she had presented herself to be.

 

Even a week later he wondered if he had imagined the whole episode. Wondered if he had really died and if she had really brought him back from the edge of the grave. He shook his head to clear it. He had died. He knew it because Ken had said he was able to see through him. He rubbed his chest over his heart. He remembered the impact of the bullet ripping through his chest. There was only the faintest of scars to even inform him that the whole incident had been real and not a dream.

 

He looked back at the computer screen. He had scrolled through the impressive number of kills that Red Shaman had racked up over the last few years. He wondered idly if the numbers were real or exaggerated. Though it had been titled Confirmed Kills which led him to believe that whoever had put the number into the system had known what they were talking about. What had caught his attention was not the number of kills nor the apparent fact that this person had been around for over a hundred years. It had been the only known affiliations section of the documents.

Omi sat for a few moments deep in thought. Yes, Lady matched the physical description. Yes, he had seen the car and the make, model, and plates matched. According to this: the woman who had brought him back from the dead was herself a ghost.
