~^~ Flower Shop ~^~

Omi looked at the phone in shock, he couldn't believe it, he refused to believe it, Aya-kun dying because of a heart attack. Aya was stronger than that. Sighing, he dialed Ken who was delivering, "Kenken, I'm closing the shop get a hold of Yohji and Setsuna and get over to the Hospital ASAP. It's Aya-kun, he's dying, Ken. I'm going to get Aya-chan from school, see you later." He hung up and looked to the crowd and pushed them out.

"Omi-kun you just opened," whined a brunette.

"I'm sorry but I have to close today. Sayonara," yelled Omi as he pulled down the door and changed the sign from open to close.

Omi got out the apron and carelessly tossed it on Aya's arrangement table. He suddenly turned and took a funeral arrangement made an hour before the fateful mission. It was made by Aya. He hopped on his scooter and headed toward Aya-chan's college. Once there, he parked closed and left the arrangement in the bike's side bag before heading inside. '99…100…101, a haw,' thought Omi before going inside the classroom.

"Excuse me Sensei, may I talk to you for a minute," said Omi looking at the female teacher, not surprised to see Birman as the instructor.

"Of course," said Birman as Omi led her out of the door. "You don't seem so surprised to see me, Bombay. Judging by the long face something's wrong. What is it?"

"Persia told me that you were watching Aya-chan. It's Abyssinian, Manx called said he was dying, a heart attack. I need to take Aya-chan with me to the hospital."

"Hai, I'll be there soon as well Bombay," replied Birman.

Soon Aya-chan came out confused but Omi took her hand and dragged her outside, explaining the situation. She already knew what they did and the dangers of their work. Soon they were off in record time. At a stop light Ken called, "Moshi, moshi, Ken-kun what is it I have Aya-chan with me and we're on our way…NANI…you can't get a hold of Yohji…ask Setsuna to find him…can't get a hold of him either…turn on tracer and trace them, if possible…wait…don't I see Yohji-kun. Look I'll talk to him just find Setsuna. Ja, Ken."

He looked at the car beside him and yelled at the Seven, "Yohji-kun!"

"No need to yell so loud, bishie. What is it? Man what's taking so long, I'm gonna miss my date with Setsuna at this rate," complained Yohji looking at the light.

"Setsuna! You know where to find him," Yohji nodded, "Get him and meet Ken and me at the hospital ASAP. Something's wrong with Aya-kun. Ja." Then Omi and Aya-chan sped away.

"Something wrong with Aya," whispered Yohji as he sped toward the park.

He didn't notice that he got out of car or walked passed the café until Setusna yelled at him, "Oi, Yohji-kun." Setsuna ran to his lover and kissed the taller assassin on the lips, "What's wrong, Koi?"

"It's Aya, Omi told me something was wrong. He had Aya-chan with him, my guess it's something bad, real bad. We have to go now," said Yohji urgently.

Setsuna nodded and followed, 'He didn't, but then again he is emotional, too emotional. Damn bastard didn't realize I was a substitute for him without Yohji knowing about it at first…well he's still oblivious to it."

Once at the hospital, they met up with Ken, Omi and Aya-chan. Together they walked up to Aya's room. When they reached the corridor in which the redhead was, they could hear crying and Aya-chan ran ahead, not waiting for them. She gasped and launched herself into the room. The others ran after here, hoping for the best not the worst but their prayers were not answered. "RAN-NII-CHAN," screamed Aya-chan in an agonizing voice.

There was Aya on top of Ran; her arms sprawled about his torso. Her tear-streaked face faced the deathly-pale one of her brother. The machine next to him was dead; someone must have gotten annoyed by its long continuous beep. Omi placed the arrangement in his hand one the side table before looking around the room. Manx was at one side with a handkerchief in her hand. Persia was bowing his head in woe. Unlike most he did not cry at first, he held that in until someone embraced him, Persia. "Let it out, Omi, let it out," his father whispered then Omi cried into his father's chest.

Ken was shocked beyond belief, he kept saying, "Yohji, shake Aya awake. Force him to wake up, Setsuna. He's not dead. I swear he's sleeping, he's sleeping."

Setsuna bowed his head in both sorrow and frustration before looking at Yohji. Behind the dark sunglasses the tall blond cried his heart out. He remembered his dream from last night. How that man said he was going to choose either life or death. He couldn't dream a day without Aya '…no Ran,' he corrected himself, 'Just because that guy's name is Ran doesn't mean this Ran is the same. He doesn't care for me. He never did.' Yet he still cried.

That was the end of Abyssinian but little did they know that Fate and the Occult had other plans for them, Ran included. Sighing, no one seen or heard a bystander from outside. He had orange red hair with a yellow bandana. He wore a green coat. 'Weiss, your troubles are just starting.' He left the hospital soon after.

~^~ One Year Later ~^~

His name Leonhart Sousuke, he had amethyst eyes hidden from the dark sunglasses, a cheerful smile, and wonderful smooth dark red almost purple black long hair that reached his lower back, it was pulled back in a ponytail. He was walking past the nearest flower shop only to find it crowded with the normal teenage girls with hormones. He realized that this was the place to get his arrangement. Smiling he walked up to the counter only to notice that no one was there. He looked around and saw a young man in an apron helping one of the blond girls.

"Excuse me," he said in his British accent.

The man turned, "Hai, how can I help you?"

"I would like a Victorian arrangement, funeral style, please," replied Sousuke, "Do you need any help?"

Omi looked at the young business man, 'About mid twenties, mostly likely from a rich family and the such.' "Do you know anything about being a florist, my friends are gone. Either just gone, moping around, or practicing with the soccer kids at the nearest school."

"I was a florist before being who I am. My names Sousuke and you are…?"

"Tsukiyono Omi, sir and thanks a lot. Okay the roses are about…" As Omi explained the prices for each flower and arrangement Sousuke let his mind wonder and thought, 'Never expected to come here again. Life's life and that's that, I'm starting to think more like my father.'

"Sousuke-san, did you hear me?"

"Of course Omi-san, I did. Now how may I help you lovely ladies." He turned to the nearest group, taking of his sunglasses.

"Ohhh, look at this one, he's so dreamy," said a redhead.

"Sorry ladies but I am already taken for the count so good luck trying to grab me," said Sousuke, smiling.

"Aww," whined the females who heard him.

"Now if any of you want to buy anything go right ahead if not please leave." For a second it would seem as he would glare at the crowd but he kept smiling, hiding behind the smile.

Omi for one reason didn't think of this man who was like his impression. He seemed to be hiding something. Hiding like he did under all his smiles a politeness. Yet he had an edge like Ran's, the one he knew, not the one Aya-chan knew but then again what did he know Ran before Weiss, nothing.

Soon the wail of a customer came to his attention, "Hai, of course."

Meanwhile, Sousuke looked at the blond with mild interest. 'Looks like he caught on just a bit, not much though. Hell look at these arrangements the ones in the corner just scream Ken and Setsuna, the ones in the other look like Omi but the nice ones in the front must be Yohji, he was always best after me of course.' He looked at the clock for a second, 'Hmm, 5 o'clock Ken should be back at any minute, Setsuna about another 5 minutes and Yohji is who knows where.' He chuckled to himself, 'Even after a year without being with them I still know their habits on time.'

When the door opened, Ken and Setsuna walked in. Neither noticed Sousuke until Ken bumped into him. "Oi, who's this?"

"Name's Sousuke, just a friendly volunteer who wanted an arrangement but with these girls I figured I would talk about that later. Who are you?"

"Ken and this is Setsuna, Yohji is who knows where, possibly still moping around and as for Aya-chan, she's visiting her brother's grave site." Ken looked thoughtful for a moment, "Hey until either of the two comeback could ya stay and help?"

"I don't see why not."

"Arigatou." Setsuna slowly studied the man with interest. He was well dressed, calm, and cheerful, 'But what's under that guise? He feels like a Mage but I can't be for certain.'

~^~ Inside the residential part of the Shop ~^~

"Aya's dead," mumbled Yohji as the thought finally sunk in. "I can't believe it. He's dead because of me, always me. Why Aya did you throw yourself in front of that…that monster?"

He began to walk to Aya's room without noticing it. He opened the door and the scent of lavender candles long burnt filled his nose. Had it been any other time, he would comment on the aromatherapy and taunt Aya for the next couple of weeks until he was at the end of Aya's katana at his heart. Yet he was too much in his grief, he stepped inside and closed the door. Tears were in his eyes as he roamed around the room.

It was tidy and neat, yet a single black book was sprawled on the bed. Yohji went to pick it up and placed it on the side table before placing his hand of the large bookcase. Many were in English and Japanese but some were in Latin, French, Spanish and German yet about a third of the large case had been of books with no titles on the bindings. Yohji thought them to be blanks but he opened the first untitled book on the top row. He opened it and gasped.

It was no journal or even had writings; it had drawings in pencil, charcoal, ink and pen. This one seemed to be drawings of his old family, Aya-chan included. They were all very detailed as were the rest in the row and the second. The third row had the first battle scenes most likely during Aya's Crasher days. The last of the blanks had titles on the bindings. The first three were called Omi, the next 3 were Ken, and then 6 were Yohji. The last 2 had Setsuna as a title. Each held drawing of the person. Yohji's were more detailed.

Yohji notice that half of the next row had the title of 'Journal' then the date. He turned back to the book he placed on the table before realizing that a stack of books were on the Aya's desk but his attention was the on he held before. Its title was 'Journal Weiss.' He opened the book and read,

"Why am I here again? Oh, yes I'm for my imouto-chan, Aya. I took her name to become an Assassin. I hope she doesn't mind but I don't think I will ever tell her. While I become tainted, she must remain pure. I'm doing this for her. I'm doing this for Revenge; I'm here for Revenge. Shi Ne Takatori…"

He scanned the pages to where Ken slashed Aya,

"I awoke in a strange bed, everything still fuzzy and a blur. Then he spoke, he being Balinese, Kudou Yohji. He asked for my name for so many times yet I stayed silent. When he spoke of Aya, I turned to look at him. He asked if he should call me Aya and finally I spoke to him and told him to do so, as I left as he exclaimed it was a girl's name. I never answered. For some reason, I felt a connection with him. There can't be, he is not like me yet I feel he is. I shall ignore it…for now."

Yohji skipped toward the middle, its date was the day Aya and Setsuna returned from the training,

"I hate him but my heart tells me I love him. I refused to acknowledge it. I refuse to say I love him. Damn it Yohji why didn't you tell me about this before? I thought you trusted me enough. Don't you know that today I was going to tell you that I LOVE YOU! That's right, The Glacier GODDAMN FUCKING LOVES YOU!!! It took me so fucking long to say it to myself that now I lost you before I had you.

"God, I tried to dismiss it like everything else and now I can't. You broke what's left of my shattered heart without realizing it. Why oh why did I have to fall in love with you? Why can't I move on? Why must I STILL LOVE YOU!!!"

By the end of that entry Yohji cried. Now he knew who was the other candidate in his dream, it was Aya '…No, Ran,' he corrected himself, 'WAIT, RAN! That mean's he was the guy who was in my dream!' With this new realization he collapsed and the book fell from his grip. Then it was opened and the date was exactly before the mission. He read,

"Manx told me more about this Occult, it is indeed the End Worshipers, I feared it so. In a way they killed my father in a way I fear they will kill me. Yet I am already, right? It does not matter but with this new predicament I must perform the choosing with my chosen, though he does not know it, yet. I need him to be close to me so my power, as a Mage doesn't go awry, so it doesn't destroy Tokyo. Every clan has a weakness, mine is to have my mate near but with Sapphire overprotecting him, I do not think I will survive much less perform the ritual. Today I may die for real this time and I desire it. Aya-chan no longer needs me; my mate does not love like I to him. What do I have to live for? I think this is how my father died…"

Yohji closed the book and held to his chest and cried once more, thankful that none of his tears fell on the pages he whispered, "I love you too, Ran. I just wish that I knew sooner."

~^~ That Evening ~^~

They were in a losing battle, a battle where they could actually die. This is not particularly the way Setsuna wanted to go but did he have a choice no. He couldn't use his powers, it would draw to much attention to him and Yohji who was at his back would feel the backlash. No this was not the way he wanted to go out, maybe on a one and one duel with Ran but not this way with more than a thousand demons fighting Weiss.

Ken and Omi were not so far away also back to back. Ken seemed to handle the stress of the fight much better than Omi. Then again Omi fought from the sidelines not on the front same went with Yohji. Setsuna gasped as one of the wyrms slashed at his arm. He quickly repeated in kind. Soon he could hear voices like yells from some unknown force. He goddamned hoped it was some sort of cavalry. How was Weiss supposed to know that the Occult was going to dispose of them this night?

He heard them more clear and Yohji did too before groaning, "Just great, Schwartz decides to finish off the same day we are overwhelmed with demons."

"Not today," yelled Crawford as he and Schuldich entered the fray with Nagi safely bringing Omi back to the safe zone. Falfarfello took his place besides Ken who looked shocked but Falfarfello nodded and motioned him to go with the rest of Weiss as Nagi and Omi followed him. Soon the group was in a circle.

"Why aren't ya killing us off," asked Ken.

"Cause, Persia's now our boss too and he want us to help you as for these guys we have to wait until the Crimson Mage decides to show up but right now Brad is having a blind spot so we don't know who is the Mage," replied Schuldich, nonchalantly.

"So now were allies, isn't that great Omittchi," asked Nagi.

If Omi weren't so focused on fighting, he would have gagged Nagi, "Hai but not now love."

"Wait, you two are an item and you never bother to tell us," exclaimed Yohji.

"Yes Yotan," confirmed Omi before focusing on the battle, "Once this is over, Oracle, I want the details on this Occult and Mage stuff."

"Just like your father," chuckled Brad.

"Enough chitchat we have a job to do," yelled Setsuna after slicing another demon down.

"You have no need for that," yelled a familiar voice as Aya-chan in a leather jacket and outfit jumped into the middle of the circle.

"Aya," exclaimed Ken, surprised to see his beloved next to him.

"Hai, Persia sent me with one other. I'm the Crimson Mage," as she spoke her metal fans unfolded, "My family was always involved with Weiss in one way or another. Father trained me in this art." She proved that statement by slicing the surrounding Demons in the neck with one fan toss.

Amazed, Ken said, "Remind me that I owe you dinner."

She perked up and smiled, "Okay but first let's get rid of everything," then she chanted the spell her brother did before,

"Demon of Darkness,
Wielder of Evil and Woe
Creator of Destruction
I banish you from this plane
With the Blood of Life
Breath of Might
Power of Darkness' Plight
Demon be gone!"

Soon another portal was revealed and all but the humans were sucked in. Sighing, Aya turned to Ken and said, "Father always said that I would have to do something with Weiss but it was Ran that would truly be apart of it. I'm only a back up. Forgive me for not telling you."

"I already did, Koi," then he kissed her on the lips.

~^~ Next Day ~^~

"Sousuke, how are you," exclaimed Omi as the familiar man appeared.

"I'm fine, Omi-kun do you need any help but I am really here to talk about my funeral arrangement. It was a pity I couldn't talk about it yesterday when I first came here but here I am."

"Of course, Yohji's here as well as the others they're inside. Momoe-san could you care over please," asked Omi of the old lady who nodded and went back to petting her cat, "Please follow me, Sousuke-san."

Sousuke followed the small assassin into the back room and winced at the messy floor. Thankfully Omi didn't see it, then again Omi should have clean here. Sousuke sighed as one thought came to mind, Nagi. Schwartz must have made the alliance. Soon he found himself in the nook of the residential area and surprised to see Aya and Ken on the couch cuddling, 'Well I always tried to match-make those two.' Sousuke smiled.

"Please sit, Sousuke-san," said Omi motioning Sousuke to sit, "now you said you wanted a funeral arrangement, Victorian style. Okay what type of flowers?"

"Crimson Roses, Aloe, Anemone, Arbutus, Aspen, Auricula Scarlet color, Astilbe, Balm, Bay Leaf, Bittersweet, Bleeding Heart, Box, Buttercup, Canary Grass White color, Canterbury Bell, Carnation Deep Red color, Cedar Leaf, Chrysanthemum Red color, Clover whiter color, Cypress, and Edelweiss. Five arrangements all different if possible, please," replied Sousuke.

"That's an awful lot for one funeral," exclaimed Omi but suddenly a sudden yell from Ken made Omi look up and yelled, "KENKEN don't yell so loud, I'm with a customer!"

"Yes it is but not too much I hope and yes it's how much?"

Omi stated the price and Sousuke paid graciously in cash. "I have to go now Omi-kun, here's my number. Just call if necessary, all right? If you need any help I'll be happy to come over."

"Arigatou, Sousuke-san."

"Please call me Sou-kun, we are friends after all. Ja ne, Omi-kun," and with that he disappeared from Omi's sight. Yet he didn't go far, after exiting the little shop, he met up with Manx. "Hello Manx, long time no see. How are you," asked Sousuke.

"I don't know what is better you as Abyssinian or Ghost?" She smiled.

"You here for them or me, Manx," asked Sousuke.

"You, here's the tape for the mission," her voice dropped to a whisper, "It's the Occult, we want you to take out their second. The information is on the tape."

"Arigatou, Manx," replied Sousuke taking the tape and walking off into the distance.

However Manx did not disappear as well, instead she walked inside and greeted Omi. After some hustle and bustle to get everyone in the room, Aya-chan and Schwartz included. She spoke, "You mission is to eliminate the third in command of the Occult, however as for the truth you want we must decline until after this mission."

"Manx, we almost got killed by the Occult last night," exclaimed Ken, "and you deny our request."

She ignored him and continued, "You must eliminate the target before he rendezvous with the Second, which we have ordered our best to do. Should the Third and the Second meet, prepare for another long assault. The information is on the tape, Good luck. Are you all in?"

"Hai but the other agent, how do we know who he is?" Nagi was hesitant.

"He wears a whitish grey trench coat, a pale off-white scarf with a red cross, black pants and boots, and gloves with red crosses. He is also a Mage so when he uses his power the crosses glow a soft white to a brilliant white."

"Arigatou Manx," replied Yohji.

"Ja ne, Weiss, Schwartz."

~^~ A Week later, night ~^~

It was too quiet, way too quiet and Sousuke hated it, the silence. Everything was silent, even the usual sounds of the night had been absent. It was a week after he received his mission and he was already bored of it. His target was set to appear any moment before the rendezvous with his third in command. That target was supposed to be eliminated by Weiss if Birman told him correctly but everything that was involved with her seemed to go a little awry if you are not careful yet even that usually tends to be true.

"I hate this," mutter Sousuke angrily, "I wish I was with Weiss right now but…" He turned his head and saw the target come out of the vehicle. Suddenly he heard sounds of gunfire and shook his head violently, 'It can't be them but Schwartz and Crawford's blind spot still in tact anything could happen. I can't go. I have to stay and complete the mission. The target comes first, always first.'

His hand went to the sniper rifle at his side and he aimed. The target was an Emerald Mage called Hiro Rei. He was once an old colleague of the Takatori Reiji. Takatori was venom in his lips; even the sound renewed the old hatred he had of the Bastard. He shook his head more violently to get the image out of his head. He had to focus. He aimed for the head but soon a violent tumor rumbled the area and the target was gone, Mage Teleportation. Sousuke sighed and began to gather his close combat supplies and ran to the source from the shadows.

Just as he thought, his target and Weiss's have met and were responsible for the earthquake. Soon the battle cries of Ken went to his ears. 'No, they didn't their caught in another assault. Damn you Occult.' He took aim again, this time with his colt .44. Though it was a pistol it was good for close up kills. He fired but a shield blocked his bullets, soon wyrms on all sides were searching for him. If only he could use fire but his element was water and air not fire. Aya-chan of the other hand…

Another tumor was felt and Sousuke flung himself into the field of battle. Yet as soon as he was in the open he was entangled in sharps wires similar to Yohji's. He fiercely struggled to get free but it was futile. Sousuke looked around after stopping to struggle; sure enough Hiro was looking at him with the Third right next to him. "What do you want with me," asked Sousuke vehemently.

"I see that Weiss has come for me just like my father, you must be Ghost. If I recalled correctly that was also the name of your father," replied the 30-year-old man.

"I am not like my Father," screamed Sousuke.

"Oh, yes you are. From your appearance to the way you act. I can see how my father lusted after yours. Now to fully repeat the past I will lust after you and taint you with my essence," Hiro smiled evilly at the thought.

"I doubt you will succeed. Black Flare," yelled Sousuke as the dark energy of his magic sprang from his outstretched hand.

Hiro raised his arms to hopefully shield the blow but it was of no use. The energy was too much and he was sent flying. During this Sousuke phased out of the wires and stood outside of them, in his hand was a saber. Hiro got up and summoned his own weapon, an epee. "You know you are repeating all the actions of your father, Ghost. All them I won't be surprised if the outcome of this act is the same as the last time."

"This is going to be the last of the darkness the Occult will have. I intend to destroy this organization for good," with that Sousuke saluted his foe and they began to do combat. Meanwhile the Third in Command, Kaze Ryu, was fiercely using his magic to keep the others at bay. From the corner of Sousuke's eye, he could see that Setsuna and Aya were overpowering but was that enough? He didn't know but he quickly ducked, as Hiro was about to slice his head off.

Sousuke hissed with venom, a sound that he used to do so long ago. He parried the intending jab and managed to embed his blade unto his foe's stomach yet it wasn't enough. Sousuke wanted the man to suffer but soon Kaze would gain the upper hand over Setsuna and Aya. He quickly shot a bullet that prevented all magic at Hiro. His shoot was true, hitting the shoulder. Later he will return to finish off his target in rage but now he ran to the other side of the battlefield.

He hid around the corner of a building before shooting at the Third. Shocked, the target looked around for the shooter only to be hit by one of Aya's fire spells. He sent her away with another earthquake but Setsuna caught her and casted a shield spell over them as another tumor occurred. Meanwhile, Kaze was barraged by projectiles both from Sousuke and Omi.

Sousuke looked on and saw that Kaze summoned more demons this time was vampires. Compared to the wyrms, they were superior and smarter. He spied Yohji and Nagi hastily tried to subdue the force. Sousuke pulled his hand out and stated the one spell he knew that could do the demons in, "Dark Tornado!" Sure enough the black whirlwind sucked all the demons into a cage made by the winds fierce blows.

Kaze yelled out, "Come out and show your self!"

Sousuke slowly walked out of the shadows that concealed him. "You tried to do away with the fragile balance of this realm. Like my father before me I shall bring justice to those you dare break that balance." He looked up with his amethyst eyes flashing behind the dark sunglasses he wore. "I am called the Ghost of Crimson and I shall be your executioner." He pounced on the Third, his saber over his head. Kaze moved out of the way to be able to knock the assassin with a blast of earth.

Sousuke didn't notice that the crosses on outfit were glowing white but his glasses shattered and his amethyst eyes narrowed. He yelled, "Sapphire Squall!" Soon his entire body was swallowed by water before shooting out to the enemy who was pushed backwards. All he knew as Sousuke stuck him was that he might lose, a testimony to the assassin's will. The last thing Kaze knew was a saber being impaled into his chest. "You truly are your father's son," Kaze breathed as the life was drained from his eyes. At this Sousuke turned and faced his once beloved allies and foes.

"Sousuke," gasped Omi as he recognized the assassin.

"Hai," replied Sousuke, a smile no longer on his face. He faced the part of the field he was once at and noticed that in his mind's eye that Hiro had escaped. The man sighed and walked away before noticing that someone groped him, it was Aya.

"You are alive," she whispered, her eyes bright and with tears.

"I don't know who you are talking about," denied Sousuke, "I suggest that you send these demons away or we all will regret it." With that he phased out of her arms and teleported to his original place to grab his things. "Until next time, Weiss, Schwartz," his voice was only a whisper on the wind.
