Hey, moimoi-chan, catch. Don't own `em, wish I did. You know the drill.

Aya lay back on the bed with his arms crossed underneath his head. Staring at the ceiling in the darkness. Guilt, shame, embarrassment and self loathing all warred within him for dominance. He sighed and rolled over on his stomach, still thinking.

He'd had to slam the door in Kudou's face otherwise the other man would have never been able to go on the mission assigned him for the night. Because Aya would have dragged him into the room with him and he wouldn't have left for several hours. Possibly days. He buried his face in the pillow. Gods, the pants! Those low slung, black leather, side laced so the skin showed through the lacing pants! Just the thought of Yohji dancing in those, teasing everyone who came his way, was enough to nearly send Aya after him.

Ken had been wrong in assuming that Aya was upset because he'd realized he liked men. He'd had that inkling for some time now but had never had time to act on it. He'd had other things on his mind. First, exacting revenge on Takatori for putting Aya-chan into a coma. Then, fighting Esset to get her back. But now that she was whole and healthy and going to one of the most prestigious boarding schools in Japan, he had started to think about his own life at her urging.

Ran, you've put your life on hold for too long because of me. I don't want you to waste any more of it worrying.

He had always found Kudou to be sexy as hell. It was something that Yohji projected and took great pride in after all. Aya was used to admiring from afar and never getting close enough to touch. He groaned, he had to get a handle on this situation before it got any worse. He had never dreamed he could get addicted to someone after only one night. His mind and certain body parts happily confirmed that it not only was possible but completely true.
Damn it. Why did his obsession have to be with the one man whom he had fought beside, bled with, covered his back, shared meals and a cover job with, but really didn't know? Because despite it all, he truly didn't know Yohji. Didn't know what his favorite color was. Didn't know what he thought. Didn't know how he felt about anything really other than that he hated lima beans.

He sighed and rolled back over. Maybe he'd go for a walk to clear his head. A walk in Red Shaman's gardens always seemed to make him feel better. He got up and made his way down the back stairs to where the doors opened out into the gardens. It still seemed to be unusually warm for October here and the flowers were still in full bloom. He wondered if it was some kind of spell that had been put on the place to make it bloom year round.

He made his way around the variety of roses. In daylight the colors were riotous, red, yellow, pink, white as well as more exotic colors. He appreciated the varieties of flowers and various other plants in the gardens. He walked past most of the day blooming plants, to the very heart of the gardens. Toward the section affectionately know as Night by the Red Shaman team. Because all of the plants there were night blooming.
He walked through the archway twined with moon flowers, touching a few gently before moving on. Thinking how much these plants reminded him of Yohji. He was night blooming as well. Only truly coming alive after the sun had set.

Aya sat down on one of the marble benches, still thinking. Invading his thoughts of Yohji was the realization that Goddess and the rest really had burned his orange sweater. He could still smell the lingering and thoroughly unpleasant stench of burned wool. He made a mental note to buy at least six more just to annoy all of them.

He turned his head upon hearing someone else step into the garden.

“Mind if I sit?” Star asked, not waiting for a reply and sitting down next to him on the bench.

He shrugged. “It's your garden.”

She smiled. “Yeah. It is. He shouldn't be out too late. Gran sent them to one of the clubs in Chicago that has ties to the clubs back in Tokyo. Evidently this is an international thing.”

Aya blinked and stared at her. “Why did I miss this?”

“Because you've been busy avoiding Balinese and everyone else for that matter.”

He shrugged and hunched his shoulders a bit.

“Look, I'm sorry if you think I dragged you two into doing something you weren't ready for. But like I've said before, it didn't look, sound or even feel like there was the least bit or resistance in either of you.”

“What makes you so sure of that?” he accused.

“I'm a telepath. Remember? I'm stronger than Schuldig and Sunny put together.”

“That has to be both a blessing and a curse,” he mused.

“It is. As Ghost says, every gift has it's price. Suffice it to say, I know what you and Yohji feel toward each other. He's hurting and upset because he thinks he's done something really wrong as far as you're concerned. Which isn't true. You haven't done anything wrong either, Ran,” she said gently. “You've always had feelings for him, you just never let yourself act on them.”

“It was just sex.”

“Keep telling yourself that, sweetheart.”
